We love Rochford estate. Their restaurant is beautiful, food is delicious and staff are very friendly. We’ve had one of the funniest wine tastings here… if you haven’t done their wine tatsings, you should! They also have a lovely gift store to browse before or after indulging in all the good wine and food.
We made a VERY last minute booking on Wednesday night for lunch the next day. The booking was put through and confirmed promptly. Driving into Rochford was lovely and easy to navigate. We lucked out with the weather but it would be just as nice on a typical Melbourne 4 seasons day. The staff were welcoming, informative, friendly, and genuine. They gave us a lovely spot right at the window with a fantastic view. We had the antipasto for two to start, which had the perfect amount of food, not too filling that you couldn’t finish your main, but not too minimal that you felt robbed! My partner ordered the wagyu, which he inhaled and is still raving about. I had the lamb, it was cooked perfectly, delicious, and a generous serving size. The staff made recommendations and timed our food to come out when it suited our stomachs! We didn’t feel rushed and were able to sit and enjoy ourselves. Highly recommend Isabella’s at Rochford for a mix of a casual, but still classy meal.
I visited this winery for lunch followed by a wine tasting. The restaurant section has seating inside and outside with lovely views of the hills and fields. For entrees, we had the truffle and mozzarella croquette and the smoked ox tongue both of which were alright. The beef was recommended by the wait staff and this was indeed very nice. It was super moist and delicious and I too would recommend this dish.
