Review Mr Peel - Collingwood

Lauren Wade
It’s with a heavy and reluctant heart that I have to try and admit to myself to that I just paid $18 for two bits of toast and mushrooms. Surely the avocado, feta and “tomato salsa” fell off the plate when the waiter was bringing it out to me? Or maybe said ingredients wanted absolutely nothing to do with this abomination of a plate and flung themselves off. I’m not looking for a refund or a free meal, I just want to warn tourists (as I’m sure locals are already aware) of this gross injustice of humanity cafe Mr Peel? More like Mr Unnapeel...

The place is quite hidden and considered as a small cafe in the Collingwood. The interior design was pretty simple and neat and customer staffs are friendly. We came in the morning to have few take away coffees (mocha, cappuccino and latte). The mocha was pretty good, it was balance between coffee, milk and chocolate. The mocha was $3.80, it was pretty good value for this great quality. Service : 4.0 Speed : 4.0 Taste : 4.0 Price : 3.5

Stellar food and service! I'm lucky enough to work around the corner from Peel St (so many good cafes here) but Mr Peel is my pick. Food and coffee are consistently good (and they have so many delicious/healthy options incl daily salads!). I'm always greeted with a smile. They also provide catering which my office has procured many times for client meetings etc, which also never fails to delight clients and staff alike. I would recommend Mr Peel to anyone around the area looking for a beautiful breakfast/brunch/lunch and coffee :)

I visit Mr.Peel almost everyday for food and coffee. Their food is always fresh and prepared in the store. I see Rick (owner) cooking all the time making soups and salads etc., which I enjoy all the time. Ruth on the coffee machine is awesome too, one of the best coffee's in the area for sure! These guys run a great cafe and I recommend visiting for the Chicken Curry Roti Wrap. Nick.

We stayed across the street at an Airbnb that didn't have a coffee maker. We were up early so went to get a coffee and Mr Peel was open. Great coffee (long dark) and fresh muffins out of the oven. Owner was friendly and remembered what our order was each visit. No need for a coffee maker with Mr Peel next door.

Second time I have to been to this place in 3 days. I had to come back. The eggs and beans are just sensational. I had to order them again. Coffee on point. I’ll have to try something else on the menu next time... 5 stars.

Great little cafe for when you're in a hurry and need too get back too work. Opens at 6am! Friendly, down too earth staff and amazing food that covers all dietary requirements. Makes their own almond milk 😉

I love this cute cafe and happily travel from Elwood to meet friends who work nearby for Mr Peel's delicious food. The coffee is great, the chicken roti wrap is a winner (very filling and satisfying especially on these cold winter days!), and there is always something new to try so I definitely recommend mixing it up. Another plus is they sell ready made dinner meals so I can send my man who works nearby (and who doesn't cook!) to pick up something for dinner. Keep it up Mr Peel team :)
