Review Siyia - Collingwood

A beautiful little cafe with an open space. Coffees were good and the simple sandwich pressed was yummy. I had to sit around and worked on the laptop for a couple of hours while the car was in service, they were very nice and did not disturb once. It would be better if they have a toilet facility.

Great coffee and the best ambience in Collingwood! Dennis has been in Smith Street for decades. Respect your local community and support your local traders.

Had breakfast here today - coffee was amazing and the food was delicious! This was my first visit, but won't be my last.

Haven't tried the food yet but the coffee is weak and milky here, not hot enough. Slow service, an uninviting place.

Damn shame this place has closed down. It had some unique gems that you just don't see elsewhere. If anybody knows about their plans to set up elsewhere, I'd be indebted for that tip.

Ordered chicken and mushroom fresh pie. Was very fresh, crisp pastry, and tasty meat.
Decor and music was enjoyable and customer service was also very pleasant. Would definitely come again.

What a let down! Coffee was burnt, awful taste. And food is below average! Very disappointed with this place as it used to be better before this joint got change hand! Won't be back!

One of the best souvas I've had. I got the haloumi incarnation and it was incredible. I had all the good feels. It's hard to believe this place isn't packed out all the time, but they've got some pretty weird hours (closed all day Sunday? C'mon guys...) and they're rarely open when I really feel like getting their goodness into my pie hole. Recommended (when it is actually open...).

I like to think of this place as a slightly less greasy version of Jimmy Grants. If you want your souv/wrap to be a bit more fresh, with diced veges instead of chips, this is the place to be.

Just discovered a Smith Street Gem!!
Genuine Cypriot Mezze like we've never had in Melbourne. Fresh, tasty and moorish. Love it.

Great coffee, great traditional souvlakis! I go there almost everyday for my hit of their dark roast Atomica coffee and smokey bbq souvla! Amazing homemade sweets too! 10/10

Souvlaki. 10 years on Siyia revamps & adds souvlaki .. Real Cypriot style souvlaki cooked over coals... Pork, chicken, lamb & falafel options.... True care is taken making each one. Now open for dinner Thursday , Friday & Saturday nights in addition to the usual days .... An easy early family dinner venue.. Siyia will not disappoint ...

Cafe Siyia. I stopped going because I didn't work in the area any more but recently returned and the food still remains perfect. The ingredients are the freshest and the cooking quality is fantastic. I couldn't recommend this place more- also very very good coffee. The people that own this enjoy sharing their recipes with the diverse customer base that is Collingwood! 10/10

Daily specials & a choice of homemade soups $4 or $6 served with warm slices of bread. Signage claims that the pies & sausage rolls are famous so I tried the sausage roll & it certainly was nice to have a hearty filling & the pastry was not oily oily oily (sorry pie face). Vege & lentil soup was thick & had a nice bite. I did takeaway but it's nice & cosy inside if you wanted a seat plus seating outside that gets the afternoon winter sun, people watch the Smith/Johnston St crowd.

Disappointed. Everything about Siyia says "good food". Everything looks fresh and yummy and there's a huge note on the wall boasting their commitment to quality. Unfortunately, while the prices are designed to make you think "It MUST be a good pie if they're charging $8.90 for it!" the food itself doesn't stand up.

The pea and ham soup is more like Lindsay Bluth's "Hot Ham Water" and the aforementioned pie didn't contain a single piece of actual beef, just some fine shavings that might once have been attached to an actual piece of beef. The "gravy" which was more like brown clag, was completely devoid of flavour. For nearly $9.

Surprised there was only one review on here with %100 likes rating. The food is amazing. Each day there is new choices of home cooked style food that Nona would make. It's priced fantastically also. Andrew, the coffee guy never fails to make probably the best coffee I've had in Melb. I'm here 3 times min a week so that's got to say something. Lucky to have this gem on my door step. Oh the breakfast omelletes are amazing!
