Without out a doubt the best pie shop in Sydney and the best pies i have ever come across! The Chicken Satay pie is personally my favourite.

Sadly I now live in Brisbane but have never forgotten how awesome your pies are, my favourite is the Chicken, Asparagus & Brie.
Brisbane has Beefy's Pies but they taste just like a very average pie unlike your pies which you can tell are all homemade.

The pies are so good here - the pastry is crispy and flakey, not too thick. The filling to pastry ratio is perfect. I loved the steak, onion and cheese pie.

Totally worth the Hype! Tried the Chicken Avocado Brie and Butter chicken Pie along with Vanilla slice. Everything was awesome! Must visit for anyone who loves pies! They have amazing variety and even the vegetarians won't feel left out! Simple place with not much seating but everyone was grabbing their pies to go! Seemed extremely popular with the locals as well. Will definitely come back for more!
One of the best pie places in Sydney is Upper Crust. Two of my favourite pies to get there is their steak, potato & cheese pie and the chicken & mushroom pie. My boyfriend also likes the pepper steak pie.
While their pies are really good, I’m not a huge fan of their baked goods. The cupcake pictured here and their pineapple tart was just mediocre. Their apple turnover was okay though.
Pies from here rate highly and for good reason based on the mince meat one I had. Spicy season in a hugely generous portion of mince contained in the best pantry case I can remember having. Base and sides were very thin yet firm and held form regardless of how much of the pie devoured. Slightly thicker lid knew its place also.
Custard Tart was always had and was disappointing in comparison with very thick pastry and limited by none the less tasty filling.
Love this place to be closer for the pies but this will be a rare thing as I am rarely on the outer rim.
Pies here are great. Lots of options. I've tried most of the beef and lamb ones. All really delicious. Love the pastry. Holds everything nicely.

The bird is the word with this fine little establishment living up to the hype of some of the best fair dinkum pies.

Delicious and cheap. We're sold out of most pies by 2pm though. Seating around the side is great for a quick stop off, not much seating outside.
The pies here are definitely better than other pies in Sydney. It's a shame that they don't have a more central location. As said in another review, the pie size is larger than pies from chain bakeries e.g. pie face, muffin break, etc. They also do sweet bakery items.
Worth a try if you're in the area!

Oh my good heavens! This place serves honest-to-goodness pies. It's definitely one of the better pie shops around (definitely Sydney and possibly Australia. I know it's a bold statement but there could be some truth to it).
Found myself in Narrabeen and zomato'ed for places to grab a bite. Zomato points me to a local pie shop called the Upper Crust. The reviews were decent - so off I went.
It's located on the busy Pittwater Rd (blink and you will miss it). It's a small pie shop with some seating outside and along an adjacent block). Arriving at noon, I am pleasantly surprised at the decent number of fellow patrons.
The lady at the counter recommends the chunky steak and the chicken avocado pies. I go with both and a bottle of soda. All for the cost of $18.
The steak pie; the crust was firm but flakey (but not too flakey); the pastry was tender and crafted with care. The beef was juicy but not too moist. The gravy felt hearty and held together well. I may be wrong but these are all signs of a well-crafted hand made pie (not something from the freezer section of Coles). This is not your usual four' twenty.
The chicken avocado with Brie pie; the pastry is constructed with the same workmanship as the steak pie. It is filled with nice whole chunky pieces of chicken. Tasted like it was from a roasted chicken. The Brie was pleasant and not overpowering and the avocado goes pretty well.
A delightful find, nice pies, value for money and well worth the trek! Highly recommended.
PS: no need to ask for the sauce, I certainly did not end up using it.
The pies here are consistently delicious. Been here several times and always happy with whatever I choose. Lots of variety. Full of flavour.
Years after they opened their doors, Sylvia & Fran's still produce a better-than-average pie. It's not gourmet, it's not fancy. It's a pie shop. And a good one
I'd say this place has best pies in Sydney! Size is bigger than the average and packed with abundant filling (one valid reason why their price is slightly more expensive than others)..
Tried their chicken, avocado and brie, ned kelly (breakfast only) and singapore beef curry.. The former 2 were my favorites!
The chicken was so tender and creamier with the addition of brie and avocado and the pie pastry was so flaky and thin.
Ned Kelly is available in the morning (breakfast only), it's basically combination of bacon and egg we usually eat for breakfast with their traditional beef mince pie..
As for the Singapore Beef Curry pie, I found the flavour was a bit off as somehow it didn't suit the texture of minced beef.
Great pies. The pies are delicious, however during the weekends they run out of the best flavours pretty early. The staff is usually a bit rude.

Worth the drive. There are so many ordinary pie places. Soggy pastry. Suspect filling. This place is NOT like that. Good number to select from including Vegitarian - try the curry Lentil.
This Collaroy / Nthn Beaches institution produces the best pies you are likely to find anywhere in Sydney and perhaps beyond. Multiple award winner and the queues outside of a weekend lunchtime tell the story.
Worth the drive from wherever you come from. Regarded by many as the best pies in Sydney, especially due to their crust. Lots of options but the popular ones could sell out quick or be unavailable when you arrive. But there’s no bad pie at this place. The rolls are really tasty as well. Outdoor seating area next to shop and really friendly staff.

2 small tables and a small tent with some stools for you to eat outside. Queue moves quickly (10min wait on public holiday).
Pies are nice and crusty. Flavour wise, not the best but just ok. good for quick snack out door with friends. Lovely staffs. The pies are over price in my opinion.

Always freshly baked and interesting fillings, and winner of an endless number of awards, all well deserved. Veen coming here for decades and still do when I'm in the area. Have recommended The Upper Crust to so many people and never heard anything negative about them.
My all time favourite pie shop in all of Australia. Been coming here for almost 20 years and never been disappointed. Came here today after not being here for over 6 years and it was as good as I remember it. Beef Massaman pie was delicious and one of my all time favourites the Thai Vegetable was also amazing. The sausage roll with bacon and cheese is to die for :-) I would come back here in a heartbeat and I often go out of my way to come here even though I haven’t lived in the area for over ten years :-)
Great selection of pies to choose from. We had the Chunky Beef Pie and the Massaman Pie. Both were very tasty.
Queues move fast and just across the road there are some nice picnic spots.
