Great spot. Very chilled. Excellent coffee. Yummy food & service is always good. Very attentive
Beautiful food service staff and wonderful company
I went to Up Town last week for breakfast. I liked the atmosphere, the staff were really nice, and I liked how my coffee wasn't too strong. Just a few negatives:- My water cup was a bit dirty, I probably should have said something but I don't like causing a fuss.- The ricotta pancakes were a bit dry and crumbly. It didn't taste like there was any ricotta in the pancakes at all, and the other flavours were too overpowering. There was plenty of free street parking which was nice. I don't think I will go back to this café, as I am a lover of pancakes and they just weren't that nice.
Great coffee - synesso machines ✔️ food is diverse and delicious. Baristas know what they are doing (even watched them pour out my takeaway coffee as they realised they forgot to put a sugar in- they didn’t know I was watching, and made a brand new one). Almost 5 stars- food just needs a little more flavour
Superbe 42 degree salmon for lunch! The flavours were on point... the only thing is they took quite a while before looking after me (and I was right in front of the bar) but then the girl was very friendly.
Beautiful food, amazing coffee and impeccable service. Had the 'baked beans' featuring home made beans and a poached egg on sweet cornbread. Bacon on the side was very nicely cooked and the egg had a perfectly runny yoke. Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!
Came here for lunch a couple of times - the service was friendly and prompt. Can recommend the corn fritters which come with creamy scrambled eggs. Ixnay on the side of bacon though - rock hard and the fatty bit was still chewy. Had the gnocchi which was pillowsoft but lacked a bit of taste as it needed more pesto. If you're a fan of affogato, the homemade icecream at this café makes it special.
Came here for brekkie. They offer full-table service with water and coffee order taken quickly. I went with long Mac Topped up and the rosemary and parmesan waffle, smoked pulled brisket, house bacon, sauerkraut and fried egg. Dish looked amazing and was full of flavour; love when a café does something different. Coffee was excellent too. Will come back again.
loved this place. such friendly (& cute!) staff, menu is friendly for all dietary needs and selection of breakfast options vary well from sweet to savoury. i got the avocado smash & really liked having the little baguette type breads instead of a big soudough, made it less heavy. coffee was excellent. my friend rated her fritters very good & gave the avo toast a 4/5 :) lovely ambience & start to my saturday. thank you
Visited today with my mom for breakfast. We both had a long mac topped up while looking over the menu, then a short mac after our meals arrived: bircher and coconut chia pudding. Nice and sweet, went excellent with our coffees. Service was quick and staff friendly. It wasn't too busy though. Will def go back again :)
One of the best cafe experiences I've had. Friendly, attentive staff, delicious coffee and a fantastic menu. A fresh take on breakfast and lunch compared to any place in Perth - inventive and delicious ingredient combinations paired perfectly. We went at lunchtime on a Thursday so not sure how it holds up during a busy breakfast rush, but will certainly be returning.
Slow. Have been waiting over 30 mins for my chocolate fried toast. The coffee and milkshake came quickly. Have had time to read the entire weekend newspaper. 😴😴😴😴 it finally arrived. Very good looking dish but the toast is not chocolatey enough.
I liked this cafe. Fairly straight forward menu and very tasty burger chosen. The wait staff wasn't very familiar with the menu when questioned about an item!! Coffee was good. Service was good.
Awesome food and coffee with a great little vibe. More funky than stuffy old Napoleon St and the front area is perfect on a sunny winters day.
The first dish to come out to the table was our shared choice – ricotta dumplings with poached egg, mushroom and greens. The yolk was gloriously runny, working as a nice sauce as it coated the other ingredients. It’s a really wintery dish, and the ricotta dumplings were textbook. Fluffy and soft in the centre, crisp and buttery on the outside.
Wow how has this place only 1 review! Top 3 Perth brunch spot for me. AMAZING menu (sadly minus any matcha offerings!) however the coffee was reported to be very good. My chai was mild and tasted like it was missing a spice but still nice/not disappointing. But the food. OMG. Party in the mouth foodgasm material. It took almost 20 mins to choose between the amazing sounding dishes on the menu. I finally settled on the nashi hotcakes with pork belly and boy was I glad I did. Goosebumps for the first few mouthfuls then bliss for the rest. The other two went for the ricotta dumplings plus extra poached egg and avo which I forgot to ask about. Inside there are baked goods on display, the almond croissants are bigger than side plates and priced accordingly ($7). Menu items I thought were actually quite reasonable (hotcakes - $17, dumplings - $16). I will definitely be back to try more dishes. Service was nice and decor inside is crisp and clean. Dog friendly outside. I will be back asap.
Up Town got a nice all white decor. Staffs were friendly and accommodating. We shared Baked Eggs, Ricotta Hotcake and Crispy Pumpkin Donuts. Baked Eggs, although nice, was fairly thin (not substantial like other places). Ricotta Hotcake was moist and nice. Crispy Pumpkin Donuts was yumm, loved it. Coffee was good. They sell quite a lot of sweet items on cabinet too. They said they're going to change their menu soon. I'll go back and try their new dishes one day.
Had some really good food here. The pork belly was tender and not dry. And it went really well with the potato rosti topped with a smooth hollandaise sauce. The baked Spanish eggs were fully of flavor and the serve was big enough that we had to get a take away container so we would not waste the rest. The price wasn’t to expensive for where it located. Will decently go again.
Lovely place for a coffee + snack. The staff is lovely. I enjoyed my mocha with almond milk and my banana bread.
I would prefer just to have my coffee before my snack. :)
Lovely friendly place with great coffee. Haven’t yet tried the food. . Despite its Napoleon street location is friendly to EVERYone, casual and helpful.
