Ordered the Lamp pot pie from the specials menu and lasagne. Am not usually a fan of lamb but this pie was just very hearty and divine. Lasagne was also tasty, though it could use a bit more salt. It would be even better if they also offered a small parmesan cheese top-up bowl like in other Italian restaurants. There is a pleasant outdoor seating area on the street side but is usually packed. They also offer take home pasta/lasagne meals too.
nice place, quality food and ingredients. nice coffee.
In Short: A warm welcome from Rocca awaits you when you visit Cucina Espresso in Concord. Once he has your order he will hand off the ticket to Carlo in the kitchen, who will then apply technique and create flavourful and beautifully presented plates of food that draws on his Italian heritage. My tip is, your orders has to include the breakfast arancini. You will be surprised and delighted.

Cucina Espresso has racked up nearly eight years of operation. You’ll find the family-run café in Concord’s main shopping strip, which takes up the better part of three blocks of Majors Bay Road. Cafes and restaurants make up a good many of the businesses in this strip, so competition for the weekend breakfast spend is fierce. Cucina Espresso have risen to the challenge with an expanded menu of unique breakfast items, all while keeping a core menu for the bacon-and-eggs brigade.Rather than employing fusion, chef Carlo Calautti’s menu innovations are unified by staying faithful to Italianate flavours and techniques. His Breakfast Arancini ($16.90) is a moment of pure genius. To make it...
HELLO breakfast lovers. I am back at Cucina Espresso as they have a number of new menu items. I am here at 8:30am to avoid the crowds that come a bit later. Matt's tastebuds are excited as he really enjoyed our last visit. Cucina Espresso is a cafe located on the main strip of Concord. They are best known for their creative breakfast dishes with an Italian twists. There's a queue of coffee lovers as I enter Cucina Espresso on this particular Saturday morning. Thanks for the meal!
Ordered uovo rossa and burger with chips.
Solid Italian Cafe. Nice juicy burger, salty and tangy. Meat was cooked well. The uovo was light, the egg was runny and the tomato sauce was well seasoned. Seemed like a friendly place with heaps of locals. Though did not receive table water despite asking a few times (all other tables had water). With more attention to detail definately would have been a better experience.
There’s a wide variety of menu items sure to please anyone’s taste buds. Everything cooked to perfection, and looking absolutely spot on. Staff were attentive and made sure we left happy.
If you’re looking for some deceptively delicious, go for the Uovo Cotto. A baked egg dish made with white sauce, TRUFFLE, bacon, mushroom, and grana padano. Unbelievable flavours.
We came for breakfast with a small group, and we loved everything we had for breakfast!!! The staff were very friendly and attentive, the place gets pretty busy during the weekends, so make sure you get there early for breakfast. They have a wide range of dishes to select from! We love the poached egg and polenta dish which as cooked perfectly and was delicious
Absolutely loved this place!
The carrot cake pancakes are a must try - you won't be disappointed.
Their savoury dishes are also really tasty and the eggs, cooked perfectly.
The best thing is that they're also pet friendly so you can bring your 4 legged pal along with you.
Definitely one to visit.

One of the best brunch places I’ve been to. Tried the Uovo Cotto and thought that it would be too creamy (it had cheese and potato mash in white sauce), but turned out to be really nice. Could’ve used more truffles though (as I barely tasted it), but it was good all in all.
The chips were on point too! Not too greasy and just cooked the way I like it.

Each and every time, this cafe does not disappoint! The Uovo is worth travelling any distance and my personal favourite is the Uovo Cotto. The burger, schnitzel focaccia and ricotta hot cakes are all worth mentioning as they are mouth watering! We will never change our favourite weekly cafe!
Good place for breakfast, nice selection of food, great ingredients, service is good. Is a family business, bacon burger very good, uovo salchicha good as well. I’ll come back
Best breakfast place for me. My go-to most morning's. Great coffee, food is hearty, full of flavour and always a generous size. I highly recommend ordering the baked eggs (the Bolognese is a winner) & the ricotta pancakes!!
Culture, food, family, the perfect environment for authentic Italian food. The baked eggs were to die for and I will be back for the snickers pancakes.
A little Italian inspired cafe in the middle of Concord, offers fresh innovative breakfast/lunch and great coffee (The Little Marionette) with friendly service.
Super solid venue. I went for breakfast, service staff were attentive and coffees were great. The real hero was the baked truffle eggs and mash potato. Sublime. Sticky pancakes special also great

Beautiful position along the road with a great atmosphere, awesome staff and even better food.
Food made fresh to order and perfectly cooked within reasonable price expectations is always a good starting point
Cucina espresso located in the leafy suburb of Concord and is only 20 minutes from the Sydney CBD. Although not a suburb you’d usually pass through unless you live in the area, Cucina Espresso is definitely worth making an effort to visit. The cafè is very popular with locals, we arrived mid morning on a Sunday and the cafe was thriving with customers. We initially sat inside and waited for a table outside, with the staff accomodating when it became available. A delightful place to sit and enjoy our breakfast. It was a rainy day, but luckily kept dry by the overhead awnings. The owners very hospitable to everyone visiting their cafe and I understand why locals would keep coming back. We were informed it would be about 30-40 minutes wait due to the high volume of guests but we could order a drink while we waited. It’s great to be informed. It also didn’t take that long to get our food.
Grabbed some takeaway pastas from Cucina Espresso, and they were ready in quick time--15 minutes. The pick of the pastas was definitely the "tortiglione con salmone e gamberetti". The pink vodka sauce was so tasty, that perfect medium between creamy and tart! The salmon was quite generous, although I would have thought a few more prawns would've been fairer. We ordered the puttanesca with tortiglione pasta and it was okay. It was quite salty, probably on account of the anchovies and olives, and perhaps a tad dry. I didn't really enjoy the spaghetti wagyu bolognese, but that is common for me, as I like a thicker, richer tomato sauce; whereas most restaurants in my experience use a thinner lighter sauce. It makes the meat and the pasta taste too dry to me. This was the case with Cucina Espresso. All of the pastas were cooked nicely al dente as claimed, except for the spaghetti which was well over done, though not terribly so. I would return, but I may be more apprehensive regarding the pasta menu.
Amazing Italian cuisine in a lovely bright location in concord with easy parking and a strong local following. Customer service is highly attentive. The food is delicious and fresh and the menu has a lot of variety so there is something for everyone. Be rest assured all the ingredients used here is seasonal and authentic with strong emphasis on beautiful rich flavours. I highly recommend the handmade gnocchi - it's like eating soft pillows of potato heaven. The coffee here is the Little marionette.
Best breakfast/lunch place I've ever been to food is wonderful staff are so pleasant definitely worth coming here
YUM! Definitely one of Sydney's hidden gems and honestly this place needs to expand
We were in the area to watch the niece play netball early Saturday morning and a local recommended we try here for brunch. ... SO glad they did as the food and coffee were delicious.
Hubby ordered the house special (eggs and wagyu bolognese with toast, I ordered the Salmon crostini with poached eggs, while the boys ordered Eggs Benedict and the kids pancake. I tried all the food and the flavours were amazing.
Also loved the decor and the service from the staff was friendly and efficient.
Definetly will visit again when we are next in the area.

Went for an early morning breakfast. A good range of dishes. Decided to skip the usual coffee and opted for a cold pressed juice. The juice was the pre-made ones, which was tasty and I was satisfied with the flavours that were available.
There was a variety of things on the menu. Nothing too fancy. Needed to have a healthy breakfast, so I chose the yoghurt with the activated buckinis and yoghurt. It was a good serving size and made me quite full.
The service is always great. So friendly and attentive.
My aunty (as well as her friends) and I have been going here since last year. First of all, they have amazingly nice and accommodating staff! Their breakfast and lunch menu along with weekly/monthly specials are ALWAYS ALWAYS superb. I personally love their chicken schnitzel sandwich (which I quickly grab one every morning before uni) and their pasta selections. Oh, their gluten free bread tastes wonderful too! I have indeed many times been lost in translation over their food.
Had an excellent breakfast here. The coffee (The Little Marionette) is well-made. The menu is full of delicious options and the service is amazing. We will be back to try the lunch menu!
Perfect place to catch up for breakfast on the weekend. Food is very nice, you get a decent amount and it's reasonably priced. The staff were also very friendly. Recommend!
I quite enjoyed my breakfast here today! I ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon. The hollandaise sauce was superb, probably one of the best I have had to this date and the eggs were poached perfectly. My only complaint about this dish would be that the toasted pane di casa was actually too tough to cut through, even with the steak knife we were given. One of the workers did tell us to just use our hands. My friend also found this an issue with her crostini avocado. I also didn't like that the juices are not freshly squeezed as I do like a good cup of freshly squeezed juice. It is also a little pricey compared to other places but as I said the food was very tasteful and we were both happy with our dishes.

I went to Cucina Espresso for lunch and ordered the truffle oil cream pasta. The pasta was nicely coked cooked and seasoned, and it came out amazing. Love the plating.
I heard this place is good for brekky so I will come back again later this week.
An Italian Cafe willing to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional service. Food packed with passion and love from a truly Italian chef will definitely bring us back in the future.
Loved our breakfast here today! Lovely out door or indoor tables - and lots of them so you'll know you should get one without having to wait.
The breakfast menu is big and original. Incorporates lots of Italian foods. I got delicious mixed wild mushrooms with goats cheese on pane di casa with poached eggs. Hubby got an egg white omelette.
Coffees, food and service amazing. Loved it :)

We started with a mixed crostini platter from the lunch menu and the zucchini flowers from the dinner menu. There was a wonderful assortment of toppings on the crostini and it looked so appealing that a passer-by asked us if she could take a photo! We loved the smoked salmon with goat cheese, rocket, pistachio, caper berries, Spanish onion, mashed avo and lime. The pan-fried wild marinated mushrooms with goat cheese and thyme was great too. In fact, they were all great. Now about the zucchini flowers…. we both rolled our eyes with delight when we tasted these. Filled with prawns, spinach and ricotta, they were juicy and tasty. The seasoning was spot-on and the light crispy tempura batter added crunch to the munch! We could have eaten a whole bunch of those flowers!
Cucina Espresso is a small cafe located on the main dining strip Majors Bay Road in Concord. The cafe and restaurant serves up delicious Italian inspired cafe fare in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. To start the meal we were greeted with a platter of delicious crostinis with toppings including avocado, mushroom, salmon, tomatoes and ricotta.
Cucina Espresso located in the heart of the inner west is a family owned and operated café. Surrounded by nice houses and homey streetscapes and matched with perfect weather, good food and coffee and even an encounter with Reynold from Masterchef. I don’t think Fridays get any better.
Always getting some of my takeaway drinks from here and they are always very good. The staff is always very friendly and smiles. But only very small sitting area is available so, i never stayed for lunch with my friends. I recommend the drinks
Went on Sunday for Breakfast, I couldn't believe this place! The food and staff were fantastic, so dedicated to good food it was a pleasure to watch all the amazing dishes coming from the kitchen.
Delicious spaghetti!. Came here for lunch and had the spaghetti with prawns and fries. Both items were cooked well and the staff were friendly and the place offered a great vibe. The prawns were amazing and the chips we're tasty!
Had a great brekkie here this morning and great service which is not the norm here in Concord. Coffee the best by far as well. Will definitely be back.

Food was good and fresh (except for the hot chocolate which was awful) but service was slow considering how uncomplicated our dishes were.
They're busy for a reason. The quality of food and the speed of service was great. The prices were also very reasonable. Late lunch for 2 $67 or so.
We came for a late brunch - pretty much lunch actually xD had pastas and some potato egg dish and eggs benedict. The pastas were both quite nice, one was a crab meat rose pasta and the other... garlic shrimp? My goodness I should really get the dish names next time.. the best was the potato egg thing omg that's a must get! It was like a creamy base with eggs and potato and my golly god I loved it. I think I love potatoes and I never knew it! The eggs bene was on some arancini ball looking thing and it wasn't really my style, I prefer bread. The man I think he is the owner, he gave us extra bread for the potato egg. Thank you so much - yes I love bread!
Coffee was excellent, highly recommend!!
I’m a regular here at Cucina and a big fan of thejir baked egg dishes. I’ve tried most if not all of the uovo dishes on the menu. My fave is the uovo bolognese e piselli.
I love their pasta and coffee ❤️ I am definitely going back. There has a limited potion of Arancini so I'd like to try later 🔥
We had the Salmon benedict & the uovo caprese. Their food is always so fresh & perfectly balanced. Such friendly & warm service. Really good coffee. Always a pleasure at Cucina
Delicious food. Quick service and reasonable wait time for food even though it was busy. Outdoor seating had ample heating and was quite comfortable even on a cold windy day. Definitely will be back
Prosciutto omelette had a great balance of flavours and generous portion size. The salmon eggs Benedict needed something fresh to balance out the richness of the hollandaise sauce. The pancakes were light and fluffy but could've done more fruit for some more freshness.
