My girlfriend & I stumbled along Pittwater Rd through Collaroy this morning, with sore heads and an insatiable appetite for fried potato. That's when we came across Stay Grounded.
Having opened up only this week there is an experimental menu in place, designed to show the quality of cooking and the creativity of the minds behind the food.
I ordered The Jacuzzi, an innovative dish incorporating the best flavours and textures that the breakfast world has to offer. A flaky pastry boat filled with a baked bean, chorizo and tomato salsa. This is then topped with 2 eggs of your choice (I found poached to compliment it amazingly) and immaculately crispy hash potatoes scattered around the plate. It was such a well presented and tasty dish that it was hard to believe I only paid $15 for it. The novelty value itself is worth more than that. All in all, this is a meal that I would (and have already begun to) recommend to everyone.
This cafe is well positioned, the decor is modern and provides a great atmosphere, you would be hard-pressed to find friendlier or more attentive staff and the quality of the food and drinks are second to none. You need to try Stay Grounded. It is without a doubt one of the best cafés on the Northern Beaches and has a great future ahead.
Always a nice place to go first thing in the morning. Pleasant staff, good location across from the beach, great coffee. I noticed a lot of health products there such as Kombuchu. Nice to see people taking an interest in their digestion all health.
The Capp and chai latte's are the absolute best around. And don't even get me started on the food and service...Just amazing! I love this place! I come in every morning for my cuppa and anytime my family or friends visit from the states, this is the first place I take them. Never a disappointment. Keep it up guys!
Love it. You order simple bacon and eggs and it’s put together with love. These days it’s packed because it’s so good but they always get you served. Plus they all know my little pug Baz and play with him.
Best breakfast on the Northern Beaches. Love the Stay Grounded Wrap.

Always amazing!! Our go to and our local. They know how to make a mean almond coffee and avo on toast, not to mention how friendly the service is, whether or not they are busy! Couldn't recommend these guys more!

We were introduced to Stay Grounded by our son and daughter in law who live in Collaroy. We had the pleasure of having breakfast there many times during our 6 weeks visit from England. From the wonderful atmosphere and service to the great food and coffee, Stay Grounded have it all.

Top points for great Coffee, roasted by Single O and amazing service!! Don't know another cafe on the beaches that offers table service. Great location opposite the beach.
The menu was tight with the perfect balance of Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch options. Vegan friendly and lots of healthy options.

Just on the main road in collaroy, near the big blue cinema. Stay Grounded cafe has been around for a few years now but I think their latest menu is by far the best! They are adding some delicious ingredients to your classic breakfasts choices like Avo on toast with toasted coconut and housemate coconut feta.
My personal favourite dishes is the "Into the wild" or the "Avo on toast" because lets be honest majority of us love a good Avo.
On weekends it's quite a lively place with every table being taken but the good thing is that majority of the time you would only have to wait about 5 mins for a table.
This little gem of a cafe is great for a coffee or a nice healthy breakfast, it's perfect for groups or if you just want to sit down for a little while and do some work.

I came here with my sister and my mum.
It's location is opposite the beach, it's a little small in size. It the food and coffee is good quality.
My sister and I had the bluest sandwich. I had salmon instead of bacon. The bread was crunchy on the out side soft in the middle, it was very healthy and light,
My mum had a beacon and egg roll. The bacon wasn't soft but it wasn't crunchy either, the roll was crunchy my loved every bite,
We can't wait to go back and try other things off the menu....
We come to stay grounded at least once a week and we love it. The coffee and food are always amazing and the service is always fast and friendly. Thanks for all the epic meals 👌🏻

Not a bad little coffee shop across the way from the bay (yes that just happened 😊), lovely staff with some good coffee on offer makes this place a must when visiting Collaroy Beach
Had a really good Mother’s Day lunch here. Good food, real tasty! Had a Boss Burger, Pikelets and Shakes.
Stopped in for coffee and a B&E roll after a swim at the beach, couldn’t recommend this place enough!! If you’re in the area and after deviously creamy coffee and good food that just hits the spot you must make this sweet little cafe a stop.
The man who served me made a good day better with his hospitality. Felt like a small town cafe in the heart of the city
Love this place! Best coffee in the area and always super friendly service. Serving sizes are generous and presentation is beautiful, even with take away food. I am not a huge fan of coconut but somehow their coconut feta is delicious, and their acai bowl is the best I’ve tried! Can’t recommend this place enough!
Came for brekky, nice atmosphere right on the road but not too loud. Food is decent, nothing spectacular and prices ok. Service friendly and relatively fast.

Absolutely lovely and amazing staff!
They organised food for our shoot and were accomodating to all the various dietary requirements including gluten free and FODMAP, on top of already having delicious food and coffee they were an absolute delight.
We will definitely be back.
Yes, loved it! We are hungry after X-country around the beach. Perfect brunch of breakfast wrap. Ordered one with spicy jalapeño sauce and another with smokey tomato sauce. We swap the half-cut with each other 😘 hot chips is crunchy and cooked with fresh oil (none of the old oil- bad after taste). Have I mentioned this place brew some good coffee and made an excellent almond with blueberries scones!!
Newest addition to the Collaroy casual dining scene is sure to be a winner. Ryan and his team already have a strong coffee following and the new and improved location has been a perfect progression to expand into dinner and drinks. Our burgers The Temptress and The Holy Cluck were fabulous and not 'over-sauced' like so many are these days and the chippies were crisp to the very end.. yum! Views of the beach and friendly staff made for a lovely casual evening close to home. Looking forward to working our way thru the menu :)
