Had the cauliflower tacos. One of the best taste experiences I’ve had in a while! Fresh, zingy but balanced with delicious soft tacos & slaw. The sauce enhanced and the banana bread that followed also delicious. Friendly staff & no trouble to leave out the ingredient I didn’t like. I’ll be back
Popped in for coffee and toast, Great house made Jam, music selection was on point will be back for sure.
Rockleigh has the best coffee and breakky in Coolangatta by far. Poached eggs on sourdough, farmers bowl with quinoa, and bircher with a nut granola, are just a few examples of the amazing food which delivered with effortless style. Its friendly staff remember your coffee order (which makes you feel so special!) and the rustic, comfortable, beach shack decor really adds to the whole experience. Best way to start the day.
Delicious little cafe in Coolangatta! We had the BAE roll, Banana bread w espresso butter, Roast Pumpkin salad and some piccolos. So tasty and fresh!
First cafe we liked the look of on our holidays

Best food in coolangatta!!!!
Awesome coffee, great atmosphere and great service!
Lovely little spot, great interior and delicious coffee. We also shared a bacon and egg roll which was ridiculously good. Only downfall was the service was a bit lackluster. Otherwise on point, highly recommended.
Went there twice on our 4 day trip to GC from Melbourne and loved it. Excellent coffee (really smooth) and great menu. First visit had the smashed avocado with pumpkin hummus and partner had the poke bowl, both delicious. Next was for brekky - went simple and both had poached eggs with sides (me avocado and partner mushrooms) - spot on. You can tell that these guys use local, fresh produce and the sourdough was YUM! Fit out is really cute too and staff very welcoming.
At Rockleigh we ordered the Buttermilk Waffles with Lemon Curd, Honeycomb, Poached Pear, Chocolate & Nut Crumb, Vanilla Ice Cream & Lemon Balm. This breakfast was one of the most amazing sweet dishes I’ve ever tried. The waffles were cooked perfectly, crunchy on the outside but light and fluffy on the centre. The freshness of the pear and seasonal fruit broke up the sweetness from the rich honeycomb and the lemon curd balances out all the flavours. It was an extremely well presented and thought out dish. The flavour combinations were terrific and I can’t fault this dish, it’s one of those dishes where you don’t want to eat anything more so the tastes stays with you for longer.
I had the beef burger, it was 10/10. Best burger I have had.
My partner had eggs on toast with avo. Very generous serving.
Staff were really friendly.
Overall great experience. Will return and recommend.
Rockleigh Café in Coolangatta stands out for its difference. A street away from gleaming white sand you’ll come across the equally white-washed wooden shopfront of the café – fresh and bright yet earthy, reminiscent of a farmhouse. There’s also something grounded about its owner, Ben Moffitt. Growing up in a third generation dairy farming family on their property ‘Rockleigh’, near Bega, New South Wales, today’s trend of growing your own food was just a part of life.
