Fish and chips were freshly cooked, really tasty and very filling. Would go back here again for the food, and the ice-cream looked delicious, but... if the website says the Fisherman's Basket is $28.90, why are they charging $35 (that's a significant price hike by any standard) and if the website says they are open until 7pm, why are they desperate to shut the doors at 6.30pm, even though people are still arriving to place orders? Also, a bit of flexibility in the menu wouldn't hurt. If you have sweet potato fries on the menu, and I'm willing to pay extra to swap fries for sweet potato fries, it would be a good customer experience to allow that. Shame that these small things impacted what could have been a great experience.
THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS I HAVE EVER HAD! This place is producing world class food from a small country town with the friendliest of staff! If you are in Freciynet National Park then this is a must stop for fish and chips followed by amazing icecream!
A great way to celebrate the completion of a hike in Freycinet National Park, is with some local seafood in a fisherman's basket, washed down with a cold drink and topped off with a delicious ice cream. All with amazing views of The Hazards.
