Review Guzman Y Gomez - Cronulla - Cronulla

My two children’s kids chicken burritos, less than 1% chicken. All rice and a little cheese, $6 each. Terrible. My wife and I had ‘sautéed vege’ burrito which the only vege in it was 10 day old pungent red onion. So disappointed, 12 each and nothing but rice bean and old onion.

Fantastic healthy food. Clean, really fast and friendly service. Great option if you are on your own like myself or families with kids. Got the slow cooked pulled beef salad for my lunch and 2 pulled beef borrito's to take home with me. I am a very recent convert to Guzman y Gomez and wish I'd discovered them earlier

Wouldn't call this authentic Mexican, however what this chain does is done well with great ingredients, consistency and value. Come here often and really never disappointed, recommend if looking for good quality tasty fast food.

Staff and pleasant to deal with and the food we ordered was good. However, the venue was dirty and toilets were horrible. Broken locks, dirty floors, broken toilet seats or non existent toilet seats.

Today I visited Guzman y Gomez in Cronulla, and sadly I was disappointed. When this chain first opened in Sydney a few years ago, I tried the burritos and really enjoyed them. Since then however, I've learned to cook and make a lot of the traditional Mexican food options available here. I tried my luck with 2x Beef burritos, and a chicken dish they had on the menu. The food came out and it was underwhelming. I didn't enjoy the huge amount of rice they put on there, followed by the lack of quality meat and chicken ingredients. The Chicken dish was 85% rice and canned beans, and 15% actual chicken (if that). Mind you the prices for their beef burritos were high, and their chicken dish was more expensive than an actual whole cooked chicken. The food was poorly presented, the chicken was dry as hell, the beef burrito was lacking spice, seasoning and taste. In summary it was mostly thrown away. I won't be coming back here, the food is disappointing, and really expensive. This venue has become the definition of sloppy fast food. Sadly I have to admit that now that I know how to cook, places like this are becoming increasingly less appealing.

Cracker joint. Best Mexican food in the Sutherland Shire. I prefer it over beach burrito. My favourite is the Cali burrito. The condiments and sauces are all free at a self serve bar. 10/10

Best Mexican food ever 🇲🇽 The fastest staff in Sydney. Good quality of food, not bad from nutrition point of view and prices friendly.

Staff and food are excellent but the men's toilets are old and disgusting I done jail at long bay and the toilets were better I would not let a animal in there. My advice go across the road to council toilets...

Ordered delivery yesterday. Had two hard tacos (ground beef and barramundi), one soft taco (ground beef), and a quesadilla (grilled chicken) . The flavours of everything was good. The hard tacos were nice and crunchy. The barramundi was tender and did not smell fishy. The ground beef and pulled pork tacos were also very tasty. Was very disappointed with the chicken quesadilla. The flavours worked well but looked pretty much like a grilled soft taco vs other Mexican places where the filling is pressed between two tortillas. I guess it's understandable since the price was the same as a taco. I also had churros which was really good crunchy on the outside, soft on inside and extremely flavourful. The accompanying creme de leche was also delicious and not too sweet.

I ordered the burrito bowl with guac and it was a super tasty and filling meal. Flavours were there and sufficient amount of chicken. Not particularly standout but was good ! 3.5 from me :)

I went here for the first time of a Friday to try out some of the soft, chicken-filled tacos. To be honest they were quite small and although I ordered two, it was not filling. Nevertheless, the food was affordable and the atmosphere was wholesome. I must say it was a tad hot in the dining area, due to there being an open kitchen. Other than that, my friend ordered the nachos and seemed to like them a lot as the serving size was well portioned. Overall, the food tasted pretty good and the restaurant is conveniently placed in Cronulla.

I was so disappointed with the quality of the food.  We had burritos with our chosen filling and were 95% rice and mush and no meat.  Also the fries tasted like bad thawed frozen ones that are not pleasing at all.  The floor was so sticky and tables dirty. Just plain yuk.

Nice food, had a few negative visits.. I typically don't write reviews however, I noticed Johnapplegate's review on here and as a regular customer, I had to make a note that I had had a similar experience at Guzman y Gomez a few weeks ago. While I was ordering, the supervisor (unsure of whether he was the boss or manager) was yelling at one of the young employees which was very troubling to me as he seemed to get incredibly intense and rude and it was clear that she was embarrassed having this done to her in front of myself and the other customers. Over the course of my meal I noticed his continued hostilty towards his employees, as I was seated close to the kitchen. This was negative experience for me and I only hope that these kids are payed well. Despite this, the food is nice and otherwise the staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoy eating at GYG regulaly as it is nice to see the barramundi as a menu option, which I would certainly reccomend.

Food is nice, boss appears not to be. I used to eat at gyg regularly, however on my last visit, i witnessed the boss blasting one of the workers for a mistake on the cash register. I am hesitant to come back knowing my money will be going to a man capable of speaking to his workers the way he did. food has always been good.

I find the service, food and quality of my visits exceed my expectations every time. It's hard to believe this place is a chain, the owner and staff are so passionate about this place.

BEST MEXICAN

Kind of. I like G&G but look folks, Mexicans dont use coriander, they use parsley, entirely different. Once you put coriander in it, its Indian food, not Mexican. As a result I stick to the Barra burrito bowl, (no coriander) and the quesadillas.

Great place. Great food and enthusiastic staff with amazing service

Dissapointed. After enjoying the Bondi Junction stores many time I was surprised that neither the chicken nor the pork in our tacos and nachos in Cronulla today had as much taste as they do in Bondi. Quite bland actually...maybe they had an off day.

Finally! Real Mexican in the Shire. After years of waiting we finally have a GYG in Cronulla! My husband and I eat there at least once a week. And the food is so much fresher and tastier than the other places. The margaritas taste like real margaritas too.
