Review Seaside Dumplings - Cronulla

Decided to try Seaside Dumplings for the first time after passing by it many times before. The restaurant was neat and the staff were helpful. For dinner, we had an assortment of dumplings and pork buns which were very tasty and were piping hot so you knew that they had been made fresh. However, for the quantities that you get per serve, it is a little overpriced.

Food was fantastic. Steaming hot, fast service, tasty, and for 2 people reasonably priced for a night out. We had signature dish of Prawn Dumpling (sorry too hungry to take the photo), then vegetarian, then chicken & coriander. We were full and paid about $15 pp.

Delicious hand made dumplings with a great ambiance (they've 100% mastered seaside + dumplings in their beautiful decor). Will be back later. Friendly staff too!

Trading under a different name. BUT the food is great, fresh and full of flavour we will be back!

A WONDERFUL dumpling place very good flavor ginger spring onions chives fresh meat so good definitely best dumplings in the shire. Pork buns ahhh fresh so good my taste buds were dancing even in covid times . Please understand Chinese dumpling are bigger fuller different pastry compared to Japanese goyzas ! This place is great value for BYO lovely outside seating , you cant go wrong. Very diverse range of food on menu ? I'll be BAACK !

Rediscover Chinese cuisine in Cronulla. Superb food, award winning dumplings. Surely there's dumplings awards they could win!

Service was slow but waitress was lovely. Dumplings were subpar, below average and taste frozen not fresh. We ordered the noodles that tasted over seasoned and very salty. This probably wouldn't be such a bad review except for the fact the dumplings were a but pricey.

Good friendly service. We tried passion fruit ice tea, BBQ pork steak buns, Spicey wongtons, chicken & chives dumplings and another dish. All were great and service was easy. Dinning in you have to scan a code but this place is set up that only person out of the group has to do it.

Nice local Chinese restaurant , quick service , love the chicken coriander dumpling , interesting combination  . The sweet and sour pork was also different with other Chinese places, asked the owner, it was made in different process with a thin piece of pork  wrap around whole piece of meat, then fry....... it is crunch out side but juicy inside, definitely my favourite.

A couple of weeks ago, via Deliveroo had the xiao long bao, prawn dumplings, kimchi prawn dumplings, prawn shu mai topped with scallops, fried pork and chives dumpling, and chicken and mushroom dumplings. Instead of the fried dumplings I got the steamed version of the pork and chives dumplings. The xiao long bao, prawn dumplings, and pork and chives dumplings were delicious. The prawn shumai would have been better without the scallops, the scallops had quite a fishy smell - not fresh. The chicken and mushroom dumplings were pretty average, the dumpling skin was too thick. The kimchi prawn dumplings was an interesting and different kind of flavour.

Seaside Dumplings in Cronulla offers a range of handmade dumplings and home style Chinese cooking. Plus the restaurant has a dog friendly outdoor seating area where your pooch is more than welcome to join you. <br/><br/>Since Harley came into our lives I have been looking for a dog friendly restaurant where I could get my yum cha/dumpling fix.

Dumplings by the beach is not all that its cracked up to be. Its more like a diner with resturant prices.<br/>I was almost sold expired sparkling water, given only 1 fork and chop sticks for meals for 4 ppl. the taste is there but too pricey in my eyes. Also the last thing you want to see is tables not being cleared quick enough.

The owners are trying to do something a bit different here. A slightly more upmarket offering without escalating to ala carte standards and prices but a cut above your usual yum cha hangout. The flavours are good, fresh and at times subtle. Dumplings are very good. And yes, your gf/bff will love the chinaware.

Soup dumplings (xiaolongbao) are awesome!! I could get 20 of them. Had sweet and sour pork and pork+chive dumplings, all were delicious. The service was very quick and the waiter super nice. Definitely coming back.

Walked in by accident, as the place I intended to go was closed, and was surprised by the good looks of the small but cozy restaurant. They had a special of duck in Chinese bread so I decided to try along with a wonton soup. Soup was ok and wontons were different to others I have tried but were very tasty! I was expecting more from the duck in bread but it wasn't bad. I wasn't happy to see a waiter wondering in another table's leftovers right on the spot to judge customer's criteria to leave food. I can come back but this place is not in my shortlist.

They had me at the china!!!! Beautiful place settings, silverware, chopsticks & glassware. Location is nice with bright interior & friendly service. W had excellent steamed bok choy & mushroom / fried chicken & coriander / pork soup dumpling with corn soup. All excellent. The filling in bok choy mushroom was full of flavour. Slightly sticky texture but such good flavour. Best were the chicken coriander - slightly crunchy bottom with the tasty filing was our favourite. Soup dumpling great and soup surprisingly silky texture. Green tea was excellent. Repeat!!!!
