We are spoilt in our area at home in Melbourne for good Indian food and were delighted by the quality and the fresh ideas to enliven dishes in this lovely warmer climate. We both found the Tandoori fish was a stand out. It’s a must try for foodies if you are in the area! Oh, and the service was efficient and friendly.
Best India food. The flavour of indian spices was amazing. In love with paneer tikka it was fab and naan was also very tasty. The atmosphere was also very pleasing. Totally satisfied.
Amazing food, exceptional ambience and experienced chef. Paneer Tikka Masala and Cheesy garlic naan takes everyone back to India Better than Manjit's Wollongong.
Went as a party of 10 and selected 6 different curries. 4 out of 6 were varieties of meats, 1 was vegetarian and 1 fish. Only one dish was not perfect but still very good just meat a little tough. Loved it so much I'm having my birthday party here.
I've only ever had take away from here but last Friday night I had dinner with some friends and was impressed by the service, atmosphere and food. Will definitely dine in again. We had two lovely gentlemen servers, Inder was great, 5/5 just for him alone. If you like Indian food this is the place to go.

Possibly the best butter chicken, fruit & nut saffron rice and mince-stuffed naan bread in the world ??? Have tried many of their other curries but the butter chicken is the best - these 3 items are all we get now, and are amazing every time. Prompt, friendly service. Didn't give 5 stars only because in my opinion, the other curries don't match the quality of the butter chicken - but the butter chicken sort of makes up for all that :)
Clean and tasty Indian food. Great and varied menu with super friendly staff....BYO an added bonus. Our large group with children was well catered for.
Extremely tasty. Had a meal with my folks and found it absolutely delicious. 🙂 $133 for 6 people to feel stuffed is good value. Stuffed with a big smile from the tasty food is great value. Very worth it.
Quite possibly the best Indian restaurant in the Illawarra region in terms of taste... But feeling mild indigestion after having the food. Treat for the tastebuds 👌and trouble for the tummy 👎

Manjit's was a good find, I had never been there before. It got quite busy on the patio around 630-7 but it was still a nice atmosphere. We had tandoori prawns for an entree and I would not have them again! Quite bland. For mains we had butter chicken + lamb madras - both very good! I only wished for more nan.
Manjits have the best Indian food I have eaten, they have set the bar and now I rarely get it from other places because I'm always disappointed, no one else is as good. Butter chicken or beef vindaloo for me.
oh and it's not on the menu but ask for the garlic cheesy naan!
My family and I have regularly eaten at Manjits. It has a lovely ambiance, especially when it gets busy, which it often does.
The service I have always found to be wonderful and diligent. The food, finally is EXCELLENT being a vegetarian there is plenty of options to eat, that are authentic and delishious! The meat dishes I have been told are also wonderful. Manjits is a great place to eat with wonderful authentic food, which may be dearer than other places but is well worth it!
Fantastic Indian food, best in the Illawarra by far. Recommend to anyone looking for quality Indian food! :)
Overall, we reckon that the chefs did a great job with our meal, although the Tandoori could be slightly improved as it was too dry!!
Indian cuisine, together with Chinese, Thai and Italian, have been a mainstay in almost every large conurbation in Australia since the 1950s. Each of these cuisines have evolved from basic immigrant dabblings with Australian ingredients to styles of cooking available, especially these days in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, that are said to be more authentic, traditional and reflective of various provincial styles. One of my frequented places for Indian, just next in a neighbouring suburb, is Manjit's, easily spotted upstairs in one corner at one of the main traffic sets of lights in Corrimal, a location south of Bulli and north of Wollongong CBD. I always ask for their lovely concoction of mango lhassi (picture above) , the Indian-styled yogurt refresher essential on summery days, and also offered in plain or vanilla flavours. Manjit's provides a lunch bento-style offering of the thalli, more than adequate for each person in three varieties of curry, two wholesome slices of naan bread
Enjoyable India butter chicken, however for personal preference I think the meal was too sweet although this can be good if your not used to spice. Although great with all other aspects (takeaway).
We love Manjit's butter chicken, and also love coming for the lunch thali special (lunch tray) which consists of 3 curries, rice, salad and a naan. Great value and service also.
The butter chicken is delicious with perfect flavour, beats other restaurants.
Their regular menu also has some great flavours worth ordering.
We have had Manjits via take away (delivered)... It was very average, the rice was terrible and not fresh. There was too much sauce not enough meat/veg.
But...
The DINE IN experience was much much better. The quality of the food was great, good portion sizes and friendly staff.
I found it disappointing when we arrived for our mother's Day dinner, dressed up to see the take away customers arriving to collect their orders in dirty clothes and bare feet, just ruined the immediate feeling that it was a quality place to dine at. I realise they can't control that but maybe there's a different place where the take away customers can pick up their orders from.

Went for a Mother’s Day lunch. Very tasty food without the saltiness and oiliness of other Indian restaurants. I had my favourite matar paneer which was delicious with plenty of peas. Garlic naan also perfect as were the samosas. Great atmosphere with pink balloons to help the mums feel special and even a for them on departure. How thoughtful!
