We had breakfast at Driftwood Cafe on both days we spent in Cooktown. Loved the view out to the esplanade and the ambience. Staff were very courteous, and all the food was great. Would definitely recommend any of their freshly made juices, especially the "rooted".
I have breakfast here every now and then, and they never disappoint. Staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is tasty, and the view from the balcony is beautiful.
If you're in town this cafe is a must!
The gluten-free raspberry and ricotta pancakes were SENSATIONAL - possibly the best breakfast I've ever had, so deliciously light and fluffy and tasty!

Nice little Cafe with a view. Had coffee and cake for dessert. Both were delicious. The staff was very friendly.
The food here was very nice. A shame they are understaffed at the moment 😕 but small town high season and other places struggling as well. Enjoy the coffee ☕

Great little place, single staff worked with a reduced menu, but did a great job. Very tasty food, best grilled ham & cheese sandwich I've had in a while. Excellent smoothies
