Enjoyed a delicious high tea for my sister in laws hens & couldn't recommend Mamor Chocolates more highly! They were extremely accommodating to our dietary needs, (including vegan & gluten free) ensuring these guests didn't miss out on the tasty food - even fluffy scones & tasty sandwiches!!!
We felt very special in their exotically decorated space which was perfect for our celebrations đ
Amazing venue, gracious hostess and the best high tea we've ever had! The handcrafted chocolates which were pure artwork were also delicious. Ladies this place is a must!
Hubby celebrated his birthday during the first week of restrictions being lifted in Victoria, and restaurants were able to have limited numbers of dine-in customers. And what better way to celebrate a birthday than with a chocolate high tea at MĂĄmor Chocolates & High Tea SzalĂłn! Booking online was a breeze, and there is a 50% deposit required to secure the booking. The front of house manager wasn't around, but we were very well looked after by the owner and chef, Janet. We enjoyed every bite, and loved being in such rich and lush surroundings, so unlike the world outside. A lot of thought and care have gone into the details, from the crystal chandeliers right down to the fine bone china and silverware, and we enjoyed every part of the experience. The chocolate high tea at MĂĄmor is highly recommended!
Such an incredible, special, beautiful place. Took my mum here as part of her Christmas present. As soon as you walk inside you feel like you're in a different world, you're transported into such a luxurious, comfortable space. The service was impeccable. There had been a mix up as I asked for a vegan high tea for myself, and my mum requested the traditional high tea. The high tea was listed as 100% vegan. The owner was so professional and took full responsibility. She did not charge the extra vegan cost for either of us and gave us chocolates to take home. I'm actually so glad this happened because my mum as a non vegan was just blown away at how incredible all the food was. I haven't had quiche in two years and we both just could not believe how delicious their tofu based quiche was. What I was most excited about was the scones which were superb, and my mum especially was delighted by the cream. We asked them how they made it without a hint of coconut and I realised so much thought, love and research had gone into finding the absolute tastiest cream for all customers. So inclusive. We had the loveliest waitress bringing us endless pink lemonade, coffee, and tea. We were SO.FULL. but still had to make room for the dessert! Perfect treat, perfect food, perfect service. Thank you so much!
Had the most amazing experience here! I have many intolerances and they were more than willing to change everything to suit my needs. Food was delicious and I didnât feel as though I was missing out on anything. Will be going back!
What a divine and quaint chocolate cafe! The decor is to die for and you do feel a bit fancy when dining here. The frontage also has a nice little display, stops people in their tracks when they walk past. I dined here with friends when we did tea leaf readings with Annie. The desserts on offer were next level and the presentation was flawless!
I dined as a guest at the Mamor Harry Potter high tea event last night and while it may have been the 1st of February I have a feeling 2019 is going to find it hard to top the pure delight that was that magical evening.
Everything was flawlessly executed right down to every little exquisite detail they had thought of. As a massive Harry Potter fan it was everything Iâd dreamed of and more. Utterly delicious, we can only pray they run more fabulous themed events like this. Iâm also crossing my fingers they start selling their phenomenal jam

What an absolute delight to visit Mamor as guests on Friday. The entire experience was sensational (other than the part where my car got towed, be vigilant with parking times!) I felt as though I had stepped onto the set of Moulin Rouge (which happens to be one of my favourite films) it had such a luxurious atmosphere and old world charm. We could have been in a European tea salon.
This would be an amazing venue for a private function and they do all sorts of amazing things for hens parties including tea readings or life drawing. Kind of makes me want to get married again.. The high tea comes out in three stages (it reflects the traditional three tiers) which gives you time to really enjoy your bottomless tea options or a bottle of champagne. We went for two of my favourite blends; French earl grey and vanilla rooibos.
I also had a pink lemonade which has an iced hibiscus tea base. The first course was savouries and my favourite item was the ribbon sandwich with salmon pate and baby spinach. There was also a vegetarian rice paper roll on there which was something different and exciting to see at a high tea. The chicken stuffed cucumber was also a unique item and presented beautifully.
The second round was scones freshly made and served warm with house made strawberry and plum jam. I thoroughly enjoyed the jam as the plum gave it a slight tartness. So many jams are overly sweet. There were also several biscuits on here the absolute standout of which was a chocolate covered gingerbread cookie. Unbelievably yummy.
Our final dessert course included three items and I was hard pressed to pick a favourite. I loved the mojito flavoured mousse on coconut daquoise but the salted caramel cream patisserie profiterole was simply outstanding!
Before leaving we were given one of their gorgeous artisan chocolates and allowed to select another to take home. I opted for pina colada with white rum and in keeping with the theme of the day, it was sensational.
This has shot straight to the top of my list for a lovely high tea. All of the details here are stunning and opulent. The experience is extravagant and decadent and one you wonât forget in a hurry.
It was a great day to had high tea in Mamor. Really nice and professional staff introduced every set for us, also given us good suggestion for tea. Love French earl grey tea with macarons. Very traditional English style high tea. We take the $75 ppl high tea set, Highly recommend.
I have now been to Mamor twice and each time I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I am so impressed with the high tea menu, tea selection and the wonderful hospitality. Please do take the time to have high tea with your girlfriends, family etc. you will just have the best time.
Indulgence (noun): an occasion when you allow someone or yourself to have something enjoyable, especially more than is good for you (Cambridge Dictionary).
Hahndorf Hill Winery and Mamor Chocolates have combined their powers to perfect indulgence to a T. Pairing a carefully curated 8-course degustation menu with Hahndorf Hillâs wines, Mamor offers Melbourneâs most decadent high tea experience.
With plush velvet furnishings, fine antique china and crystal chandelier lights, the Baroque inspired tea szalĂłn creates a tasteful setting for any special occasion. The high tea menu boasts an assortment of both savoury and sweet delights catering to all dietary requirements, including a 3-course vegan spread! And of course, one must dabble in Mamorâs acclaimed handcrafted chocolates, made fresh on site by proud owner and pastry chef, Janet McKenzie.
The artisan wine makers from Hanhdorf Hill Winery also have a penchant for extravagance. Located at the edge of the German-heritage village of Hahndorf in Adelaide Hills, the boutique vineyard produces food-friendly Austrian grape varieties of Blaufrankisch, Gruner Veltliner, Zweigelt and St Laurent. Theyâre especially renowned for their Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Shiraz and fresh, dry RosĂ© â all cool climate classics from the Adelaide Hills wine region.
The inaugural Mamor and Hahndorf high tea experience featured 8 exquisite canapĂ©s, each paired with a quality drop. Led by wine maker and oracle Jack Simmons, the evening commenced with a Potato Gratin with hot smoked ocean trout and a lemon dill foam matched with Hahndorfâs âWhite Mischiefâ Gruner Veltliner 2018; a fruit-driven, dry white. Highlights included the Citrus Pancake with roast duck, cucumber, spring onion and 5 spice plum sauce with the juicy âZsa Zsaâ Zweigelt 2017, and the decadent Dark Chocolate mousse and caramelised pear on a hazelnut brownie base in holy matrimony with the âGreen Angelâ Late Harvest Gruner Veltliner â an exceptional desert wine with honey and bright citrus.
Immediately when you walk into this Szalon (French for salon), you know you are walking into somewhere very special.

I felt luxurious and posh being inside this space.  I spoke more proper than usual, and in a tone that was more soft and soothing. This is the effect of being in a calming space like Mamor. I love the lashings of red, wood, gold, mirrors, glassware. The tea ware is gorgeous. Every single piece feels individual and carefully curated.
Â
The pastry chef / chocolatier has a vision, and you can tell with her meticulous detail that she cares about every single element in each dessert.  The dessert menu does change, but I was particularly impressed with the verrine, the matcha choux, the raspberry tart and the sticky date. If you want something visually spectacular, then go for the chocolate stiletto, because itâŠisâŠaâŠÂ chocolate⊠stiletto! The selection of teas were fantastic, I enjoyed the mango one â it wasnât too sweet.

In a world of mass production and trend chasing, this is classic, without being outdated. Mamor isn't trying to be in vogue, because it's in its own league. Everyone in Melbourne should experience Mamor.Â
We came here for dessert night (yes, it is a thing), which happens once a month. Loved the high tea here, very vintage glam. Prefect for hens nights, dress up nights like Gatsby and baby showers. Staff are fabulous, the Chef really knows her stuff and always tries something different. As a group we had the mini quiches with caramelised onions, zucchini and sweetcorn and free ranged pork and fennel sauage rolls both went so well with our glass of sparkling. For main course if was all about the desserts we shared the sticky date pudding with salted caramel sauce, coffee crumble, honey comb and chocolate semifreddo. Oh my goodness, I couldn't get enough of that caramel sauce. The I canât decide Petit four platter includes opera cake, Verrine, mango and coconut macaron, mille fuille with yuzu ricotta was delicious and great to try a bit of everything. We also had a pot of tea each and it was prefect timing as were there they had a tea reader in! Located at the quiet part of Johnston St, Collingwood which means there will be parking spots, another plus. Thank you for inviting us, we enjoyed it all.
