Review The Craft & Co - Collingwood

David Ratten
Rhiannon and the team were enthusiastic and so helpful in planning and running our Wedding. She felt like a part of the bridal party, with great suggestions and ensuring the flow of the day was exactly what we were after. The setup for the day looked great, with the upstairs area transformed to just how we wanted it. The food was delicious, with portions plenty big enough for all our guests. We can't wait to come back for our anniversaries!

We had our wedding held at the Craft and Co. In the lead up the team were professional, punctual and flexible in accommodating our budget and requirements as we were looking to have a relaxed wedding that removed a lot of 'traditions'. They were accommodating of our external vendors and everything ran EXTREMELY smoothly on the day. We've had so many comments from our guests on the quality and quantity of food, as well as the vast drink options available under the drinks package 'I want to try them all!!' and the professional service from all staff. Would 100% recommend to anyone organising a wedding if you want a one-stop shop to ease the pressure of planning your big day, the Craft and Co is THE place to go.

I can't express how amazing this place is. We love it so much we got married here twice! Originally we had planned our wedding here, then lockdown happened and the team were incredibly flexible and made us so relaxed about moving everything around. So much so, we decided to have a small elopement ceremony with immediate family here in November 2021. The best day of our lives, everything ran so smoothly and had nothing but compliments. Then we had our big original planned wedding on the 5th of Feb 2022. This team seriously go above and beyond. They think of every little detail, they make you feel so relaxed and everything just went perfectly. Great communication, impeccable service. And the food! Holy moly the food is to die for (and their gin) so many compliments from all our guests! So from the bottom of our hearts we thankyou guys, we feel part of your family now! Thankyou Rhiannon, Gav, chef and all the staff! If you're looking for a fun, relaxed wedding with amazing food and drinks (and plenty of it) look no further! -Jess and Anthony

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Craft & Co this month and we couldn’t be happier with the venue and the staff! We had to reschedule multiple times due to covid and they were so flexible in arranging a new date. The food and drink on the night was amazing and there was so much to go around. Gavin and the team on the day were so attentive and genuinely wanted to make sure everything went smoothly. We just had the most perfect day and can’t thank Craft & Co enough!!

Focaccia was friggin amazing! Highly recommend! Place has great service, vibe, and great, well-presented food.

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Craft & Co (Friday Feb 4th) and it was THE BEST. We could not recommend the venue more highly! Covid has made planning anything difficult, let alone a wedding, but Rhiannon and Gavin were amazing. They were endlessly understanding, flexible and compassionate about our needs. The venue itself was gorgeous, and the food was delicious. We also had so many comments on the drinks list - what seems like a basic beer, wine, soft drink menu is actually a really extensive and interesting list of in house brewed beer and loads of different wine varietals. On the day, my hubby and I were made to feel really special by the whole team with everyone looking out for our needs. No request was too much and we were never without a drink in hand. Thank you to the whole team at The Craft & Co for making our special day absolutely perfect! Sarah + Justin

Can’t believe i hadn’t come here earlier - really loved everything about Craft & Co! We were feeling a G&T to go with a beautiful Sunday in Fitzroy, so ducked in here and found a table with plenty of sunlight & atmosphere. We ordered the London dry with the Gin tasting paddle. The London dry was crisp & smooth, and had nice hints of mint & lemon. The paddle was fun to do, and each gin had its own flavour & feel. I liked the Collingwood dry the most, but overall the whole thing was good value! The low key highlight of our time though, was the beautiful focaccia bread that was so good that ordered 3 rounds of it 😅 we also ordered the smoked cashew & pumpkin dip that goes with the focaccia bread, and that was unreal - really good value too. Can’t wait to come back here & bring some mates!

I attended a wedding at The Craft & Co last month. It was a beautiful place for both the ceremony and reception. The food was excellent and very enjoyable. The staff were great, so attentive and friendly. Thanks very much for having us.
Good Food Good Mood
We attended a wedding at Craft and Co tonight which was a nice venue serving some decent food. Grazing style boards were displayed post ceremony along with four types of canapés although some was a little difficult to eat given there were large pieces of fruit (I’m definitely not shoving a huge watermelon wedge into a red lip).Food wise we had alternating entrees and shared mains. There was definitely sufficient food here (which isn’t always the case with sharing style menus) and the mains were actually more generous than an individually plated dish would have been. Staff were fun and friendly too
Hello. Imnikki
$12 for wagyu burger and chips? Take my money! This amazing deal is available on Thursdays, and is definitely worth checking out. Soft brioche bun, juicy and meaty beef patty, and the most amazing crunchy hand cut chips ever, this is fantastic value for money for such a delicious meal.<br/><br/>If burger is not your thing, then come for the $10 wood-fired pizza every Wednesday or $1 wings every Friday after 5pm. With a great selection of beers and cocktails to go with your meal, The Craft & Co will surely keep your tummy and wallet happy.

Loved its informality and layout where, by sitting in a different part of the layout, you would have a different dining/drinking experience.<br/>Went for a quick bite to eat and drink so a started of whitebait (delicious) and a couple of pizzas accompanied by a G&T as a starter followed by a bottle of Shiraz (bottled in their own vineyard on the edge of the city) was perfect. And the choices of gin are excellent! <br/>Pizzas are incredibly tasty but they're not large and they go for quality of topping rather than quantity. So be warned if you're hungry and used to 25 cm diameter pizzas!<br/>We'll certainly be heading back either as just the two of us or a small group.<br/> <br/>Second visit - more pizza, excellent beer-battered chips and a gin tasting paddle - 3 gins, tonic, ice and a side of (optional) salumi for $25 (or $20 without side).

I’m going to start this review by stating that I would email this feedback directly to Craft and Co but the two times I emailed them (once to ask about what the gluten free items were on the menu and once to confirm my booking), they never replied and I had to chase them up on Facebook messenger for a response. <br/>Four of us attended Craft and Co yesterday for Father’s Day lunch, which was a set menu for $55pp. My parents arrived for the 1pm booking, were seated and my dad got his free beer. My sister and I were ten minutes late. Downstairs was packed so they’d set up multiple tables in what appeared to be the upstairs function room, this is where we were seated.<br/>Both upstairs and downstairs was a guy singing and playing guitar - the guy we had upstairs was great. <br/>My sister is wheat and pork intolerant, so she advised the waitress who found out what she could eat - only the green salad from entrees, beef from the mains and a bowl of ice cream for dessert (which was from the kids menu). So we placed our orders and got our drinks, this was at about 1:15pm.<br/>Our entrees arrived at 2:30pm. Keep in mind, two of us got the green salad and one the cheese platter (these are all cold, no cooking required). My poor dad had ordered the prawns and we had to chase up where his was - he got the prawns at about 2:45pm.<br/>Our mains arrived at 3:30pm.<br/>My stepmum had the seafood gumbo, which was more like a soup - she ate most of it but it was incredibly salty.<br/>My sister and I had the beef rilette which was a small beef steak (cooked well, I enjoyed that bit) which was on pulled beef, had a cheesy potato thing and what was meant to be sautéed greens.<br/>The cheesy potato was about 90% cheese, 10% very finely sliced potato. We both only ate a couple of mouthfuls as it was so rich from all the cheese. <br/>The sautéed greens were actually sautéed mushrooms and spinach plus bacon - bacon, which was served to my pork-intolerant sister, even though she’d advised them this before ordering.<br/>The veggies and pulled beef were so salty that they were inedible. <br/>The worst though was my poor dad’s meal - described as ‘leg quarter of duck, brioche pain perdu with blackberry jam’.<br/>Imagine a dried out, unseasoned leg of duck served with what looked like two pieces of French toast cooked by a kid for Father’s Day brekky. My dad barely managed to eat the duck, it was so dry and the French toast with jam???<br/>The waitress (who looked dead on her feet and like she was on the verge of tears) realised something was wrong when clearing our plates. She gave us all a free drink as an apology for the inedible meals and took my sister’s meal off the bill as she felt so bad about there being bacon in her meal.<br/>We then waited another 40 minutes for dessert, then the waitress came around saying there’d been an issue with the dockets and desserts hadn’t gone through so came to check what we’d ordered.<br/>The two desserts on the menu were cheesecake and tiramisu - both desserts they would’ve had pre-prepared and could’ve been served within minutes, but they took 45 minutes!!!<br/>And thank god they did give my sister’s meal for free because in 2019, how is the only gf dessert option a kids bowl of vanilla ice cream?!<br/>The manager was wandering around upstairs and at no point did he apologise to anyone for the delays, even when we paid our bill. A table of 10+ people next to us left, I’m not even sure they got their entrees.<br/>It was very clear that rather than capping their bookings, hiring more staff for the day or organising seating times, the management at Craft and Co were greedy and just accepted all the bookings they got and over committed themselves, rather than giving their customers a pleasant, well organised day.<br/>I am only giving two stars rather than one because I feel bad for the clearly over worked staff. <br/>I absolutely do not recommend Craft and Co, I wish we’d left and gone elsewhere.

On a great corner location in hip Collingwood, The Craft and Co is a cool place that delivers good food and friendly service. A huge open space with lots of room to move, plenty of natural light and a good vibe, we've been here for dinner several times and have always found the food to be good quality.<br/><br/>Staff are friendly and chatty, the drinks list is decent and the menu has some great choices; whether you want sonething casual, or something a little more substantial. I love the urban style fit out and the relaxed atmosphere encourages you to linger and enjoy yourself.

Unfortunately my experience was extremely negative. I visited the venue for a quick drink with a friend around 9pm on Wednesday 19 June. There were four staff around, however, none acknowledged me even after them seeing me waiting at the bar counter, which was empty. I was highly recommended this place by a mate, but will not visit again after this type of treatment by 4 staff members who all saw me and continue talking to their colleagues ( two at the kitchen area) or whatever they were doing.

Craft & Co less than expected.<br/>Saturday night in Collingwood there is no shortage of places for dinner. We decided to try Craft & Co for the first time. We both ordered the wagyu beef burger and our food was ready quite quickly. To say we were disappointed with what was brought to the table is an understatement. First thought, where are my chips?? Not that the burger was bad, it was ok, and fair enough the menu doesn’t state ‘served with chips’ but for $24 I expected more, in particular a side of chips of some sort. $24 for a lonely burger is an absolute outrage. I know it’s “wagyu beef” and I’m always happy to pay a premium for quality food but please, we are not eating in a hatted restaurant and this was far from being worth the money. This is first time I’ve ever written a bad review for anywhere but I just felt this needed to be said. Unfortunately I can’t see myself going back anytime soon for a meal.

Free beer Friday! Gin market! Is there heaven on earth? And I can walk there. This is a fantastic place, lots of special events. They also sell some great small goods. I have had the food in the past it was good but certainly highlights are the various beers and spirits they produce on site.
Savvy And Lifestyle
Decided to give this place another go. Nice venue and very rustic with a great atmosphere. Centrally located in the strip of Collingwood. Cheese here is quite nice and outstanding along with their drinks. Waiters are quite nice.
Mini Mooi
Friendly staff but bit slow service. This place is very spacey and had a great atmosphere. We had margherita pizza, king george whiting, potato gnocchi, pork pizza, mushroom pizza. All the meal portion was very small for the price. Sadly no one had beer as it was very cold night.
Amysyder
Came here twice for the free keg Friday they held during the summer! Such a fabulous idea. The place had a great atmosphere, with very friendly staff! The beer itself was good, which we complemented with some nibbles which were delicious, though I do think there chips are over priced. There was a bakery there too, producing a beautiful fresh bread smell! Definitely want to come back here again to have a proper meal!

Beautiful restaurant. <br/>The food was amazing and fresh. <br/>The service was also amazing. <br/>The lunch time ambiance was pretty cool. Definitely need to try it out during dinner time.

The Craft & Co have a great range of craft beers all produced on site. They have tasting floats for the undecided where you can choose between 3 or 6 samples to help you make up your mind. I did this and was impressed with the range. The standout for me was the coffee infused Mocha ESB which was full flavoured without being too hoppy.<br/><br/>We turned up and on Fridays they offer a keg of beer for free from 5pm until it’s gone... pot sized drinks... fortunately we chose a relatively quiet night so they still had<br/><br/>There was Christmas function upstairs so we got the benefit of hearing a live band throughout the evening and really enjoyed the space. We got a table position right near the beer tanks and got to observe the operations. <br/><br/>Food was also interesting and varied. There were 6 of us so we shared a chips, croquettes, a couple of pizzas, slow cooked lamb, duck pasta, vegetarian gnocchi and a couple of serves of fried chicken. Perhaps a little over ordering went down but we wanted to try as much as we could. For me the standout dishes were the slow cooked lamb and the duck pappardelle pasta. <br/><br/>There were plenty of vegetarian option including 3 pizzas, gnocchi and other entrees.
Mistermister
Very representative of the local area. Gin distillery and beers. Bar and deli in one. Service was friendly but a bit slow to take orders. Live music upstairs for event made it very unpleasant as it was just too loud. The pasta was delicious - they make their own. Pizza was average. Burgers looked great! Basic wine list
Comfy Chairs
More than meets the eye. Awesome selection of beer and cocktails. Definitely recommend the unique take on the bloody spicy Mary - not to be missed. As you work your way through the beer selection have a look for the eye popping gin on display. Have had lunch here as well and the produce was fresh and tasty but highlight for me was the selection of cheeses to buy and take home to enjoy. Yum.

Wow! What a difference time makes. Came here about a year ago and the coffee was average. But today my coffee was creamy and delicious. Good work Craft, keep it up.

“Incorporating a brewery, distillery, winery, eatery, bar, cheese & meat rooms, coffee roaster & cellar door across two sites, there’s always things to eat, drink, make, learn or shop for at The Craft & Co!”. It seems like a lot to cram into one sentence, but I can honestly vouch for their food, booze, and delightful cheeses!!!

Went here for a mates birthday they said they would charge him $10 per person if people didn't turn up seriously... food was ok pork was nice but for $55 a head tiny portions it's a bit of a rip off also seating wasn't very good they booked for 16 and we barely could fit on the tables they provided we asked if they could add another table and all they did was grabbed a few chairs so all in all wasn't the best experience..
A_waterhouse
Had a great time here on our wedding night. Beautiful space. Good value for money for a function. Everyone seemed to have a really good time
Kate
Had a really pleasant lunch experience with my parents here. It was cool and windy outside but toasty and cosy inside, and nice and open, with table and chairs being nicely spaced from one another. I had a cheese croquette and entree serve of the duck pappardelle with lemon, thyme and parmesan. Both lovely. My only complaint was the pappardelle was a bit clumped in parts. Husband enjoyed his steak sandwich, mum and dad enjoyed their mushroom gnocchi. Prices reasonable. We'll return.

Venue: 5/5<br/>Damn! I lovee the atmosphere. I like how the whole venue smells like coffee (because there was coffee being brewed on the side) Love the decor and accessories on the walls! <br/><br/>Food: 3/5 <br/>The menu is very restricted.. I wish there were more things to choose from.. my favorites were the cheese croquettes! The chips from there were quite plain.. the pork belly was too oily.. lamb ribs were very tender but barely seasoned.. ricotta donuts were yummy but could be improved. <br/><br/>Service: 5/5 <br/>All fine!
@twogoodtoresist
The ambience and set up of craft and co is amazing! Almost like a behind the scenes taste of the restaurant operation with brewery and cheese rooms open for all to see. They make a lot of their produce on site which is evident in the quality and taste of their dishes and drinks. Wine is beautiful, cider is tasty. We loved the deli plate as a true taste of what craft and co does best! The halloumi and calamari entrees were to die for- tantalising and melt in your mouth quality! The mushroom and ricotta gnocchi was some of the freshest we've had. Service is outstanding and overall vibe of the restaurant is breathtaking. A great option for a function (upstairs) too. They also offer master classes!
Theycallmemaggie
With a micro-brewery, distillery, winery, coffee roaster, and cheese and meat rooms under the one roof, there's a range of different classes and something for everyone. And if you don't like to cook, eating is most definitely an option, with an eatery, cafe, bar and store also present on site.

We had our wedding upstairs at Craft & Co, both ceremony and reception. The service we received was excellent from the moment we first went to view the venue, through all the planning stages to the wedding day and even the follow up. So many of our guests have commented how much they loved the venue and the food, and the staff were just amazing. There really was nothing to fault. A special thank you to Hass and Tarsha, we had such a great day.

Went to the craft and co last night after a recommendation from a friend.<br/>The space is great and inviting and we were given a little crash course in beer making and were explained the different characteristics on each need on offer by our lovely waiter.<br/>The menu had so many things I wanted to try however we landed on calamari with peas which was lovely, it tasted very fresh and flavoursome. We then had kofta balls which were also very tasty. The standout dish of the night was the beef brisket OMG this was Devine. The meat basically melts in your mouth and the waiter had recommended a great Pinot noir to match with my meal. I really cannot fault craft and co, it is a local gem which focuses on local ingredients and a lot of he ingredients have been cured, marinated , and created in house. Staff were very attentive and we left feeling satisfied and can't wait to return.
Vasiliky Grillakis
Terrible service. We ordered the fish and chips, two pieces of burned battered fish came out. Waitress was pretty rude about it, took it back, and only got one piece of fish back. Quite clearly the batter had just been taken off the fish, and only one given back. Then when we went to pay, they said they dont split bills because they are too busy. There was only one other table sitting in the whole venue and they wernt waiting to pay. There was only five of us on the table and it was just one meal and one drink per person. Hardly difficult to manage. Seriously rude. Never going back. The food was nothing to write home about.
Kathleen Doherty
A nice place, but I think it'd be better for the deli &/ breakfast and lunch, rather than as a dinner location. Limited menu which didn't seem to really highlight the amazing products they have. The pizzas were tasty, and the croquettes were nice but were very small for the price ($4 for about an inch, maybe inch & a half!).<br/><br/>The home-brewed beer and gin were both really nice & the staff were very attentive and friendly. <br/><br/>Would be a great place to grab stuff for a picnic or dinner party, or to hold a cocktail function upstairs.
Lil Miss Vegan
Came here for a function and they were told well in advance there was a vegan. Craft and Co charged the same amount for me as other guests. Everyone else got some starters, i got nothing. Finally complained to a waiter so they bring me a meal with an egg on top! Sent it back and pretty sure they just gave me back the same salad without the egg. Next up was a tasteless pizza just dough and tomato paste straight out of the tin as per my photo! How about some veggies? Olives, mushrooms, capsicum? Again we had to complain, and the manager seemed to be here now and he was very helpful and apologetic at this stage. He made sure I got another pizza full of veggies, then also got a pearl barley pumpkin risotto which was nice. The actual place is really cool but they need to work on everything else. Even the staff only showed a smile once the manager arrived. I don't like complaining and don't make a big fuss normally but when the host is paying the same amount for me as everyone else that's when my blood boils and they also had weeks to prepare.<br/>
Melb Eating
Home and away in cafe form. Weirdly plain jane menu of 6 breakfast items- no veggie options, no interest, no reason to come back. Thankfully, you won't be stuck for other choices in collingwood!

Obviously a lot of money has been thrown at this venture and it looks good. However, I was offended. I don't dress for the occasion. I am who I am and expect to be treated as an equal, whether I be in a TAB venue, 3-hat restaurant  or hipster bar.  But these guys failed...<br/><br/>1) I occupied an outside table as my wife ordered at the bar.<br/>2) The waiter assumed I was some sort of loser and advised I order a drink or leave.<br/>3) The wife eventually surfaces with our drinks, having been ignored in favour of the regulars.<br/>4) The friends we were waiting for experienced the same service at the bar.<br/><br/>Sorry. Let down by the staff.
Joel Gill
My friends had their engagement party here. Really nice setup with great service. They make their own cheese, have their own delicatessen, and serve an array of nice beverages. I couldn't think of a better place for my friends to have their party.
Hung Dong Long
Great fitout but ridiculously bad management. Walking in to this place is a case study for what not to do in a retail/ service business. Staff seem offended by the prospect of serving customers. Some genius put the wine section in the windows that get the most sun, but with no filters. Markups are insulting. Some great quality produce but with so many faults to the experience, I'm looking forward to the day that someone takes it over and makes it what it should be
Nicholas
A really nice fit out, and good locally sourced beers, wine and food. The only thing letting this place down is the service, it was pretty terrible. Won't be in any rush to go back.
Andrea Breen
I really love there is so much going on.  The food is great and I love the Australian deli products. I have done the wine flights and like the idea of mix match meats & cheeses. I wish the coffee was better....It is not strong enough.  Maybe Genovese Coffee would be a good local choice.
This Diner Is Anonymous
This place does great food. It's surprisingly affordable, and I always come here for fresh cheese and rolls instead of Woolies down the road. The coffee is good but not great, though I'm keen to persevere in case it's just been a couple of off days. Yesterday I branched out from the picnic foodstuffs and got brunch, which was nice. An extra serve of sourdough with the scrambled eggs would be good, as it only comes with one slice and the one I got was slightly charred. The smoked bacon was delicious. My friend was in considerable pain when he realised there was dill in his avocado brioche. His reaction to the herb is priceless, but a heads up on the menu would be ideal as he despises the stuff. All in all, a great local and for deli items, an absolute must visit.

A great ambience and a wonderful location for the Australian distillers awards. Lovely morsels to eat, drinks were amazing and you can purchase food to go. Tram route 86 stop 20 $170 including drinks.

Really love the space they have created in this cafe / restaurant, well thought out and not sitting on top of each other.<br/>Food is fresh and local and the staff are very attentive.

That's The Craft & Co. mantra. Recently opened at the end of our street we decided to pop in for lunch. And I love all those things so to find them all under one roof, well it should be Heaven!. It's a huge space with an upstairs retail outlet full of gourmet goodies as well as space to make cheese, charcuterie pizza. And then downstairs is the microbrewery, deli counter and I think even a distillery as well as coffee outlet. There are tables scattered throughout as well as a covered courtyard and some street tables too. Phew - there's definitely a lot going on!
David Parr
Delicious food and really attentive service, the paired salumi plate was awesome.. Waitress kept stealing my wine glasses when they had just that last little bit left.. It hurt me so they lose .5

Had Valentine's Day dinner here tonight, the quality of the food was outstanding very unique diverse menu. A mixed deli cafe inspired venue as well as locally sourced products! <br/>Not to mention the waitresses were absolutely attentive, informative and friendly.<br/>Side note coffee was fantastic!!!

With so many restaurants and cafes opening these days, sometimes it’s not just enough to serve food. Craft & Co. in Collingwood isn’t just a restaurant, but having taken over a huge double storey warehouse on Smith Street, they’ve squeezed in a microbrewery, micro coffee roaster, distillery, bakery, room for meat curing and retail space featuring local quality products and produce to also bring home.
Binula
Had an early morning breakfast here after night shift and had a great time! The cafe itself is spacious and neat and the staff are great! <br/><br/>I had the chorizo simmered in tomato which was delicious! The baked dish was full of flavour which a decent amount of chorizo balanced perfectly with the right amount of cheese and tomato. <br/><br/>The thing that makes this place stand out though is their selection of craft beers - a must try! Will definitely be going back!

Visited for dinner on a Friday and had no issues finding a table. Between 2 of us we ordered the Ashgrove Cloth Mature Chedder, Sopressa, Navaro and Wagyu. These were all very delicious for a light start. We then moved onto the arancini balls and pea croquettes. The arancini balls were absolutely delicious! The pea croquettes were tasty as well but definitely not the best I've had. We also ordered the Red pizza and a side of the chips and aioli. The pizza was very good. Unfortunately the chips were really quite average and tasted like frozen chips that I could buy from Coles.<br/><br/>The service was very good. However, it seemed that sometimes the waiter didn't understand us. In one instance, we asked for some tomato sauce to go with the chips. The waiter informed us that they only had tomato relish. When we asked if we could have that, he said "no" because they only have tomato relish. When he finally understood he went to get some only to tell us that they don't have any.<br/><br/>We also tried their Pilsner and Pale Ale. These were also fairly ordinary. <br/><br/>Overall we were very happy with our meal and the service was pretty good too.
Out And About
Blown away! Not only do they roast coffee, distill spirits, bake their own bread, make their own cheese, make their own salami and make their own pasta, they'll teach you how to do it running education classes.<br/>Opened only on 1 Dec 2015, The Craft & Co have beautifully renovated this magnificent old warehouse. <br/>Coming here felt like going to an Italian gustatory Disneyland, a happy place filled with artisans who will take you on ride after ride of sensory pleasure taking great care and overlaying everything with deep personal ownership; the very definition of artisan.
Paulbroady21
What an amazing concept and so very traditional right here in Melbourne !!!! <br/>I'll be back and cant wait to show this to my friends and family.<br/>LOVEiT !!!

In the city from out of town for the weekend I was looking forward to breakfast here after a recommendation from friends. The staff were attentive without smothering us and accommodating when our party grew in number. The food was delicious - 6 different dishes and everyone of them a winner. I have a 10yr old who fancies herself as a foodie and she declared the scrambled eggs as possibly the best ever. The coffee came exactly as ordered and at the right temperature - no lip scalding here. Once we had eaten we got a chance to wander around the venue and talk to the staff about the retail produce. The Craft and Co is certainly an ambitious project, yet it also seems to be so obvious. The team behind it have created something special I think and my only complaint about today's visit was having to leave and not spending the rest of the day in the inviting outdoor area eating smallgoods and exploring the drinks list. Oh well, something to look forward to next time.

We had a very enjoyable breakfast at The Craft and Co. Dining out with coeliac children is difficult however there were many delicious gluten free options (the buckwheat pancakes were a winner) and the restaurant staff were very knowledgeable with the care needed to avoid gluten cross contamination. It is a place we will confidently come back to for great gluten free food knowing that we will be looked after. Thank you!!

We had such a great time at the craft & co last night. We had the green pizza and a platter of wagyu beef and sheeps cheese and I tried both the stout and craft & co beer on tap. All we can say is spot on ! Service was attentive and the commitment to locally made produce is commendable. We really enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this place.
Shenaja Vardari
This restaurant was highly enjoyable as the service was quick and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was very light and happy and the way the overall restaurant was set up really gave it a modern and quirky feel. I spent a wonderful morning with my father here. Thanks a lot guys, will be back!

An experience I would Highly recommend....With expectations of good food and good craft beer, Craft and Co did not disappoint. I was high impressed with the all aspects of it especially since it has just opened. The service was very good, with a great and meet at the front that followed through the rest of the night. The food was of a high standard which I expected since Dom Marzano is the head of the kitchen. I highly recommend the Red pizza. They also had a great selection of craft beers that you don't find everywhere, this just added to intrigue of the experience and one that left me trying different ones.Overall I was very happy with everything on the night and can definitely see this as my regular Friday afternoon/night venue.I am also looking forward to learning more about food, at the different courses that they mentioned they will be running...

Really enjoyed our first time at this new restaurant & bar. Great modern, industrial decor with in-house brewery, cheese room & open kitchen. Food was excellent - loved the locally sourced produce. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly.

Fab concept- loved the central kitchen, deli and bar. Food was delicious, finished lunch with ice-cream- the kids loved the ricotta one, hubby and I loved the whiskey and coffee flavours- the hops and honey flavour may be an acquired taste (beer enthusiasts would love it). Staff were friendly and helpful in choosing from the large selection of cheese and cured meats paired with drinks. Looking forward to going back and trying the beer garden.

Had a meal here last night with some friends and was very impressed. From the moment we walked in the door the staff were wecolming and the place had a great feel with its industrial decor. We had the selection of cured meats & cheeses to start with, so fresh and yummy, aranchi balls were amazing and my Snapper for main was mouth watering and cooked to perfection! Finished off with the ricotta cannoli & doughnuts....to die for!<br/>I love that all the produce is locally sourced and a retail shop to buy these products as well. All in all a great concept and l will definitely be returning.👍

Now here's a fantastic concept. You spend a fortune renovating a near derelict building in super-trendy Collingwood, you make your produce in house and you take it seriously; no skimping, you do it well.<br/>You employ a cast of thousands to front house and you sit back and wait for it to go psycho.  <br/>It's an attic style restaurant, all light and space, positively screaming out ' love it'. It feels right.<br/>Until you order. One word. Shambles. <br/>First comes one main. All 3 of us eventually attack it like Pearl Harbour as no other food follows. Meanwhile the many waiting staff scurry around looking for something to do. Anything to do. Anything but their primary function, serving food.<br/>After a while we started to warm to the Fawlty Towers ambiance. It became a guessing game - what'll come next?'. A plate of chips! Duck liver pate! Cuddly toy!<br/>When it came - random style - it tasted good. With the exception of a chocolate tart you needed a chain saw to cut. TBF we cut a refund deal there as the waiter admitted it was supposed to be rock hard. So, no problem, there.<br/>Good food  in an unusual order could be a teething problem but there's no excuse for waiting staff who can't serve properly. Basic training issue which despite the money spent, the noble concept and the potential vibe has been, amazingly, ignored.<br/>Got to do better.

Have been keen to check out the venue as I had seen it advertised on facebook, so went for brunch this morning. Venue looks awesome, such a great concept! We ordered the buckwheat pancakes, the avocado and brioche and the bubble and squeak. All were presented well and tasted delicious. Nice to know all the produce is sourced locally or made on site. Meal was served quickly and staff were very friendly and attentive. Management was also friendly and very hands on, approached us to check on how our meal was going. The decking area looks great and will be perfect for some summer sessions! Looking forward to going back for dinner and to test out some of the wines in the next few weeks. Great venue for a relaxed day out over summer.

Had a meal here that was rather average, the steak sandwich in particular. Whilst I'm not usually one to complain I thought I would provide some polite feedback given the establishment is new. It was very poorly received by the manager. Won't be going back to eat, which is a shame because I was looking forward to this new local!

My wife and I had dinner tonight and loved the entire meal & experience. First the wine selection was expansive but not confusing. The Pinot Gris we selected was terrific and well priced. We tried the cheese and meat starter. Was good but not as impressive as the pizza, arrancini and lamb ribs. All fantastic. First night opened and the service was slick. Great addition to smith st. Will be back!
