Review Coochie Island Beach Resort Restaurant - Coochiemudlo Island

Bring a bike, and go in summer. Rooms where very spacious and clean but don't expect 5 star. Furniture is a little dated but otherwise comfortable. Service was great, lovely staff that are very accommodating with good local knowledge. Food was enjoyable, not over the top, just good pub favourites. Nice gardens and excellent "aloha" hut feel to the restaurant. Owners have put a lot of effort into the surrounds and the restaurant recently and it looks good. Place would be great for families with good pool area and only 30 seconds from the beach. We went in August so it was a little cold and not many people, imagine it would have a lot more buzz in summer --- book early though. Definitely recommend staying here overnight for a quick getaway form Brisbane..

An older resort that is being looked after well by the current staff. Very good customer service, friendly bar staff. Don't expect to be staying at the Hilton, as I'm sure most can work out from the price. Good family getaway not to far from Brisbane. Continental breakfast was as expected very basic, after reading some of the other reviews I'm not sure what some people expect from a 'continental breakfast'. Very nice stay.

Just spent the weekend here with the wife and will be back with the children next time. As long as you realize the rooms are more a 3 star stay and a little dated then you will be fine! The cafe for brekky and lunch was amazing and the restaurant was yum yum yum with large servings, the prices comparable with the mainland which we were surprised for an island experience. The staff were all exceptional and so were the owners. The pool is lovely and the island is great to walk around and picnic about if you come prepared. Apart from the resorts cafe and restaurant you have the local fish and chip shop and a lovely cafe that serves great coffee and meals called Red Rock. All in all we will be back especially with some of the mid week deals they are offering, just make sure you being snacks etc... as there is no convenience store as yet.

Stayed in the beach house unit, absolutely loved it. So handy to the main foreshore, jetty and barge. Lovely complex with a very spacious unit. Excellent for relaxing. Only complaint were the flat pillows, the dining table in desperate need of repair due to the loose legs, and the tv sitting on a 4 legged table with 1 leg broken. Accident waiting to happen! Otherwise the resort was fantastic.

What a lovely little island getaway for couples and families. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The food was great, especially the burgers. Would highly recommend Coochie Resort for a no frills getaway with a laid back atmosphere. Thanks Cliff and staff for making our stay a great experience

My husband and I have just arrived home from a weekend staying here. I could not fault it. Spacious, very clean rooms, beautiful gardens, lovely pool, lovely atmosphere, and the food was delicious. Cant wait to go back to such a welcoming friendly place, I must make mention of the exceptional staff, all of them, what a credit they are. I honestly cant recommend this resort high enough, cant wait to go back. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it !

One teabag each, very little milk and absolutely NO cooking facilities or cutlery. My husband brought me here for a weekend away and paid $150.00 a night. Breakfast at 9am???? or when they feel like opening apparently.We will not be back. If you want a nice place to stay -stay at Victoria Point.

We have just spent the weekend at the Coochiemudlo Island Resort and will definitely be returning. We knew from our research that the accommodation was basic so we packed a few of our own things. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by everything. The rooms were very clean and spacious, Cliff and Jacki were more than welcoming and the meals were top quality restaurant style. Pack some crockery and cutlery and fill an esky with yummies and you won't go wrong.
