We love Rochford estate. Their restaurant is beautiful, food is delicious and staff are very friendly. We’ve had one of the funniest wine tastings here… if you haven’t done their wine tatsings, you should! They also have a lovely gift store to browse before or after indulging in all the good wine and food.
We made a VERY last minute booking on Wednesday night for lunch the next day. The booking was put through and confirmed promptly. Driving into Rochford was lovely and easy to navigate. We lucked out with the weather but it would be just as nice on a typical Melbourne 4 seasons day. The staff were welcoming, informative, friendly, and genuine. They gave us a lovely spot right at the window with a fantastic view. We had the antipasto for two to start, which had the perfect amount of food, not too filling that you couldn’t finish your main, but not too minimal that you felt robbed! My partner ordered the wagyu, which he inhaled and is still raving about. I had the lamb, it was cooked perfectly, delicious, and a generous serving size. The staff made recommendations and timed our food to come out when it suited our stomachs! We didn’t feel rushed and were able to sit and enjoy ourselves. Highly recommend Isabella’s at Rochford for a mix of a casual, but still classy meal.
I visited this winery for lunch followed by a wine tasting. The restaurant section has seating inside and outside with lovely views of the hills and fields. For entrees, we had the truffle and mozzarella croquette and the smoked ox tongue both of which were alright. The beef was recommended by the wait staff and this was indeed very nice. It was super moist and delicious and I too would recommend this dish.
Went for lunch on a Friday and had the most wonderful time. The winery is certainly boutique and the staff behind their tasting bar/cellar door knew all about their products. There’s a good selection of wines available, and they aren’t too expensive. The lunch menu offers a generous amount of choices; starters, medium, large, enormous and sweets. There’s rolling hill view to accompany your meal so try get a table near the window if you can!
First time here and loved it. It was a chilly day and we had a nice fire burning to give a cosy feeling. Also nice views over the vines. The staff were personable and really helpful. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. We had the croquettes and the terrine for entree and I still cannot decide which was better as they were both delicious. Do not miss the crumble - it was not too sweet and perfect to share if you have indulged on the other courses.
Love this winery, big place, food and wine is good price and customer service is really good. Definitely will come back here again when I go to Yarra Valley. 😀
Just had the most outstanding meal by pure accident at Rochford Wines. Driving past and starving with the kids having been unable to find anywhere to eat in Healesville we managed to get a table. The service here is so friendly, attentive and genuine particularly with young kids even on a stupidly busy Saturday afternoon. They made an effort to get the kids food out quickly and my lamb Osso Bucco was the most amazing dish I’ve had in a long time. Hubby had the duck pastrami tart which he loved. Would absolutely return here without a second thought and highly recommend!! Thanks for looking after us today :)
Visited Rochford Winery with Yarra Valley Wine Tasting Tours for a private wine tasting session and lunch. Ordered the 16 hour oyster blade of beef with macadamia purée, winter mushrooms, pearled barley & watercress. The meal was absolutely incredible, and of course, the wines were delicious too!
Rochford is a large winery in the Yarra Valley that takes great pride in the wines they make. The service is passionate and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting, which within seconds it was clear that they love what they do! We had a cheeseboard at the outdoor decking which was gorgeous on a beautiful day! We can’t wait to go back to try more of their food and of course, to drink more wine!
This place serves great quality food that doesn't fail to complement their wines. Each dish is well presented and is cooked to near-perfection, but lacks a certain wow-factor. The coffee is a little inconsistent. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and the place has a really great sophisticated yet relaxing vibe to it, as customers dine and drink while surrounded by a beautiful vineyard and landscape.
We had family visiting from America so thought we would take them to Rochford winery.
We sampled 5 wines for $5, so about 2 mouthfuls per wine. I love sweet wine and loved the procecco very sweet, bubbly and had a clean finish.
Afterwards, we climbed the stairs to the roof too to admire the view, walked around the estate and ordered takeaway coffees as it was a big touristy day.
We attended Rochford for a special occasion and shared a medium (entree) and had a main meal each. We felt that this was perfect portion sizes for lunch and that the food was beautiful.
The guy who took our tasting (kish I think) was really great! But we got a lot less to taste compared to other wineries.. I ordered the spinach pastry parcels which were really yum but tiny so it was a bit disappointing, especially as it was listed under 'medium' sized meals 😕
I think the food is just really overpriced.
Quality food. Incredible views.
It was a great experience. The ambiance and service was lovely. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. 4-5 tasting areas and a great restaurant. Yarra Valley at its finest!
Food was good, good combination of mains with sides complimenting it. Recommended wine is refreshing and best of all the courtesy, manners and service of the place is amazing...top class 4.7/5
We had lunch here on a Saturday for a friend's birthday, the weather was gloomy but the food amazed us. We booked for some wine tasting before lunch, which was a great idea to do while we chat away waiting for our table to be set up.
We had to order vegetarian dishes and was surprised they had more choices than we could imagine. The croquettes were the highlight for me and the wild fig and haloumi pastry.
We also ordered the crumbed zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta and for mains a pizza and a barley summer salad.
Service was very good, the waiter that served us was very attentive and prompt.
Very happy with the food and the people. The oyster blade steak is possibly the best I have ever eaten. If I had to critique the waiter was very busy so hard to get his attention for drinks but he was lovely and friendly
Was greeted by friendly welcoming staff and situated next to the beautiful fireplace overlooking the greenery. Service was prompt and food on the minimalistic menu was delicious. I had their rib eye which was juicy and flavorsome. Only let down was the coffee to end the experience.
Gastrology indulged in a special one night only Dans les Bois – ‘In the Woods’ dinner on Saturday. The team of chefs at Rochford Wines had worked closely with Rochford’s winemakers to select the perfect wine companion for each dish on the menu – creating an unforgettable dining experience.
Stopped here for lunch plus to try their wine of course! Such a beautiful location with the beautiful greenery and their wine selection is just marvellous! After our wine tasting session, we were escorted to the dining hall. For my main I ordered the chicken dish. It was crispy and caramelised from the outside. Full of flavour and presentation was beautiful. Served hot and the staff is really friendly and they make sure to fix a glass of wine to accompany or more likely to blend in with the meal.

Went to the winery restaurant with relatives for both lunch and a wine tasting. Lunch (on a Scoopon deal) was excellent value, being $79 for 2 people for a shared charcuterie platter, a main each and glass of wine each. The charcuterie platter was generous with adventurous offerings like a spreadable spicy terrine. I had the very generous serve of 500g of steak, and a glass of the Isabella's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, paying a top up of $2 for the wine. The steak was juicy and tender, and additionally came with pommes aligot (a creamy, cheesy mashed potato), mushrooms and a sauce. To top it off, the wine was excellent and went very well with the steak. My main criticism in respect of the restaurant was that while the restaurant service was very friendly, the kitchen was quite slow. Additionally, the wine tasting we subsequently did was administered in a fairly dismissive fashion unwelcoming for newbies to tasting. Working on these two things would certainly have transformed the experience from good to great.
Rochford Wines is one of my favourite Victorian wineries. This gorgeous venue is nestled amongst the scenic Yarra Valley route and spans across several hectares. It's certainly one of the larger estates, and there is always a stream of visitors.

The huge Rochford Wines complex is pretty hard to miss, with it’s whale-sized cellar door, large terrace, outdoor wine garden and a restaurant that’s busier than Kings Way. Fortunately, you don’t need a Batmobile and an eight-figure bank balance to dine here.
The overall vibe at Rochford Wines is fun, and opening out onto a large grassy paddock, that’s the starting point for ballooning, helicopter and segwey tours of the Yarra Valley, I watched admirably as wine-denied parent after wine-denied parent grabbed a glass of bubbles and sent their kids off to play.
You all prob know Rochford - a day on the greens venue! A great place for dining or function and events in the heart of the Yarra Valley catering.
The venue itself is opposite the ezard something hill winery.. Theres magnificent views with great ambience. The restaurant is located next to the cellar and gift store (with a variety of goodies) - plenty of parking spots and lots of tables! (Especially since we had a random lunch date and everywhere else seem to be fully booked). The ground looks absolutely gorgeous for a wedding ceremony or photos also!!! Maybe ill redo my vows here... Hehe
Service was efficient. We were seated promptly next to the wide windows with lovely views. Everyone from the waiters to the maitre-d were friendly and welcoming.
The menu for food and beverages was extensive from entree to medium dishes to larger dishes. Lil bit pricy but we got an entertainment book so had 25% off the meal. We wanted something like so hubby ordered the beef tartare and i ordered the Duck breast, polenta fries, chestnut puree & rhubarb mostarda from the medium section.. Unfortunately the portion was a lil bit smaller then expected more like an entree size? Especially when they were about $20-22 a dish? The beef tartare was a bit too mustardy and sour but still tasted delicious. The duck was cooked perfectly and the polenta fries were tasty! We also ordered the spreadable salami entree to share. Definitely interesting and tasty but perhaps its missing a bit of caramelised onion or something?
The final dish was the dessert! Simple winter menu - so we ordered the Vanilla bean custard, roasted cumquat, chocolate truffle & caramelised pecan. My least fav dish not to mentioned it took 25min to come out? The vanilla custard was warm when i expected a cold dish.. The truffle was deliciously sweet and the cumquat was a bit too sour. Im not sure whether the whole combo worked for me so might choose something else next time.
It’s rather special to visit the Yarra Valley in autumn, when the region’s rolling hills are filled with a patchwork of changing colours and you can feel the crunch of fallen leaves beneath your feet. It’s harvest time at the moment, and the leaves are changing colour just before your eyes. At only an hour’s drive from Melbourne’s CBD, the Yarra Valley makes a perfect day trip away from the bustle of the city. Or to fully experience the charms of the Valley, why not just book a weekend away?
Set amongst the lush greenery of the Yarra Valley wine region, a visit to Rochford wines ensures a unique experience featuring a wine cellar (offering complementary tasting), produce store and restaurant, all under one roof. At the end of last year, Rochford Wines underwent an extensive renovation, introducing a more laid-back approach to its restaurant, which now accommodates up to 200 people.
This is a good place to go for lunch while winery-hopping through the Yarra valley. Food are generally good, there is option of cafe food or fine dining. I had a smoked duck risotto with wild mushroom once and still remember the taste. It was beyond amazing.

On the Monday before Australia Day, we hopped in the car and drove down to the Yarra Valley. We had a lovely lunch at Rochford Wines in the sunny courtyard.
We love this restaurant. It is the one of the best winery restaurants we have been to. The waitress, Jess was really friendly, helpful and professional. The food was insanely good. The plating was wonderful. What I like the most is that every components of the dishes taste good and in each dish I am always pleasantly surprised by the little things laying on the edge of the plate.
Rochford Wines and I seem to have this thing about meeting on rainy days. Not that I mind, provided it ain’t storming; as the lush floor to ceiling windows just allow the soothing overcast light in, which makes me feel so comfortable and cosy in a sense. . The last time I was Rochford Wines, the restaurant was called Isabella’s. The restaurant has now had a bit of a facelift and to keep things simple, been renamed to ‘Rochford Restaurant’, with a new head chef, Raki Andriana, bringing a new flavour and approach to the menu.
Escaping into the Yarra Valley for indulgent food and wine is a favourite pastime for Melbournians. It’s a place for indulging in life’s pleasures, without driving too far from the CBD. Journeying to Rochford winery, there are plenty of ‘ooohs’ and ‘awwws’ as we drive past newborn calves and lambs. The air is crisper. The pastures are greener. Clouds piercing Mt Dandenong adds to the picturesque setting. But our objective isn’t to sightsee, we’re here for the swirling of wines, the clinking of glasses and a produce-driven menu, sourced locally from the beautiful Yarra Valley.

A fresh and exciting transformation has taken place at Rochford Restaurant with the recent appointment of Head Chef Raki Andriana. With over a decade of experience in the food and wine industry, Raki brings forth French style techniques and Middle Eastern influences to the iconic Yarra Valley winery. The menu’s new direction aims to create delicious flavours that match their award winning wines. Add to that breathtaking views of the Yarra Valley and the nearby Dandenong Ranges, Rochford Restaurant is undoubtedly a wonderful place to visit.
The recent appointment of a new Head Chef, Raki Andriana brings French style techniques and Middle Eastern influences to the iconic Yarra Valley winery which is a perfect match for the venue.
Culminating in a new direction for the winery and Rochford’s menus Raki creates delicious flavours from only the highest quality and locally sourced produce - perfect for Rochford’s fresh approach to food and wine. We commenced our dining experience with a beautifully presented cured kingfish. The citrus cured fish was embellished with chilli. The nettles added a wonderful touch to what was an enlivening combination of ingredients.
I almost never order roast chicken, deeming it to be much too pedestrian, but the Leg of Corn Fed Chicken, Jerusalem Artichoke, Farro & Guanciale ($33) might just be what changes my mind. The chicken was so moist and buttery that it hardly needed the artichoke cream, whilst the bed of toothsome farro mixed with currants and pine nuts not only complemented the chicken, but was a joy unto itself. I had never had guanciale before, but turns out it was probably what made the chicken so decadent and delicious. After all, cured and spiced pork jowl would make boot leather taste good.

The former Isabella’s Restaurant within Rochford Winery has undergone a renovation and a change of name. The kitchen of the new Rochford Restaurant is now helmed by Head Chef Raki Andriana...The nicely-cooked corn-fed chicken and its golden-brown skin was a good match for the chewy farro and Jerusalem artichoke puree, and the crispy, flavour-packed pieces of guanciale injected enjoyable bursts of smokiness. We don’t often order chicken main dishes when we dine out, but this was a pleasantly satisfying dish that I would be happy to have again.

Food is okay I'm not a big fan of wineries but I thought I'd give it a go, portions aren't huge so u have to have three courses, service can be slightly slow

The menu structure itself lends very well to communal plate sharing and nibbling over wine selections. Items are arranged by plate sizes. So one could have a 'large' plate all to oneself as a stand alone course or share a selection of 'small' or 'medium' plates with others. The charcuterie platter was laden with charcuterie of a various sorts - two types of salumi; sopressa; proscuitto; marinated olives; eel croquettes and my personal favourite, the smoked ox tongue. It was sliced paper thin and so absolutely smokey and tender.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch at Rochford Winery on a Saturday afternoon. The beautiful views and excellent food made the longer drive to our destination worthwhile.
I had the pan seared monkfish, served with slow cooked fennel and Blanchard. The star of the dish was the fish itself, which was firm and fresh. Others ordered the corn fed chicken leg, pork belly and salami pizza. I sampled a little of the pork belly dish and it was delicious!
Acav will be back.
We visited Rochford as part of a winery tour. The wines were nice and the gentlemen talking us through them was passionate about wines and very approachable. They have a nice gift shop and the view from the top of the tower is lovely.
Winery is great - the girl who did our tasting was so helpful and lots of fun, with loads of suggestions! Went outside for wine and pizza at the end; the eel croquettes were delicious! Perfect setting for wine and nibbles in the sun
Lovely cafe, restaurant & winery. Staff are always lovely. Went here for a wedding anniversary & enjoyed our meals. Desserts were really good also. Beautiful views of the winery, an outdoor area that the kids can run around & perfect for when it's nice weather. Looking forward to another visit.
The Yarra Valley is one of the favourite destinations for Melburnians in search of a country drive and I always like to combine a day trip there with a delicious long lunch. On my most recent excursion to Coldstream I visited Isabella’s at stunning Rochfords Wines with an invitation to try their new autumn menu by head chef Ciaran Butler.
Very nice meal. Had Sunday lunch here very good food very nice and fresh and tasty the wine was ok
Stunning food. Lovey breakfast amazing French toast and super fresh we had a ballon ride over the Yarra valley and had breakfast after the bacon was stunning lovely and crisp 10 out of 10
Greatest breakfast ever !!. Had breakfast at Rochford on Sunday with friends and family it was fantastic very fresh and tastey , there where 15 of use and everyone very much loved it my dads comments after breakfast was "greatest breakfast ever " we will definitely come back maybe even next week for Mother's Day .
Wonderful business lunch. Had the most wonderful Sunday lunch here at Rochford wines it was my first visit to Rochford and the Yarra valley but it wont be my last stand outs were the waguy Wellington and the pork dishes and the tomato salad , corned beef entrees and the dessert the chocolate browny was mind blowing ten out of ten
Steve and I were very kindly invited to have lunch at Isabella's at Rochford Winery in the Yarra Valley to try their Autumn menu. Who wouldn't love lunch at a winery?
We'd actually been to Rochford before during my mum and sister's first visit back in 2011 and I remember enjoying it then but we'd never had the chance to return so we were looking forward to this.
I was kindly invited to sample Rochford Winery’s Autumn menu, and a since a family winery day has long been in the plans, I decided to go with T and R. Rochford is one of the larger wineries in the Yarra Valley, and having won a number of awards across a multitude of categories. We set out from Melbourne mid-morning and arrived for an early lunch around 12:30pm. Rochford spans across several acres of picturesque landscape and offers a number of features and activities beyond the standard cellar door experience. Think hot air balloons, segway rides, nearby accommodation, a natural amphitheatre and even an observation tower. Of course, there are dining facilities, and the restaurant is called Isabella’s. Isabella’s at Rochford incorporates the current Rochford restaurant, café and alfresco areas into one exciting dining space, and sits just beyond the tasting area and past the retail shopping space.

...enjoyed the Blackmore Wagyu Carpaccio (above), featuring Yarra Valley Blackmore Wagyu carpaccio with black garlic puree, deep fried bone marrow, and green olive powder. This dish was a delight, with high grade marbling evident. This dish stayed with me in terms of its impression; so creamy and wonderfully pared with indulgent bone marrow and tangy puree.
Every now and then a restaurant manages to capture a place in your heart. Rochford Winery is such a place. More than just the high quality of the food and wines on offer, Rochford transports you to another world where all of the stresses of modern, city living evaporate and life is a lot simpler.
The food was of a very good standard and the service was excellent!
Smashing breakfast and lunch. Me my wife and children had the most smashing day at this winery it started with a ballon flight over the Yarra valley followed buy an amazing breakfast so fresh you can even go up to the open kitchen and watch the chefs cook your breakfast very special and tasty as well . After that we were collected and went on a winery tour . We weren't aware but the tour also had lunch here thank god they did the food was smashing the wine was good and the room for the kids to run around first class .if we are ever in Australia again we will be coming back thank you Rockford wines great job.
Very pricey for "cafe" dining and not a lot to choose from, meals are small but is very nice food.
Lovely lunch. We had lunch here on Easter Monday and weren't let down the food was the highlight the crab toast and suckling pork and wagyu were stand outs also the monkfish my wife was most impressed . The desserts were very nice. the serves was a bit slow drinks tuck some time to arrive but it was very busy ! The wine was very good except we did try to have a tasting on our way out but we stood there for some time with no look . Over all very lovely lunch .

Amazing Friday lunch. Had the most amazing lunch here on Friday with my wife on a weekend away the best start to have lovely food and wine
Beef cheeks to die for. Seafood risotto also fabulous. grazing plate 60km from the sea, challenging for first time eel not too bad.
Best food we have had in Australia. I came here yesterday part of a group and was really taken back how good the food service and wine were even the shop was very interesting !! I had the risotto of seafood which was amazing every seafood you can imagine was in there lovely flavour my wife had the beef slow braised which was to die for and my boy had the most amazing flathead dish again out of this world the wine we in joyed was the Isabel's very nice we end taking 2 bottles home all in all we really loved this place and if we ever get back to Australia we will be heading to the Rochford winery
Stunning lunch. A really stunning lunch and wine selection very nice all round food was the big winner we had breakfast first as we were wighting for my son. he was proposing via a helicopter !! everyone loved the breakfast and commented on the value . But the real star of the show was the stunning lunch we all had I will recommend to all my friends and family that code not be there .
The wait staff were all extremely polite and helpful. The views from the restaurant are not as stunning as most wineries (not really many rolling hills and vines etc) but we looked out to the large field of grass. I had the fish and chips and while the chips were average, the Panko crumbs on the fish were surprisingly taste-tastic. There's only a small accompanying salad of cos leaves, so if you want some greens, best order on the side.
Went for lunch with a big group and found despite the busy lunch hour, service was quick & pleasant. Sitting outdoor undercover with the option of wondering out to the grass was lovely. Kids could play freely and even frisbees were provided. We sampled the dips, seafood risotto, fish & chips, beet root gnocchi & beef cheek between us. Some sadly were average. Bread for the dips was overdone toast which was a shame and the risotto lacked flavour. Fish was good as well as the gnocchi. Churros for dessert was lovely but the choc dipping sauce tasted like cheap compound chocolate. Overall though ambience and good service saved the day.
Friendly, but weird. Food was pretty good, service was a combination of friendly or we were ignored (the space is just too large, I guess). Not the prettiest of vineyards, either, because you look out onto the big green amphitheatre thing.
Second time dining and bemused. We came here on the segue package last February and had a great time. Not only on the segue experience but the post activity meal at Isabella's.
Our son Andrew and his partner Katherine are over from the UK and we wanted to give them a day in the Yarra Valley, doing some tastings and a lunch at one oft he wineries. We were seeking out leaving a great impression with Katherine and Andrew so thought we would book at Rochford as opposed to a couple of other wineries in the area.
So why am I bemused? Having read some of the recent appalling reviews I booked with some trepidation. I am bemused at the good fortunate we had compared with our fellow reviews. The meal and service was exemplary and definitely an 8/10.
Either we are easily pleased ( and I assure you we are not!!! Or the most recent reviewers are very hard task masters or just had a bad day of it all.
Well done to Rochford Winery and Isabella's. Just wanted to balance the scorecard for you all for a genuinely wonderful experience had by all
Food was good esp the entree of the pork cheek and scallop. Tha macadamia tart was really yummy as well. Service wasn't the best but forgivable
Beautiful food, great coffee, friendly atmosphere & service. Loved it.
Went as part of a Segway tour & were very well looked after.
Had breakfast with a table for 20 or so. The service was OK. They catered for various intolerances including lactose. The breakfast we had was expensive but not tasty enough to make the trip out there seem with the effort. I like this place but there's better places to get a good breakfast.
Nice breakfast, fresh food, lovely view of the vineyards.
Lovely lunch in the Valley. Food was great but a little overpriced. The entrees were the highlight - the house made fois gras is amazing, as is the black pudding, which is delightfully moist and spicy, "like meat cake" according to my companion! I chose the wallaby with kangaroo pie for a main - good, but not great. Service also leaves a little to be desired... but overall a great lunch spot.
Views & food to remember!. Exceptional & Outstanding on every level .
From the moment you are met at the door at the front desk ~ to the wait staff a Restaurant Manager ~ Sasha ~ the service is 5 star.
Then comes the food - See below:
DUCK AND ORANGE PATE
with house made orange marmalade and brioche toast.
LAMB BACK STRAP
Local lamb back strap pan seared, served with aged cheddar, bacon croquettes and Rochford Pinot Noir jus.
TIRA MI SU
served with biscotti.
Seriously this would be one of the best meals I have eaten within the past year.
Great service , Great food & Great setting & scenery. A++
Australia Wine Tour Company. I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this restaurant whilst on a wine tour through the Yarra Valley.
The service was warm and inviting! The wine was stunning and easy to drink... and the dining was a wonderful experience! We were also served a nice slice of bread and butter which was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside!
I ordered;
Winter Beetroot Risotto
It was delicate, creamy and soo addicting. Bite after bite seemed to just get better and better. Loved the combination of beet and feta.. but together with risotto and spinach made it out of this world. The flavours were subtle and the overall dish was very satisfying.
Fiance ordered;
Escallop of local Pork Loin, which was crumbed and came with a Sicilian Caponata. He REALLY enjoyed his dish and the bite that I had, almost made me wish I had ordered that too!
We also ordered the New York Cheesecake- but it was dry, mealy and lacking in flavour. Dont bother.
They also have a nice section of sweets and treats! Macaroons, Fudge in a display case. With Chutneys, Oils, Salts and lovely Wine items!
The winery was a great experience and wines were delicious. Would definitely come back!
You can read more on my food Blog!!!!
Try their steak. Really generous size and great steak!!
Great venue. I love this venue. Very open, clean and crisp. I thoroughly enjoyed our time eating lunch overlooking the vineyard. The meals are typical modern australian and are very delicious.
Generous size and great flavour. Summary: Generous size, great flavour, reasonably priced, professional services & knowledgeable staff.
Came here for Sunday lunch, originally wanted to go to De Bortoli but picked this one instead because we can select our food (can't select food @ De Bortoli for Sunday lunch). It's either 2 or 3 course menu, and we opted for 3 course menu.
Entres are Duck Shank Risotto and Beef Cheek. Both are deliciously tasty. The beef cheek really melts, and the jus is really sweet. The risotto is also perfectly cooked, still having that bite in the middle of the rice.
Mains are Barramundi and Wagyu Beef. The barramundi is again perfectly cooked, but to me the plate is just too crowded, especially with red and green (like Christmas my wife said). There's beetroot risotto underneath the fish, which is also perfectly cooked. The beetroot is very sweet, which made me think that most of their food seems sweet. The wagyu beef is medium rare just as ordered, very tender and the jus is very nice. Very generous with the jus, unlike most other restaurants which usually don't have much jus on their steak.
Desserts are Chocolate Fondant and Creme Brulee. We're expecting sweet creme brulee because both entre and main predominantly are sweet. But the creme brulee surprisingly is well balanced, not too sweet. The chocolate fondant is also beautifully done, with the chocolate inside still gooey and melting.
We also asked a few questions to the staff, and they are all knowledgeable and more than happy to explain to us. Very professional service indeed. You hardly find a restaurant with both quality and quantity in their food. Oh and great view as well, which is a bonus.
This restaurant comes highly recommended from us!
Wow, this place a must!. Sunday lunch at rochford.... wow did it make me feel happy leaving with my wife and leaving this venue... the food is good and service was excellent in the restaurant. would recommened it too any one

Hot air ballooning is seriously good fun. It's so peaceful, majestic, refreshing and relaxing. It's definitely not cheap, but worth doing at least once. We booked our trip via Red Balloon , with the package including the balloon ride and a champagne breakfast. Every aspect of the adventure was excellent, from setting up the balloon, to flying, to landing, to packing the balloon up, to hearing the history of ballooning, and finally the totally indulgent breakfast served with a never ending glass of champagne. I highly recommend this experience. The balloon leaves from Rochford Winery, so after you're finished, you can sample some more wines there and then visit the rest of the Yarra Valley. I shall now let the photos tell the story. It was an utterly amazing day and although it was expensive, I shall treasure those sensations and memories for a long long time. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments sections and I'll respond to them. Rochford Winery Breakfast Domaine Chandon Wine
I had the 12 hour braised pork belly, the pork was incredibly tender and the jus it was served with was beautiful and full of flavor. Sadly the skin though
The bed of mash potatoes were so incredibly soft and fluffy and I couldn’t get enough of those peas. The lamb and beef were both incredibly tender and juicy, and I had the privilege to try both as my friend and I decided to split the mains. Every mouthful
