Review Fiend Merchants - Como

Mr Rupert, a very friendly owner, started this cafe 3 years ago. He had put a lot of ideas and efforts to bring out all kinds of fast food to meet the needs of the patrons while enjoying good coffee. I had a good chat with him and I liked the medium roasted coffee beans that he recommended. Friendly staff, good service, good atmosphere, clean and unique decoration. Free car parking bays near this cafe and across the road. Cheers! (2021-11)

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Staff were indifferent to customers, didn’t get a single smile from anyone in the team. Half of their menu was not available (we went for breakfast). And this is what annoyed me the most: they have single use plastic cups for you to use in the cafe, please don’t be lazy on washing some dishes and get reusable glasses for those dining in, do a little bit for our planet. Food was completely below average. Don’t recommend and would not go back.

This is an amazing place and the drinks are the best I just couldn’t even control to save the drink I just drank. Also, the toasty was very delicious. Edit: I forgot to mention that the staff was so kind and helpful

Best spot in Como for a coffee and a bagel. Other breakfast items are higher priced than standard but you can’t go wrong with their range of bagels and fillings. Great coffee, cosy atmosphere, and welcoming staff.

While the atmosphere is nice, the service was awful. My breakfast took 40 minutes to come out,and the other people at the table had already finished eating. And when it was served, it was missing ingredients (the avocado from avocado on toast...). We also ordered a smoothie that wasn't served after 45 minutes until we complained. The place has potential, but we weren't happy at all. The staff were friendly, but unfortunately that didn't make up for it.

Came in with family today. We ordered the haloumi and avocado meal. They served the meal without avocado. Waited 40 minutes longer for one meal than the others. Plus, they missed the smoothie we ordered. I have heard good things from this place but unfortunately my experience doesn't reflect this. I am hesitant to go here again.

Horrible experience here today after being regulars for a while. Our 5 year old son walked in and up to the “kids corner” where there are childrens books and an old typewriter. Unwittingly he opened a fuse box right above the typewriter and flicked off the power to the whole cafe. Realising what had happened we took our son away from the area and as we were explaining he shouldn’t have touched it a staff member charged over with a very ill temper. We tried to explain it was an accident and he’s only a kid and the guy said “well he could have been shocked!”. When I pointed out that he was correct and asked why they would have an open fuse box in the kids corner he said “Oh, so it’s our fault is it!?”. We took our kids and left immediately. So disappointed, food and coffee here is great but we won’t be coming back and I’d advise management to have a look at securing that fuse box.

The employees were so lovely and the matcha and coffee were very good ! My bagel was a bit stale and the veggies bagel was very messy to eat. Won’t be eating here again but everything else was nice 🙂
