Review Mango Thai - Colac

They have a whole vegan menu and are really thorough at checking allergies and vegan sauces. We had pad Thai, ginger stir fry, sweet n sour stir fry, fried rice, pad c u and rice paper rolls. So good!

Great food and fabulous service. My husband had a sore mouth and needed soft food. Waitress said she would make sure vegetables were cooked for longer. Lovely suggestion and food was perfectly cooked.

We were going from 12 apostles to Melbourne and wanted to have Thai food for dinner. Accidentally we found this gem of a place. The food was delicious and the service was awesome with a smile. Be careful when you say you want spicy, the red chillies might give you a hard time. Overall food, service, staff everything was exceptional. Try their fried rice and stir fry's, tastes amazing. The one and only issue is the eggplant in my green curry was not great.

Great food. Staff are very accommodating. If you pass by Colac, don’t forget to include this restaurant in your itinerary.

Unexpectedly really good Thai food in Colac, great atmosphere and very friendly staff even when it was super busy. The wait for food was a little long but the Red. curry, Roti, and Panang curry were well worth the wait. Just remember if you are in town from a bigger city that everywhere in the smaller towns close really early so don't have a late lunch!

Mango is the most welcoming and kindest host you could ever get. My wife and I love this place and highly recommend Mango Thai. Cashew nut chicken is my favourite with coconut rice yummy

3.5I love all coconut curries... Tasted great!
Barramundi tasted a bit fishy though.

Atomosphere was nice, would've been better if things stacked around the store were put away, but I'm nit picking here.

This was the second time I have been here and it was just as good as the first time around.

Gluten-free was not an issue for them and the staff were all extremely friendly and very happy to try and please.

I will definitely go back again.

It’s always my favourite place to get the best fried rice and ToM yum. Cozy place, very friendly staffs and Boss, feel like family. Never missed this place every time I am going to Colac. 👌

Awesome food! Great selection or drinks.
My picks are the curry puffs lamb, chicken and veg are all amazing, satay skewers, Penang chicken curry and the fried rice this is our go to take away, they know us by name and always friendly. If your in town check them out.

In with a small group for dinner. The restaurant is surprising large, bright and airy once you enter. The staff are friendly and easy to grab their attention when required. The menu large enough to satisfy most people (probably too much to choose from) and the wines are reasonably priced. The Chicken Satay and Massaman Curry were great as was the Green Chicken Curry. Mango Ice cream was a great finsh. Back to try more soon.

Update,
Popped in on a cold night for something warm and flavoursome to warm us up! It's a fairly eclectic colletion of items that are displayed on the walls but somehow it doesn't look too bad. The waitress was friendly as she showed us to our table with menus and water. Not sure about the cutlery and napkins in used food tins... but at least the tins were clean. We had prawn dumplings, they came out and we had to ask for some plates, lovely pastry but they were bland in flavour.
Then I had the Penang curry, this was a standout dish, being full of flavours and just enough spice to create a few sweat beads on the forehead. We also had the prawn casserole, disappointing as it was lacking flavour and the dish was basically five prawns and rice noodles with a thin slice of red capsicum. We put this last dish down to a bad choice on our part but it certainly was not a casserole. Nevertheless it was still worth visiting really worth another visit.
Genuinely good Thai food plus mango the guy who owns it is a legend and really nice guy!! Would definitely recommend going here if you are in Colac. Weird about the rating of only 2.9 because we had a great experience and have been to many Thai restaurants in Melbourne and this was up there.

Outstanding Thai - in either city or country
Best Thai we've eaten in Oz in a very long time. Fresh, balanced cooking, lovely fresh vegetables beautifully cut. Clear clean flavours. Flavoursome north eastern Thai options that I've not seen on many other menus.
Welcoming, professional and friendly service.
This place is an absolute gem. You Lucky buggers Colac - if I lived there I'd eat my way through the whole menu.

This place is the best stop if you drive back to Melbourne from great ocean road trip. They serve the best authentic Thai food just like in Thailand. The staff are very friendly. Mango Thai is the best Thai restaurant in colac.

Without a doubt, the most delectable and tasty Thai food my fiancée and I have ever eaten. Warm and welcoming staff with a friendly atmosphere! Also, very generous wine glass sizes! Passing through from Melbourne, we will definitely be dining here again! A+
