Review Outpost Espresso Collaroy - Collaroy Beach

Sarah charles (Thewhereto)
Sunday 30th of July was forecast to be 26 degrees celsius, Sydney warmest recorded July day on record. We decided to use this as excuse to visit the Collaroy on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. We popped into Outpost Espresso, a short walk from the beach. Perfect for a coffee or a bite to eat, pre or post beach visit. This cosy cafe is popular with locals and visitors alike. Serving the ever popular Campos Coffee with Single origin varieties from Guatamala and Columbia. The staff are very friendly, on first name basis with many visitors and chatting to the customers as they wait for their take away coffees. The menu caters to people wanting to dine in or those in a rush after a quick bite on the run. There are a range of cookies, cakes and sandwiches. There are all day breakfast options including chia, pudding and granola. We ordered ricotta on toast. Served on sour dough from brasserie bread with cinnamon and honey on top, simple and tasty. The also do a range of healthy bowl options. We ordered the tuna bowl. The flavour was nice, the bowl made with a mix of quinoa, almonds, sunflower seeds carrot kale and tuna all mixed together with two eggs on top. Great little cafe for a good coffee, friendly service and a bite to eat.

Good reliable coffee. Friendly staff. Dog park across the road and beach very close. Make sure you allow some time it can be slow due to popularity.

Great spot and nice coffee with Campos beans.
Hungry Diner
A nice cafe close to my home, they have really nice croissants with ham and cheese and good smoothies.

Good coffee, and pretty quick, even when they're busy.

Outpost Espresso a small hole in the wall just off Pittwater Rd in Collaroy. It may be a small space but it does not lack in personality or humour. The staff are sure to brighten your morning routine with a smile on their dile and a coffee in the other hand hot and ready to go.

Menu wise they have a lot more on offer than I originally thought, plenty of lite and tasty meals for a grab and go before your next location. They do have sandwiches ready to go as well as plenty of nice little treats.

I loved their salmon and cream cheese on sourdough which was fresh ! I haven't yet had the coffee here but everyone locally raves about it so give it a whirl and see if you'll be raving after you taste it.
The Naked Food Addict
Quite enjoyed this cute little corner cafe in collaroy. Located a 2 minute walk from the beach (yesssss), it had a really nice feel to it. Great and very friendly service, and the food tasted delicious too. The actual atmosphere on the inside is unfortunately very small and crowded, but the people in the area are just so nice that it didn't feel uncomfortable or annoying. We managed to score a spot outside the front, and it was just a good way to start the day. We tried the acai bowl, the tuna and quinoa salad and the ham and cheese panini. All tasted great! Would recommend checking them out if you are in the area - friendly service and delicious food always go down well! :)

Sir And Mlady Dine Out
Just adjacent to the golf course is one of the busiest cafes we have seen. It’s a small place and we arrived to find a queue at the counter and all the outside tables were full. It’s always promising when a place is so popular. We took a table inside and checked out the menu on the blackboards above the counter.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
It would be easy to drive right past Outpost Espresso, but if you’re a coffee lover, that would be a mistake. The tiny café is tucked down the side of a fish and chips shop in Collaroy. While it doesn’t look like much from the outside, the interior is cosy and welcoming.Large pink blooms brighten up the communal table, which sits under a row of dangling hipster bulbs. A set of shelves shows off their name-brand products – most notably, Campos coffee and loaves of Brasserie bread.A well-stocked glass counter lays out the day’s pastries, muffins and well-stuffed Brasserie bread sandwiches. Behind the counter there’s a chalkboard menu offering up simple breakfast and lunch items, and outlining the flavour profiles of three single origin coffee varietals. With a visit to Melbourne making me cautious about...
The Weekend Foodie
A neat little place, we received excellent service and it's dog friendly.

We ordered 2 smoothies (banana and the other was blueberry) both were delicious!

My partner had the salmon bowl with smoked salmon and beans, I had the tuna bowl with brown rice, both came with 2 boiled eggs and I asked for an extra side of avo. Food was good, it's healthy stuff, really healthy stuff for health conscious people. We still thought it was yummy, but we just felt that there were any hot varieties, we went on a cold winter day and it just wasn't settling, especially when sitting outside in the shade. I think if we went on a hot summer day it would have been perfect unfortunately we are able to rate and review based on our experience at that time.

I personally liked the salmon bowl and Sam liked the tuna bowl better. However I can taste a lot of vinegar in the tuna bowl. Both bowels were generous.

This is a nice little hang out joint for the locals of traveling hanging by the beach. I would recommend this as a summer treat or a winter coffee stop by unless hot meals are brought out

*we were kindly invited

Hi, I am Christina and its my first review on Zomato. If you are interested in Sydney food inspiration pictures, look up my account @positivityna on instagram. I have literally been everywhere :D to start off, me and my friend are both vegan and didnt know if there are vegan options and oitpost was not prepared for vegans- BUT we good a really yummy brunch! The avo toasts were so yum, loved the size and the rye bread (I am German, if i say bread is good, then it is good!) was so crunchy! I also liked the strawberry mint smoothie and the latte art on my coffee was so pretty! (and the coffee really good). Normally there would have been granola too on the acai bowl but they were out of granola as we dropped in last minute and it was a monday. Other vegan options might be the granola bowls and the chia pudding if they wouldnÄt have been out ;) But we were totally satisfied! It was a sunny day so we could enjoy the outside seating before heading to the beach. If you are looking for some good coffee and breaki to takeaway or eat in on your way to palm beach or collaroy beach, I would definitely recommend it. Still having the taste of the avotoasts on my tongue, which we took to the beach with us! And the staff was the kindest!

This cafe is tucked away just off the main drag at Collaroy on Sydney's northern beaches. A small space brimming with passionate staff offering exceptional Campos coffee and delicious food. It's the perfect stop in for fueling up before or after a walk across the huge leash free dog park that leads alongside a large golf course sporting views of the ocean up to a superb headland lookout. The menu offers a selection of take away pre-made sandwiches, bacon, egg, tomato relish and spinach rolls, croissants, muffins or you can sit in and order acai bowls, edamame and salmon or tuna bowls. Rest assured you will always get a great coffee and bite to eat here.

Grabbed a coffee and egg and bacon roll before our walk around the headland - it was yummy and the coffee was seriously fab! The rolls could have been warmer, but it was a good start to the day :)

Outpost is a great place to grab a Campos coffee and do the walk around long reef golf course overlooking Dee Why beach and Collaroy. Good cafe menu, everything made fresh and will win you brownie points with the walk up to the point!
