Such a stunning space! Food was great and the oyster were super fresh (coming from someone who doesn’t usually/ever eat oysters). If you don’t dine at the restaurant, you should order a cheese/meat platter and enjoy the outdoor area.
Beautiful restaurant with breath taking views outside. Food is lovely and the management is well prepared for larger groups. I came here for a 25th birthday celebration, now I want my 25th here too! I guess it would be perfect if there is a private outdoor area where a group of us can dine and enjoy the sun while drinking wine😍

Came in just before 11:45 on a Sunday and were seated right away. Loveeed all the dishes we ordered. Ordered Tasmanian oysters, beef tartare, baramundi and lamb.
My favourites would have to be the barramundi and the beef tartar. The fish was cooked perfectly and the beef tartar is very refreshing in taste with all the herbs.
The champagne tasting did not disappoint. Love Chandon sparkles!
Loved the sleek and fancy design when you walked into the restaurant. There is a tasting corner where you get to taste their ranges.
We ordered to share and had the wine tasting range and really enjoyed it.The oysters were very fresh and the pork cutlet was cooked well.
The zuchini flowers really stand out, the flavours were really good.
Tried their dessert platter and it was a nice sweet ending to the meal.

What a beautiful wine estate. I don’t know about you but I LOVE a good glass of bubbly. The bubbly tasting at Chandon is a lovelyway to try a few tasters and then pick you fave to enjoy in the lush gardens while taking in the spectacular views. We haven’t eaten here yet but will be back soon.
The greenery at Domaine Chandon is a visual delight. They have recently gone through a renovation. It's quite a popular destination so it does get busy very quickly. That said, it is one of the essential spots when you are in the area. I've done the tour and I enjoyed myself. There's a lot of history in this place.

The decor was very minimalistic and matching with the vineyard. Came on a busy Sunday yet the staff were super friendly. It is a great place to taste the wine and champange. The cheese platter is so good with the wine. Love how they have pairing wine options with every dish. Had a relaxing time here.

Food: Love the duck, beautifully confit. We shared selection of dessert- rice pudding, it is what it is, and done nicely. Chocolate tart - fantastic, good balance between the sweet and bitter.
Ambience: Panoramic view of rolling hills and acres of vineyard- what not to like.

Visited this beautiful vineyard today, definitely exceeded expectations as it was our first visit and didn’t know what to expect.
We did the splash tasting which was 6 different wines that varied from white, Rose to red sparking.
We purchased a bottle of the vintage Blanc de bond and received a $6 refund due to doing the tasting. Joe, who ran the tasting presentation was very informative, he even provided assistance on finding other wineries to visit and a map of the Yarra valley.
Food, was on the pricier side, however this is fine dining food. They have the option for nibbles like a cheese and charcuterie board etc for you to enjoy on their patio which highlights the amazing view of their vines.
Definitely recommend a visit.

Absolutely stunning venue and nicely designated between restaurant, bar and cellar. Food is high quality but not too original, bar the dessert which was a major highlight. Of course, highly recommend going with the recommended wine pairings for whatever you order.
We got a plethora of different styles to get the most out of it and our favourite was the salmon and duck entrees.

I personally hold really high expectation for Chandon. I have been there once last year before the new restaurant renovation. We could only get simple refreshment and wine in their original little white property, but the good service impressed me lots. That’s why I came back this time to experience the new restaurant.
I prefer to give 3.5 ⭐ rather then 4 ⭐️if I could. For the starter, I planned to order the bread with the butter, but I changed the mind because the waitress mentioned the Tas oysters. We ordered half dozen without hesitation and said ‘we were just back from the Tas trip and the oysters there impressed us very much.’ Then the waitress replied ‘ Oh, if you want really good oysters, you should go Tas to have’ Maybe that’s a hint from her to remind us the oysters wouldn’t be as good as our thinking? As what everyone can see my posted pic of the oysters, the meat is not fill the shell and obviously the shells are not ‘deep cup’ which means less meat. The oysters tasted far from Tas ones. They should be creamy, and super smooth, but unfortunately, I couldn’t get the certain features from these oysters. The outstanding part of the oysters is the dipping sauce. The red shallot vinegar gave my mouth the freshness.
We ordered the duck with leek and apple radish salad, and veal with beans & potato. I have to say that the duck was a little bit overcooked. When cutting the duck, it was bit hard. Can’t see nice and pink colour but can see the duck meat turning bit grey colour. The sauce for the duck is not enough. Warm leek is pretty ok, nice and juicy, and the apple with radish salad perfectly matching the duck meat. Also the veal was bit overcooked as well, and the bean was just plain flavour without being well seasoned, as well as the potato, it was the first time we need to add extra salt on a winery dish.
The side we ordered pommes frites. The amount was large, enough for two to share and the aioli sauce was yum but not enough, so we needed to ask the waitress to bring the second one.
For the dessert, it’s really hard for us to make the decision. That’s why we got the mignardises which actually contains all the desserts on the menu but mini size. At very first stage, I personally refused to taste liquorice one. Just hate the liquorice flavour thing. But after trying, I would say that’s the dessert I would like to order if I am back to this place again. It was not very sweet style dessert without the strong liquorice flavour but just spot on when mixing with the passion fruit. Comparing with this dessert, the other two were pretty ordinary style, but I still appreciate the fresh raspberries in lemon verbena and the strawberry vacherin.
The service is nice and the waitress did give us a lot of advice when picking the wine and provided very good experience of tasting, which was much better than getting stuck in the cellar door.
Overall, Chandon as a winery can produce good quality, well known bottles, but for the dinning part, I really couldn’t enjoy the meal. Hopefully they could improve this.

Our group of 6 came to Chandon on a beautiful 30 degree Sunday. Upon arrival the views of the vineyard and mountains were just spectacular. We were seated and went straight to ordering because after going to 3 wineries before this one and no food prior, we were starving.
For entree we all shared:
Oysters - amazingly creamy and fresh, I’m not usually a fan of oysters but these were delicious especially with the vinaigrette
Beef tartare - cannot flaw this dish it was very enjoyable
Sautéed calamari - a little bit of a let down, the flavours were a little strange and we didn’t really enjoy it
For mains:
I myself got the duck and it was pretty nice but lacked a bit of seasoning
4 people in my group got the veal cutlet and loved it and after trying it myself, agreed that it was delicious
My friend who ordered the swordfish requested that it be cooked a little on the well done side and she very much enjoyed it with the beautifully fresh salad it came with.
Lastly we finished off with the dessert by ordering the cheese plate and the strawberry vacherin. We all really enjoyed the semi Freddo and were disappointed we could only get a bite each and the cheese platter was a nice way to finish the meal and was presented beautifully.
Overall the service was very attentive, the views out the large windows were gorgeous and we had a wonderful time and would definitely be back again.
Very nice view on a the balcony. Visited on a beautiful day and the sun on your back was just amazing! The Chandon S was so amazing that I had a second one and bought a bottle! The rose I tried was quite average. You need to order at the counter but staff were all super friendly and service was pretty quick. The only complain is there were way too many tourist...
Great views and spacious so you don’t feel too cramp like other vineyards. We had the cheese platter which was really good and the standard tasting paddle from the bar not the cellar so it was a little bit more expensive but we wanted to sit down and enjoy the views.
We came to domaine chandon for our 6 year wedding anniversary. We enjoyed a beautiful wine accompanied by there yummy cheese plate. Views are absolutely beautiful and staff are very lovely.
We had a great first visit here. The service was prompt and the staff were friendly. The food was delicious and they catered for food intolerances.

Looking to cap off a lovely weekend in the Yarra, we decided to book a dining experience at the restaurant here. We arrived at 12pm for the lunchtime booking and the greeter was happy to accommodate our request to have a window view (albeit that we had a 90 min seat time). The view was definitely worth the time restriction and given it's lunch, we didn't fancy sitting for more than that.
Our waitress was extremely polite, friendly and was happy to provide useful suggestions to help us along the way. We ended up starting with a sparkling and chose to order the Confit Duck Leg. We decided to team it up with the pomme frittes, cause who doesn't love fries. The duck was good, like really good. Not so sold on the truffle polenta or wild mushroom civet, but the duck itself was great. The flavours worked really well, though if you're a fan of duck (in general), recommend might be worth trying the dish at Petit Tracteur Bistro.
We finished with a dessert recommendation of the 'Mignardises', which is essentially miniature versions of the 3 main desserts that they have. Good option for sharing, and they all seem nice (in their smaller portions).
Can't really fault the dining experience, with the food being good and the service being solid. As such, giving it a 4 out of 5. You might find better service or better meal, but it doesn't mean that you won't enjoy this one!

A couple of months ago I spent the afternoon at Domaine Chandon- arguably one of the nicest wineries in the Yarra Valley! Perfect for some sightseeing for an international guest. It's not hard to see why when you look at the view!. We enjoyed a glass of sparkling (Chandon is one of my faves, after all!) and the cheese board. As you'd expect, it's not super generous for the price- so one to save for special occasions!
Amazing views from the newly fitted out restaurant. Lovely fine dining lunch and excellent wines of course. Attentive, knowledgeable and charming staff. Well worth the trip.
Friendly staff, perfect views, delicious food, what more can you ask for. they have a $12, 6 wine tasting which lets you taste test before buying, however, all six were very nice anyway. I did like the sparkling pinot shiraz the best. Child friendly, but be sure to mention high chair required when you book.

Came here for our day trip to the Yarra Valley, we explored the Moet and Chandon winery before eating lunch at this restaurant. We ordered the chicken and mushroom pizza and the pork belly dishes, which were tasty and filling and the place had a great view.
Been there for the frist time and had a great experience. Definitely will come back again .i ordered the sharing plate and this was the best liver patê I've ever had in the past 10years.!!! Fantastic view,great foods & well trained staffs. Highly recommended.

I went here for lunch for my friend's birthday today. It's in a beautiful location with views of the hills and it was gorgeous driving down the driveway with the leaves changing red. We took some photos outside and when it was time to order I ordered the poached trout salad with autumn vegetables, one friend ordered the orecchiette with pumpkin and my other friends ordered duck median rare. We also ordered potato chips with aioli. I was happy to see that my trout salad had a lot of trout but unfortunately it was bland, it needed some sort of sauce or dressing. I did feel healthy eating it though. I tried my friend's duck and I had serious food envy. My friend didn't want to eat her confit onion and another friend didn't want to eat her silverbeet that came with her duck, I added them to my salad which gave it much needed flavour. The chips we ordered looked more like wedges and they were delicious. We had nice sparkling wine and we tried my friend's sparkling wine with orange bitters, we liked it so much we bought ourselves a bottle. The staff here were ok, they weren't rude but they weren't friendly either. I'd come back here again but I'd think twice before ordering a salad.

We visited here for my mums birthday on a Sunday. So glad we booked a table! It was packed. Waitress was good, one of them was very rude and abrupt but could not fault the others. Food was good, highly recommend the lamb rump! Cooked and seasoned perfectly.. the charcuterie board was delicious and fresh, a good way to start the meal! The desserts! Wow order the burnt orange creme caramel and the lemon meringue 😍 all in all, a great experience!

The restaurant was apparently under staffed during the time we visited. But most importantly, they were still very helpful, friendly, and welcoming.
For a limited run kicking off from April 5th, guests visiting The Emerson Rooftop will be treated to a delicious taste of Yarra Valley’s Domaine Chandon without the need to travel the distance. Adorned with hanging vines and much greenery, the transformed rooftop sets the scene for a memorable dining experience underneath the stars.
It's a beautiful place. Lovely atmosphere and vibe. It's advisable to make a reservation to avoid wise or long waiting periods. Having said that, while you wait you could do a quick tour around the place that has views that won't disappoint or do a wine tasting.
We were there on a super busy day, the food came out really quickly and we couldn't wait to dig in. It was delicious. So fresh and mouth watering. The cheese platter was to die for. Would definitely go back.
The main selling point of this restaurant is the view and the natural light. The burrata and heirloom tomato salad is nicely refreshing. The charcuterie board is a great spread in terms of variety, though you're bound to run out of bread before the end.
The only downside to the dining experience was I once tried to get the attention of a waiter, who locked eyes with me, raised his left eyebrow, then turned away. "No matter" , I thought, "maybe there is something from the kitchen he really needed to run. I'm sure he will come back. " He didn't. But that's okay, I'm sure a lot of diners casually wave at him just to say hi. After all, he had fantastic hair.
Another good thing is, if you had a bottle of wine while dining at the brasserie, you get to taste their wines free of charge. Yay!
Been here twice now with my family and both times the meals I had were well remembered. I particularly remember the zucchini risotto with fried noodle wrapped prawns. I have literally never had better prawns before, and I felt like I needed to say it! The portions are on the smaller side and they're a bit pricey, but that's something I'd expect for a higher end winery/restaurant in the Yarra Valley region.

the view was great but you have to really walk outside to enjoy it, as from inside the restaurant, it was dull.
the restaurant itself was super noisy, you can hardly talk without repeating your words, and the service was below average.
I can't comment on the food however this is the perfect place to come for the most relaxing glass of champagne with a fantastic view. Fantastic service too.

Great place for a relaxing afternoon of champagne (sparkling wine as they call it here) tasting and oysters. One of the best sparkling wine maker in Australia! Definitely recommend the snacks and oysters, but I think there are other restaurants serving better main courses in the region.

The magnificent view itself deserves a good review. Wines are decently priced and good. Was hungry so I had a soft shell crab slider while my friends did a self guided tour. The view while having my slider was amazing although the sun did not shine. The burger itself was average and lack some proper flavouring and I for one do not fancy pickles in a soft shell crab slider. A simple slaw would have did the crab much more justice.
The surrounding of this place is absolutely marvelous. Enjoyed with the view while sipping a glass of wine. Plus wines are priced moderately although its pinot noir tastes amazing. Absolutely the place for everybody who loves to drink wines.

We are members at Chandon the nicest winery in the Yarra Valley. The views are spectacular on a sunny afternoon sipping on some Cuvée Rich (our favourite) along with the delicious charcuterie and cheese boards along with the yummy pasta and meat mains. A definite stopover when checking out the wineries in Yarra Valley.
Beautiful winery with amazing views. Their menu, though limited, was delicious and carefully prepared. Staff were attentive and pleasant even though we went during a busy period and they seemed to be short staffed. The charcuterie board is a favourite and I order it each time i visit. Keep in mind as well that their sides are HUGE (we couldnt finish the massive bowl of chips).
Always a great experience and lovely staff. Excellent food and superb wine. Only negative, kids menu chips are adult size wedges! Always book so you won't be disappointed. Great place.
Just take a look.. How beautiful is this vineyard? They say its best to visit wineries during the autumn season. I might have to agree with that. Domaine Chandon produces the ever so famous, Mo ë t Chandon champagnes. They have their own cellar door, restaurant, and huge fields to grow out grapes. There's plenty of champagnes selection to choose from. Wine tasting is open to the public and it costs only 5AUD to try taste as much wine as you possibly could. That five dollar fee would be waived if you purchase any bottle. Of course, for safety reasons, make your buddy who doesn't drink to drive back to the city. In this case, I am the victim. Domaine Chandon's beautiful backdrop. We even saw kangaroos roaming around from afar. They are indeed the cutest! We had a lovely meal here, but know what you are getting. This is a bistro... Lots of kids wandering in and out to/from the outdoors, doors open so a few flies, noisy and casual. But at restaurant prices. Good food... not great; fabulous service. Had to re-locate to an alternative winery for dessert as green point does not do coffee (not profitable enough??? Says a bit about the management). Despite this probably the best views in Victoria.
Wow. The food and service was the best I have experienced at a winery for many years. The fritatta was the BEST fritatta I have ever eaten (it melted in my mouth, with lovely roasted pumpkin and ricotta), and the 'chips' (lovely salted roasted wedges) were divine. The view of the lawn, vines, rolling hills and mountain was amazing. The service was friendly, delightful and professional. On a sunny Sunday winter's afternoon, bookings are needed - but it is well worth it.

Surprisingly good food. Booked this restaurant en route to the Yarra Valley. After coming up short with three other wineries, Domaine Chandon came good with our request to book a table for three people. I was a bit nervous that it may be a dud given the bad reviews on Urbanspoon. But i have to say the food was as good as some fine dining restaurants I've been to. We started with atasting board to share between us. It had smoked salmon, smoked chicken, prosciutto, olives, tomato dip, beetroot relish, kabana, fetta cheese and lavosh. Large platter of food to start with. For mains, two of us had steak and I had the pork cutlet, celery and apple salad and mashed celeriac (I think). Both the mains were very good. The steak was tender and flavoursome. The pork was tender and tasty. Only quibble I had was the salad only had one piece of apple. Onto dessert, two of us had the cinnamon brulee and one lemon meringue. The former was the best version of creme brulee I've had, it had the brittle crust and soft creamy interior. The lemon meringue was well-balanced between sweet and tart. The meal (less entertainment card discount of $35) was around $230 (including three wine tastings). The service was very good and friendly despite the bistro being fully booked. Overall, not the cheapest but I felt the food and service was as good as some fine dining places I've been to in Melbourne, New York and Europe. Makes me wonder how good those other places we tried to book are if Domaine Chandon is considered mediocre by the Urbanspoon crowd.

We were hesitant about going due to the bad reviews on urbanspoon.. Well they've either stepped up the service or those complaining are likely never happy. We shared a bottle of Cuvée Riche and a cheese platter, a perfect valentines lunch. Beautiful view and the staff were knowledgable and attentive.
Beautiful setting, lovely food.. Service was exceptionally friendly and most accommodating to our requests. Like the comments posted by another blogger, we stayed for well over 2 hours as the outdoor setting was absolutely beautiful, yet not once were we made to feel we had overstayed our welcome.
The harpuka fish was delicious and reasonably priced for a winery.

What could you not like about the location and view. We obviously had the A team service. The sharing platter was lovely. The negative reviews show you can't please everyone all the time.
Enjoyable. Surprising and contrary to most of the negative reviews, I had a great experience at the Green Point on a nice, sunny Monday morning. Staffs were a little less attentive to start with, but the service did pick up. Loved the Antipasto Platter and Vanilla Panna Cotta. With the breathtaking view, it's the right place to be to enjoy a glass or two of Chandon Sparkling. Or try the wine platters, that allows you to enjoy up to 4 different wines at a go.
The staff were fantastic and showed us to our table by the window. Outstanding view with a casual cafe atmosphere. The service was attentive and the food was fresh, we had the seafood platter, the antipasto platter and the swimmer prawns. With a glass of Blanc de Blanc it was a relaxing way to while away a few hours. Thank you to Miss H who is an outstanding host.
I was definitely expecting more, not much of an atmosphere however the view was lovely and the staff were great. We were stranded in the cold with a long wait for a taxi, one staff member was kind enough to drive us to healesville which was out of her way.

Enjoyable lunch.. We visited Chandon for lunch as included in a winery tour and were not disappointed.
We started with an antipasto platter, followed by a choice of three mains. My partner and I both chose the slow cooked lamb with horseradish and were not disappointed. The lamb was delicious, soft and fell apart.
We also had no issues with the service, even though the restaurant was really busy and as part of a winery tour we probably weren't the top priority.
Gorgeous views!. The food was also excellent. You can order food off the menu, or make your own food platter from the seafood, charcuterie and cheese bars.
Once you've made your choice, you have to head to the counter to place an order and are given a table number. I would have preferred to have my order taken by a waiter. That would have improved the dining experience. But overall, it was good.
By purchasing a ready made picnic basket, you can enjoy the fresh produce in the lovely, manicured grounds of Domaine Chandon. There is an array of goodies to get any foodie excited - pâté, Serrano Jamon, mixed olives, gravalax, cheese, crackers, a baguette, relish, salads and ice cream. Enjoy with some Chandon sparkling. The below hamper was kindly gifted by the people at Domaine Chandon & Undertow Media.
Gourmet picnic boxes are $150 for two people, excluding wine.
We found the service friendly, attentive and efficient. The bill with several glasses of wine came to $240 which didn't seem over the top given the quality of the food and wine. The afternoon we visited there were a reasonable number of flies around, and as guests were regularly using the sliding restaurant doors to wander in and out of the beautiful garden, plenty had made it inside, and certainly knew when our mains arrived. There isn't much that could be done, but it did leave a distinct entry in the memory bank. Domaine is certainly worth a visit if you are in the Yarra Valley for the combination of the food, wine and vistas.

Very pleasant place, staff, wine, food and clean facilities. That was March 2022.
Went to Chandon again in May 2022. The consistency of service, friendly attitude and terrific food is remarkable. The Autumn colours of the vines bring a somewhat Chery atmosphere to the scenery on a rather dull but mild day. Peps you up really as do the Autumn leaves on the trees. Had some Oysters this time before a generous Charcuterie board. You don't have to go to the Peninsula to get fresh Oysters, they were as fresh as can be. Ah, Chandon tasting board, Oysters, Chandon wines, serene outlook.

Service was impeccable, we were late and missed our tasting appointment but the hostess kindly accommodated us in the lounge. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
If you like bubbles, you will love this place.

Was here on 5 Jun 2022, lunch hours. Duck cooked to perfection. Nice sparkling red wine. Would have been a perfect score it the Lamb wasn't overcooked.
Great sparkling sampling tour and had 3 course menu, really enjoyed it with the awesome view’s
