Review Coogee Bakehouse - Coogee

Great family owned and run business. Didn't realise they had a $5 minimum for cards when I ordered my usual flat white with oat milk. No worries as they say over here - told simply 'pay next time you come in'. What are the odds of that with one of the multis? And the coffee? One of the best I've had in the seven weeks I've been over here. 👍 Shame I'd already eaten, as the rang of cakes and pastries looked amazing. Oh well, have to make sure I've got my wallet on me next time.

We always get the Orange Cake which is a dairy free and gluten free cake for the birthdays in office. The taste is so good but I wish there were more DF and GF options:) Compared to other DF and GF cakes in other stores, this cake is cheaper and more delicious. We will definitely buy this cake for the next birthdays.

Bakehouse SC has become a real favourite and everything i've had has not disappointed! Great coffee - check, fresh warm bread - check, delicious pies - check, and my personal favourite the ham and cheese croissant - one of the best in Sydney! Plus the added bonus of friendly, consistent staff. Highly recommend!

Everything we've ever tried from the Bakehouse has been fantastic. You could close your eyes, spin around and point at something and be sure of getting something delicious. Highly recommend the almond croissants!

Excellent spot for a breakie coffee and croissant. Lots of pastries to drool over. Super friendly staff and a good vibe to sit it. It’s my go to place when I visit family in the area.

An absolutely lovely bakery with great people! We mentioned that we were taking some pastries over to the hospital for nurses who were taking care of a loved one this Christmas and they added free danishes for us to take over! Truly a very caring bakery in the neighborhood that is also absolutely delicious! A true gem!!! Thank you Bakehouse!!

Well an early morning run of delicious bakery goods ruined again by a rude service girl, first in line with customers building in numbers in just seconds and minutes - no acknowledgement to anyone that she wouldn't be long as she walks back and forth doing a whole lot of nothing Finally get my order in - to start a large hot chocolate and a flavours latte - no flavours she says - fine just a small latte - proceed to order bakery goods and then take my seat to wait for beverages - serves 4 more customers before even starting drinks A short time later - hot chocolate gets called out and I assume latte as well - only hot chocolate sitting on counter - I mentioned I ordered a small latte as well - which then I get a snarky bark back of "you never ordered that" loud enough that customers all stared awkwardly at her rude behavior - not having to wait again, i said that I had but didn't want to wait again and I just left. In saying the baker/s do a terrific job and the food is delicious- just don't expect a friendly smile - or a kind word - this young lady again has gotten out of the wrong side of bed again

This place always delivers! So many good things to choose from but my favourite are chilli chicken baguette, ham and cheese croissant, red velvet cake and the cinnamon scroll! Coffee is also always very good.

What a little gem! Came through recommendations of friends who left me salivating after our conversation. The place is a great find, with easy parking on Moverly rd if you want to dine in.

Atmosphere: quaint and rustic
Food: I hear the red velvet cupcakes are the bomb but on this occasion we took home the passionfruit tart. The tart base tasted slightly under cook and the passionfruit curd was a little too sweet for my liking. But I do look forward to coming back to try the other cakes, pies and lunch time baguettes!
Service: very sweet and pleasant staff

I visited this is busy little bakery for a quick bite to eat and a coffee after a surf at near by Maroubra beach. They had the usual cakes and pastries available, aswell as pre made sandwiches. There were quite a few people there ordering coffee, which I took as a good sign. They serve Allpress coffee which is usually ok. Unfortunately the coffee I got was a little weak, this could be down to how busy it was. I also ordered a sausage roll, which was tasty enough. Considering how busy this bakery is, they do provide prompt service.

The Bakehouse in south Coogee has the BEST sandwiches and an amazing dessert isle to keep my tastebuds fuming. With a wide range of choices, a healthy breakfast, lunch or treat, the Bakehouse is the best cafe to go and it's not too expensive!

Baron Letchford. Just ordered a take away Vienna with two sugars, not a stretch for a barista. We live local, very local, so was surprised that the coffee was cold at home. Even more surprised that the challenge of adding sugar and cream had eluded them.
A real shame as we had waited for this 'special' experience after seeing the great review that Mike Whitney gave it on Sydney Weekender.

The owners of this fairly large bakery seem to sell all the classics you'd expect to find in your local bakery like meat pies, sausage rolls, lamingtons, lemon tarts, cupcakes, banana cake, chocolate brownies, coconut slice and rum balls to name just a fe

Best customer service. Great place to stop , has the best coffee in Coogee, excellent selection of pastries cooked fresh on the premises . Really friendly staff and great customer service, which is lacking in alot of small businesses . I walked in when they were closing , after a long day but they saw me and insisted on making my friend and I a coffee, nothing was too much trouble, thanks guys
