Review Mim's Espresso And Eatery - Cronulla

Sarah charles (Thewhereto)
We’ve been wanting to visit Mims Espresso for a while now, and when we finally did get the chance, lockdown was on, so we got takeaway. We ordered via the hey you app and picked up when we arrived (well the coffee anyway), had to wait for the food to be cooked as it seems the cook missed seeing the ticket. The food was packaged up nicely and we found it to be a good size. The menu has a good range of offerings and the chive scrambled eggs appealed to us. A huge serving atop a thick slice of crusty bread and accompanied with broccolini and crispy prosciutto and seasoned with chilli oil and parmesan. This was a great dish, and we thick a side of relish might pair well too. We also had the oat and spelt porridge which I had as a vegan version as I ordered it with soy (you can choose your milk). I really enjoyed this and liked that it was topped with poached pears, fresh banana and lemon balm as well as some strawberries. We got coffee too, and like the fact they use one of our favourites, Deluca. The store also had a range of pre prepared food to go such as wraps and baked goods. Hopefully post lockdown we can return for a dine in experience.

It is a neat and clean neighbourhood Cafe, staff were friendly and attentive, food and drinks were served relatively quick. Their coffee was pretty good too yet not offering skim milk option was unusual.

Perfect place to visit for a takeaway coffee after a morning walk. Fast, friendly service and great coffee.

On weekend mornings it’s very busy and the service is slow. It’s also a bit expensive. Apart of that it’s one of the best places in Sutherland Shire to go for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee break. The food is nice and the staff is friendly. I also like the looks, even though it’s not something very special.

Nice cafe, but too busy or not enough staff. Forgot our coffees although once we reminded them it took another 15 minutes. Food took over half an hour.. good food and coffee just get the service right

Very good food... i went there on saturday. Very busy place but still the food was fast.. they can improve on their platings. Coffe was average, got five star because of their friendly staff, including their two chef who was working. And the food taste.. i will definitely come back ..

Mim's espresso catered a large event for our family. The Chicken & leek pies, beef & Red wine pies and pork and fennel rolls were really lovely and the guests were all impressed with the amazing flavours and quality. Dom was very responsive to my messages and the food was absolutely perfect! Thank you kindly Highly recommended.

I love Mim's. Food, juice and hot drinks always good. Also service with a smile. Love the fact they have a bowl of water for dogs and the local dogs know about it and head straight for it. It is a very popular place in the morning.

Bit disappointed about the lack of table dressing and tablecloths for Mothers Day. Service was excellent, felt food was overpriced and only just above average.

Like most people we enjoy a great coffee on a Saturday morning. However upon being served we were asked wether we need a table or a takeaway....we decided to take a table and ordered 2 coffees. Over the next 20 to 25 minutes we were becoming frustrated as we watched the following 10+ takeaway arrivals receiving their orders before we received ours. To the extent, where we had to ask for our coffee, by which time we just wanted to leave. Good coffee but a review of your service to the waiting customer needs to be revisited.

Fathers Day Breakdast was delicious and the service was excellent

Great food, great coffee. Corn cakes were perfect for lunch.

Pleasant atmosphere, delicious selection of food to choose from for any occasion. The best customer service I've experience in a cafe for a long time. I liked the cutlery and give large napkins. Well done. We will be back that's for certain.

Typical little cafe offering a mixture of the typical breakfast favourites and a few unique options too.

Order at the counter and take a seat. Not much interaction with staff. The food was tasty and efficient.
Not much ambiance or vibe in the place.

The brekky burger was as expected. Enjoyable.
The scrambled eggs had a few m ore interesting flavours which were enjoyable and good for something that you don't usually make at home.

Came in for lunch today. Service was good, coffee was great. Ordered the corn fritters though and was not impressed. They were very dry and tasteless. Need to improve that recipe. Otherwise will come again and choose something else.

Conveniently placed on Woolooware Road! Always busy although I think venturing a bit further to Cronulla you will get better coffee and food. Just got a take away piccolo which was way to hot and pretty much a mini flat white.

Another good morning at Mim's Espresso & Eatery. Always drop in for breakfast when I'm in the area and the food is always consist and service is great even when they are busy. $40 for breakfast for two including drinks and food. Will be back again. Hannah Hill

First time here at Mim's and was impressed by the busy atmosphere, a perfect Sunday breakfast spot. I ran through a number of dishes on the menu with the waitress working out would be suitable for a vegan and ended up ordering the avocado on toast without feta. When the plate came out there was still cheese on the top (which I scraped off) other than that the food was still wonderful and the strawberry and cranberry frappe was just what I needed to kickstart a beautiful Summer's day.

A great venue for coffee if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of Cronulla. The muffins are a must and baked fresh daily!! If you want to be more indulgent try the ricotta pancakes, super yummy.

Have been to Mim's numerous times and despite having a lot of potential (menu else), the meals are very inconsistent. Same dish 3 times (Spanish baked eggs) and each time has tasted poorer than the last.
Coffee has dropped the mark too, about 6-9 months ago it was great, but now it's just ordinary to say the least.
I hear they are opening a burger shop in Cronulla, I really hope the burgers are better than what is being dished up at Mim's. I went there and tried the Southern fried chicken burger. Sounds good, looked good, tasted horrible. Burnt chicken, burnt bacon, overly salty, and on a massive brioche bun which you could probably survive floating on out at sea for 20 days.
Service tends to be good, location is good too, but the food is just not on the mark consistently.
We pay good money for these meals and coffee so the standard should be the same each time.

Very busy breakky venue. Service is generally pretty fast. Coffee is good and hot. Not so fussed on lunch menu!

Very surprised with the low rating for Mim's, this morning was my first visit and we were very impressed.
i had the 'house made' sausage roll with salad and salsa. It was very nice, roasted fennel seeds on top added that extra touch. the star of the dish was the salad though, outstanding! a few veg items in there which i couldn't identify but very very nice. no complaints about the coffee and the juice was also good.
yes, will definitely be back.

Very friendly cosy cafe. Atmosphere is great, very busy so you know it's good. They do an unreal bacon and egg roll for breakfast and coffee is quite nice. Little bit pricey but not so much as to turn you off. Had the angus burger and fries for lunch on one occasion, made to perfection. Savoured every bite. Nice little cafe perfect for sunny day alfresco

Coffee was watery and food was okay, but overpriced. Save yourself the hassle and go to cronulla instead.
Secret Diary Of A Foodie
Angus burger, fries and coffee all average tasting, and burger very small. Wanted to charge an extra $8 to add an egg and one piece of bacon to the burger. Enough said.

Had breakfast, on a sunny, busy Sunday morning 9:45. Got the last table, ordered quickly, expected food delay, but very timely, coffees after food. Food yum, soy chai average and watery, coffee nothing special. Good casual cafe.
