Review Le Petit Cafe - Coogee

Stephen Godfrey
This cafe is far enough away from the beach that only a local would know about it so it has a cheery quite vibe. Stopped by for a coffee Thursday lunch time to find the inside tables already taken so I took an out side table just around the corner which is actually the entrence to the apartments above. The small coffee to have in was $3.40 and was quite good.

Now open all week - including Friday nights for dinner and a glass of wine (or two). My local so I stop in for coffee a few times a week. Good winter menu - try the home made baked beans - yum. Blankets and heaters for those who want to sit outside all year round.

My favourite cafe in the Eastern Suburbs! ☺ the food is delicious, the coffee is amazing ... service with a smile in a warm rustic setting!! 😃 breakfast brunch or lunch ... yummm! Will definitely be back ..! 😁

Do your self a favour and not waste your time. The staff are very inappropriate, particularly the barista. I had to pop over to the doctor across the road with my wife to get a whooping cough shot for my new born, unfortunately our child woke and needed a feed so I saw this place and thought I could drop them both over at this café as it was empty on Wednesday afternoon, I bought a couple of drinks to give some patronage and was going to grab some lunch after the dr appointment. Basically after 1 hour in an empty café the waiter spoke a stray cat (or their own cat) on the bench seat next to my wife saying if your not going to buy anything else best you leave. So we got the message and left and won't be going back. Why not just tell us you had an issue rather than make this first outing for us as a family this memorable.

Very disappointing! It's not French at all (the owner is not French actually). Very basic food, the crepe was small and the dough was not made with Buckwheat flower. Cafe was empty. Waiter was nice!

Very nice food and prime location right across from the beach as you can look at the waves while eating food, nice section of food and drinks allowing you with plenty to think about. Price wise is a little expensive but worth it I would say.

Used to be my favourite cafe, but waited 20 minutes at my last visit for a take-away crepe, that was inedible.

Great coffee, relaxed rustic atmosphere. Standard breakfast items

The croissant I had looked nothing like the one in the photo on Zomata. There was not a flake to be had - it was like a croissant you'd pick up at Coles or Woollies. Why the 4 star rating?

Good customer service, quality food at reasonable price and nice and quiet to study/read. It's a shame they are so far away from the cbd of coogee. Will return back for a quiet coffee

There’s a delicious selection of pastries, breads and savoury or sweet crepes and the vibe of the cafe is completely relaxing.

This new cafe of only 5 weeks definitely matches its name of being 'petit' with small outdoor seating and tables apparently designed from recycled timber by a kids furniture maker in the Blue Mountains. The decent tasting Cafe au Lait is served in a tradi

The moment of truth at breakfast is when you slice open your poached egg... Sadly all 3 of our eggs were cooked completely thru without a drop of yolk to be had to dip out meal in. Thought this little place had potential but we left disappointed. I'd only come back for the coffee

This little gem is just around the corner from our house in Clovelly and we totally missed it. The coffee is off the hook good, possibly the best we've had in Sydney. Very fresh food, perfect poached eggs and friendly staff. The cafe has a lot of charm and character going on. This looks like the new hang out. Just go.

Great atmosphere and pretty good coffee. The toaster with a poached egg was nice, but had room to improved.

Awesome little place for breakfast. Hard to find places now that will either want to, or can cook a poached egg. These guys make the perfect egg. Put it on a plate with fresh avo, Turkish and well cooked haloumi, serve with a perfect latte and you have just found a customer for life Le Petit Cafe. Love it
