Very highly recommended by a local we met! We weren’t disappointed!! Great authentic Thai food. Do yourselves a favour and enjoy! Best food since Thailand!!!

I order from here often but tonight I felt really dissapointed in my meal. I order the Tom Kha soup and the chicken was old and dry and grainy and the soup itself was quite cool. Pretty dissapointed .

Overpriced and tasteless. The worst Asian food we've had for years—so bad we couldn't eat most of it. The peanut sauce was oily, calamari tasteless, noodles overcooked and slimy, barely any pork in the $24 pork belly dish, and it was mainly fat, and tiny servings of steamed rice. Felt like uni student food at a restaurant price. Never again.

I am not sure if this place can really purport itself to be selling Thai food. Having lived in Bangkok for nearly four years, I am familiar with most Thai dishes and how they are supposed to taste and not one of the four items we ordered bore any resemblance to how it should taste. The Chicken Cashew Nut did not contain dry chili as this dish normally should, the basil beef included all sorts of other vegetables which are not supposed to be in it, and the fried rice came with a side slice of lemon (instead of a quarter lime), which I have never seen before. I suspect that the owners, chef and staff are not even Thai. In my opinion, the food was so far from being authentically Thai that I am reluctant to consider it to be a Thai restaurant.

We ordered the beef pad kee mao, chicken pad see ew, massaman curry and the bbq prawns to takeaway to my MIL's house. The massaman curry was given a massive thumbs up by my MIL who has very high standards with her curries and I can see why! The beef was tender and fell apart in your mouth and the curry was thick and full of flavour! My husband could not get enough of the prawns (fresh and cooked perfectly) but my favourite was the pad kee mao! I have been struggling to find an authentic tasting pad kee mao in Perth and this was it!!! I could not put my chopsticks down! Will definitely be back!

Great food and swift staff. Food is almost like eating in Thailand. Place is nice and cozy and wnd they will arrange food according to your needs. Price is reasonable as well. They do delivery for free as well near the restaurant which is awesome<br/>

It is a brilliant restaurant. Authentic Thai food, Really friendly service well priced.  We could not fault it and would definitely go again.

Six of us had dinner last night at Ocean Spice. It was my first visit in many months as last time it wasn't up to it's usual high standard. Reluctantly I join the other 5 guys who go regularly.<br/>I was in for a pleasant surprise as it surpassed my expectations by a considerable measure. One of the blokes ordered for the lot of us, so I didn't get the names of dishes but it included the normal blokey meat focus with rice and zero vegies. This included duck, beef, chicken etc, all delicious.<br/>Service was prompt and courteous, the only negative was the noise level although this is pretty standard these days and we're all going a bit deaf.<br/>This is a great local nosh, don't miss it.

Went on Saturday after viewing sculptures by the sea. <br/><br/>Really nice food, great Penang curry, impressed with red duck curry. First time I have been and it was a good first impression. Service was prompt and friendly,. Didn't have to wait long for the food either.

Got take away last night grabbed the green and red curries, figured at least one of them would be decent... Turns out both were quite possibly the best curries I've had outside of Thailand. Well played Ocean Spice, well played.

Love, love, love. We are regulars and we have never had a bad meal (not even an average meal!) here. We highly recommend Pho, Tom Yum, Tom Kha and the house special salad with chicken and prawn. Bookings a MUST in summer. Marie, Sue and Mark are welcoming hosts, and you're guaranteed a lovely dinner.

Nice little venue with great service. We had the pad Thai with prawns, vegetable stir fry, fried rice with prawns and seafood curry special. All the mains were great, the sauce in the curry was delicious. The starters were nice too. Came to $30 each, great price for Perth.

Everything was delicious, the authenticity of each dish made me feel like I was in Thailand again. The proportions were massive and defiantly was money's worth. The waiters and waitresses were all so helpful and friendly. Would be coming back again :)

Great Thai food, friendly staff and accessible location. The cafe's decor and size were better than I expected, having read a few reviews. We has to ask twice for the rice we ordered - we had curry getting cold on the table - but overall I can see why it's popular - fresh food, decent serves and there's nothing else on the beachfront to compare. Would be happy to get a takeaway there. <br/>The only disappointment was our booking experience. I booked online and was notified that the booking was confirmed. Having a few reservations about the booking system, I phoned and left a message to confirm the time etc. No one returned my call. When we arrived - no booking. <br/>To their credit the staff and helpful customers made a table available. But it's not okay to continue using a booking system that clearly doesn't work.

Have enjoyed Ocean Spice several time since it opened, but was disappointed when we went with friends last week.  The staff friendly but the food has lost the freshness and edge that distinguished it from other run of the ill Thai eateries.

Fabulous Thai food with an amazing owner. Always friendly and very honest with customers. Helped us order the right food and the perfect amount too! Pad Thai is sensational!

Great new restaurant. Been here a couple of times, very busy so make a booking but they're very accommodating of large groups. Food is awesome and great value. We'll definitely be going again.

Great!!. Delicious food for reasonable prices. The female owner (possibly?) is so helpful and friendly, she saw me take a photo of my food and immediately offered to take a photo of me and my girlfriend together, even running outside and climbing a ledge to get a good photo. Would definitely recommend

Pretty annoyed after our experience on Saturday. Called to see if we could reserve a table and were told they were fully booked but if we could get there by 7pm they would seat us, so myself, my husband and our 10 year old daughter literally ran the length of Cottesloe to make it with 3 mins to spare only to be turned away! A simple "no" would have allowed us time to relax, enjoy the sunset and then go elsewhere instead of rushing, ending up with a very tired and hungry little person and missing the sunset. Poor show indeed!<br/><br/><br/>-----16 Feb, 2015-----<br/><br/>Love love love this place! The staff are wonderful and the food is always cooked to perfection. Great selection of nicely crunchy veg in the meat dishes for me and a lot of great choice for my husband who's vegetarian. We end up here almost every week because the food and the friendly atmosphere are second to none without breaking the bank :)

Awesome food. I went to order something for quick eat and decide to take vietnamese summer rolls. The sauce and the rolls was very fresh and testy. Recommend to everyone try it.

Delicious. Absolutely beautiful meal. A much needed niche has now been filled in the Cottesloe area. We had a take away for the first time here tonight and will defiantly be making it a regular.

Amazing food by the beach. Recently went in to get some takeaway for the night, restaurant was bustling so assumed there would be a long wait. Was pleasantly surprised with the speed of food coming out and friendly service on offer. Food was very reasonably priced and delicious. Had the green curry and thai fish cakes, super fresh ingredients and packed with flavour. Will be going again for sure, would highly recommend!

Great meal ofter a day at Cottesloe Beach. We had a great meal sitting out in the Alfresco dinning area with a view of the ocean, My wife had barbecue prawns, she says its the best and most tasty she ever had and I had grilled fish. It was a meal complete with tasty vegetables and presentation was superb. The restaurant was packed full and really buzzing with excellent service and personal attention from the owner Marie.

Divine! Stumbled upon by chance and so glad we did. I judge a place by its Red Curry and this is right up there! Had the Thai Beef Salad and a couple of entrees as well. Everything was very fresh and FULL of flavour. Seems like a family run place and they are lovely. We'll be back many times. Give it a try :)

Great food, nice atmosphere. Had dinner at the Ocean Spice cafe on 20 December: nicely presented, friendly staff, attentive service and simply the best masaman beef i have ever had.<br/><br/>Will definitely go back there :-)

Simple and authentic. Great service, nice decor and reasonably priced lunch specials. I had the Pho for breakfast, it was flavourful and lite. Will be back

Chicken Green Curry. This had to be absolutely the "Best Green Chicken Curry" that I have every tasted!

Just go there. Great little new cafe restaurant about 100m from the water in Cottesloe. We had a window seat to watch the water and sunset. Food was great. Each dish its own flavour quite distinctively. Great recommendations from Owner Marie and the menu also has chef recommendations. Try the BBQ prawns. Delish! The other half used her fork and spoon to peel them (ugh!) just get stuck in with your fingers! BBQ Duck also super tasty. I didn't lick the plate but ... :) Spicier meals were spicy but didn't take over the taste of the food. <br/>If you have wine/beer with your meal there is a bottle shop round the corner as it is BYO.<br/>Will be back. <br/>Soon. <br/>With friends! :)

Amazing Food and great service. New Thai restaurant, very warm feeling. The owner was friendly and recommended us to try the thai green curry here and we loved it. definitely coming back.

BBQ Prawns. The bbq prawns with dipping sauce is a must try!

Just opened and definately worth a visit. The name of this cafe says it all, a combination of the Ocean and Spices, you can smell both in the cafe. A wonderful new place for dining in or take away with a yummy specialty Thai and Vietnamese menu. I was there over the weekend with a birthday party group and service was great. I had probably the best Pad Thai I have eaten and my lady's smile told me her choice of BBQ Prawns was a good one. Judging from the perspiration from one of our friends forehead, he was enjoying the Green Curry too! Plenty of empty plates was a tribute to the kitchen and very reasonably priced.<br/>Oh, and if you have not yet tried a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee - treat yourself to one here !!!

when I find a restaurant with an unblemished record and nothing but praise online, I take it as an excellent sign. One such place is a casual Asian restaurant, Ocean Spice Café, which has been open just a few months – to rave reviews.
