Review Little Italy Cronulla - Cronulla

Cocktails were delicious, food was great! Staff were so lovely and let us stay with another table after the closing time and didn't kick us out at all. Vibe is great inside. Great menu.

This place is just so so good, great pizza and fabulous food, friendly fast service and the owner is a real host. Congrats to you Little Italy. I will be back soon. Well worth a visit.

Wow! So tasty, authentic and clean food. The pasta, the pizza and lets not forget their desserts are the best, PERIOD! The atmosphere is so warm and feels like home. The entire team is fabulous and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. So glad we have a gem so close to home.

Wasn’t too bad. Staff were nice. But the toppings didn’t taste fresh. Tasted like toppings you can get from Coles and Woolworths. Crust was standard.

Visited Little Italy last week for a friend’s birthday. The food and service were lovely. The only thing I found disappointing was that our group of 6 was charged $16 for two 1L bottles of still table water. As this is unusual for a restaurant, since table water is usually free, we would have appreciated being informed by the staff that we were paying $8 per litre for water.

Had coffee and dessert here last night with my partner and family. Great priced menu! The staff were beautiful and gave lovely service. Thank you team!

Our fav neighborhood restaurant always serves a warm welcome with smiles all around while creating lovely meals. Feels like “home”. We have never been disappointed with anything on the menu-it’s all quite well done, from pizza to steak to seafood. And of coarse, the arancini...the best we’ve ever had!!! Keep up the great work, Marco, Maria, and the rest of your wonderful staff!

The food was great but the service was terrible. Took ages for food to come out. Kids meal came even later. Difficult to get the attention of waitress. No spoons given for pasta or risotto. So noisy you could not hear the person next to you. Never again!

Everything was great except for the food had to much salt.but I still recommend this place.

Exceptional food - love the staff - yummiest Italian - nice relaxed restaurant 👌

Really disappointed! Service was very slow. Take away seemed to have priority over dine in customers. Sitting in a restaurant watching staff more preoccupied with take away orders going out constantly than attending to dine in customers, is not what I would rate as a good restaurant experience. It took an hour and 15 minutes to get our meals.

The food was perfection. The service absolutely wonderful. I felt like the chef got in my head and knew exactly what I liked and how I like it.

Am sorry for such a bad rating but tonight's meal was both appalling & expensive $72,50 for 2 pepper steaks & 1 garlic bread. Mashed potato (instead of baked) - was vile - it literally ran off the plate - so very watery and with way too much garlic. Steak with pepper sauce - again sauce very watery - hardly ANY pepper flavour - the steak arrived cold and sitting in this floating no-flavour gravy. Broccolini - over boiled - nothing like the carrots we used to get. Am afraid this will be our very last order from Little Italy Cronulla. I appreciate the team is busy, but the quality of food was so dreadful my husband binned his. Disappointed.

Went to Little Italy for a birthday celebration last night with a group of 14 people, we booked the table ahead of time seeing as though it was a Saturday night and knew it would be busy. Being a large group we ordered the set menu and could not have been more disappointed. There wasn't enough food ( not even enough herb bread for each person to have a slice each) some of the pasta was cold and when the 3 pizzas for 12 adults arrived over an hour later (2.5 hours after we ordered) they weren't cooked. The service was even more disappointing. We had to go looking for waiters to order drinks, were charged corkage for our wine and again had to search for a waitress and ask several times for wine glasses, no wine cooler was offered. Again we had to search for a waiter to take our coffee order which was the only item to arrive in a timely manner. After a very frustrating and long 3.5 hours of terrible service we left the almost empty restaurant very disappointed. We were told that the restaurant was busy but many other large parties that arrived after our group were being served drinks and food before us and were leaving before our food had even arrived. I have eaten here before and been very satisfied with the food and service, sadly last night was a whole different experience. I will certainly not be going back or recommending them to anyone from now on.

It was very hot in there as a hot night but the location, menu and food were amazing and the service was friendly. We would definitely go again.

I enjoyed the well cooked meal but wish they hadn’t changed their menu. Now looking for a great Steak Diane somewhere else Lol

The food was good, the restaurant is very noisy! Not a place to go for a romantic dinner. Lots of noisy children. The service was ok. We had to ask for pepper, and cheese.

Great food but shit service. Took ages for orders to be taken and even longer for food and drinks to come out. The food made up for the delays.

We visited the Cronulla Shire and stumbled across this fantastic restaurant. Thanks so much for the awesome service & sensational food. We had a ball and will definitely be back next time we’re down that way Recommend this place yo everyone hydrothon #hyrdothonnextgen #macquariesports

Great pizza base! Asked for extra chicken, I'd say 3 or 4 cubes of chicken was added

Enjoyed the pizza here. Food took about 45mins to come out for a Friday night. Way too many people here during covid.

Went there for lunch with hubby n daughter. Promptly seated by the hostess.

The decor is lovely and quaint.

We ordered a Pollo pizza and a Gnocchi Gamberi & Asparagi.

The pizza was average but had a nice crust and was not too heavy. The gnocchi was yum.

We ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it was so good! Light and creamy..had us craving for more.

Centrally located, beautiful ambience, lovely service and yummy food. Definitely coming back!!

My ratings:

Food - 5/5

Ambience - 5/5

Service - 5/5

Ordered via deliveroo earlier in the week. The food was really well wrapped up so there was no spillage, and everything was still hot on arrival. The seafood was ok, didn't taste like they were fresh. The tomato and herb sauce the seafood was poached in was delicious. The gnocchi bolognese.. The gnocchi was a good texture, cooked well and tasted good. But the bolognese sauce was pretty average, despite it being a popular dish. The flavours of herbs gave a strong fragrance which was good, but the taste didn't really deliver.. Really just saltiness came through, and there was a lack of depth of flavours..

Ordered a '5 Fomaggi' pizza bianche (listed as mozzarella, provolone, gorgonzola, salted ricotta, parmesan), and was quite disappointed. Received a pizza with grated mozzarella, shaved parmesan, & pre-grated parmesan on it. No salted ricotta, no perceivable gorgonzola or provolone.

The parmesan was overwhelming, throwing off the balance of the pizza, and the base had no white sauce, garlic, herbs or perceivable olive oil (I'm aware pizza bianche has no pizza sauce but the crust should be/ is usually brushed with something for flavour, not just covered in cheese alone). Without the variety of cheeses expected, or a brushing of herb/garlic oil to liven the pizza, it tasted like a plain grilled cheese sandwich - not something I'd spend $24 on.

The arancini ordered was similarly disappointing, being filled with a large amount of very hard, stale, withered & discoloured peas, that I had to pull out, and not much else. If the peas were omitted or fresh baby peas were used instead, these would have been great, but I don't want to have to pull peas out of my food because they are so old they're hard to chew. The plain pumpkin puree served with the arancini did not suit in my opinion, and would have been better replaced with a tomato based sauce.

Not all was bad! My partner's 'pollo' pizza had tasty toppings & pizza sauce, and both pizzas had lovely woodfired thin crust. The tiramisu dessert was excellent & well balanced. However, this is at least the 4th time the food has not been up to scratch for the prices, so I had to leave some feedback.

We’ve driven past many times and noticed how busy the place always is. This Sunday evening we felt like some good Italian pasta and we were in the area. We got the last table and it was pretty busy for a Sunday evening. We decided on the special and a cream sauce pasta. I must say we were tempted by the look of the pizza but stayed with our initial choices. Overall, great staff, great food and great atmosphere. We will be back to try the pizza next time! .. judging by the constant stream of Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Menulog drivers, the place is popular for pizza and pasta home delivery.

Having been here maybe 5 times now this place never fails to impress. They manage to nail every aspect of hospitality., our waiter was attentive and professional. Despite the place being packed, we never had to wait to be served, place our order or get our food. The food itself is something else entirely, all other aspects pale in comparison to the amazing quality of every dish. I can’t stress how great this place is enough. If they tell you you’ll have to wait, then wait!

Been here a number of times over the years. It has clearly upped its game and while it offers authentic pizza its menu also includes great quality dishes. Loved it and the position across from the beach is great!

Very busy restaurant and had to keep turning away customers when there was a free table of 3 next to us for the 2 hours we were there. The waiters were very pushy and kept asking us if we were ready to order our mains... Communication between the staff looked confused and took us a long time to get our drinks. Did not get asked if I wanted an ice bucket or glass for my wine. The food on the other hand was very nice and hot.

Former employee. Little Italy loves to save money, so the pizza toppings are sparse and the dough is ridiculously thin. Ice cream servings are to be minuscule and we aren't allowed to offer free entrees or drinks to make up for the fact that your food will take up to an hour to get to you, because it's understaffed even on the busiest nights.

If the staff look like they don't want to be there it's because we really DON'T. Most of us are underpaid and are only sticking around because we can't find another job. Employee turnover rate here is high because the second an escape is seen, we take it.

DISGUSTING FOOD AND SERVICE. This has to be the worst Italian place i've been to in years! The restaurant is always busy and a friend mentioned that they have ok pizzas so i decided to give it a go. Boy was I rudely shocked. Even though it was clear that the young waitress was a nice person, the complete lack of organisation within the restaurant had the girl in scrambles the whole night. Im not sure what kind of management is running this place, but it was obviously understaffed as there was little to no table assistance, and the one waiter available was literally sprinting from table to table. Our drinks came half an hour late and out food came out cold, and at seperate intervals. This meant that some people had finished while the others were still eating. To top it all off my dish (the chicken with pikata lemon sauce) came swimming in a disgusting pool of melted butter, and they gave us the wrong bill! Needless to say I will not be coming back and i recommend that others avoid.

WORST SERVICE EVER. I would highly recommend dining somewhere else. The food was good but service in organizing my mothers surprise 60th party was a fail from the first phone call to the end of the party including; not serving the correct amount of food pp (set menu selected), BAD service from the staff, staff cleared plates before people were finished and had to reset the table when more food came out, charged for $160 worth of alcohol the manager told me would be complementary after all the stuff ups, Manager had the WORST attitude and most horrific customer service skills I have EVER seen. I will never dine there again and will pass on bad reviews to every person I know after being treated like that!

SERVICE WITH A SMILE. Had dinner with my wife last Saturday and I was very satisfied with my overall experience. I ordered the Fettuccine Bosciola, Wood fired Four Season Pizza & Gourmet Calzone. Was Superb! The Food was fantastic and the Service was even better. The Manager Dave was lovely and made my experience very memorable. All the wait staff were first class and to top it off the food was out of this world. Great setting, Busy but felt as though we were the only people dining due to the world class customer service. Definitely be returning to the restaurant and would recommend Little Italy to anyone that will listen. 10/10

Monday night dinner. We went for dinner on a Monday night.

Pizzas were nice, well cooked with a nice base but toppings were slightly lacking.
They also didn't have a lot of their drinks listed on the menu (it was easier for the waitress to tell us what they did have!)
The gelato for dessert was beautiful.

Overall quite good, just a couple of small things. Would go back.
7/10

Dual Birthday Celebration Dinner. A tried and tested dinner option and never lets the family down. I was a first time dinner and they accommodated all my dietary needs with ease. The food was excellent, fall off the bone perfection! Service was great and the table staff really attended to us well. Would go back any time.

Disappointing experience! Staff were unattentive and displayed poor hospitality skills. Meals were brought out at different times and pizzas burnt. Very rude male waitor who had to be asked three times for a take away container and finally one was just thrown at us. As a Wednesday night it was not that busy. Pass on this one.

Penthouse to the S...house. Booked Table with owner for 7:15 last Saturday arrived 7:10 the owner had given our seat away then placed up upstairs with 50 kids and us sitting in a blind corner we complained then they moved us to a small table downstairs, at the back, right near the toilet exit door which opens every 1 minute. The wind blowing through there could blow a dog of a chain. Then eventually arrived my pastait was cold and my lady's steak well!! u could see the whip marks from the jockey on it and tough. Never never never again

Roro. Disappointing dining experience. Have only ever been here on group bookings (never by my choice) and although the last time I dined here was several years ago it hasn't improved one bit. Either they are continually understaffed when they have large group bookings or they just can't be bothered paying for more staff to come in, I'm not sure which one. We had a booking for 40 people and 1 waiter who was completely overwhelmed. There were no wine glasses on the tables when we arrived and took well over 20 minutes for them to be delivered. Many of our party dropped wine into the restaurant earlier and that took at least 15 minutes to be delivered to the table (no good having it if you don't have a glass!) One of our diners eventually got up and sourced glasses themselves. Perhaps the restaurant manager should have stepped in and assisted. Food was so so and took forever to appear, it's like they weren't expecting a big party to arrive.

Nice pizza but service a little unorthadox. Not giving Little Italy a thumbs up or down, doesn't deserve either.
had the pork & fennel sausage pizza, was quite nice, also had a glass of the GSM which was also very good.
the let down of the restaurant were the management, the staff were a little all over the place, seemed to have minimal training. they forgot our salad, no biggie but another little thing. when leaving the restaurant, one waiter was questioning another on why a table was complaining, right in front of me, openly discussing the complaint.
would i go back, yes, the pizza is good. would i bring friends there...... probably not.

We came in for dinner Saturday 19/10/13 just as they opened for dinner. Staff were friendly and welcoming, but seemed pretty disorganised. My husband's pizza was wrong and had loads of anchovies on it making it really unenjoyable. We advised staff of this and they offered to make a new pizza, however this would have taken a significant amount of time and my meal had already been brought out 10 minutes before. We were not offered any other option and walked out paying $70 for a fairly average experience. Little Italy used to be great but the last few times we've been it has seemed to really go downhill. There are better places in Cronulla you could visit.

BAD Manager. Saturday night - per booked table - waitress was lovely, waiting 15 minutes for our wine to be corked was forgivable - after ordering 4 mains 2 pastas 1 risotto and 1 pizza we patiently waited. All mains bar the pizza arrived. I asked 3 times before getting up and asking the pizza chef myself where the pizza was 15 ,minutes after the pasta and risotto was finished. The pizza finally arrived and was lovely - the waitress apologised and told the table the pizza would not be charged and free dessert was available to the table as an apology from the manager.
Upon paying the bill the lmanager charged for the pizza when I mentioned the waitress had said the manager had advises we would not be paying for the pizza she asked if it had arrived - I replied yes - she advised then she was charging. My response explained it was 30 minutes after our mains and the waitress had said the manager had said we would not be paying... She then commented she was the manager huffed, screwed the receipt and threw it in the bin, and printed a new receipt, did not look my husband in the eye snatched his card and pushed the terminal back in his face - customers waiting for their take out commented on how rude this lady was who had mentioned she was the manager on shift.
I understand when restaurants are busy - but at 8pm on a Saturday to be paying for a meal when you had been seated at 6:30pm one meal to to arrive and getting a rude exit from a manager is not what is expected from a Cronulla restaurant. Not somewhere I will be rushing back to unless management changes and attitudes are dropped - everyone works stressful jobs doesn't mean you take it out on the customer.

Stay AWAY!. We came here after I had made a reservation and found the staff rude plus they put us on a tiny table behind another table. There wasn't enough space for 5 adult men and we had to literally climb behind the other table. When this table was leaving we moved a spare chair to our table and then we told rudely to move it back. There never was anyone on the table so why could we not have to chair?
Everything else went wrong and the staff WERE horrible.\
Stay away

Absolutely disgusting management. My group of 7 for my 19th birthday dinner, arrived about 15 minutes before a 'late Christmas party' group of about 50. Our table had been set for 5, so we were moved to a larger table upstairs. Upstairs has absolutely no soundproofing and hard surfaces, so the sound pollution was insanely loud. We could not hear ourselves think once the Christmas party arrived.

Complained several times to the staff, who were of absolutely no assistance, and made no attempt to reduce the extreme noise from the other party. Ended up basically inhaling our food (which arrived late and cold) in order to just get out.

Complained to the manager who was extremely arrogant and did not care, and to quote him: "Why should I go up there and ask them to be quiet when they're here for a good time?" Needless to say, that put a horrible end to what was supposed to be a great day. Absolutely disgusted. Save yourselves the trouble and DO NOT eat here.
Leah
My review. I went there the other night with a group of 8 people.
on arrival they showed us straight to our table and gave us the menus. it was a busy night that we went, but we still managed to get our order taken relatively quickly. the food was great.
on the other hand when we asked for water for our table it took them around 30 minutes to do this. when the water finally came, we were only given 3 glasses and told that they were out of glasses and we would have to wait. this took another 30 minutes for the remainder of the glasses.
after we had eaten and wanted to get out bill, we had to ask twice. we finally got our bill and were able to leave.

I've never had a bad meal there it's amazing I love it I suggest the mare e Monte pasta delicious!!!

This restaurant is very disappointing. I went to little italy cronulla recent for a hens party. We had a group booking for aproximately 10 people. Upon arrival we were taken to our table that was not set properly. We were not served for a good half an hour. We had to ask for a menu and were never offered drinks because "they had run out of glasses". Yet they continued to accept customers into their already crowded restaurant. One of the girls from my group had to go to the local super market to get plastic cups and water because the restaurant has nothing to offer. When we finally served it took an hour an a half to get our entree even though another group had arrived 30 mins after us had already finished their mains. We were not provided with sufficient cutlery for our meals and did not provide us with new plates for our mains. The waiter expected us to use our entree plates. The pizzas were Also burnt. After our meal a friend and I went and spoke with the manager who believed the service was acceptable for a Saturday night. He said he had been in the business for many years. If that is the case he had no excuse for providing such appauling service. Had we known the service would be so poor we would have booked elsewhere. I will never go there again. We would have walked out had it not been a hens night. I think maccas would have been more enjoyable.
