I had been so excited to try this place as my partner raved about it for a long time. The staff were very friendly and guided us to our seats. The food is pricy but it’s nice for going out and special occasions. The food wasn’t exactly mind blowing but it was my first time having curly fries and I think they were the best. The place did look incredible and has a nice feel to it, would of loved to have tried the desserts.

Had a great experience at Hog's Coffs Harbour! Food was great, drinks were great and customer service was excellent. My entire family had a lovely meal here. My burger was delicious. The floor staff were absolutely brilliant at what they did - coming out to every table to introduce themselves and talk through the menu. A lot of extra work for them, but it did make the experience really fun. My partner said the ribs were amazing. The meat just falls off the bone and it’s great to share if you get 2 sides like the Caesar salad and fries. Would definitely recommend to everyone and cant wait to come back here again.

I’m not normally a Hogs Breath fan but this place converted me. Our food was good, served in time and amazing portion sizes. But what sealed the deal was the man running the place, absolutely 100% the best employee anyone could want. He was working with reduced staff due to illness/Covid and he remained pleasant, calm and attentive even when more patrons kept coming in. It appears Hogs has also got a new menu of food which provides more healthy options. I will be back for work to Coffs Harbour and I can tell you this is where I’ll get most of my dinners. To the Lebanese guy running the place with limited staff - well done! Look forward to seeing you soon and your wonderful demeanour.

Had dinner tonight with family and the service was the best I have every had at a Hogs Breath even though they were clearly short staffed. Shawna🤰🤰🤰 was fantastic with our orders taken quickly, our drinks arrived within a few minutes and our food arrived in a timely manner. Polite, hardworking staff. Very grateful they could accommodate our party of 3 without a booking. Well done guys! Excellent service under difficult circumstances.

My family and I came in tonight for a Mothers Day dinner The food was absolutely amazing. Wait time wasn't long at all, even though they were pretty busy. The staff on the floor were great! And it was so nice to see them all genuinely happy and smiling. Really made the atmosphere great to be in. Megan took our order. She was fast and efficient and so lovely to deal with. We had an issue with the kids drinks but she was right onto it and sorted it out so quickly. Jason the manager was out mingling and waiting on tables. You dont see that often. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good meal 😊❤️ Thanks again

The search for a satisfying but affordable lunch can be hit and miss on holidays but the Cheesy Steak Burger on the $9.90 lunch menu at Hog's Breath Coffs Harbour was perfection. The generous portion of melt-in-the-mouth steak on a soft glazed bun served with curly fries was delicious and even better with a cold beer. My wife enjoyed her choice from the lunch menu but once given a taste of my steak is clear about her choice tomorrow. Thanks Hannah for great service and excellent food.

We found the service great, the staff were very attentive and were constantly checking if we needed more drinks etc. The shared entree was a great size and everything was fresh and tasted great. We all had steaks for main and they were cooked to perfection. Very happy with the food and the service. The new management have really turned the place around. Can’t wait to come back again.

We were a group of 8. I rang earlier in the day to ask if they could take our booking for 8.30pm - half an hour before closing for dessert and a drink. They were so accommodating! The staff were fabulous and so friendly. The desserts and drinks were delicious! You wouldn't have know it was closing time at all. Highly recommend!

Dear Hogs Breath, Thank you for completing ruining our family Easter. We arranged to attend your establishment in Coffs Harbour with hopes that we could enjoy a lovely meal. Now we could have chosen a fancier place, but thought we would try a more casual dinner whilst being on holiday. To say we have been utterly disappointed is an understatement. Not only was the service shabby to say the least, we never actually received our meal. That would be because after being there for over an hour and a half we were still to eat our mains. After asking the waiter more than once about where our meals were we decided to leave, telling him we had had enough. We were then accosted by the manager screaming at us that we had to pay for drinks. Now we would have been happy to pay for what we received but I’m not a child that needs to be yelled at and do not take kindly to threats and told I’m a thief! We paid and left. At no point did Cat the manager apologise for the service or our lack of meal or tell us why we hadn’t received our meals as yet when people all around us had; the fact that we happened to be the only brown people in the place may just be a coincidence. I guess that the shitty service of staff stems from the top so shouldn’t have expected more. She couldn’t even tell me when the owner would be back but instead gave me a fake number. I wouldn’t recommend Hogs Breath Coffs Harbour for strays let alone other people. Hopefully your other establishments treat customers better than this poor excuse for a restaurant. This place was by far the worst place I've ever been to eat ( not that I even got to eat ) I Thought it would be a great place to take my family !! The service was terrible, the wait time for your food was disgraceful and when the food finally made it to our table it was really poor quality and very small servings !! Mine wasn't even what I ordered !! My partners meal was chicken and bacon dish the bacon was disgusting and that was the exact words from my 7 year old son who tried some and who also refused to eat his pasta dish !! (When he loves pasta) U know your food is crap when a 7 year old won't eat your bacon !! I could go on but but to wrap it up in one word..... APPALLING !!

Well I wish i had read the reviews before i even walked in the door. The staff were very apologetic, the previous reviews show why. Drinks were ordered, mugachino for the mother in law, what we got was NOT a mug. Given the delay to get the drinks my husband asked if the coffee was hot, "i hope so I just made it" was the response. Must have been frozen when he started then because hot was not an accurate description. When pointed out the error in the coffee size, we got a "sorry, but it would say mugachino on the docket and it doesn't" not a "let me get that fixed for you". I ordered chicken tenders. HA! jokes on me, nothing tender about that chicken. Again this was pointed out to the staff member and we get another "sorry". No "we will discount you" no offer for fresh chicken, just half arsed sorry. See they are well practised with sorry. Must over fry all their chicken. The mains showed and we were asked if we wanted any further drinks, we gave the mugachino another go. This was also barely warm, but it did come in a mug. A second beer was ordered for my husband, he was kind enough to point out that the beer should come with a glass, that drinking straight out of the bottle was not preferred. Guess what, another apology that the first beer needed to be consumed directly from the stubbie and no glass offered. The ribs ordered were not too bad, my MIL ordered a steak. Looked OK, shame half of it ended up back on the plate because it was so grisly she couldn't chew it. By this point we were done and asked for the check. That arrived quickly enough, shame no-one came back so that we could actually pay the bill. Pretty sure we could have just left, of the 3 staff actually supposed to be working, only two of them didn't seem to have time to chat with their mates, the third seemed to find work getting in the way of his socialising. He was also the cold coffee maker and the constant apologiser. See, practice. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone looking for value for money or even edible food. Perhaps the owners should read these reviews rather than relying on their customer service cards for their feedback.

We had an unpleasant experience here 6 years ago but after a wonderful experience at the coolangatta hogs breath we gave coffs another go. Reserved a table, got there no reservation had been noted down. They found a table for us upstairs. Let me say the room temperature upstairs is so hot do not get seated there. Drinks came out. We ordered. Starters came out, kids meals came out then about an hour later the waiter asked how the main meals were. We had not received them. I would have been happy to just pay and leave after sweltering in that dining room for and hour. But we got the "Oh they are plating up now" . For a prime cut that has been cooking for 18 hours one would think it wouldnt take that long. And the resturant was not full. Meals came out mushrooms were charred. My Steak was tough rubbish. My wifes was good. We let the cashier know. But no attempt was made to remedy the dissatisfaction or even just an apology. After trying them again I must say I was very disappointed with both the service and food. Even the cleanliness I mean even tables that had been vacated for over an hour had not been cleaned off. I could not recommend this particular Hogs to anyone.

Worst Hogs Breath restaurant ever. Arrived inside no Air con and it was so hot, so I asked for a table outside. The girl that took us to our table didn't bother wiping down the table from previous customers, she just cleared the table and not wipe it down. So wiped it myself. After that no one came to take our orders after sitting for 2o minutes, have to call someone to come take our orders. Ordered our food, out of the 4 main meals I ordered only 3 came out. No cutlery on the tables have to get it ourselfs. One of our Main meal was the seafood *What a Catch* the Calamari tasted so yuckkk and discusting. Never ever will I be going back to this Hogs Breath ever. Been to St Marys, Parramatta and Brighton Le Sands Hogs Breath, they are way way better than Coffs Harbour. Will never recommend ur restaurant to any of my family and friends. �������

7 of us went to Hogs Breath tonight in Coffs Harbour.. The service was ok, not great but they were half smiling. We ordered a mixed entree with calamari, chicken and a few other bits. The chicken was 110% rotten. We bit into it and it absolutely stunk. How they couldn’t tell is beyond me. I told the waiter when she came to collect the plate and she said she would pass it on. No apology. After an hour and 15 minutes we had 2 kids meals delivered, then 15 minutes later the mains. So one and a half hours later we were eating. The children were finished by then. After paying for our meals we realised they still charged us the full $27 for a rotten entree and I asked why they have charged us when it was inedible. He said ummm uhhhh there’s not much I can do now that you’ve already paid. Again no apology he was completely rude. After a minute of me still awkwardly standing there he then offered a $27 voucher which I declined I will never ever eat there again and definitely didn’t want a voucher. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Waste of time and money. Oh and we didn’t get kids drinks or ice cream that comes with the meal �

We went with our family tonight for tea. The meals came out staggerdly, however we were a group of 14. My husbands plate was dirty. His steak was very rare when medium was ordered. I also ordered meduim steak which was very very different to my husbands. My mum ordered very well done steak and got meduim steak. Our biggest complaint is that the plate was unclean.

Came here for new years eve drinks and dinner. One of the worst experiences ever! Seven of us for dinner, one meal was good, one meal was OK, four meals were really bad and one meal didn't even make it to the table. Really slow and unorganised service. Diluted drinks, wrong food orders and a ridiculous long wait for food. Items doubled on the bill. Strongly discourage anyone from coming here!! If I could give zero I would! Overall very very bad experience.

I had the worst meal i have ever eaten from there then the manager wouldn't listen kids meals came 20 mins apart then had to ask where our meals where then the meat tasted like the grills had never been cleaned what a joke

I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star !! Was terrible service food wasn't cooked properly ! Staff weren't helpful and service was appalling !! Food didn't even come out on time and was wrong when it came out!! Kids didn't even eat it, it was so rubbish !! Don't waste your money !!

I dined in at Hog's Breath Coffs Harbour last weekend and wow what a treat. The staff were super friendly, they seated us quickly and checked up on us several times to make sure we were ok. Food came out within half an hour of ordering which we thought was reasonable. I had the steak which was cooked to my liking medium rare and my partner had the ribs which he really enjoyed. The staff continually checked if everything was ok. We loved the brownie for dessert. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back.

Eaten here a few times and would definitely recommend coming back!! Food was perfect, and the atmosphere was very relaxed but the staff were very efficient. Gonna arrange a girls night out and come here for food before hand ��

Took the misses there yesterday for Valentines day, upon first impressions the place seemed a little disorganized and understaffed however the manager and his wife showed up shortly after our arrival and were fantastic, He looked after our table personally i was quite impressed with the service.

Very disappointed with our experience at this place tonight. Started with our drink order we had to ask twice for. We then chose to go with the 3 course meal for $29.90 x 2. Entree - 1. Salt & Pepper calamari was that chewy. 2. garlic bread wasn’t even cooked. Main - 1. Asked for well done steak got medium (very bloody), plus the core of the lettuce in the salad 2. Mushroom sauce very ordinary. Dessert when we ordered we were told they only had apple crumble left, so we decided to have that. When it came out it wasn’t apple crumble. It was “apple sundae” it was apples with ice cream on & a dark sprinkle over the top. When the dessert came out it was dripping all down the glass and down the waiters hands. When we asked what it was the waiter couldn’t even tell us. He went to the kitchen to find out and see what else he could offer. He came back and said we could give you a rocky road sundae which we were previously told they had none left. He then replied with they just got an order of more of the rocky road sundae. We sent the desserts back as we weren’t eating that rubbish they sent out. We then complained which got put in the managers hands. The Manager had no interest or apologies about the meal we received and we were told we can’t give you a discount. Maybe the attitude of the manager is a reflection of the way the restaurant is being run at the moment. Good food, amazing staff and a wonderful night out with the family.

The staff was absolutely lovely, service was great and the food was cooked quickely. Went there for a birthday and they sung happy birthday and paied for the birthday girl’s meal. 10/10 would highly recommend! Lovely experience.

First thing the lady who seated us after we had been waiting for 5min to be greeted was grumpy as hell . We finally got our table which was booked every thing was great . 20min later no one had checked into ask if we wanted a drink or anything, half a hour later I went to find someone to ask if we have to go somewhere and order I got a smile as a response and no answer . 45min later with nothing at all from anyone we left . <br/>Not just us 4 other tables left as well 3 who where already in there and 1 who walked in just before us . <br/>Will never be back and should have listened to the person who was leaving when we got there and not bothered going in . Worst experience in Coffs Harbour .

Took the kids out for dinner while on holidays. Good kids menu and we were offered colouring in supplies and a high chair on arrival. Staff were friendly and efficient. Good range on the menu. Kids food came early which was good for the hangry toddler. Meals were fresh and tasty. Parking is busy due to the number of restaurants in the vicinity.

Quick and polite service. Food was, as always, with Hogs Breath, quick and well done. Didn't try to upsell or anything (no mention of desserts) and left us to our meal in peace.

Boring is what comes to mind first other than overpriced. Yes the steak is quite nice but not for $50 by the time you add a side, sauce and drink. Its really just a jazzed up fast food restaurant with tacky merch. My order was delivered far later than everyone else's and my partner who had the ribs was less than impressed, horrible taste and really fatty not melt in your mouth

What a catch, eh? Whatever, more like. This seafood plater - 2 prawns, 2 flathead fish, 2 calamari rings (all panko battered) plus crab cake, sweet potato fries and a 'creamy tartare' dip - weighs all in at just under $29. You can choose Hogs curly fries if you prefer.<br/><br/>The Hogs Breath, undeniably, has some good value burgers and steaks and is a masses pleasing success story where pub grub is concerned. But quality wise - as our seafood search failed (most places are closed, surprisingly after 8) and with the YKnot having an hour wait - this backup plan really was an average affair. <br/><br/>Bit by bit, piece by piece, the whitening cod (*****) is beautiful, which, joined by the jumbo sweet potato fries (****) would have sufficed as a meal on its own and brought about a much different outcome. <br/><br/>The crab cake (**.5) is meaty and juicy but becomes too much after a few mouthfuls, the prawns (*) don't hit the mark in terms of flavour, the sauce (*) is horrendous and the calamari unfortunately was eaten by Arline Bentulan Cimagala. <br/><br/>The Two birds Golden Ale (****.5) alongside the fish and wedges was the highlight and the service was fast and friendly outside of one whinging waitress, which I think is commonplace anywhere you go. Job frustration in this industry will always be high. Rating - taking everything into account - remains a 3.

Arrived on a Monday night to be told we couldn't be seated for 15 minutes as they were too busy serving large tables of customers. Then the manager(?) came out and said we could actually sit down but wouldn't be served for 15 minutes. A bit surprising as the place was less than half full. Don't know how they would cope on a busy night.<br/><br/>When we finally ordered we were informed that they had run out of the slow cooked prime rib (mustn't have expected any customers tonight) and we could get rib fillet cooked on the grill. Mine arrived extremely rare (ordered medium) so I sent it back. When they brought it back it was not the same steak but one about a third of the size. They had also taken away the vegetables I had ordered and replaced them with salad. <br/><br/>So when we went to pay the manager did reduce the bill and they had offered a free drink when I sent the steak back. But really there was no apology offered. Just some blaming of new staff who were supposedly being trained. Have been to several other Hogs Breaths many times in the past. This one really is not a good advertisement for the brand.<br/><br/>

Didn't eat all of my food (same with 5 others out of the 12 people there). Things were late, steak... not medium rare, greyer than my nans hair. Mushroom sauce steak didnt come with mushroom sauce. Only order the curly fries IMO

In one word blah.....entre was over, medium steak came out grey. Mushroom tasted like they were from a tin, my friend had ribs which were barely warm swimming in what tasted like BBQ from a home brand bottle....wait staff were louder than the customers and the topic of conversation we had to listen to...not by choice but by the fact they were extrely loud...was all about vomit...not a pleasant thing to hear while trying to eat. Basic food ie meat and 3 veg at fine dining prices. The food was terrible and we will never return. The place felt sticky with grime, the food was plastic looking. Terrible experience overall :(

Disgusted. My husband and I have visited many Hogs Breath cafe's around the country and this one has to be by far the worst. First the atmosphere while being typical of a hogs breath is quiet deceptive because the restaurant itself is quiet bad. The service is below average with servers that have no heart for their customers. Our food was late and was below average some bacon was burnt the curly fries were soggy on the bottom and if that's a salad then I'd be better off eating a shrub from across the street. They brought the wrong cocktails wrong sauce and then did not convey my dairy allergies to the kitchen (hello? You could kill someone?!) twice for dinner and desert. Either up your game or let someone else in that can do a better job.
