Review Inc. Cafe - Cronulla

Friendly service- great coffee Would like to comment on the Malteser brownie but my wife had it eaten before I got a chance to sample it- She seemed to enjoy it

Food was great but the service was a bit all over the place . They dropped our entre and brought our mains whilst we were eating our entres. Staff was lovely though

Service was great and we felt very welcome here, got into a nice chat with the bartender/manager. The food was delicious, just the right amount, very well cooked, and enough salad to make you feel good about yourself. Reasonable prices too! A lot of dietary options available, great coffee, not too busy on a Saturday night. All in one : a great spot for a nice evening.

Vibe was cool. My partner and I came in here on a quiet Saturday night and had very accommodating service and a nice chat with the manager. The salmon and prawns were cooked to perfection and the iced coffee is excellent.

Excellent little place for breakfast! The cafe boasts super funky urban decor and has a good feel to it. Coffee is good, and the little glass case of pastries are always too hard for me to walk past... I can definitely recommend the cinnamon bun. Delish!

Let’s be real... we didn’t rate it. Atmosphere was cool, staff seemed underwhelmed We got the paleo breakfast which included cold sweet potato and soggy flavourless kale. I personally had the BLT which was yeah.. nothing special. Although it wasn’t the worst I have no desire to really go back.

Excellent for breakfast with great coffee in a funky atmosphere with indoor-outdoor dining. Lunch & dinner menu is not large but good quality. Try the 5hr Cooked Lamb with Rustic Greek Salad.

Breakfast menu is more extensive that the lunch menu so get in early. The FAT (Feta, Avocado and Tomato) on toast is delicious and you can add a side of bacon if you're feeling carnivorous. Coffee is nice and strong and the cafe has a great vibe.
Georgia
Good food. We got burgers and milkshakes which was yum. Always good for breakfast and good location. Service was really fast and got food quickly.

My test for a cafe are the eggs Benedict. Unfortunately they were overcooked and not runny like the eggs should be, Benedict sauce was minimal which ended with 4 cut slices of dry bread (hard to eat) with no sauce or yolk to soak it in, the salmon however was nice and fresh. I felt that the cafe was trying really hard to make the dish stylish when it was not needed at all, eggs Benedict are pure awesomeness, they just need to be made properly. Chai Latte was a bit weak, more milk than chai. Have seen better places for breakfast. Might have been just a bad day.

cool place. For was beautiful and not expensive at all! The staff were good and friendly despite the place being so busy; they've got their systems down pat. Just make sure you book!
but next time i would expect better service.

(1.5/5.0) Inc Cafe is a bistro-cafe along the main shopping street in Cronulla. The comfortable and relaxing cafe features a cluttered interior with rows of wines and spirits on the side of the bistro and wooden tables on the other side. There was not too many surprises in the menu - the usual burgers and fish and chips

I ordered their fish and chips - some beer battered flatheads with chips. The fish tasted eerily similarly to packaged ones from the supermarkets - there was not any fresh natural sweetness nor was there any texture and flavour to the fish.

Went to Inc for a rare Saturday night treat. Inc was empty save for one table whilst the Thai restaurant next door was full to capacity.
I ordered quesadillas for starters and soft shell tacos for a main. My guests ordered fish and chips and salt and pepper squid.
The starters never arrived. Mains were delivered with a bottle of tap water and three plastic cups.
The tacos were fine, the chips with the accompanying meals seemed to have been reheated as they were lifeless and limp. We decided not to bother with dessert given our experience so far.
The service was friendly and except for the missed meal, attentive.
I left feeling like I could have just gone to the fish shop and sat on the beach.
The food was excellent and great service. Would recommend to anyone and definitely be back for the sweet potato fries anyday. it’s good to see a great range of options as well.

We went to Inc. using a Scoopon voucher ($100). We ordered Bruschetta which was good. For mains we both ordered Prawn Chorizo gamba but were later advised only one was available, this was at 12:20pm on a Monday! We ordered a Carne asada instead, the gamba was okay but the steak in the asada was as tough as leather - dreadful!
We also ordered a bottle of cabernet merlot but were later advised that bottled wine was not available using Scoopon credit so we then had to order wine by the glass (this is NOT mentioned on the voucher)! Obviously by the glass is somewhat costlier than by the bottle.
For desert we both had the sticky date pudding which was a dry muffin with a small amount of sauce - no ice cream or cream.
So in conclusion it did seem that Scoopon voucher users are treated with some contempt & distain. If businesses want to increase customers then this isn't the way to achieve it!

Came for a feed and was not disappointed , the paleo breakfast was very tasty and a great option to try on the menu. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Beer was good too and the atmosphere alfresco was lovely too. Staff very friendly and accommodating also .Check it out
Peachy Pie
Came here for brunch and their food is so fresh and freaking amazing! 😋 I gave it 4.5 because the guy who took my order wasn't smiling but other than that it was still a good experience.

New menu has some amazing dishes with Latin influence. We had the carne asada and were impressed. Chef does great job with guests making them feel welcome and special. Love it!

Burnt smashed avo toast and eggs (came out with no avo). Service was appalling, dirty plates everywhere and people were waiting for their meals for ages. Something seriously wrong with this place

Went today in a group of four, it was busy but not too crazy. Two of the meals came out and it was 20mins before the other two came out. So, by that time the first two people had finished eating & had to wait for the other two. Additionally, the two late meals, burger & fries & falafel wrap & fries, were cold. Whilst the burger & wrap tasted ok, the lengthy wait & the fact they were cold when they arrived was very disappointing.

I've eaten Breakfast and Lunch here countless times & I have to say it's my number 1 pick for Breakfast in all of Cronulla! The Big Breakfast is so good and always fresh and hot!!! Very generous portions too. The wait staff have also undergone some great service training because they were all super helpful, fast and smiling. 5 out of 5 today!

Good little cafe with a great menu. Always gets busy and food can take some time to come out especially on weekends. Burgers and salads are always a top pick including the coffee.
Lucyellaa
Definitely a favourite! Ordered the falafel wrap with tzatziki sauce, salad and side of fries. It was heavenly, the perfect ratio of sauce to filling, warm, chewy, and fresh. Will go to again! Was very happy

Great food, great value and location.

The perfect place to meet with a long lost friend or make a regular catch up.

Nestled in the heart of Cronulla Inc boasts a menu for anyone and everyone. Great atmosphere and solid service.

I have tried almost everything on the menu including Paleo deserts which were surprisingly delicious and light.

The salmon is cooked perfectly every time. The slow cooked Greek lamb is melt in the mouth goodness. The chicken schnitzel is the winner. You have to try it and ask for side of sweet potato fries. The soft shell crab tacos are also the ticket for lazy pickings with a friend.

A must at least for lunch.

Very disappointed with this place — it was perhaps the worst service I've ever had in my life. The staff were friendly but struggled to provide adequate service. Out of five dishes ordered only one arrived (though it was incomplete), the table water was dirty, and the rest of the orders were lost.

More training, better equipment (apparently the orders were lost in the machine), and providing customers water that they don't fee anxious about drinking would go a long way here.

It's fortunate there are many other great places in Cronulla to eat.

Went for breakfast with 3 others this morning and out of 4 dishes we ordered only one came out correctly. Our friend didn't get her tea until we were just about to leave despite asking three times where it was. It's hot water in a tea pot, how can it be that hard? Also, my partner's side of haloumi didn't arrive with his meal and again we had to ask for it. Lastly, our friend's pancakes were undercooked in the centre and when we told the waitress this she refused to listen to us and told us there was ricotta in the pancakes. It's pretty clear when you're eating uncooked pancake mix. Service was shocking. Won't be back.

Sat outside on grand final morning. Coffee was really really good by Whitehorse. I had a beans number and my gf was sold when she saw quinoa and halloumi on one dish.
Brunch On Joy
I don't venture out to the Shire often so discovering this brunch spot was an awesome find. Located at the southern end of Cronulla Mall, INC Cafe oozes an urban eclectic vibe with a pretty cool interior setup. The breakfast fare is simple done absolutely well and they offer all day breakfast until 3pm at the moment.
Molly
A nice place, very chill vibe. Staff have always been friendly whenever I've been there, but sometimes it can take a while for your food to come out or simple requests to be fulfilled e.g. More table water. Food is really nice though, always interesting options on the menu, reasonably priced.

Went to Inc with a friend for dessert after dining elsewhere, it was busy and while the staff weren't overly friendly we got a table with little problem and our desserts in good time, The chocolate brownies with honeycombe and nutella foam was fantastic!

Sprawled with a similar design to an Ed Hardy store and almost every table was occupied, luckily Lady Grace had made reservations as INC Cafe seemed like the place where many of the hip locals dined.

I instantly fall in love with the decor and I silently pray that the food lives up to the look of this funky cafe. Inc stands alone in mass of eating options in Cronulla, it does not play on the seaside location look and feel, instead it would easily be at home in Newtown or Darlinghurst.

Been here a couple of times and been really impressed by friendly staff and great food. Unfortunately not the case today, tried to book and they don't take bookings, turned up and turned away! Out for breakfast with friends and asked for a table but told we are full, no apology, no offer to wait for a table, no offer to move or dry one of the outside tables. I had really likes this place but my opinion now soured by lack of customer service.

Mmm .... ok. Mainly pleasant start to Sunday morning. Likes: variety on the breakfast menu, modern selections (ie paleo breakfast - pictured), quality of ingredients (ie non packet smoked salmon). Dislikes: Loooong wait in between ordering to getting food, salt shakers in extremely poor condition.

I felt like kale this morning. That's a pretty pretentious way to start a review, but I felt like kale. So I took a walk and ended up in inc. after finding out that they didn't offer kale as a side, which is totally fair enough, I went for the paleo breakfast. Poached eggs, mushrooms, sautéed kale, house tea smoked salmon, avocado. The waitress was great, and the coffee was good. The breakfast... Not so much. For starters, $19 seemed a little steep. And it was, for the portion size. The sautéed kale was bitter, under cooked, and not seasoned. The eggs were over cooked, soggy, tasted of vinegar, and also not seasoned. The mushrooms were covered in hard woody stems of herbs. In literally still prying them from between my teeth. They were also under seasoned. The avocado... It was under ripe, processed into a lumpy inedible paste and then also not seasoned. The smoked Salmon was horrid. It taste liked I'd licked the counter of a cheap fishmonger, and didn't carry the slightest hit of smoke.
I just can't understand how you can cook for a living, and still forget basic things like seasoning. Or trying to purée under ripe avocados. And more importantly, If you're not going to taste your food, and check it's up to a servable standard, then why are you charging close to $20, for a plate of food I'd happily never ever have to sit through again? It's a shame, because the fit out is rad, the coffee is good and the service was fast and friendly, but in the end, I'd go back for a coffee, but I'll never pay them for food again.

Terrible service, we had to ask twice to order coffee and then our coffee order got "misplaced" after our food came out. I don't like having my coffee after my breakfast. No apology, and even then the coffee came out slowly and was average. Never again.
Nem
Disappointing. Ingredients were stingey, service slow, coffee average. $17 for eggs benedict with only 1 piece of toast and hardly any salmon. the hollandaise sauce was mediocre. hardly any avocado on a dish who's main ingredient was smashed avocado. we heard another customer complain about the same dish and waitress argued with them but finally bought out some avocado in a little bowl. when we finished the plates were not cleared at all even though the shop was half empty nor were we asked at all if we would like anything else. For the price... def not worth it.

THE CINNAMON SCROLLS. Coffee is average but if you happen to get a warmed up cinnamon scroll you have made the right choice.
GRL
INC STINK. First and last experience at inc cafe. Terrible service with a 45 minute wait just for our meals only for the order to be screwed up and cold by the time they had fixed it. Will not be back.

Have had breakfast here a few times and lunch once. as the title says, it never disappoints. the coffee is good and the food is great. last time i had the russian steak sandwich, delicious, i will struggle to go past that next time.
they usually have a good specials board which is one of my favourite things about here.

Inc Cronulla. I loved the atmosphere of Inc Cafe - I loved the decor and my cool antique chair and the little vase of babys breath flowers on the table :D The menu was nice - I had the Chicken and Haloumi burger with fries, it was mediocre. My burger was a bit cold and there wasnt much flavor to it. The fries were delicious. The service was great and the meals came out fast. Good Price.

I would go back but not for the burger.

Used to be amazing. When it was still a fairly unknown place, I used to come here all the time for the food and, especially, the coffee. It was incredible in every aspect: amazing food, quality coffee (which is rare in the Shire) and great, friendly service. Since it's popularity increased, the quality of service has declined greatly with waitresses who don't seem to care about the customers at all, and the coffee is often burned or not as good as it used to be. I know it's a lot busier now, but I miss how it was, even just last year!

Great cafe in cronulla!. My partner and I were looking for somehwere to eat in Cronulla and decided to try Inc Cafe. It was an overall fantastic dining experience. When entering the cafe we were immediately greeted by a waitress (who we could see was quite busy) and then shown to an available table outside. This same waitress and a younger girl continued to provide excellent service (If i recall correctly- Jessie and Rebecca- thankyou, and the entire staff); ensuring we had water and menus straight away, taking coffee orders and then food orders, recommending great options for us and ensuring everything was okay with our coffee and meals. The coffee was a bit of a wait (as expected, on a busy saturday) but was of very high standard, and definently one of the best i've had in cronulla by far. The food was quick and the presentation and taste were spot-on. The restaurant has a great ambiance, and we could also see and hear nearby tables complementing food, service etc. When going up to pay another waitress asked us again how everything was and she was very pleasant.
We had such a great experience we have booked a table for dinner this week, and will be returning on a regular basis.

Love love love this place, best coffee and food. Friendly and fast service too.
Lozandco
Good affogato but the food was mediocre - salad came without the olives that we're on the menu and pizza was too cheesy and oily.
Kylie
Never Again. We waited 45 minutes until we enquired where our breakfast was only to be told that our order had not actually gone through to the kitchen at all. Would we like to re-order ? NO THANKS. Also proceded to charge us for the drinks we had. If they had been complimentary due to their mistake I might have considered giving them another try but not now when they couldn't even offer a complimentary drink after waiting all that time for nothing. Pathetic

My wife and I have been coming to inc for almost a year now. We love it! They have recently changed their menu which is great. The new steak sandwich is to die for. The staff are always in good spirits and happy to chat. The Coffee quality has dropped noticeably in the past couple weeks, change of staff/baristas. In saying that, it's the only negative we can put down for out favourite little cafe
Patrick0042
I had dinner at INC cafe lastnight. I'v decided that it is my favourite restaurant! The best in Cronulla by far!! The coffee is fantastic! The staff are happy, helpful, eager and attentive. The ambiance in the place is great and so is the new menu! In all it's a great cafe!
Beatrice
Good but not spectacular. We just bought the entertainment book with loads of restaurant vouchers and have decided to eat at a different place each week. I looked up the reviews here first and was expecting something amazing! I think it is good but over rated.

Dont get me wrong; ultimately we liked it! There was young friendly staff, it was kid friendly, the food was tasty and we liked the ambiance, staff tried to accomodate our needs ie. one of our children asked for a chorizo pizza which was not on their menu and they were happy to oblige. my veggie pizza was delicious. my husbands steak sandwhich was slightly tough but tasty; but hey we did not expect a prime fillet at $17! The coffee was good too!
The only downside is there is not alot of choice and my pizza came a long time after everyone elses. All in all great value for money and a pleasant dining experiece. I would go again. I think after reading all the rave reviews I was expecting something a little more special!

Inc cafe. Have always walked past this restaurant and thought it was tacky.. whats with the chicken coop fencing out the back? are we on a farm? and the half knocked down brick walls inside with fence on top.. which was covered in dust. got dragged here by friends because nulla nulla was full. waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged by the hoighty toighty waiters. your in working at a cafe in cronulla not aria circular quay. anyway i ordered pancakes.. emphasis on the plural. ONE came out with a pea sized scoop of ice cream.. $8. and a strawberry milkshake which was essentially a glass of milk with strawberry syrup at the bottom. asked for a split bill and got a dirty look and a sly eye roll. pretentious, a rip-off and tacky decor. never again.

My friend an i ordered the lunch specials, i had a chicken snitz and she had a pizza.... We also asked for a bottle of tap water. We originally waited ten minutes for the staff to acknowledge us, then another half an hour for our water to come (after we had asked AGAIN and no apologies from staff for forgetting) & then another ten minutes for our meals...which were very disappointing. Very quick to serve us at the register though!!! I wont be going back.
Gluestick37
Inc.. Such a disappointment. I'd heard from a few people that this place was good so we tried it... we waited for our breakfast for about half an hour. I asked for my bacon well done, it was soggy. I asked for no butter on my toast, so they flipped the toast over with the buttered side down the bottom thinking I wouldn't see it?! I ended up cancelling my order because we didn't have another 30 minutes to wait, no apologies from anyone. The decor is pretty terrible. If Ed Hardy owned a restaurant, this would be it, tacky and over the top. If you're looking for good bacon and eggs, the kiosk on the beach is less expensive and has a view of the beach, minus the fumes from the cars driving past.
Audrey
I was disappointed overall. I ordered a freshly squeezed watermelon juice which I tasted and the watermelon was not fresh and completely off. The food took a long time to come out. They seemed understaffed in the kitchen and maybe on the floor. We also ordered a starter of calamari and it didn't come out with aioli like it said it would on the menu. I'm disappointed I paid 6.5 bucks for an off watermelon juice.
Klairam
Unhappy. Really dissapointed.

Took 15 minutes for a drink order, then another 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive and they were not busy.

Lamb was overcooked and dry, octupus was burnt and awful.

Even when I said I was happy, they didn't care at all.

Never going back, need to focus less on image on more on actually serving customers
Megan
Best cafe in Cronulla. Great coffee, AMAZING service, delicious food. Love this place!
Christelle
FANTASTIC / AMAZING!. I booked Inc Cafe for a 30 person dinner on a whim, as I'd walked past several times and it always looked packed and I LOVED the decor!!! As it was a large dinner party it was a set menu - the staff were more than accommodating to my changing up a thing or two. Well...I was concerned, thinking that 30 meals coming out wouldn't be cooked the same - or wouldn't be as great as each other, I was WRONG! The food was AMAZING. Served in a great timely fashion, HUGE HUGE portions, and absolutely delicious. Each meal was hot, and just as great as the next. I had the lamb shoulder and it just fell off the bone - sooooo beautiful!! My guests raved about the food and the atmosphere of Inc. Jenna was fantastic, making sure everything ran smoothly and she always kept a strong level of communication and constantly made sure we had everything we needed. I had the best birthday ever, and it was largely in part to Jenna and the Inc. crew and the fabulous food and fantastic atmosphere!! Inc. cafe - you have THIRTY new fans!!!!!! THANK YOU!

Great Place. Have been there a couple of times. Food and coffee is always great. Went there for Wednesday Night, was busy and didn't have many staff on, the girl of coffee was friendly as i walked in and her coffee was really good.

All staff are always friendly and food is really delicious. A shout out to the owners for the look of the place, something different in Cronulla was needed.

Who would've believed a niche market could still exist for a (decent) bistro! But in Cronulla it does and "Inc" fills it most satisfactorily - dead set! Not only does it tick the atmos and food boxes, but it has real wait-staff too, who put hatted restaurants to shame. Big up for Mark, Jenna & crew.

Best in cronulla. If you are ever heading to Cronulla for the day or live there, make sure you go and eat at INC.
From the modern and alternate decor to the delicious and well priced food, this is the BEST in Cronulla.

I've been there plenty of times now and recommend it to everyone I talk to. I am a big foody and usually have something negative to say when something is not right, but this place is perfect.

The coffee is absolutely delicious and i have been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and all the food is amazing.

The atmosphere is incredible, with the pleasant music and friendly and delightful staff.. it's a great combination.

I recommend absolutely everyone to dine there, you will never go anywhere else.
Brad
Fanbloodytastic!. It has to be the best cafe in Cronulla. Much better than it's very over rated neighbours!

Great coffee, good food and cool staff. Oh, and bloody good value!

Something Different in Cronulla!. Went there for dinner last week, the atmosphere is great and the menus are a great idea. Nothing weird for the sake of being weird, it all ties in very well together so congrats to the design of the place. Service was a little slow but good intentions. Food was fantastic with a twist on all your favourites. Inc definitely raises the bar compared to the stupidly popular Nulla Nulla down the road.
Dessert was a let down, brulee wasnt set and the presentation could have being improved. Taste and idea of the entire dish was great though. Chefs thinking outside the square- love it, keep it up.
Will be back though to try some of those interesting cocktails!
Jrl88
Best value ten buck lunch menu! Lamb burger and mr angus yummmmm! Finished with a affogato and great service from the staff.

Loved the coffee and I really enjoyed lunch. Can't wait to go back. The owner mentioned a dinner menu that I can't wait to try.
