Review Melbourne Roastery Cafe - Collingwood

GTNathan Gardiner
An oasis amidst the razorbacks providing sanctuary, food & an exceptional long black! We found this place by chance yesterday & it’s too good not to share. Beautiful garden courtyard & great staff as well as their own roast. When I order a long black, this is what I want, rich earthy golden crema, that also happens to taste excellent. Bravo 👏

If only I lived closer, the most perfect place to sit down and have a coffee. Sublime. Recommend their soy flat white and filtered black coffee! Well roasted, super creamy and naturally sweet. Thanks again for the lovely service.

Can’t believe this gem has been hiding in our backyard for so long. Went here for breakfast this morning and was amazed at how nice the setting was. Tranquil cafe hidden behind the industrial streets of Collingwood. Coffee was perfect as to be expected from the Allpress brand, and surprisingly the pastries were insanely good (Lune croissant level good). Will definitely be coming back now I know about this place!

Can not speak more highly of Allpress Espresso. The beans are amazing and the customer service is second to none. We have been having our beans home delivered for the past 7-8 months and absolutely love having delicious coffee at home every morning. Thank-you.

Super lovely vibe here with clean interior design. Great for brunch or a study date!

It is impossible, for any working professional, to get beans from here unless you order online (and even still, you’ll need subscription for timely delivery). Closed on weekends, and Mondays, and by 4 on weekdays. And despite their website and google listing citing a close time of 4pm on weekdays, you’ll be turned away as early as 3:30, even for retail purposes. Very disappointing, particularly given how amazing the coffee beans are!

An interesting, almost “secret” cafe tucked away in the side streets of Collingwood. Very easy to miss if you’re walking past. Inside the setting is interesting - minimalist with plain colours and high ceiling. There is no table service so you order at the counter. The menu is a little bit hard to read with the way it’s layout. It would be nice to see pictures of the menu items as they’re hard to visualise (a bit of jargon on there that I didn’t understand). I ordered the overnight oats with coconut yoghurt which was pleasant, it tasted fresh however I would’ve liked the option to have the oats warmed up especially on a cold day. Hot chocolate was very nice.

In the middle of the hustle and bustle of Collingwood amongst the offices & factories. This place gives me good vibes, state of the art poured coffee & top notch toasties with an amazing ambiance and love that it’s up the road from me ✌️

Unassuming and incredible places like this are what Collingwood is all about. Hands-down best coffee in the area. Limited menu but incredible staff who remember everything about your order when you become a regular. Pumping in the mornings and more room to breath in the arvo. Quite little green oasis in the heart of the chaos of Collingwood.

I go here on a weekly basis at least and love it. It's one of my favourite cafes in the area. While I usually go for a soy flat white, they also make a great oat coffee. Staff are friendly and space is great for coworking and there are always cute dogs outside.

Allpress Espresso brings the 5 star experience to Collingwood. It seems like a hidden gem given its location, but what you experience in terms of the level of professionalism and service makes it a standout. There’s indoor and outdoor dining and the smell of coffee beans roasting in the background makes it very hard to leave.
EatPicLove
Easily the best coffee available in the area. The level of professionalism and skill in making the coffee here is another level in comparison to the local competition. With the ability to be seated in the outside garden, it’s the perfect venue to get your caffeine fix
Khrisey
One of our favorite spots for a coffee! We usually have a coffee to have there and one to takeaway. Hard to say no to another one! We love the cafes simplicity and it’s aesthetic, not overdone with typical cafe decor. Sit inside or outside, you’ll find some inner peace while enjoying their brew 👌🏼

**2.5 stars** We happened to come in this place for breakfast by accident, mistaking it for another cafe nearby. There’s no clear sign of this cafe’s name anywhere, so we didn’t know that we had stepped into the wrong place until the waitress told us that the ‘menu on Zomato’ did not belong to them. If you’re a foodie looking for visually appealing dishes with outstanding flavours that will fill you up, this roastery is probably not your best bet. The food offered on the limited menu is small and simple (at least the price matches the food - not overpriced). Unfortunately, we didn’t like the mixed plate as each ingredient had a distinct taste and it’s nothing special eating them on their own. The sourdough was super hard as well… Meanwhile, the ‘Eggs & soldiers’ involved us cracking and peeling the hot egg ourselves. It got messy with the shells landing on and around the plate. The bread spread with butter was nice though. All-in-all, I can understand why this place would do well, especially with the locals. The ambience is comfortable with both indoor and outdoor seating. the interior and exterior is modern and clean. The staff are friendly. And it’s evident that this roastery places it’s focus on the coffee which itself is delicious. This places makes for a nice catch-up spot with friends or a meeting-spot with work colleagues.
@esjaysam
Great cafe and coffee roastery in the back streets of Collingwood! Food here is simpler than the standard brunch fare you’d find in the area, however is tasty and priced accordingly. In addition to inside seating, there’s also an outside courtyard area that’s perfect for a sunny day!

Love the place!! Heaps of bang for your buck and super nice staff! I love that everything is affordable and super tasty. Delicious coffee and food.

Used to love getting my morning coffee here, but a change of staff over the New Year sees a 20 minute wait for coffee now. A victim of its own success now.

LOVED this place! They cannot put a foot wrong. It's the most beautifully decorated cafe (I didn't see the inside, but the dark grey exterior is divine) in an area tucked away from the street, and has a tonne of plants around that makes it feel like a mini retreat. The menu is brief, but interesting. No smashed avo here, just a simple list of things to make you feel good. The DIY plate is incredible. Three pieces of toast, a small slice of avo, tomato, egg and the most beautiful curd and PICKLE you have ever tasted (still dreaming about that pickle). It was past coffee time, so the freshly made juice for $6 was the perfect accompaniment. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. What a perfect Saturday brunch it was! Thanks, Allpress. Was a pleasure dining there.

Allpress are masters of coffee. They don’t deviate from the bean, strictly offering coffee and tea beverages only (sorry no chai, tumeric, mushroom lattes or whatever the new trend is). They also have a perfect little menu for light lunches and their selection of sweets and pastries make me weak in the knees. I’m often here for meetings but tend to stay a little longer outside in the sunshine among the the greenery. It’s one of Collingwood’s gems.

Definitely the best coffee in the area. Always consistent and strong. Great service, cool vibes and friendly atmosphere. Great little industrial cafe. If You ever in area worth a visit. Something different
Natasha Ballester
Firstly, they don't offer almond milk? Seriously in this day and age how can they not offer a non dairy milk alternative other than soy? Secondly, the service is terrible, the staff do not seem happy to be there at all. The positive thing is their mixed plate with toast, egg, pickle, avocado, tomato and feta, delicious and priced well.
Ben Milroy
Very comfortable and welcoming roastery space, well-fitted out with an open fireplace. Coffee is very good and while very limited, the food is fresh and tasty, with a clear focus on good quality produce. Service is fantastic and the free sparkling water is a win
Tattooedup888
Really bad service . Sat down didn't get attended too by any staff member , clearly they had seen me take a seat but would rather have a chat about which tree they would rather hug then do the friggin job they are paid to do! For some reason after being there a few times, over a period of time I just get the feel that the staff basically don't give a rats a$& ! Management needs to overlook the staff there asap otherwise it will affect the entire outlook of All Press !

Nice space, love the outdoor courtyard area and the fact that the roastery warehouse is right there next to you.

The food and service on the other hand is well below par. Waited far too long to be served, and once we ordered, waited far too long for the very basic meals we'd ordered.
Also copped a lot of attitude from the girl at the til for no real reason other than we'd asked if they did split bills - no, okay that's fine, rudeness unnecessary.

Considering it wasn't very busy during lunchtime everyone in our party of 4 left without positive impressions.
Alex D. Kilroy
Great food and coffee. The service is good and all round good value. I do have to say though, the menu is relatively basic. I would certainly go back again. I recommend the buckwheat pancakes.
Sk
I'm not sure why this cafe doesn't provide highchairs! In this day and age. It's a real pity as the cafe is so spacious. Would be great if they can welcome young families but a bold statement that they don't really want young kids here by not providing highchairs. Won't be coming back. A pity, as I was really looking forward to the visit.
Hbomb
Discovered this place when we first moved offices to Collingwood. I've been raving about the coffee ever since. I generally can't tell the difference between coffees but something special was going on with this one.

With style. Great space in Collingwood laneway. Old converted warehouse with large outdoor sunny area. Always great lunchtime food, coffee, vibes and hospitality. Today a delicious raw veg rustic sandwich with chickpea spread ... mmm mmm and for $10, very happy. Coffee today awesome, and our takeaway pastry and slice of lemon poppyseed cake melted in the mouth. Its been too long ... back soon ...

All press is probably one of my top 3 coffees in collingwood.
They roast their own beans and they are deliciously smooth and rich but not weak.
The milk is steamed to perfection everytime and O love the decor.
Clean, earthy and warm in a very pretty way..
Brunny Girl
The service can be varied and sometime the coffee isn't hot enough for my liking.
But, the Spring Onion pancake & Gravlax is always great for a healthy quick lunch.

No stars! We arrived at 2pm on the dot; there were still a number of people at tables and we were told the place closed at 2. No apology. Bad luck! We were flatly refused a sit down coffee. Furthermore the kitchen closes at 1.30 we were informed so we couldn't even have a ready-made roll of which they seemed to have many left over. Rude and unhelpful. So much for Allpress They all 'all press' for you to go.
Angela Taylor
This place is awesome. A local for me and their long blacks are epic! I Like that their menu is a bit different.... change it up from the usual brunch around this area. Croissants are always nice and crispy and their three salads always amaze me. Lovely staff too
Sweetsbizznezz
Hidden behind a long concrete wall lies Allpress. Fit out in an old industrial building Allpress fits perfectly into the Collingwood landscape. The food on offer is uncomplicated, that often heroes only a few ingredients. I wouldn't recommend visiting Allpress regularly for food as the menu rarely changes. However the coffee is delicious, which is a given with the coffee roasting machinery visible from inside the cafe.

Ethos was relaxing yet vibrant on my visit..staff welcomed me with a smile & witty approach..outdoor area is colourful, coffee was great and tuna & egg sandwhich even better. Most importantly, its' secluded warehouse location is a bonus as it gives it that secretive ambience!
Crispymelbreview
I kind of agree with the lacklustre reviews for this place.
The architectural design is impressive, otherwise the experience is bland.
I have only ever ordered the coffee --which leaves no great impression---as the menu is so lacklustre.
This needs a revitalisation and some dynamic change because the ambience is superb. and parking plentiful.
Beth Collins
Such a fantastic company, great ethos and customer service. Excellent coffee, didn't try any food. Wonderful atmosphere and happy staff. All positive from me.

Weird experience here. Lack of waiters. We came on lunch time. Place wasnt that busy. Its 3/4 full. We ordered expresso and came with hair. By the time we were trying to get their (waiter) attention the hair submerged into the coffee. So we couldnt them straight away otherwise we look stupid. Ordered tomato and cheese croissant and the egg bacon sausage sandwich. The croissant was soggy and the egg bacon sandwich was very average, needs more balance in flavour. When we queu to pay the staff behind the counter so busy chatting about whatever to the other staff, I had to just walk to right in front of the counter and said I wanted to pay. She asked how was everything and I said it was average. We told them what happened the above her body language was bit defensive and didnt want to charge us anything. I didnt want to walk free of charge, it isnt in my custom to do that. I was almost had an argument because I just wanted to damn pay my food. At the end she let me pay my egg bacon sandwich and we walked out. Definitely never going back.

A great space unfortunately let down by mediocre food and ordinary service. Would benefit by benchmarking itself against the best inner city cafes...It has the potential to become an icon but risks fading into obscurity.

Blink and you'll miss this hipster whisky bar of the cafe world.
- great coffee
- quirky chic atmosphere
- delectable sweets
- fresh tasty lunches
- clean, open and roomy
This is a special find in an otherwise old industrial area. If you're a lover of coffee and cool then look no further!

Fantastic place down a side street in Collingwood. Awesome space - lots of room with an inviting outdoor dining area. Coffee is excellent and the selection of food is adequate. Had the mixed plate of provolone, prosciutto, tomato, avocado and a boiled egg. Seems like a strange combo but it works. The sandwiches also look good - will have to try one on my next visit.
Maree
Great coffee, very cool location, hidden behind a tiny sign on Rupert St.
I'm sure the locals want to keep it a secret. I had a tasty corned beef toasted sandwich.
A comfortable place for a business chat, but with ambience and space for mums with prams.
Peter Damien
This is a very smart establishment hidden away with a pleasant garden and outdoor eating area. Pity about the staff. They are so rude I would never go back. The food is overpriced - $16.50 for a salad plate that was extremely minimal in its servings.
Andy S
Awesome place for coffee. Alot larger than it looks from the street, with a roomy atmosphere, they serve beautiful coffee with a great light foods menu.

Definitely will be back.
C
Fantastic coffee as you would expect, with a few quirky dishes on the menu, although it is quite limited and mostly simple dishes at that. On more than one occasion they had run out of various dishes, including the food I wanted to order. Great place to sit outside and catch some rays when Melbourne is performing well.
Jason Arthur
A great little spot, highly recommend you check it out. Great coffee, great food and great people, could u ask for any better? Not going to stay a secret for much longer
SK
Great coffee yesterday -as one would expect- but the surprise package was a lunch platter of boiled egg, avocado, goat's curd, roast tomato and gherkin, with toast, great flavour packed combo (even he gherkin which isn't something I would typically choose). Friendly engaging staff and warming sunshine in the courtyard topped it off.

Popped into today as I was trying to kill time. Love the location.the cafe is hidden behind concrete walls but upon entering its large open bright and quite. Amazing to come and chill with a coffee in the sun or shade or even enjoy the aircon inside with the sweet aroma of the their coffee roastery behind the glass window. Coffee was a disappointment. Just not really up to the standard you would expect. I had a grazing plate which was perfect for a late lunch and nice and lite. Their menu is limited but loved this place for an afternoon snack and some good chats with mates

Great little cafe in Collingwood. They do really delicious coffee and the food is quite nice too. I just wish they made the portion sizes a little bit bigger for the prices they advertise for there food. Other than that, lovely staff and a great warm cafe especially in the winter.
Crdav1
I love the ambiance and coffee but the service is consistently below average and after about 20 visits I can no longer make up any more excuses for poor service. Hope the staff get more interested in their customers as it's the only thing that lets this place down.
Mac K
The outdoor area is stunning!. Loved the outside space.... a green haven in the concrete jungle.
Food... meh... it was ok.
Coffee- i ordered an iced coffee and got more of a cold drip, no cream, no icecream- very different and disappointing for someone who doesnt like cold drip much.

The best coffee I've ever had. Living in Melbourne I drink a lot of coffee. I always look out for cafes that use allpress beans so it was a treat to actually go to their cafe in Collingwood. Woah did they not disappoint.

Literally the best coffee I've ever had.

Also the mixed plate is delicious and simple. The goats curd and salmon is a winner.

Allpress brunch. Today i went with a few friends to the allpress again, which in the past had mainly a sandwich menu. but to our surprise we found a most tempting lunch special attached. we ordered the duck confit salad which was topped by a big duck leg so tender it fell apart when you touched it. the other dish was house made gnocchi (vegetarian) just as good: super tender without any firm centre, beautiful creamy sauce too.
so hurry up, folks, don't miss out!
Geeboy
Tried it for a 2nd time and wasn't impressed, the chefs are inconsistent with what they serve up on a plate, even between the same dish served at the same table, and in recent visit, my partner and I ordered the same dish and one of the 4 ingredients was left off both our serves. If few and simple ingredients are being used to create each dish, more attention should be paid to each & every ingredient making it out to the diner. If the prices werent so high, perhaps this wouldn't be such an issue.
Flighttonight
Extremely disappointing. The menu was quite basic/limited, which is okay if simple food is done well, but it wasn't. I ordered eggs and soldiers, and the eggs were hard boiled and the 'soldiers' were just dry and stale. My friend had the 'Catalana' which came out as a bowl of tomatoes (which were tasty) and a couple of pieces of focaccia. Won't be coming back, although the place is pretty and the coffee is great.
SherSher
Best scone I have ever had. I needn't say much more! Lovely light fluffy texture and full of jam, clotted cream and served with fresh berries- yum. Good coffee too! Well done Allpress. Primo location.

Service needs lots of work. First visit to this cafe today, was looking forward to it but was disappointed. Yes the venue is amazing, beautiful outdoor and indoor areas, if you are thinking of driving in, be warned, parking is scarce in this area, lots of local workers use up the street parking so give yourself plenty of time to find a space. Apart from a hello on entering the cafe, the rest of the service leaves a lot to be desired. If you are service staff, please ask your customers before removing plates and serving ware if they are finished before you whisk things away. Also it would be nice if basic service attendance etiquette skills were practiced such as avoiding reaching across the customers when they are in mid discussion. It is customary to stand at the side of the client in any cafe to ask first if they are finished and then to politely remove the tableware. If you could avoid leaving customers waiting for more than 20 minutes on a very quiet morning before asking if we would like to order. I should mention we had to call someone over who then testily took the order. If I could make a suggestion in regards to the tea and coffee, a menu would be nice or if you can't have a separate menu please include the options on the menu you have. A cup of mint leaves in a large glass of boiling water does not equal peppermint tea. It is the equivalent of mint flavoured water, please correct your staff on their descriptions of available drinks. If you do not have actual tea, that's fine but please say so and to not attempt to pass off mint water as tea they are not the same. I had high hopes for this cafe but I'm afraid after this experience I cannot recommend it.

Waste of time, crap service and average food. Allpress has got to be my least favourite cafe in Melbourne. Come on people! They've got everything for a seemingly great cafe - that beautiful garden and outdoor area, the modern, warm interior and the added appeal of the coffee roasting next door.... but OMG never again. I've been 3 times, as my mum likes the coffee, and ach time ive walked away angrier and angrier.

Walked in very last on a sunday arvo, with only 3 other tables occupied (the place is huge), all having all eaten and just sitting with their coffees and chatting. We walked in, they said hello - we sat ourselves at a table, and after waiting for 10 minutes for a menu, or water or anything, i had to go up to the girls at the counter who were doing nothing, and ask - to which they gave me only one, despite the fact there were 2 of us haha, and sitting in FULL eye contact of them all! I'm surprised my stink eye at that point hadnt burned holes through them! They forgot the extra yoghurt, and took ages to bring the food out. Musli is beyond beyond beeeeyond average, the worst I've tired in Melbourne (sat/sun breakfast is my life, trust me I've tried a lot). Ugh, so annoying, I want to like you guys I really do, but pick up the service seriously! Certaintly wont be letting my mum go back, even if the coffee is good! P.s the blonde waitress with the beanie is such a turn off, the stomps around with a scowl and is just generally so abrupt! brought out a dirty side dish COVERED in runny yoghurt (asked for additional yoghurt and thats what we got!), presentation people... if you cant handle 2 customers in and ENTIRE store, my god, i hate to think what it would be like in peek time!

Just one thing.. Here is a review. If you work here - and you are a male of between the ages 20-30... this is for you. Well done on your job...its luxurious. Or am i mistaken and you hate being there? it seems that a simple "HI" to a new arrival is a non-essential part of your position. Maybe it depends on your mood... well. whatever the case, without making assumptions about people that i don't know a thing about, i can only observe from my experience a theme of blanking customers. Clearly, I don't like it.

I think the 'treat others how you would want to be treated' notion COULD be adopted here.

Such a small thing can really throw people off. As if walking into a seemingly prestigious establishment isn't already slightly nerve bearing for some. Its a really inhibiting feeling I had just walking out of there... happy with my purchase, however somewhat anxious from the overall experience.

No matter what your position in an establishment, if you happen to come across a customer that just walked in the door, there is an expectation to make them feel welcome and valued. Service is just so insanely important; I haven't bothered to touch on anything else as I think its pretty well known these guys are on point with their product.

Cheers.

Simply Coffee.. Allpress Espresso, I think, is an utterly brilliant establishment and I am thankful to this fantastic coffee institution that they have now settled in the industrial streets of Collingwood. I have been reading past reviews and have noticed that they seem to speak poorly of what is offered on the Allpress menu, which I can empathise with. Melbourne's breakfast/brunch scene is evolving rapidly and changing they way we view breakfast, which can only be a good thing as it is my favourite meal of the deal. And when I went in the other week I failed to see how someone would not want to come back for a coffee. The setting is simple and tranquil, especially with the natural light, the service is unforgettable, the food is generous (a mixed plate with a dill pickle, goats curd and three slices toast was a mere $10.00) and the coffee, of course, is a stand out. Allpress have been experimenting with coffee for almost 30 years now, I think we should learn to appreciate what this institution is offering, an amazing tasting cup with a wealth of knowledge behind it, rather than what they are offering on the side. This cafe isn't about the food it is about the coffee and Melburnians should appreciate that, not snub their nose.

Allpress has a typically Melbourne, discreet entrance on a side street in Collingwood amongst the rag trade factory outlets. I love Collingwood for it's eclectic mix of independent designers, old-school garment manufacturers and funky cafes. The downside of visiting this side of town is finding a park, but my patience today is rewarded; free 4P. Hell yeah! In another life I'd live in one of the New York loft-style apartments, but alas, in this life I'm firmly entrenched in suburbia with my beloved pooch who's more concerned with piss-worthy shrubbery than industrial architecture.

I digress. The discreet entrance of Allpress opens up to a expansive front courtyard which, today, is completely deserted save for one bike, leaving me wondering whether their staff have decided that it's too wet and dark to get out of bed too. I thought that this morning, but aforementioned JRT thought otherwise(!)

On the other side of an impressively heavy set of double glass doors is a lovely large, yet cosy, warehouse space and a warm greeting from one of the staff.

It's a weekday so there's enough people to make me inconspicuous, but I can still have my pick of tables. I have a penchant for mid-century furniture, so as soon as I spot the patchwork upholstered Eames chair I'm sold. Although I've admired these chairs for years, I've never actually test-driven one.....mmmm, form and function.

I'm early to meet a friend, so start with a cappuccino in their Supremo blend. I'm no coffee connoisseur, having only fairly recently stopped adulterating it with sugar, but am working on it. Oh serendipity, from my Eames I have a view of their coffee hoppers; white powder-coated with what appears to be LEDs surrounding the sight glass (ie. a window cut into the hopper running down it's length so you can see how much coffee is in the hopper); sorry, engineer by day, aspiring cafe snob by night, or rather; weekend.

The Supremo is very pleasant, with a sweet finish, but I regret not ordering it strong. Said friend arrives and we order lunch. The selection is limited to a few sandwiches, salads and a dish of the day. The format of the menu is a little confusing so the sandwich I get is not what I expected, no matter. Thought the combination of fillings was odd. Pleasant sandwich (I think 'pleasant' is my equivalent of 'interesting'), but at over $10, pretty light on for filling.

My friend hasn't sampled the coffee yet, so I'm up for a second/fourth; had 2 cups of plunger this morning?!. There's no list, so we're reliant on the waitress for a rundown of what's on offer, and are both left confused by what is/isn't single origin and what can/can't be served as espresso. As it turns out, they're only offering the Supremo blend as espresso, which seems odd when they roast in-house and retail other beans suitable for espresso. My short macchiato is.....pleasant(!), but I'm left wanting more, or more accurately; 'different'. As I can't have 'different', I settle for 'more' in the form of a scone filled with clotted cream and berries. The scone's texture is quite firm and dense compared to a traditional scone, but because of it's filling is.......pleasant....

Allpress has been a bit of a rollercoaster. I had reservations about coming, but it made a great first impression. The coffee was good, but not good enough to draw me back. Maybe their single origins are, but how to tell?
Sam
Not living up to potential. Great coffee and a beautiful fit-out. It's a bit out of the way in the industrial part of Collingwood, although this isn't a turn-off in itself. The turn-off is the limited menu with mostly sandwich options. I ordered the smoked salmon mixed platter, which was a bit underwhelming in both presentation and flavour. My friend's sandwich was lovely though, as were the desserts. Coffee was great, especially as I drink black coffee, which can be very unforgiving with the absence of milk. I was here for brunch on a Sunday and the place should have been packed, but was quite empty. It would be a pity to see this place close due to a lack of customers, but until they up their food offerings, I don't see this lasting. While I liked this, I probably wouldn't come back until the menu is a bit more substantial.
Bigspanner
The fit out is very tasteful staff friendly, cute Japanese chairs, coffees awesome and a huge range of pastries sandwiches etc makes for a great breakfast or lunch spot.
Andrew Rubin
Started Well - Ended Poorly. Went for lunch on a Friday, had a great sandwich and a coffee..... you would think a brand new venue like this would have the capacity to split bills during a lunchtime that only had about 5 tables out of 25 with people eating,

I was rudely told that split bill were not allowed and then after talking to the manager, as I had no cash, was spoken by a condescending hipster behind the counter about her allowing me to split the bill "just this once".

Will not go back! There are way to many eateries in Collingwood to have a great lunch with no attitude.

Good Food, Great Coffee, Poor service.
Patrick Marris
Let me expresso my feelings. This is my regular morning coffee place.. great coffee and really lovely place to sit in - has a great fit out. The staff there are outstanding always very friendly, polite and welcoming, and a simple but tasty menu.
Darren Ferguson
Fantastic every time.. This place is the best thing to happen to Collingwood for a long time. Brilliant fit out - such a tranquil place. The staff are exceptionally warm and friendly. The quality of the food is outstanding. Limited menu but not an issue as it makes decisions easy. The breakfast plate is delicious with care taken to fill it with perfect ingredients. Coffee is spot on everytime. The scones are a heavenly treat.
Melbrunch
Loved all the outdoor shaded seating great for a coffee unfortunately the menu lets it down, v limited breakfast options, also despite all the wifi around they wouldn't provide a password

Rad. Popped in on Friday for lunch and a couple of coffees - found that it was an awesome space, felt very welcome and relaxed. Service, food and coffee were all excellent, but the friendly staff were definitely the highlight.

Good coffee but pricey!. Nice atmosphere and good coffee. We were a little alarmed that a double shot with soy was close to $5 though......
SarM
Beautiful, tranquil and ever so airy. Popped past for a Sunday coffee and was blown away by the incredible fit out and natural light tha pervades the space.

Didn't stop for any food, but as always, whether made in the Dumbo Feather Airstream or in the roastery, Allpress' coffee is smooth and lovely.

Nice work Kirsty and the team!
Andrew
Milk with your latte?. I asked the salesperson to recommend beans to buy for my morning latte. She asked me if I will be adding milk.......
Clare Rae
Yes, the coffee is good. As you would expect from a cafe dedicated to roasting. However the menu leaves a bit to be desired, we came here for breakfast, the only options are pastries or a cold boiled egg on a plate with some cheese, avocado and tomatoes. Sure, it's provelone, but still. Disappointingly they were out of decaf, although it's written on the board. I would love to come back here, the decor is beautiful and it's nice and airy, hopefully the breakfast menu improves.

The restaurant is what you might expect a barbecue restaurant to look like. And smell like. They had me at the first whiff of pig. It’s all tight tables, mustard in yellow squeezy things, ketchup red ones and two barbecue sauces in browns ones, one hot, one apple. You’re sat on brown, looking at brown, with a few Olde Worlde trinkets and plates on the walls, like a diet TGI Fridays (not my favourite place at the moment after an awkward evening at the Wembley one a while back).
