Today I had lunch at Dark Arts Brew and Bar with some friends. I had no idea of the menu before I went and really couldn't believe the choices on the menu. I am both Vegan and can't have wheat, due to being allergic to it. Their menu caters for both. You guys are to be commended for your wonderful menu. And seriously, the food is amazing! Whomever the chef is, he or she, is to be complimented. I had the Potato Rosti, it was truly melt in your mouth delicious! The staff are friendly and make you feel very welcome. I am definitely going back there! They are amazing. I can't speak highly enough about this establishment and actually everything about this restaurant is wonderful! Everyone enjoyed their meals.

I'm just in love with this place. Coffee is awesome, getting addicted to their cold drip option! Amazing artwork and soft lighting with friendly staff make up for the best cafè in town. Just go there and check it out for yourself and you'll be back for your daily coffee .

We went to dinner last Thursday night and I was pleasantly surprised with this gem of a place tucked away in an alley. After reading a few of the comments I thought I would have my say. A rare find in this neck of the woods! Dark Arts is the type of place one would find in Melbourne or Sydney/Newtown, so to have one here in Coffs is a sheer delight. Many people have commented in a negative way however I think they are being harsh in comparison to what other places have to offer and that Dark Arts has only recently moved to offering dinner and trying to get their mojo on, to get it on a roll. Love the ambience, the art, the plush historic dungeon look with stained glass windows and the lighting....... very funky indeed!! Staff went out of their way to please and the chef also made an appearance....... very vogue! Love it and I shall go back for more!

Highly recommend this place tucked away. I especially like how the old antique tables are all well spaced, each with its own unique style lighting. A lovely place to catch up with someone for a chat. The food was fantastic and the staff very friendly. I will be back very soon.

Great venue with some nice beer (The Darkness dark ale is particularly nice). Also excellent Jazz music provided by Heather Rose on Saturday night. Would highly recommend people come here to experience the excellent music, food and drinks.

The atmosphere is great and it was the best breakfast I have had in a cafe in Coffs Harbour, I also bought their coffee beans which are awesome, can't wait for Friday Vinyl on 22 September

Went there for lunch a little while back with my partner. Awesome atmosphere, lovely food and great service. It's not often that the chef comes out after you mentioned to the waiter that you have a peanut allergy and to please leave the nuts out of the food to double check if there's any nuts you can and would like to have instead, does the allergy include certain food oils etc. just so they can make sure everything's just so. I thought that was a really nice touch. And the food was indeed very enjoyable.

Ok, so I have found my new home, if anyone needs me I will be living at Dark Arts Coffee Academy! The service is exceptional, with friendly staff, the atmosphere...I am pretty sure I am somewhere in gothic romania circa 1820, and it's non invasive lighting is a most pleasant experience on my pre-coffee eyes, the food is awesome, and with their upcoming late nights for coffee and cake they are bringing a little deep south (Melbourne) culture to the north :) It only goes up to 5 stars, else they would get more.

Interesting decor, but didn't like how they seated a stranger at the end of our table without asking if we minded. Other customers waiting for their coffee sat there as well. The smoothie was amazing, the poached eggs tasted great, but the toast was a bit hard to cut. Friendly staff though.

We decided here as a last minute brunch! (We slept in) the coffee was at the perfect temperature and they used milk lab almond milk that’s one of the best brand almond milk for coffee! The atmosphere relaxed and funky with live music makes the experience special, the food is tasty and well presented, with a perfect serving size

I absolutely loved this place! Stopped here for breakfast and their vegan options were great. I really enjoyed the house Rosti and their patties. The coffee was lovely and service was prompt and friendly. I loved the vibe of this place with the whole vibe of it. I definitely want to come back to eat their food again and maybe experience the night life.

A bit of Melbourne in Coffs Harbour! Very funky decor and a distinctly city vibe, this cafe offers plenty of seating but limited parking. Friendly staff and good food of very generous proportions. Numerous choices for vegetarians and vegans was much appreciated. With gloomy lighting and an eclectic decor, it's a bit like eating in a stylish second hand furniture store, which is a refreshing change from cookie cutter cafes and I enjoyed the quirkiness

Tasty food and great atmosphere! All of my food was super hot and fresh, and I loved the styling and decor. Drinks were ready very quickly and the wait for food wasn’t too long either.

Hidden cafe that packs plenty of charm and character into a innocuous building in a lane way. The food servings are large, you will not go hungry. We got the breakfast burrito and waffles and they were both delicious. Coffee was delicious, so we bought a kilo of beans as well to takeaway! ☕ Highly recommended, will visit again next time.

The Dark Arts Cafe & Bar is a great place to grab drinks and hang out with friends. The atmosphere is charming, and there's so many good photo opportunities. However, the food is quite expensive and the portions are small. I would probbaly fill up before arriving.

Great atmosphere with the whole vintage/magic theme but felt a bit unclean due to the very old furniture. The eggs benny was nothing sepical, the muffin was too dry.
