Back to my favourite little eclectic cafe this morning (7th visit, 7th eggs benny). Can’t turn away from the eggs benedict - best hollandaise sauce in Perth. Paired with that freshly squeezed apple juice perfection.
Every time I pop in for takeaway coffee the service is quick and friendly with a perfect cup for a coffee snob like me. Good healthy almond milk options too. And the cute vintage style and old style tea cups for diners is a nice touch.
We went for eggs Florentine, a BLT and food for the kids. Kids loved the huge mango passion, eggs were cooked perfectly, not too hard, not too runny just right! Great unpretentious laid-back atmosphere.
our little local. from down the road on manning. very quirky vintage-esque little cafe. always quite busy nowadays and only open weekends unfortunately. menu is simple and small, but enough. sometimes less is more. my pumpkin dukkah eggs on toast.. just what i need this sunday morning!
Came here on Friday for brekkie, after missing out on Wednesday; they are only open for 3 days. Love the retro chic appearance of this café and plenty of options to dine outside under the verandah. But the morning was chilled so went inside. The barrister welcomed everyone one with a cheery good morning, which is so rare these days. I ordered a long Mac topped up and the crispy chicken waffles with avocado, bacon and maple. My coffee was nice and hot, well flavoured and came in a retro coffee cup with retro spoon. Loved the coffee! My brekkie took a little longer to arrive, but looked beautiful when it arrived. Chicken was well cooked and warm, but the rest of the dish was cold. I would have enjoyed the dish even more if the waffles and bacon were warm. A great little café to enjoy the morning with friendly service.
Small cafe but it's always busy. Great coffee with simple great brekky. Very relaxed place to catch up with friends. Its also in a very good location, about 2mins from the freeway, so easy to get to and from.
Cool, eclectic, fun with great coffee n nice people with home cooking.. muffins to die for.
My breakfast of crispy, maple bacon with fried eggs
Ate tonight at "next door" pasta bar. WOW this was such a warm and tasty experience. Staff were very attentive and quick. We started our meal off with the gnocchi in blue cheese sauce and it was heaven !
The chef was lovely and catered gluten free for my daughter who loved her pasta.
We shared the chicken thyme Lemon risotto and the roasted vegetable pasta which were both amazing. The risotto was personally stand out for me and can't wait to eat it again.
Loved the whole experience and loved the prices too !!
Delightful place, delicious food.. I just had a lazy sunday breakfast there today, and my egg benedict was simply the best egg I've had in my life. Perfectly cooked, and delicious. I'll be getting double the order next visit. Chai latte was perfect also, and my coffee-afficionado wife was very happy with her long black and egg florentine.
The atmosphere was exactly what we've been looking for in a cafe, friendly, airy, and peaceful. The only other good places around here have become deafening madhouses, so this was a really nice change. The staff were prompt, courteous and friendly. Great prices too.
Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.
Great little cafe that I hope stays a local secret.
Awesome awesome! Cheap and.... Awesome awesome!
Cheap and good quality - like nothing under $16 :O
Nice chilled out retro
Got the cheese spicey white bean toastie - brilliant!
So excited that manning (finally) has such pleasant cafe for breakfast & Next Door for dinner. Even though the menu is simplistic, it's never boring so go in for a surprise.
Great local venue with well priced coffee closed Tue/Wed. This is a local cafe with low cost options, secondhand furniture and reasonably priced coffee. The owner works hard to keep everyone happy, is flat out keeping up with the orders but does a great job. The menu is not extensive but what we have tried is good. If you want upmarket and expensive this is not the place for you, the customers vary but mostly seem to be locals. The homemade muffins are wonderful. I haven't yet tried the new section Next Door
First time customers and really enjoyed our breakfast and coffee. Will definitely be back.
We have been here many times for breakfast and loved it. The chef clearly has a great passion for great simple food. We tried "ley street next door tonight" and loved the little set up however were slightly disappointed with the food. I had the gnocchi, which was fantastic, however my partner had another "spiral" pasta dish which was obviously packet pasta, using a fresh made pasta would give the dish that wow factor. The chocolate tart and salted caramel icecream was too heavy, and I love chocolate. Perhaps some raspberries or fresh fruit would break up the rich taste. I love the concept and we had a fantastic night, however a small few changes would make all the difference.
Tasty food, nice and cheery staff and everything priced reasonably
Muffins where delicious and fresh, beautiful bacon and eggs, trendy and modest.
Food and coffee was good. Muffin a tad stale. Windows look great
Humble cafe tucked away in the corner of Ley Street and Manning road. Friendly and prompt service, unusual varieties of milk shakes, reasonably priced. See the enthusiasm and pride that staff take in making their food and serving it, which adds to the great vibe of that place. If you want food made with love, try this cafe.
Fantastic. Great service, great coffee we had the eggs Benedict and a hot out of the oven peachy amazingness muffin. The eggs were perfect and sauce was amazing!! This is defiantly our new weekly favourite!! And not ridiculously over priced like the cafe welwyn!! Hanging out for the weekend to get back in there! :)
Humble and heartfelt. Cosy local cafe with a hearty and uncomplicated breakfast menu. Not a fancy place you make a big expedition for, just honest good food, enjoyed in peace. Very reasonable pricing. Regretfully, the coffee doesn't rate for me.
I have been 5 times now and each time I have been very pleased. Amazingly priced and very friendly owner and staff. I'll be going next week yet again.
Hidden gem. Went here over the labour day long weekend for a brekkie, and was very impressed! Was served by the chef who took our orders and promptly began our meals. Coffees were great. Home made BBQ sauce on the brekkie roll was a highlight.
Interesting and quirky decor, very friendly atmosphere. Layout is quite different as the meals are cooked in the middle of the cafe in an open restaurant, was actually really assuring and good to see the chef pump out the meals.
No eftpos but not such a major drama as there is an ATM across the road.
Will defiantly go back!
Don't be put off by the location. Excellent food. Slightly overlooked poached eggs, but offset by brilliant spicy mushrooms and white beans. Delicious and unusual milkshake selections well worth a try.
Perhaps I should have kept this place a secret, but that wouldn’t be fair! Ley Street Cafe is a tiny, suburban cafe a short drive from home. With a name like Ley Street Cafe I was expecting a generic corner store, but I was very wrong. The cafe features a jumble of mismatched vintage tables and chairs, an open kitchen (so you can watch your breakfast being cooked by a hipster dude) and one of the cheapest menus I’ve seen in a long time! E & I will happily pay top dollar for a fabulous brunch out, but I was so shocked with the prices at Ley Street. None of this $20 for a fried egg on toast ty

The cafe has a welcoming feel, and is filled with the comforts of home, including child friendly amusements, and an eclectic arrangement of furniture. Their kitchen is unique, allowing diners to watch the chef cook.
I like to try different places when I eat out, although it seems to be getting harder to find restaurants in Perth that offer something unique for breakfast; maybe I’ve just been to too many places… Anyway, my attention was recently drawn to the Ley St Cafe in Como by various mentions on Twitter of salted-caramel milkshakes and maple-glazed bacon, so there was no question that this was somewhere I had to try. We were breakfasting with friends today, which made a nice change and of course gave me more meals to photograph!
Ley Street Café falls into the NBS category. It's an understated and homely nook with salvaged furniture and chalk squiggled walls. An unfussy menu of hearty breakfast includes cheesy scrambled eggs ($9), Bacon & Egg Sandwhich with homemade BBQ Sauce ($12), and (
We came this morning to try the drink and cake in this cafe. The orange and almond cake really delicious and the long black can't complain about it! My friends order cappuccino and they like it too.
The problem only the waiting time. Takes almost 20 minutes for them to make my long black 😥.
I hope they improve their service someday.
What a little Gem on the corner of Ley street. Lovely coffee & service with a smile, can’t go wrong!
Will be back to try their food menu the next time 😊
Some very old school scales & pasta making machine that caught my eye.
Amazing little cafe. Simple but really good food. Super chilled and staff is always friendly. Highly recommend.
Neighbourhood cafe with a lot of character, a solid menu, and a very cozy, welcoming ambiance. Also open for dinner on Friday & Saturday nights.
Very nice little cafe! They have a cornee for kids with lots of toys so it is perfect for parents wanted to have breakfast in piece! They were quite busy today so waited a little bit for our food bur just think we arrived and ordered when everybody did. Food was tasty and not too expensive. We will be back thank you!
Very good food, reasonably priced and they like it on you for breakfast, the coffee is also delicious and can come in gigantic mugs if you REALLY need to wake up.
Staff is very friendly and the place is always packed with friendly locals, creating a lively atmosphere and a sense of community.
Includes indoor and outdoor seating and food delivered straight to you without too much waiting, and the locals love to bring their precious doggos with them to breakfast which i personally enjoy seeing.
Amazing, quaint little place. Everyone was friendly, great service, and fantastic food. The chicken pancakes were amazing. Everything is freshly made to order (I think I even saw them mixing the pancake batter for my dish) so the wait time is slightly longer. But definitely well worth it. Can’t recommend this place enough
