Review Amazing Grace - Cranbourne

Great place to sit down and have a meal. Dog friendly which is a bonus. They also have activities for kids to do/play with outside which is a good addition too. Food was great, easy to order through the QR code on our table or we could order at the bar. Didn't have to wait long for our food which was great aswell. Our waitress was really lovely, checked in on us throughout our meal which is always nice and the venue itself is quite warm and cosy. Not too overpriced. Would definitely return and recommend to family & friends.

The beautiful converted church architecture and decor is what attracted me to this restaurant after discovering it on Google Maps. We sat outside on this occasion however I got a glimpse of the indoor areas and they were beautiful. I booked a table at short notice so the system wasn't checked prior to arrival however there was ample seating on a Sunday afternoon. We were sat promptly and told to use the QR code to order, no offer of house water or drinks during seating which was a little disappointing. Pricing was reasonable and expected given the shortage of everything in the hospitality sector at the moment. The menu is expansive with lots of delicious options on offer. Our drinks and my entree came out quickly, with my main following short after. Unfortunately my companion wasn't so lucky, after an hour of waiting and no staff enquiries about where the food was we notified the waitress. It seems the kitchen missed the order as it came out not long after raising the alarm. This establishment has real potential, just need a little improvement on the basics.

Great atmosphere, very cute. Food came out super fast, was hot and really tasty. The pulled pork chips is listed as a starter but could easily be a main meal. Pay at the table which is very convenient. Only downfall is that there isn't too much on the menu. More alcohol than food options. Overall very happy

A beautiful place run by fantastic, friendly people. One of the most beautiful bars I've been too and had the food to match. The scenery and vibe was so refreshing alongside the classic jazz and blues music playing on the record. Mixed with the modern interior and bar, open outside dining amongst greenery and the converted church, this place is a must go for those in the area. Top food, top place and top people!

Great atmosphere on a Friday arvo. Semi-outdoor dining was nice with friendly staff and chill vibes. Food was quick (though wasn’t busy at the time!), coffees also blended with passion. Bit on the pricey side if you have a budget but you get what you pay for — definitely worth the spend!

Best to book online as it will let you know if there is availability or not (I called and they said they were booked out only to hop on the website and see there's availability and booked it that way) the whole place itself is amazing especially being an old church? Onsite carpark available, loud music when pulling up for the carpark but once you're inside you forget it's even there, plenty of space inside and outside and love they had a kids corner outside too The food wasnt the best the night we went, ribs were slightly dry and the steaks we ordered were burnt & tough. They also came out last when the rest of the table were full and seemed like the place was about to close (others had left already and we knew the kitchen was closing soon). Starters are on the expensive side of things especially for the portion you receive and very average taste. The drinks were very nice. Ordering from the menu via QR code was very easy and waitress advised if we needed to pay using cash that it was possible too.

We went for the first time even after reading so many reviews about this place being overpriced. Well the reviews are right. We ordered dips and flat bread which was for $18 that we felt is too much for that plate. We had smoked pork ribs which was nice but still expensive. I feel place is definitely over priced. It was a calm evening, not too much noise and respectful staff.

We each ordered the traditional breakfast and asked for crispy bacon and one with avocado. Hmm, the entire meal was cold, the poached eggs were over cooked and very watery, the mushrooms were swimming in oil which soaked into the toast. The crispy bacon was only crispy on the top that was presented on the plate. And the quarter of an avocado was $4. Both of our water glasses had to be replaced, my husbands still had lipstick on it and with mine the waitress noticed it was dirty as she put it down. The cutlery looks like it came from an estate sale. Very well used and scratched. We will not be in a hurry to eat here again. When asked how our meal was we were given a half hearted sorry.

Went for the first time last week on a Saturday night with friends. Great food and lovely service. The live music however was disappointing, we were sat on the mezzanine for dinner and it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other, had to yell to have a conversation. We moved down to the beer garden so we could chat. The music being played outside was far better then inside, only downside was it was a bit chilly. Outdoor heaters would be great would definitely come back again though!!

My friends and I loved it here last Friday. The food was 10/10! The service was also friendly! In regards to people complaining about wait times, we waited 40 mins which is standard for a busy restaurant on a Friday night! If you enjoy a couple of cocktails and the company your with then you shouldn’t need to complain how long food takes. Our local fish n chip shop has longer wait times! Will definitely be coming back here again! Thanks guys!

First time here today. You guys are so lovely! Beautiful place!!! BUT...... You need a sign on your door. Awkward walking to wrong door! Sugar needs to be on table for coffee along with a water jug as we had to ask 4 times for refills. Also wondering why you don't have mug options for your coffee?? Menu is also different on website to menu in house. Bathroom is lovely and clean, beautiful decor and then awful toilet paper?! Why? The tap also doesn't fit the sink! Try wash your hands You have to hit the sink Just a thought to keep customers happy

The waitress sat us right next to the door on a freezing Sunday night , I asked if we could be moved because of the door and she said “ it’s ok the door won’t be opened that much “ So insisted with a different waitress and got moved to table in the middle of the room Potatoes cakes were soaked in oil still , the roast was just ok Won’t be rushing back

We went for breakfast last Friday and the food was delicious. We loved it so much that we went back today (Friday) and was told they dont open until 11am. Such a shame, the website says breakfast from 8.30-11.30am and we were there before 11am last week. Disappointed

Great venue! Love the Jazz band and friendly staff. They have wine on tap that is quiet nice, great local place!

I was expecting an amazing experience but left pretty disappointed.<br/>We had a party of 16 people dining. Apparently only one wait staff was allowed to take our orders which was a slow experience. We had children dining with us and requested that their meals were delivered ASAP. After 40mins and children complaining about hunger the adult meals started to arrive to the table. Still no children’s meals for about 10mins.<br/>I ordered the beef brisket with potato hash. When the meal arrived it had been changed by the kitchen and I had not been informed which was disappointing as I was looking forward to the potato hash.<br/>The menu didn’t really excite me, the food was ok

The food was great, fresh produce done well, the menu has a wide range and good options, Gluten Free as well as Vegan catered for. <br/><br/>We were in the ‘green room’ and the interior look is good but was very noisy, it really needs some sound treatment. Service was ok (just) when you could get the attention of the staff they are very friendly.

Came here last night with a friend. Ordered the four cheeses pizza which tasted terrible only had 1 type of cheese on it, not 4? The dough didn't taste right and the presentation was sloppy. What makes up for this place is the lovely abundance and the way they've done it up. Very lively with a band playing. I came here 10 years ago at the old cranny taco bill this place is massive now.

For what used to be a Taco Bell, Amazing Grace have turned the restaurant into such a nice place for after work drinks, celebrations or for a simple dinner. The service was great and the food came out quickly. I highly recommend the salmon as it was cooked perfectly. I'm glad I got the extra entree of corn as I might have still been hungry :) Overall it was a lovely meal and I'll be coming back to try more of their menu.

This place opened up really great... the best place in Cranbourne... but unfortunately it has taken a huge turn for the worst.. <br/>Here for our staff dinner, no body asked ask for a drink until we got up and ordered ourselves after waiting 30mins. The drinks then took another 20 mins to arrive.<br/>The manager was clearly under the pump and understaffed... but rather than saying ‘please be patient’ when I politely asked if there were more bar staff. She was Instead extremely passive aggressive, made me feel guilty for asking and in a way suggested we put up with it because they’ve had a rough month...<br/>I’m sorry mate, I understand you can have a troublesome night. But that’s your problem and your responsibility to organise staff at Christmas time. I brought my staff here for a good night and paid good money expecting quality food and quality service. If you cant deliver that, don’t charge what you charge, or don’t open your doors. Because we received below average food, the worst Parma I have ever eaten and 0 service. <br/><br/>Don’t make your customers feel guilty for expecting at least an average level of service and food. You guys were a massive dampener on a night we were all looking forward to. We will absolutely not be back and will no longer recommend your pub.

Great ambiance & vibe. Has so much potential to be amazing, Cranbourne really needed a place like this, but unfortunately our drinks were forgotten, slow & unattentive service & very overpriced meals for what you get. Our meals also came out barley warm. Very much a let down

Amazing Grace has the best interior I have ever seen in a restuarant! They've really done up the place from its previous restaurant, with a beautiful outdoor area which will be a hit in summer. Friendly bartenders however food was a little slower then expected! Still a scrumptious meal- will be returning!
The Biker Foodie
My parents went there for their 62nd wedding anniversary. The staff were fantastic. Very caring and friendly towards an elderly couple still in love to this day.<br/>An impromptu cake was brought out and my folks felt extremely spoilt and chuffed!<br/>Great food, excellent service, certainly worth a visit.
Big Belly Full
Great food and ambience. Service was very friendly but a little slow. There’s a fireplace at the back of the restaurant and a beer garden outside the restaurant. Amazing Grace hold events such as comedy nights.

Beautiful decor and very cosy! Service was friendly and accomodating. Had the Korean fried chicken and potato cakes for entree, only down side was that the potatoes cakes were on the oily side. Pizza was amazing!! Will definitely be back :)

Nice fit-out / ambience; has potential but food was a let down. Meals were barely warm enough, and very bland. My potato and fennel soup was more like potato puree with some fennell seeds thrown in. And $14 for a green leaf salad is a little steep. Rather disappointing.
Much Ado About Food
We came here for a birthday celebration and the online booking system was super easy to use. They were also really good for sending up a follow-up email closer to the date and confirmation to ensure that the number of guests booked were still the same, etc.<br/><br/>I really liked the ambience. It was a great atmosphere and the service was great. They forgot to put through one of our meals and ended up giving it to us free-of-charge, which they absolutely did not have to, but it was a gesture that we really appreciated. They recognised that they made a mistake and made up for it.<br/><br/>The only issues we had was that some of the food needed a tad more seasoning. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavours were there, but a little more salt and a little more flavouring would have gone a long way. The food took a little longer to come out than we had expected and we had been previously told that our booking was for 90 minutes, but they were very accommodating as the duration wasn't a fault of ours, it was the time it took them to get the food to us.<br/><br/>I had the eye fillet steak with garlic butter; the steak was cooked to perfection (I had it medium rare) and was super tender, no running juices, perfectly charred on the outside, and it was like slicing butter with a hot knife. The only problem, again, was it could have done with a little seasoning. We also ordered the karage squid - it was also perfectly cooked, not chewy at all (so many places overcook squid/calamari and it ends up chewy and rubbery), but lacked salt/flavour. There was some table salt we added to it, which made it significantly more tasty than it already was!<br/><br/>Although, the food was all cooked perfectly, our party of ten all indicated that the food could have done with a little more seasoning, other than that, everything was reasonably priced and cooked very well.

I really love the ambience here! Friendly service.<br/>The Potato cakes, Saganaki and Korean fried chicken for starters were delicious and well presented! <br/>Although the dumplings were a let down. They didn’t have much texture and really felt like they were filled with breadcrumbs. Those could be improved. <br/>Mains, we had the Korean chicken burgers.. I like the concept but had too much kim chi which made the burger soggy and also under seasoned. I also got a chunk of cabbage core in it.. I think the burger would be better with a nice fillet of chicken with the same coating instead of a couple of strips. Wasabi kewpie: couldn’t taste any heat. <br/>All in all, I did love the experience and will come again real soon for another lovely night. It’s wonderful to have such a nice venue here in Cranbourne.<br/><br/>**second visit**<br/><br/>I have to comment on table service. We waited an hour for three entrees to come out. No one came to the table and we sat for over half an hour without a drink. We had to wave the waiters down every time for a drink. <br/>The waiter knew very little about the menu. I asked what the soup was and he didn’t know even though it said Chefs winter vegetable soup. <br/>Seasoning also. Chips, ribeye steak, mash had no salt and the rib eye was overcooked. Because we waited so long we were the last ones to leave and they turned the music off and the waiter started whistling really loud. When we left there was no one in sight. <br/>There was no offer for dessert, tea or coffee. I guess it’s all new and probably still finding their feet. I’d still come back but not until summer.

Have been here twice. First time, in the bar and had pizzas and potato cakes. Second time in the restaurant, Ploughman's Share Platter, potato cakes, margarita pizza and chicken parmigiana. <br/>Both times were great experiences. Staff, friendly, helpful and polite. Service is prompt and exemplary. <br/>Food good pricing along with generous serves or delicious food. <br/>Atmosphere in both areas was spacious, comfortable and warm. They have reservations now, so makes life easier. They will accommodate you even if you don't have a booking. Very pleased with the two visits we've had here. Will be visiting again for sure.
