Enjoyed a delicious high tea for my sister in laws hens & couldn't recommend Mamor Chocolates more highly! They were extremely accommodating to our dietary needs, (including vegan & gluten free) ensuring these guests didn't miss out on the tasty food - even fluffy scones & tasty sandwiches!!!
We felt very special in their exotically decorated space which was perfect for our celebrations đ
Amazing venue, gracious hostess and the best high tea we've ever had! The handcrafted chocolates which were pure artwork were also delicious. Ladies this place is a must!
As I entered Mamor it took my breath away, like being transported to another time and place! So much to take in! The most outstanding high tea I've ever experienced! Delectable food, friendly and professional staff! Thank you for the Best birthday cake! Definitely going to be back, might have to turn 50 again!ďż˝
Today we celebrated Jenny's 60th with high tea at Mamor. Amazing place. Unbelievable food and service. Thank you for catering for gluten intolerance etc. Highly recommend.
We celebrated my mums 80th birthday she and all our guests could not have had a more devine experience. Food was absolutely amazing, excellent service. Everything from the food/drinks to the decor, to the service, to the atmosphere, highly recommend for the absolute high tea experience for all ages. Definitely returning in the future.
On our recent trip to Melbourne from New Zealand we visited Mamor Chocolates for high Tea. There were 4 of us in our group and we had the most amazing time. We were greeted by very friendly and knowledgable staff, who made us most welcomed. We were served drinks on arrival, followed by a 3 course afternoon tea that can only be described as a wow factor. All the food and jams were all made on the premises by the owner, Pastry Chef Janet McKenzie. Thank you Janet and your wonderful staff Cindy and Chris for a truely amazing high Tea. We look forward to returning on our next trip. We would highly recommend Mamor Chocolates for high Tea.
We held my Bridal SoirĂŠe at Mamor on Saturday night and it was an absolutely fantastic night. The staff couldnât have been more helpful leading up to and on the night. The venue is gorgeous and food amazing. Thank you Hini and the staff at Mamor for helping to make my night such a special one.
Our 3 course high tea was the best I've eaten anywhere. Amazing, I can't decide what was the best.
I just had a special Birthday here and it was fantastic. Thank you to the wonderful staff. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. They catered for GF, vegan and fructose free and they did it so well. Thanks again and we will be back. đ
The food was divine, so was the champagne!! Many places do high tea however nothing comes close to the ambience that Mamor offers. Put that with scrumptious sweet and savoury delights, (and more than enough) extra attention to detail, friendly staff, Mamor is definitely a winner.
Thank-you so much for the amazing effort you put into the vegan meal!! It was absolutely delicious and I felt just like everyone else enjoying their high tea!!! Very special!!!
We had the most beautiful high tea here! Best ever, in fact! Such a gorgeous high tea salon, with the most gracious hosts. Highly recommend this stunningly charming venue
We had a wonderful afternoon
High tea was a great treat for my newly 19yr old daughter
We were all made to feel very spoiled and the food exceeded expectations
We will be back.
Great place, staff were so lovely and the food was amazing!
Hubby celebrated his birthday during the first week of restrictions being lifted in Victoria, and restaurants were able to have limited numbers of dine-in customers. And what better way to celebrate a birthday than with a chocolate high tea at MĂĄmor Chocolates & High Tea SzalĂłn! Booking online was a breeze, and there is a 50% deposit required to secure the booking. The front of house manager wasn't around, but we were very well looked after by the owner and chef, Janet. We enjoyed every bite, and loved being in such rich and lush surroundings, so unlike the world outside. A lot of thought and care have gone into the details, from the crystal chandeliers right down to the fine bone china and silverware, and we enjoyed every part of the experience. The chocolate high tea at MĂĄmor is highly recommended!
Such an incredible, special, beautiful place. Took my mum here as part of her Christmas present. As soon as you walk inside you feel like you're in a different world, you're transported into such a luxurious, comfortable space. The service was impeccable. There had been a mix up as I asked for a vegan high tea for myself, and my mum requested the traditional high tea. The high tea was listed as 100% vegan. The owner was so professional and took full responsibility. She did not charge the extra vegan cost for either of us and gave us chocolates to take home. I'm actually so glad this happened because my mum as a non vegan was just blown away at how incredible all the food was. I haven't had quiche in two years and we both just could not believe how delicious their tofu based quiche was. What I was most excited about was the scones which were superb, and my mum especially was delighted by the cream. We asked them how they made it without a hint of coconut and I realised so much thought, love and research had gone into finding the absolute tastiest cream for all customers. So inclusive. We had the loveliest waitress bringing us endless pink lemonade, coffee, and tea. We were SO.FULL. but still had to make room for the dessert! Perfect treat, perfect food, perfect service. Thank you so much!
Had the most amazing experience here! I have many intolerances and they were more than willing to change everything to suit my needs. Food was delicious and I didnât feel as though I was missing out on anything. Will be going back!
What a divine and quaint chocolate cafe! The decor is to die for and you do feel a bit fancy when dining here. The frontage also has a nice little display, stops people in their tracks when they walk past. I dined here with friends when we did tea leaf readings with Annie. The desserts on offer were next level and the presentation was flawless!
I dined as a guest at the Mamor Harry Potter high tea event last night and while it may have been the 1st of February I have a feeling 2019 is going to find it hard to top the pure delight that was that magical evening.
Everything was flawlessly executed right down to every little exquisite detail they had thought of. As a massive Harry Potter fan it was everything Iâd dreamed of and more. Utterly delicious, we can only pray they run more fabulous themed events like this. Iâm also crossing my fingers they start selling their phenomenal jam
Original review
What an absolute delight to visit Mamor as guests on Friday. The entire experience was sensational (other than the part where my car got towed, be vigilant with parking times!) I felt as though I had stepped onto the set of Moulin Rouge (which happens to be one of my favourite films) it had such a luxurious atmosphere and old world charm. We could have been in a European tea salon.
This would be an amazing venue for a private function and they do all sorts of amazing things for hens parties including tea readings or life drawing. Kind of makes me want to get married again.. The high tea comes out in three stages (it reflects the traditional three tiers) which gives you time to really enjoy your bottomless tea options or a bottle of champagne. We went for two of my favourite blends; French earl grey and vanilla rooibos.
I also had a pink lemonade which has an iced hibiscus tea base. The first course was savouries and my favourite item was the ribbon sandwich with salmon pate and baby spinach. There was also a vegetarian rice paper roll on there which was something different and exciting to see at a high tea. The chicken stuffed cucumber was also a unique item and presented beautifully.
The second round was scones freshly made and served warm with house made strawberry and plum jam. I thoroughly enjoyed the jam as the plum gave it a slight tartness. So many jams are overly sweet. There were also several biscuits on here the absolute standout of which was a chocolate covered gingerbread cookie. Unbelievably yummy.
Our final dessert course included three items and I was hard pressed to pick a favourite. I loved the mojito flavoured mousse on coconut daquoise but the salted caramel cream patisserie profiterole was simply outstanding!
Before leaving we were given one of their gorgeous artisan chocolates and allowed to select another to take home. I opted for pina colada with white rum and in keeping with the theme of the day, it was sensational.
This has shot straight to the top of my list for a lovely high tea. All of the details here are stunning and opulent. The experience is extravagant and decadent and one you wonât forget in a hurry.
It was a great day to had high tea in Mamor. Really nice and professional staff introduced every set for us, also given us good suggestion for tea. Love French earl grey tea with macarons. Very traditional English style high tea. We take the $75 ppl high tea set, Highly recommend.
I have now been to Mamor twice and each time I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I am so impressed with the high tea menu, tea selection and the wonderful hospitality. Please do take the time to have high tea with your girlfriends, family etc. you will just have the best time.
Indulgence (noun): an occasion when you allow someone or yourself to have something enjoyable, especially more than is good for you (Cambridge Dictionary).
Hahndorf Hill Winery and Mamor Chocolates have combined their powers to perfect indulgence to a T. Pairing a carefully curated 8-course degustation menu with Hahndorf Hillâs wines, Mamor offers Melbourneâs most decadent high tea experience.
With plush velvet furnishings, fine antique china and crystal chandelier lights, the Baroque inspired tea szalĂłn creates a tasteful setting for any special occasion. The high tea menu boasts an assortment of both savoury and sweet delights catering to all dietary requirements, including a 3-course vegan spread! And of course, one must dabble in Mamorâs acclaimed handcrafted chocolates, made fresh on site by proud owner and pastry chef, Janet McKenzie.
The artisan wine makers from Hanhdorf Hill Winery also have a penchant for extravagance. Located at the edge of the German-heritage village of Hahndorf in Adelaide Hills, the boutique vineyard produces food-friendly Austrian grape varieties of Blaufrankisch, Gruner Veltliner, Zweigelt and St Laurent. Theyâre especially renowned for their Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Shiraz and fresh, dry RosĂŠ â all cool climate classics from the Adelaide Hills wine region.
The inaugural Mamor and Hahndorf high tea experience featured 8 exquisite canapĂŠs, each paired with a quality drop. Led by wine maker and oracle Jack Simmons, the evening commenced with a Potato Gratin with hot smoked ocean trout and a lemon dill foam matched with Hahndorfâs âWhite Mischiefâ Gruner Veltliner 2018; a fruit-driven, dry white. Highlights included the Citrus Pancake with roast duck, cucumber, spring onion and 5 spice plum sauce with the juicy âZsa Zsaâ Zweigelt 2017, and the decadent Dark Chocolate mousse and caramelised pear on a hazelnut brownie base in holy matrimony with the âGreen Angelâ Late Harvest Gruner Veltliner â an exceptional desert wine with honey and bright citrus.
Immediately when you walk into this Szalon (French for salon), you know you are walking into somewhere very special.
Â
I felt luxurious and posh being inside this space.  I spoke more proper than usual, and in a tone that was more soft and soothing. This is the effect of being in a calming space like Mamor. I love the lashings of red, wood, gold, mirrors, glassware. The tea ware is gorgeous. Every single piece feels individual and carefully curated.
Â
The pastry chef / chocolatier has a vision, and you can tell with her meticulous detail that she cares about every single element in each dessert.  The dessert menu does change, but I was particularly impressed with the verrine, the matcha choux, the raspberry tart and the sticky date. If you want something visually spectacular, then go for the chocolate stiletto, because itâŚisâŚaâŚÂ chocolate⌠stiletto! The selection of teas were fantastic, I enjoyed the mango one â it wasnât too sweet.
Â
In a world of mass production and trend chasing, this is classic, without being outdated. Mamor isn't trying to be in vogue, because it's in its own league. Everyone in Melbourne should experience Mamor.Â
We came here for dessert night (yes, it is a thing), which happens once a month. Loved the high tea here, very vintage glam. Prefect for hens nights, dress up nights like Gatsby and baby showers. Staff are fabulous, the Chef really knows her stuff and always tries something different. As a group we had the mini quiches with caramelised onions, zucchini and sweetcorn and free ranged pork and fennel sauage rolls both went so well with our glass of sparkling. For main course if was all about the desserts we shared the sticky date pudding with salted caramel sauce, coffee crumble, honey comb and chocolate semifreddo. Oh my goodness, I couldn't get enough of that caramel sauce. The I canât decide Petit four platter includes opera cake, Verrine, mango and coconut macaron, mille fuille with yuzu ricotta was delicious and great to try a bit of everything. We also had a pot of tea each and it was prefect timing as were there they had a tea reader in! Located at the quiet part of Johnston St, Collingwood which means there will be parking spots, another plus. Thank you for inviting us, we enjoyed it all.
Desert nights once a month is the best idea I have ever heard! The selections of goodies all made in house blew my mind. I love how it was presented and how delicate the dessert were. Each piece had itâs unique combination of flavour, which was perfect with some bubbles or tea.
The tea selection is amazing here. I especially love the strawberry celebration tea, it was soul warming and sprite lifting! I had to bring one home to enjoy with my hubby.
The beautifully crafted chocolates all had unique fillings. I honestly could have ate all the chocolates available!
I would recommend coming here for a high tea, private functions like a hens, birthday or just for fun. They offer so much extra and the space is stunning.
A stunning high tea venue inspired by the European palace-styled decor, Mamor Chocolates is certainly a classy Melbourne spot worth treating yourself to once in a while! Theyâre honestly the whole package when it comes to the high tea experience â with an air of finesse and elegance in their interior design, a welcoming front of house with exceptional service, as well as refined and unique options to treat anyone. I fell in love with this Melbourne high tea experience â designed with 3 separate courses of savoury, Devonshire tea, followed by desserts, our Full Indulgent High Tea was full of delicious surprises.
We had the high tea experience ever today . We had the 11 setting. We enjoyed it . The service was great . Very very friendly. Mum really enjoyed her Motherâs Day hightea
We came for my daughters birthday and had the Seven Sins of Chocolate High Tea. It was amazing. The food, service and atmosphere were outstanding. Highly recommend
WOW - I took my mum for a Devonshire tea while she was visiting from Perth and it was FABULOUS. Â Service was excellent and the scones were fresh, straight from the oven.. Â The little chocolate and macaroon delights just topped off a perfect morning tea. Â The decor is stunning and perfect for high tea. Â I will definitely be back again! Â I highly recommend a walk in during the week when they don't have too many bookings.
Amazing and Luxurious decor
Very personal and boutique
Food, desserts and chocolate was beautiful
We loved that it's more intimate and relaxed on the velvet chairs.
So lovely that the chef comes out to visit guests
Would go back
We so loved having high tea at Mamor Chocolates.  The service was wonderful, the food sooooo yummy and the vibe.... just decadent!  We left feeling so spoilt.  The apple pie tea was to die for and the  parmesan biscuits with capsicum omg....... loved it xxx
MĂ mor Chocolates is an absolute MUST if you are high tea lovers like us! MĂ mor is impeccably decorated, and aesthetically pleasing the moment you walk in the door. The ambience of small terrace tea house in Fitzroy makes you feel relaxed and royal! The staff are beyond wonderful, so professional, lovely service. The afternoon high tea is delicious! All the food was freshly made from the sandwiches to the scones which came hot out of the oven! The homemade jam is to die for and a wonderful selection of Melbourne made teas from Tea Leaves in the hills.
TIP: Do order the Afternoon Tea- 3 courses of pure bliss and for a very fair price! Don't forget to the try the Mint & Lavender tea- makes you tingle with happiness!
Such a beautiful hidden gem in the quiet streets of Collingwood. A venue head to toe in regal furniture and Royal Albert Tea ware everywhere you look. The food is amazing, such decadent pastries and savouries! Wait staff are fantastic and so attentive. Competitive pricing compared to other high tea outlets. Will be back!
We had a high tea here on a Saturday afternoon as part of a hen's night and it was AMAZING!! We had 20 ladies and the space set up for us was perfect. Every detail from the tablecloths to the chalkboard at the front to the food provided for our two guests with special dietary requirements was well thought out and executed with great care. The food was delicious and there was so much of it- great value for money! The staff were great. Very professional and the communication throughout the planning process was constant and thorough. I really can't recommend this place enough. 10/10
Charming high tea salon that has a more delightful ambiance than other similar 'tourist trap' places in Melbourne. Not only did my girlfriend and I enjoy the delicious savouries, tea and chocolates, we were also invited by the pastry chefs into the 'chocolate room' where they work their craft. This and the warm, friendly service made our afternoon tea an especially memorable experience.
Very nice and friendly staff and owner. Great place to have high tea, they will accommodate your request for special occasion etc organise private seating.
We had a wonderful time with girl friends, no pressure of pushing us to leave, we didn't realise the shop was actually closed at 5pm, we stayed till 6pm. Very relaxing and great atmosphere.
The scones were definitely the highlight of the day, best match with the homemade raspberry sauce.

Slightly on the expensive side but a high tea experience you will not forget. A beautiful and ornate setting with exceptional tea, amazing chocolates and desserts. Would love to see more variety especially with savoury options.
Had a great Sunday afternoon with our lovely host Hannah.. She made everyone so much at ease and the ambience was beautiful.. To add to it the tarot session was a good twist on the high tea concept.. The only thing I was disappointed was the price in accordance to the food.. I found it a bit expensive..
Oh my gosh, this was the BEST chocolate experience I've ever had. Genuinely indescribable. The hot chocolate was so divine that I think I will want to be back there again and again just to have it. Hanna is very passionate in her chocolate and pastry making, and shared her experiences with us and we had a lovely chat.
Even for us with special diet needs! Professional, creative and delicious.. I recently went to MĂĄmor while attending a friend's Hen's Day.
I had rung ahead and spoken with the owner, Hanna about some specific dietary requirements I have.
I'd recommend calling Hanna ahead of time so she can tailor something just for you. It's well worth it.
Hanna's genuine desire to provide the absolute best service was amazing.
She listened carefully, took notes and delivered the most amazing, creative and delicious food on the day.
Honestly Hanna, I wish there were more people out there like you. Your food and service were second to none!
Thank you Hanna, from the Fructose girl with the silly hat :)
The exceptionally fantastic customer service well and truly began before we even set foot through the door, with the darling Hanna talking me through all of my options when I first called to enquire, explaining that organising the big âhigh teaâ wasnât necessary â sheâd be more than happy to reserve us a table and we could just order off the a la carte menu of sweet and savoury delights, plus as many pots of tea as our premature nanna hearts desired. Perfect!
Delicious and worth trying. I went to Mamor with my husband and we had a delightful time. The scones were the best I've ever had and the European twist on the traditional high tea is really welcomed when everyone else is presenting the same fare.
I can't wait to go back.
Outstanding. I was spoilt today with high tea at mamor. We were warmly greeted by Hanna and treated like very special guests for a couple of hours. There were maybe 20 different leaf teas to choose from. Our tea was served on a special apparatus with a tea light in it to keep it warm. The food was delicious and made with love. What a hidden Melbourne treasure.
Great atmosphere & host. Food was delicious.
A very nice place~ Service is good, everything is good~ Especially the homemade scones and chocolate! MUST TRY!
Memories are made from great events. Thanks Hanna for a truly memorable high-tea that I was able to share with family. You are indeed a gracious hostess, the hospitality provided was without question the very best and we look forward to you hosting an evening themed event in the not too distant future for us. BTW - the food, decor and just everything about your Szalon was excellent. Your 2012 award was richly deserved and trust many more accolades come your way.
Thanks again for a wonderful time.
Wonderful place tucked away in the suburbs of Melbourne. Hana was a gracious, charming, lovely host who brought an authentic Hungarian-style twist to a traditional high tea experience. Loved the decor!!
So dIfferent to the big hotels and in a good way - personal, intimate, delicious and a little but eccentric (in a good way). My mum, cousin, aunt, friend and I had a ball. Highly recommended.
Mini High Tea. We booked a mini high tea on the spur of the moment and we were delighted with the service and delicious chocolates, scones and cocoa we had. Hanna and her husband made us feel very welcome and you know instantly that they have pride and passion in their business. Hanna is highly entertaining and a real character. It sounds cheesy but she really made us feel special.
Her husband talked about cocoa making and we got to taste cocoa beans and pure cocoa drink as well as the creamy smooth cocoa we received as part of the mini high tea. It was an absolute bargain at 15 dollars each for the special treatment and beautiful surroundings and chocolate we received.
The Real Thing. Everyone who makes chocolate will tell you it's "creamy", "Sensuous" "Indulgent" blah blah. But at Mamor - it's for real. I have tried several of her handmade chocolates and they have changed chocolate for me forever. I never particularly liked spiced or chocolate with herbs, liquor, etc. But everything I have had has been amazing and changed my mind completely. The lavender chocolates! The rose water and cardamon! The truffles! The SCONES!! Everything Hanna turns her hand to is made with love and mastery.
Loved it!!. Wow, Mamor Chocolate Szalon is amazing! We went for the High Tea and it was perfect...Everything is handmade, right down to the marmalade. Hanna is really lovely and charming.
There is a great variety of tasty treats from goats cheese tarts, the best pumpkin soup ever, "pogacsa" (a kind of savoury scone), scones, cakes, chocolate, champagne, tea (of course) and heaps more.
Easily the best High Tea I've been to in Melbourne.

...a Hungarian-themed afternoon tea...a touch of Old Europe in a most unexpected pocket of Melbourne.
Before indulging our tray of chosen delectable truffles, we were served freshly cut fruits of apple and mandarin orange to cleanse our palate. Both of us chosen the Bailey and jasmine tea for myself and mint for my friend. Even though my friend is not huge fan of white chocolate, she loved how the flavours come together with the dark chocolate underneath the
