I cant get enough of the cheese from Yarra Valley Dairy. They do a phenomenal chilli goats cheese that I haven’t experienced anywhere else. I’d recommend grabbing a fresh loaf of bread, a selection of cheese, relish and wine and heading home to gobble it all up immediately. You could also order a tasting plate to enjoy in the café, as well as other delicious goodies.
Loved coming across Yarra Valley Dairy! Awesome shop, naturally loved the fresh cheeses. Seating area wonderful but not extensive. Had to wait for a table to free up. Ordered tea and the farmhouse cheese platter. The plate of biscuits and bread delivered was huge. Impressive.
What a great little farmgate this was!! We loved the cheese tasting (5 varieties were on offer when we went) which we loved and just had to buy a plate to share! For $32 you can get a platter of 4 cheeses, relish and a bread and cracker plate. We shared between 4 and had some delicious coffees as well! We enjoyed our little shop around their store too!
What's not to like about cheese? If you're around the area, you must drop by Yarra Valley Dairy, not just for the yummy cheeses, but also for the beautiful rustic surroundings.
The service was fantastic, and you get to sample the cheeses before deciding what to get. Or you could just go for the cheese platter which comes with 4 different cheeses, and delicious breads to act as a vessel for your cheese.
I believe in Cheesus Christ and if you do too, Yarra Valley Dairy is the place to be.
AMAZING IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!!
I have been coming to the Yarra Valley Dairy for years now.
My absolute favourite thing to order is the cheese platter, which is always rotating their speciality cheeses.
Come and try it for yourself you will not be disappointed!!!
I went to Yarra Valley for a weekend away and this place was my favourite. The cheese selection was so good! For the cheese lovers 🧀 its a must. They have a cheese and wine tasting and you won't leave empty handed.
Very cute rustic little spot with a view! We scored a good spot right at the window. Try get there earlier in the day so you can get a table for just your party, if not you can always squeeze on to another parties table, they encourage sharing. We got the cheese plate of the day, it included 4 cheeses, bread (we got extra), crackers, and caramelised onions for $32. We also ordered some mixed olives, trout (the pepper one was amazing), and some prosciutto (also delicious, I’m a prosciutto fiend). The wine was very reasonable priced at $9 a glass for a Pinot noir. All up it cost us $88 which seemed a bit, but when you taste the cheeses, prosciutto, and trout, and see the love that goes into the cheese (you can see some being made from the cafe) then you understand the price! You could certainly do it cheaper, minus the wine, but I can never say no to wine! It was a very cute spot! It’s well signed at the entrance, you do have to travel down a gravel road to get there. It also had a very cute little gift shop so you could pick up some oils or other homewares!
Food:3.5, Ambience: 0.5, Love their cheese, and there is a cheese sampling and wine tasting corner. If you have some great companies and want to chilex, this is a perfect place. However, if u have kids who loves to run, then this is not for you. This is a really small place for large groups, and if you wonder if they show u the process of making cheese...no, they don't and no ice cream around. Compared to the Yarra Vally Chocolatier , this is only 1/5 of the indoor area. Nevertheless, if you have some time to spare and loves cheese, do come and enjoy.
For the cheese fans and aficionados out there, the feels that come about from a visit to Yering's Yarra Valley Dairy would be akin to how a kid feels when they visit a candy store. Give me cheese over candy any day.
Nice little rustic cheese farm. The place to go to indulge in cheese and wine if you're around the area! Coffee is below average but no one really comes here for the coffee anyway.
Went here during the week around lunchtime. Not busy, seated quickly, friendly service. We had a toasty, and cheese tasting which consisted of 6 different cheeses. Picked up a couple cheeses to have at home.
Absolutely packed so we ended up taking away a picnic bag that was packed with goodies. While not cheap at $65 it was a good sample of what they had to offer and if you enjoy your cheese and crackers..you gotta do what you gotta do.
The Marinated Firey is an awesome spicy cows cheese too.
Love this place.
Excellent customer service.
We ordered the cheese platter to share, great variety of cheese to sample and breads. I like how they explain each cheese.
Love the rustic feel of the place.
2nd time here and they never disappoint, l will go back again for sure.
Great place for a cup of tea and coffee, and an amazing place to chill out. They have large selections of cheese as well. They still took us in 5 min prior to kitchen closing, patiently explaining the cheese we ordered and asking if we wanted more breads.
Visited about a month ago and it was the best place I visited while in the area. The cheese platter for two was one of the best I’ve ever had. I’m not a fan of goats cheese but even I loved it. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful views from the eating area make for an enjoyable experience. There is plenty of local product also to take home too.
We came here and had the tasting plate with a few additional items. The cheeses were delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. The coffee was good too. If you are hungry then it's definitely worth getting some of the add-ons, especially some bread. But don't worry, the additional items won't break the bank. Overall a lovely experience with fantastic views.
Awesome cheese
Our assistant for the cheese tasting was excellent & knew the product well. Many varieties of cow & goat cheese.
Coffee was great.
