Review Exquisite Thai - Collaroy Beach

This is THE best Thai on the northern beaches.. the food is so tasty! Love eating in/getting take away from here! Highly recommend

I got honey chicken that was very overbattered with extremely small pieces of chicken within. I don't think the honey is real either. Very disappointed! I expect much better quality for the $18 I spent on it. Will not be ordering from here again

The food is great! My favourite is the Satay Chicken Stir Fry with noodles. They have well priced cheap lunch specials that are always a hit with my family. Portions sizes are generous. I highly recommend Exquisite Thai!!

Sensational food. Tasty huge servings. Each mouthful full of sublime, divine flavour. Delightful, helpful kind people. My sincerest thanks for all you are and do. Outstanding entrees, scrumptuous mains. Views of Collaroy beach. This is a terrific location. Easy to get to. Easy parking (close to council car park). Lovely decor.

Excellent host and great food, Try the coconut prawns and Laksa They split the laksa into two bowls which was nice hosting .

If I could give this place a zero I would. Arrived at 6pm for a quick meal with our 2 grand children, one other couple in the restaurant and they had nearly finished meal, 2 other couples after us, one table finished meal by 7.15....., 3 takeaways. Waitress brought out 2 water glasses, no water, no wine glasses even though we had a bottle of wine sitting on the table, only 2 plates....After asking a number times I eventually went to the counter and waited for the wine glasses and water.The entrees arrived in an acceptable time and were of reasonable quality. Then the waiting started, 7.20pm and we still had no main courses. My wife left with the grand children while I waited for the main courses. They eventually arrived and I took them home to eat. Very poor quality food, duck dish was totally over cooked. To their credit, they did give us a 50% discount on the bill. First and last time we will go to this restaurant.

Our takeaway meal was disappointing on Friday. Ordered a beef massaman and vege pad see ew. The massaman meat was tough and cuts too big and chewy, also only one bit bit of potato. Pad see ew just lacked flavour and variety of veg. We were one of the first customers for the night.

Had amazing experience. Very friendly people. The food quantity and quality is great. I am writing reviews next day eating leftover takeaways from yesterday 😋

The service I received from this restaurant was absolutely appalling. Paid $20 for a meal and took it home to discover that the container was half empty. 6 prawns, 3 stalks of broccoli and sauce. Pathetic. Took my meal back and the customer service was disgusting. The manager/owner/chef yelled at me, swore at me and then told me if I had an issue to take it up with consumer affairs. This is not the way you should treat your loyal customers. One of the other staff members looked and me and apologised because she knew her manager was out of line. Even worse was the fact that when I got my money back, they gave me the wrong amount. Embarrassing. I would be absolutely disgraced if I was the owner.

A good Thai option in Collaroy, I enjoyed the soft shell crab and the chilli jam duck.<br/><br/>Service is very fast and it is BYO with a bottle shop 1 minute away.

I have been here once before and I was not over impressed with the pad see ew noodles. So I thought I’ll give it another shot it was a year between visits.<br/><br/>I asked the waiter how big the serving of chicken satay skewers where? She said small I said ok I’ll order them and I’ll also order the two king prawn on some leaf. For main I had Penang chicken curry<br/><br/>The chicken satay came out it was so tasty and cooked to perfection.<br/><br/>I then tried the two king prawns 🦐 on same Thai leaf 🍃 it advises to have it in one mouth full so I did, the prawn was amazing the sauce however was a little sour and very fishy! But was a good experience.<br/><br/>Penang chicken was cooked to perfection. I asked for spicy it was medium. <br/><br/>I asked the lady if it had changed hands recently and she said no why! And I told her last time I wasn’t to impressed but this time I was much more impressed with the food!

How to say... SO GOOD FOOD! Its been a while that had this good thai food. Not 'fake' sauces etc .. just real taste. We had a late night drive and just stopped at Collaroy to have some food.. this place is not so easily noticed from surroundings but when you get next to it.. it drags you in. Nice looking small restaurant with happy, smiling friendly people. Really friendly service.<br/><br/>Had panag curry and have to say.. that was definately TOP5 panang curries I have eaten. Sooooooo goood!!!<br/><br/>Will go again. Recommended+++++

Poor customer service. Waited an hour without warning<br/>Food arrived - soggy money bags and no rice was delivered as ordered.<br/>When we rang back lady was rude <br/>Rice arrived 15 min later no apology

Quick and friendly. I came to Exquisite Thai with another person to get some takeaway. While waiting, we had a lovely chat with the owner, it really quickened the wait time and made it an enjoyable experience. If I ever find myself in Collaroy again, I will be glad to sample more of their menu!
