Although, well located, it's atmosphere is very bad, not welcoming staff, very slow service. non generous quantities. Moreover expensive.

We just ordered a takeaway and the food was the worst I have ever had! The pawn cutlets were tasteless and burnt, The wontons ended up in the dogs bowl and were disgusting! It would be good to upload the photos so everyone can see the quality of food being sent out of this restaurant! Never again and we are starving! Thanks for that! Hoping we don’t get sick!

This place must have new Owners, we had excellent friendly service, great food and good size plates, can not fault. Maybe they kept the old name, but do use this local business, the place was next to full. Now called Johnny Hu.

We had dinner there and cockroaches were running up the wall and across the floor. One has to question if that is the state in the serving area of the restaurant imagine what was in the kitchen. How they haven't been closed down is beyond my understanding.

This place has been subpar ever since it changed owners. We ordered a dish but received something different. There was no explanation and we had to ask the staff what happened. They didnt have the dish we asked so just made a replacement without explanation. The waiter never asked if we wanted drink refills. The food when it arrived was no better or worse than much cheaper places with far better service. They had run out of mapo tofu as well. Mapo tofu is a very common, very simple dish. The fillet steak was dry and they used too much bicarb in an attempt to soften the meat. The fried rice was steamed rice with bits thrown in, with no flavour at all. There were little bugs on the steamed rice container. By this point i was convinced they were just messing with us for complaining about something that no customer should accept without explanation. This place is limping towards a very sad death. Seriously not recommended.

All depends on mood of wait staff as to whether you enjoy experience or not. Cranky old Chinese waiter nearly had heart attack when 2 people asked for separate menus!! Owner usually nice, but catch her on an off day [period?] and it is not pleasant. Normal Chinese suburban fare. OK ,but won`t stretch your taste buds.

Ever since they renovated the food is horrible compared to what it was. The special fried rice was just rice and white onion with 2 to 3 prawns. The price is not worth it, you're paying so much for such cheap, bad tasting food. There's a reason why it's dead on busy Friday nights...people aren't going back. There's way better places to eat for a better price in Cronulla.

Ordered pork and a seafood San chou boy and it was literally a lettuce with chopped onion. We also had chicken and pineapple fried rice. Couldn't find any pineapple and it was really bland. We use to come here now and again but not anymore. So many other better places to eat in Cronulla.

Ordered via deliveroo. Food was still warm on arrival. The fried chicken wings was well seasoned with salt.. Other than that there was not much other flavouring. The steamed gow gee was steamed siu mai that had lots of veggies and a bit of meat in them. Not particularly tasty. The prawn toast was extremely disappointing. It was basically deep fried slices of toast covered with sesame seeds. Where was the prawn? On closer inspection there was a very thin layer of prawn on some parts of the toast but it may as well not have been there because it certainly did not add to the flavour. The peking duck was basically cut up in large bits like ordinary roast duck rather than a crispy skin with a bit of meat on. The duck meat was quite dry. The flavour of the duck itself was quite bland. The wrapping was hardened in some places (I have had take away and delivery of peking duck before and the wrapping is usually still soft so I don't believe it was a matter of not eating immediately after being served). The cucumber pieces were cut very very short, and the spring onions were sliced so thin it might as well not have appeared as you could not taste it once wrapped up. The saving grace of the meal was the second course of the peking duck - the sang choy bao. It was delicious, not too salty, although there was enough filling for more than the 4 leaves of lettuce that was provided.

The flavours were mediocre and the quality of the meal was very ordinary. This meal was edible and it was filling but it was not worth $105.20.

Tried this restaurant with friends & 3 dishes stood out, from ten; the honey king prawns which tasted like loukoumades, the san choi bao was light & fluffy & the duck with plum sauce melted in our mouths. The staff were friendly, and love the location.

Not the best but not the worst Chinese I have had. The yum Cha menu is small and ridiculously over priced for what it is. Had dinner with my friend and out kids and the food came out fast. But the waitress stood there and watched us eat our meal, the entire time. It was very uncomfortable and we said we didn't need anything else but she wouldn't leave. Very weird.

I went here with my family of 30. We had three tables. 1 got served quickly, 1 got served just after the first and the other did not get served until the other 2 tables had been cleared. The food came out cold and gross. The waiter actually ate the food we left on our plates whilst he started clearing our table with us all watching. It was repulsive. I didn't see the bill, but I assume it was ridiculously expensive for what we received. Will Never return.

Expensive and crap. Went there last week for dinner.
On entering there was a boy with his laptop plugged into the wall sitting at one of the front tables, looked like a child of one of the staff, doing his homework, didn't positively add to the ambience.
ordered short soup, duck, sizzling steak and salt and pepper calamari. Found it all quite sickly. The food came out very quick, not sure if this is such a good thing. We did not finish the meal, and not because there was too much.
Got the bill, extremely expensive for what it is. I would class this bad takeaway standard at best.
On the way out saw a guy walking out of the kitchen into the restaurant, eating food presumably from the kitchen. He was casually dressed, but I think may have been an owner or manager. Again not a good look, quite amateur. If thats the standard of this place, then charge accordingly.
In the last year or so these guys have spent some money on refurbishing the place, and at a quick glance it looks ok. However it was all quite poor, and too expensive. I won't be returning. Mutton dressed as Lamb.
