Review Two Birds - Collingwood

Saudi Melbourne
Five stars for the beautiful and quiet vibes for the place. I love the eggs Benedict without ham. Omelette and french toast were average.
Aude Dorison
Excellent brunch! I had the Garden French toast which was just to die for and my partner had the breakfast morning glory which looked amazing! Staff was kind and food came reasonably quickly. Would recommend!

This is a great place to have a wonderful seasonal brunch in Collingwood, the decor is beautiful and there always seems to be an outside seat for your pup. Food is yummy, great options, excellent eggs, just all round amazing food and service.

Poke bowl is always good. Korea fried chicken also very tasty.
Antonia Niaga
Crispy fish burrito was tasty and all meals were generously portioned. The two bird morning glory stole the show.

Nice atmosphere and Friendly Staff. All the Covid procedures followed. Food was generally good, although a lot of option to improve. Probably will start with the bread. Coffee was great. Saw they allowed dogs in ( at least for take away orders, which was nice). Overall a good local for the Collingwoodians :)

This is such a lovely little cafe. Great vibes and decor. Quality coffee. Tasty food, with good vego options. Seats could use a cushion or two hahah. All in all - fantastic. Will be back. Love it when the coffee has less water in. Super tasty beans on. Friendly staff.

Wonderful friendly service, relaxed environment, great variety of items on the menu and....ALL DAY BRUNCH. Those magic words. I'm not a morning person so i hate having to rush to get to a place before they stop serving breakfast 🙄 Food is tasty with generous servings. You will leave feeling delightfully full and your wallet will be happy too đŸ€‘

Ordered two breakfasts today with a mate of mine. It was my first social interaction and food after COVID 19 isolation. Both meals were identical . Halfway through my meal I found a hair in my meal. I was almost nauseous. I was terrified with filthy hygiene. We both stopped eating exactly in middle of our meals . I called the guy and he took both food away. When I was leaving they charged me for one meal and four coffees. Charge for coffees are ok but charge for another identical meal which my mate stopped eating after seeing hair at mine??? Really?

Have been here twice now. One time I went with my partner and ordered the big brekkie and eggs with bacon. The second time I went with a friend and had the crumbed eggs. There are consistently patrons coming in but they will try and accommodate you if they can. The services sizes are large enough that you don't leave hungry after your meal. The big brekkie was delicious. We had to ask for butter as it doesn't come with toast and really the toast is too hard to cut into. The crumbed eggs were too greasy. Would also love freshly squeezed juices rather than pre packaged ones. Service is friendly. Price is on par with other breakfast places in town. Tip: using plastic straws is not really going to increase your rating!

Been to Two birds a couple of times and every time the food is delicious. The highlight for me is the Korean pancake with a side of bacon. The pancake is crispy and delicious and the salsa that comes out with it with the sauce just compliments it perfectly.
Quince And Cheese
Nice stopping spot for a coffee and a hearty slice of banana bread on the backstreets of Smith. The space is large and bright and simply but pleasantly fit out with a warm wood and brick interior. Lots of veg menu items that I'm keen to go back and try.

Nice cafe and brunch spot in Collingwood. I don’t have a go-to dish but always a pleasant experience coming back here and trying something new! Great coffee ☕ too!

Most underrated brunch spot Northside and now my local go to. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. Refreshingly not pretentious like a lot of Melbourne cafes and brunch spots. Their food is delicious and of generous portions. Always leave here feeling satisfied :) Would recommend the big breakfast or crispy eggs.

I love the ambience! The lights looks beautiful especially during the afternoon. I liked how the cafe looks spacious and well put together.<br/><br/>The food was alright, I did expect it to be a bit better with the beef burger and chai latte but other than that it was all good. The chai latte wasn't spicy enough to my liking, it felt like I was drinking soy milk but it was still good. Staff members are friendly and welcoming! Would come back for another visit 😊

My Key Three Pointers <br/>* This cafe has come a long way, once a tiny shop front now a large presence <br/>* Great coffee and service <br/>* Lots of options and ticks many boxes. <br/><br/>I worked in the area for 10 years and have seen the area evolve. I’m super proud of Two Birds Cafe as they did not close the doors when other cafes opened up, they stood up to the competition. About 6 years ago they were the only cafe, a tiny space with maybe 3 tables. Now you walk in to a beautiful space. It is very different to the cafe that served me my daily coffee but one thing remains the same good coffee and great service. The food menu looks amazing. I was in my old hood and could not go without a coffee and Muesli slice. Just as good as I remember <br/><br/><br/>

Two birds cafe in Collingwood. Nice cafe at the corner and nicely decorated. They serve great brunch and also the lunch special choice. The pasta was nicely cooked and tasty. It is definitely a good place to dine in. Highly recommended

This cafe is small and narrow. Luckily it has many windows along the side, allowing the natural sunlight to flow in and create a warm and cosy ambience. We came in for an early breakfast and were surprised by the generous portion of food - especially the omelette which would have been enough to feed two people! Overall, the food was delicious... we just didn’t like the amount of heirloom tomato salsa on top of the smashed avocado. It was too strong of a flavour and took away from the classic avo dish - probably better to put it on one side of the dish. It tasted better on its own. Coffee-wise, we were happy with the taste (so long as we added some sugar) 👍
Food Junkie
Surprisingly I got parking straight away. The waiter was was and friendly. Beautifully decorated with large windows to let the warm sun in. <br/>My friend had the linguine and I had the chicken salad. In a true asian style of course we shared lol. Both dishes were delicious. The coffee was not that great, the milk texture wasn’t right in that there are a lot of large bubbles. Expecting it too be more smooth, and I don’t think the barista was in a rush as it wasn’t that busy.

We came here for brunch today for a girls day out. My friend got the pork belly salad and it came with thick pork slices which were lean and tasted amazing. My fish burrito didn’t have much fish and the salad was quite plain. Wish they had more on the menu!

New time favorite! Delicious cafe and food (we both had the eggs Benedict which were absolutely yummy). Service is also very nice and it’s not too crowded on weekends.
EGG BABE
Find the small and new place near collingwood. I planed to go to proud Mary but because my curiosity I picked this spot to have a latte. Quite a nice space for catching up but coffee is not flavored. even I choose double shots latte but still quite milky. Emmm,,, not my cup of tea.

Please read comments if you want to know more about the cafe's attitude after I gave 1 star. I was looking forward to their crispy skinned pork belly but it came out as two rolls. The wrap is hard and so so so disappointing was the pork belly. The pork belly skin was not cripsy at all, in fact the skin was chewy and sticky. The burger was okay but I don't think I would go back or recommended it to any of my friends.

Loved the food here. Got the smashed avo dish and it was a bit different to the usual but so delicious! Unfortunately the coffee wasn't that great, a bit burnt. Friendly service. Cool atmosphere. Would come again.
BIRCHER QUEEN 👑
Coffee is really good here! We were able to book a team lunch on a Thursday at 12pm. Service is a little slow. The team were happy with their food however I didn't rate the bircher. It was extremely bland. The consistency was good though! The nut crumble on top was more like a cinnamon sugar. The thick chips were amazing.
Qipao
The decor and ambience was good but food and drink was so so....we were there for the Japanese restaurant diagonally opposite but it was unfortunately closed. Pity this cafe does not have smoked salmon with the egg benedict..
Iris Myandowski
The bar is set pretty high for cafes in Collingwood in a row of multiple cafes in Collingwood to pick from. I'd give this an all round resounding average.
TheWhiteSherpa
Had a quick double espresso and croissant. Croissant lack the crunchiness that fresher hand made products can offer. Service was good although very basic and without smiles. Coffee was suffering the common Melbourne issue of over roasting the beans. Very nice environment with large windows, perfect for people watching on a sunny spring day.
JJ
Well priced and fairly large portion. But Matcha Latte was disappointing... too sweet, not much Matcha in it, almost like drinking a sweetened milk. Place on a Sunday morning was not very crowded
FoodingAroundMelbourne
Very beautiful looking cafe on a quite corner of Collingwood. Staff were friendly and overall breakfast was well priced. I had toast with avocado and the home make potato hash of which the potato hash was AMAZING. Hubby had the fish burrito which he was huge wraps for. <br/>My only complain was in the thickshake I ordered- more of a milkshake that a thickshake and expensive at that.

A great cafe in Collingwood. Super coffee đŸ”â˜• and friendly staff. <br/>Their breakfast roll us really good. We go there regularly.<br/><br/>It has a good atmosphere and location. <br/>

Really cute little cafe, lovely to sit in the sunshine. Just had a coffee and a mocha here, which were both good, no complaints about taste, downside was the under ten dollar surcharge for using eftpos.

After having Japanese food around this area, we need to complete our weekend with a cup of coffee. Coincidentally we found this cafe just around the corner of Peel street and decided to try the coffee. <br/>When we came inside the cafe, we were pretty amazed as you couldn't tell from outside how this cafe looked like.<br/>The interior design was beautiful and minimalist using rustic industrial decor. The ambience and vibe of the cafe was relaxing and the customer service was friendly.<br/><br/>We ordered coffee mocha for $4.00 and cappuccino for $4.00 which was a pretty average price for a coffee around this area, the good thing was they don't charge for additional charge for a mocha as what other places do.<br/><br/>Actually, the mocha and cappuccino had great taste. They were absolutely above the average coffee shop. <br/><br/>We enjoyed the spot and coffee, we'll definitely come back!<br/><br/>** Coffee **<br/>Service : 4.5<br/>Taste : 4.0<br/>Price : 3.5<br/>Speed : 4.0<br/><br/>Location : 29-31 Peel Street, Collingwood, Melbourne<br/>Phone : 03 9417 2881<br/>Website : twobirdscafe.com.au

Very very mediocre brunch food. I had the avo on toast, the toast wasn't crunchy at all, in fact it got a little soggy feel in the middle.<br/><br/>The matcha latte tasted like milk. You can even see it by the colour itself, it's hardly green. Where's my matcha??? Tasted nothing like it!<br/><br/>Service was slow and dreary. Not up to standard.
Ebanful
Good service good food. Lovely eggs benedict well put together and the ham hock was flavoursome and not too salty. the kaffir lime eggs were a delight lovely flavours and the sambal wasn't over powering. Left full and happy.
Mrs Brunch
Rated 3.5 purely for the coffee, which was very average. <br/><br/>Got there at 8am, staff we're still asleep and not in the mood for any chit chat, or food recommendation. <br/><br/>To be fair, the fruit toast was lovely. <br/><br/>Won't be back <br/>
Lin Liu
This cafe provides some breakfast, we got there and ordered a black coffee.<br/>The black coffee is very bitter even after we put a lot of sugar.
Natalie Blum
Great friendly service, sleek fit out, and delicious food. This is my favourite place to go locally. The baristas are fantastic too! What more do you need?

Tiny corner cafe facing the street with paid parking. Omg there is paid parking everywhere here and people who've got one finger on the wheel and the other fingers on the car horn. Bajeezus!<br/><br/>The menu is quite interesting with asian flavours. There is the Korean pancake. The sambal chilli eggs with kaffir, goats cheese and peas, which is what I got. I also got a skim cap. Service is quite quick. Staff are very friendly. <br/><br/>I spent a lot of time chatting to my brunch companion. The staff noticed that my food was untouched and came over to check if everything was ok. Very attentive!<br/><br/>The presentation of my dish was lovely. Once again I had Panko fried crumb coated poached eggs with delicious gold liquid oozing out off the eggs. My brunch companion couldn't keep his hands off my eggs. They were atop a bed of cold peas and goats cheese. I could taste the kaffir which was interesting but I feel lemongrass would have suited better. Couldn't taste the sambal. Had to add pepper and salt to my eggs as the panko coating was bland. The peas were cold. Wish it had been a puree the sunflower seed toast was nice and crunchy. Couldn't taste the sambal. <br/>The coffee though not hot was delicious <br/><br/>The vibe was relaxed and there is free wi fi.

Another exemplary Melbourne cafe ....<br/><br/>Classic corner block, location A+, so parking is at a premium, be ready to pay for some parking ticket for your coffee. <br/>What a set up; natural sunlight, exposed bricks & Bluestone walls and natural, timbery tone throughout and ladies would like the well designed AAA toilets :-)<br/><br/>Coffee is a combo of Code Black coffee beans and La Marzocco, surprisingly their Soy Latte is better than Code Black in house.<br/><br/>Quite a creative and extensive Menu, I had the Good Morning Melbourne, well made and the only suggestion I could make would be a more rustic, home-made Rosti not a deep fried Hash-brown, nothing against Hash-brown, I love $1 McDonald's Hash-brown too.<br/><br/>Very enjoyable spot for brunch, thank you.

This place is quickly becoming a favourite of mine. The space is gorgeous with quirky light fittings, big windows, stone walls and wooden furnishings. I've tried the quinoa porridge and kaffir lime eggs- both delicious. It's the creative details that make the dishes here stand out in an area full of great cafes. Finally, the attentive, smiling staff really make you feel welcome. Keep up the good work!

Great food: delicious and well portioned. Dishes on the menu are interesting and unique enough to distinguish them from the mass of cafes pandering to the brunch crowd. Reasonably priced and decent wait time for meal. A visit is recommended.
Nomnompenguin
Nice coffee. Nice people. Nice vibe. Just generally nice all round really. A welcome break from the hipster establishments all around this area
Tzi-Eu
One of my new favourite cafes for brunch. Seatings are very comfortable and very bright and relaxing.<br/>Coffee is a little bit bland but not too bad. I had tried their matcha latte but was disappointed, too watery. I have to say Starbucks still has the next matcha latte. <br/>The food is up to standard and with generous portions. It's not a wow but no complains either. Menu has got all the dishes that a cafe should offer and I'm happy with that. <br/>Parking can be a bit hard and you will need to pay on weekdays.
Brunching
Wonderful breakfast, all the dishes taste great! Wild mushrooms with poached egg is something you have to try. <br/>Coffee on the other hand, isn't that strong. If you like yours light this would be your place.
Marcus P
Coffee was good but ordered the steak sandwich which was dry and very underwhelming for $18.00. The fit out was very good and the service friendly
Jerzgrl
Tried this place for lunch this week and enjoyed the Morning Glory poached egg breakfast. Delicious food, nice ambiance and welcoming staff. Will be back soon!!
Where Will We Eat
Thought we'd try a new spot today and was pleasantly surprised. Coffee by code black was great, and the food was generous and delicious. A popular spot, but refreshingly quiet inside which made our brunch all the more enjoyable!

Went over the weekend with family for lunch. Staff are friendly and attentive. Steak sandwich very good, kaffir lime eggs very tasty. A little pricey, but I'd happily come back. Nice and bright inside, and some of the best toilets in a Collingwood restaurant!

Nice coffee . Red juice (was ok , I would have loved freshly squeezed don't have it on the menu ) . The meal we both decided to order was lovely . I do Come here quite a bit for a lazy Sunday brunch . Good quality food , consistent, friendly staff . Nice atmosphere. Nice little spot . One of my favs .
Hello. Imnikki
Best part about Two Birds? The spacious and airy interior where you can concentrate on enjoying your brunch and not have to worry about eavesdropper or other people's elbows. Food was enjoyable although I was let down by the total lack of spiciness of the chilli sambal. Side note - I was slightly amused by how rotund most of the supposedly smashed peas were. No biggies; minor issues that did not impede my overall enjoyment of the dish. The mustard in the Morning After gave my partner quite the kick he needed to jump start his day. Beef patty was a bit too well-done and I was playing hide and seek with the bacon but overall still a decent burger. Same goes for the coffee. In an area with saturated with cafes trying to be hip, Two Birds plays it safe and in doing so, will charm you with its simplicity but will not make a mark in your mind.

Two Birds is one of those places I had heard a lot about but never been to. This place has a reputation for coffee so I decided that’s exactly what I was going to zone in on. I had had lunch earlier at Tomboy on Smith St who’s decor was pretty messy and all over the shop. If you are looking for industrial done right, Two Birds is dead on the money. Plenty of wood, brick and heaps of windows to allow the light in.

A bird in the hand!<br/>Classy, trendy and non-pretentious this coffee nest doesn't overplay the 'too cool for school' hand. The latte and piccolo I ordered were both smooth and strong with no bitter aftertaste. The food was served quickly and the range good. This cafe is a great addition to the Collingwood aviary.
Melbourne Foodie
Cauliflower fritters - we could barely taste the Cauliflower in it. One of the fritters had a big piece, but the rest was just slightly mushy. The big breakfast was average.

Had a bad experience a few weeks ago when my meal arrived stone cold. I spoke to the waiter who apologised and took it away. He offered to get me something else but we had waited a long time for the food and I had to be at work so I declined. When we were paying the bill, staff tried to include my meal even though I had sent it back. We had to argue, eventually getting quite angry before they agreed to remove the meal from the bill. Their reasoning was "but you ordered it and it costs $21". Not really relevant when it wasn't up to standard and was taken back to the kitchen without me being able to eat it. If they'd just apologised and taken it off the bill (as you would expect anywhere else) I might have been back to try again, but won't now.

An amazing cafe! I absolutely loved the fried chicken burger, cooked perfectly and was super tasty. The staff were lovely, and I love the floor of this place
Brock P
Good fit out, and service good. Morning After burger was very tasty and the Morning Glory (breakfast with the lot) was a big meal. Only issue is a little expensive - especially the burger that could of done with some sort of side for $18.
Gino
Ordered a simple breakfast. Coffee and toast and even though it was simple I was very impressed. Big slice of toast and a nice coffee. Good layout, I look forward to coming here for lunch.

I’m not a summer person, and currently I’m staying inside on a 37 degrees Celsius day, with the air con on, surrounded by iced drinks. However, I love summer food. I love the refreshing, sweet, lightness of it all. Mango sorbet, cucumber salad, smoothie bowls
. all of it is delicious.
La Tropezienne
Two Birds café came highly recommended by my husband who has enjoyed a number of breakfasts there.  Unfortunately our lunch experience was not so great.  We had burgers and the meat was very dry in both.  My husband had chicken and I had the beef.  The accompanying chips were lovely.  I don't recommend the coffee.  I was, very milky and taste more like tea than coffee.  The chocolate peanut butter cookie was good.

This is a beautifully set out cafe in Collingwood, and if I lived closer it would definitely be my weekend regular. As it is I might just have to make the 40 minute drive to visit it again soon! Little details from the posca pen lighting fixture to the immaculately presented smoothie bowls, you can just tell that the people running this place have put a lot of attention and love into it. <br/><br/>The buttermilk matcha pancakes were definitely the hero of the day for me, they probably sit up there with one of my favourite breakfast dishes ever. <br/><br/>All in all I'd highly recommend adding this place to your brunch spot list!

I was recently invited to a #zomatomeetup brunch at Two Birds Cafe. <br/><br/>I really liked the cafe's interior- it was light and spacious, with lots of windows and light wood. <br/>The staff were really nice, though a little bit unsure with what to do with such a big group of people. (There were 12 of us.) <br/><br/>The food was beautifully presented and creative. <br/><br/>I loved the buttermilk matcha pancakes with berry mascarpone, mango, passionfruit and edible flowers. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, and the fruit was fresh, sweet and delicious. I do think that there could have been more of a matcha kick in the pancakes, though I'm a mega matcha lover. <br/><br/>The cauliflower fritters with pumpkin purée, baby spinach and smoked salmon was awesome. The cauliflower was spiced and tasted great. I could tell it was good for me, but it didn't taste "healthy" if you know what I mean! <br/><br/>We also had summer berry smoothies (which usually come in a bowl, but my stomach isn't Mary Poppins' bag) which had chia seeds and cacao nibs plus some mor delicious fresh fruit. The colours of the smoothie were gorgeous ( purple! ) and it tasted slightly sweet, but mainly of fresh berries. <br/><br/>We also got to try Bistro Morgan's amazing creations- mini doughnuts and brownie cookies. Morgan is a young culinary genius who attends high school while baking these amazing treats and delivering them to cafes ( with the help of his wonderful mother.) His doughnuts are epic - fillings in syringes, fluffy dough balls covered in sugar and awesome toppings such as rosewater and pistachio. His brownie cookies are my fave- try the peppermint crisp! <br/><br/>Over all it was a great visit to Two Birds- the menu is exciting and mouth watering. It is a cafe that I will visit when next in the area. <br/><br/> Disclaimer: all my opinions come from my head, and no body else's. :) <br/><br/>Thanks again to Zomato and Two Birds for the invite.
Out & About
Walking the back streets of collingwood, just down from lazer pig is what is fast becoming my favourite cafe. I have been here twice in a week. Both times the food was exceptional, no filter or cold drip coffee available unfortunately but the short maciato was the perfect match for my avocado & pickled onion brunch. Super delish.

I have to admit that we were on the way to SOJO when we stumbled onto Two Birds Café which we had heard of. After perusing the menu we decided to give it a go and really enjoyed it. An excellent fit out and pleasant staff. The coffee was good and the two meals, Burcher muesli and bacon and avocado were tasty and a good size. We look forward to nestling into Two Birds again.
Ashish Pandey
Tasty brunch with fantastic service! We ordered a really delicious buttered mushrooms and some very different baked eggs. The waitress was wonderfully helpful in matching these choices to the appropriate extra sides and the service in general was very friendly. The blueberry thickshake (it was more of a milkshake) was really yummy too. The food came out very quickly and it was a very clean cafe with great atmosphere. I'll be coming back when I'm in the area. $50 for 2 people

As a local of 7 years, I can confidently say this is a weak entrant into the local cafe market.<br/>The first time we visited, I noticed the coffee was burnt and watery and the menu was fairly boring.<br/>But my girlfriend liked her meal so we returned a few more times to give it a chance.<br/>Today I tried the Baked Eggs. Disappointingly, a meal that requires bread to eat it (it's basically thickened sauce outside of the eggs) came with no bread.<br/>When I asked for bread, I got a single small piece. Then I requested another.<br/>When it came to paying the bill, they had charged us about $8 extra for those pieces of bread.<br/>Considering every other cafe in the area offers a similar menu and the baked eggs always come with bread, I was understandably annoyed.<br/>The ambience and set up are great but you would be much better off walking around the corner to South Of Johnson.<br/>We certainly will be from now on.
Carol Sheldon
Nice find tucked away in Peel street, quite close to SOJO cafe. Not madly busy, plenty of seating options inside and out. We chose the corner of the communal table. Pleasant staff, not overly friendly but efficient as was the kitchen, our meals were out to us amazingly quick. Tasty meals and very nice coffee, fairly sure they were using Code Black beans ❀ If you are in the area and want to avoid the crush of nearby cafes such as Proud Mary & South of Johnston, pop into Two Birds. 😊

Excellent coffee+ interesting menu+ yummy food + friendly staff + cool deco = best cafe in town !! just love it....went there three times in a week. Highly recommended!

Excellent cafe in Collingwood - particularly now they have expanded the site. Great selection of breakfast/brunch fare. I had the Tomatoes + Mozzarella on toast which was delicious. The pancetta in the dish was crispy and salty - just the way I like it! My colleague had the pork belly gua bao. The pork belly was so tender but still had a crispy crackle. The kimchi that accompanied the dish was wonderful and spicy. Will definitely return.

New favourite!!!!!!!!!! Visited Two Birds over the sunny weekend and was pleasantly surprised - food and coffee were on point, and staff were really down-to-earth, just real! My partner and I ordered the Good Morning brekky and the Tomatoes and Mozzarella dish and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Definitely want to come back for the Pork Belly Bao featuring Kimchi at some point which I have also heard good things about.<br/>Can't forget the fresh flowers which were such a nice touch and added to the relaxing atmosphere. Can definitely see myself frequenting in the summer for brunch and iced coffee, soaking up the sun and all the news updates alike...... Highly recommend.
Sophie Dawson
Really interesting menu with good range of options from sandwich and salad to Dal fritters and crumbed eggs. Had the dal fritters with cauliflower and spicy relish and it was really good. The fritters were light and well balanced with the salad and cauliflower. Will definitely go back again. Really liked the interior design as well for good atmosphere.

Incredibly disappointing. I have NEVER sent a meal back in my life but when I received one small<br/>Slice of toast with brown mashed avocado on it for $16.50 to be told 'that's just what avocado looks like it's brown and green' then to hear them bitching about me in the kitchen. Shit attitude from the staff. Just shit. This was my fourth visit there since it opened 6 weeks ago. Never again. Ugh.
Kathryn
Went there for the first time today and was very impressed by all aspects of this place. My soy chai was so creamy and delicious, I was also very impressed to see they had 3 fully vegan items on the menu. My partner had the pork belly bao and it looked spectacular. Love the feel of the place, super open, light and airy. The staff @were friendly too. Loved it, highly recommend. Excited to go back for breakfast.
Theweekendbrunchclub
Another great local cafe for work lunch breaks! This is a perfect cafe for a group of people. At 1.15pm, there was no issues getting a table for 7. The decor and atmosphere was really modern and nice. It’s a beautiful little building hidden just down Peel street. A variety of dishes were ordered from the quinoa salad, beef burger, thyme butter mushroom dish, Tomato and Mozzarella on toast and the Gateaux Piment.
Ayam
It was really nice to have lunch at this cafe. The staff was very friendly and very kind. The food was also good. I'm sure I'll go to the cafe again.

A cafe worth coming back to. <br/><br/>Came here on a bright and sunny Saturday. It was nice sitting by the side of the tall glass windows that opened widely to the outside. The place is tucked away from the hustle and bustle; away from the busy Smith street. Suddenly, you don't feel rushed anymore. <br/><br/>I ordered the Thyme Buttered Mixed Mushrooms, a vegan option by the way, and it was yum as. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the place features Asian fusion. <br/><br/>Sooo happy!!!
Pan Yu
Five star food and service! The selection of the coffee beans is truly came from a people who knows and love coffee. Best cafe in the neighbourhood, love it!

I did really like this place and left a great review, but my last visit was appalling. My friend and I ordered two smoothies (berry) and when we took our first sips, we almost spat them out. They were tart and tasted off. We couldn't get anyone to come over, so I went up to the counter to let the waiter know. He seemed genuinely surprised when I told him how they tasted, and told me "they were freshly made this morning." Seriously? A berry smoothie made in the morning is still being served at 3pm? Unacceptable. At around $8 per smoothie, they should definitely be made fresh to order! So disappointing.
Claire
This place is our new local. Delicious coffee! Great atmosphere since the refurbishment. We've always been pleased with the food and service too.
Crdav1
We love this place and come here all the time. Coffee is really good, friendly staff and beautiful bright space. Good place for meetings too.
Ryan Harris
I liked the fit out from the outside, it looked really cool, the posca pen light fixture was a bit strange though. We had to wait for a table because it isn't a place you can bring large* groups (any group bigger than four), the fit out inside doesn't allow for it. We had a number of issues with incorrect orders, including our soy flat whites being put through without soy, and the food missing items we specified and as such. It just missed the mark in a neighbourhood filled with extremely good breakfast places, and I won't be going back.
Sue
With a selection of all day breakfast, breads and spreads, sides, lunch and sweets, there's bound to be something on the menu for everyone. Anything with mushrooms in the title has me sold so we didn't hesitate to order the Thyme Buttered Mixed Mushrooms. Big breakfasts are also a must-try so we also ordered the 'Good Morning!'. I loved the tarragon crostini that accompanied the mushrooms - perfectly grilled and in combination with the gremolata was delicious. The big breakfast was everything that it should be, including poached eggs, bacon, sausage, hash, tomatoes and (more!) mushrooms. My only suggestion for improvement would be that if the food came out a little hotter, it would have been spot on. The two dishes together were perfect to share and made for a very hearty start to the morning.

Two Birds Cafe is everything you could want from a cafe: the vibe is chic, the coffee flavoursome, staff friendly and the food sensational. With so many cafes popping up these days its hard to find a menu that really stands out, but Two Birds seemed to have pulled this feat off with remarkable ease. Kafir lime eggs for instance, an absolutely killer combination, is the unique invention of the head chef.  All the breaky classics, such as thyme buttered mushrooms, avocado on toast, are presented with fine attention to detail and careful pairing of flavours. In a nutshell, the place is great. Definitely worth checking out.
Megan Linton
A group of work colleagues and I went to Two Birds for lunch and we were all unanimous with our praise! Excellent menu that completely met expectation (and some). We enjoyed that there was an all day breakfast and I can highly recommend the duck confit toasted sandwich. They also make excellent coffee and chai lattes! Glad to have a solid lunch spot off the hustle of Smith St. Highly recommended!

Hey lovely people at Two Birds. <br/><br/>As a long term local resident - I just wanted to say congratulations on your reopening with the bigger and much better Two Birds 2.0! Your expansion really looks great and I look forward to spending many mornings reading the paper there over my coffee.<br/><br/>But if I could suggest one thing - your multi coloured light that you've positioned over the communal table at the front - get rid of it! It really lets your renovation down. As a professional designer, I think most of your renovation looks great, but that fixture really cheapens your offering. I only say this because the area is very design centric and I want your business to succeed.<br/><br/>All the best with your re-opening.<br/><br/>Brian.

Best coffee in Collingwood. Having lived in Collingwood for years and still yet to uncover many of the hidden treasures in Collingwood's cafe scene, I enjoyed the best coffee I had in years in this small cafe on Peel Street that just happened to randomly walk into. Will definitely be recommending this place to friends though I think it can fit many people. Love the coffee! They have wraps which looked very tempting too.

Thumbs Down for Coffee. Wandered in today in search of a great coffee (surprisingly hard to find in this area!) and walked out very disappointed. They don't even use Bonsoy- I thought that would've been a cardinal rule around the Collingwood/Fitzroy area?<br/><br/>I guess they missed the memo... Definitely missed the mark.

Tried the place out the other day. Was pleasantly surprised, we be coming back when I'm in the neighbourhood
