I stumbled across Street Market Asian Tapas in Crows Nest whilst trying to find a place for dinner and since then it’s been one of my most frequented restaurants in Crows Nest. I’ve enjoyed most of everything ordered (size and freshness of the oysters can be inconsistent, however the owner is quick to change the serving with fresh ones, and the service is always good). They also have $10 tapas on Mondays & Tuesdays.
Such amazing hospitality, but not enough vegetarian options on the menu. If you feel like experimenting with food, this is the right place to start. They have Asian tapas which are unique with difference sauces. The mushroom and tofu tapas were really good, complimented with a glass of wine is perfect for any occasion.
We ate here last week and had a really enjoyable night. We were greeted by friendly & attentive waitstaff who easily accommodated our group of 6 when we asked to sit inside when then the weather turned quite chilly. The food was delicious - especially the lamb ribs which we ordered an extra plate of. We also had the $60 platter which had a lovely variety of their dishes. The salt & pepper squid was also a big hit. The prices were very reasonable and each dish was generous, fresh and super tasty. We will definitely be back again soon!
We love this place , staff is so friendly and the foods is nice. Love the banana fritters with the coconut ice-cream, the dried coconut taste really fresh and crunchy..good place to pop up for some Asian tapas with the beer /wine for catch up
I don't usually write reviews unless I remember to take pictures - Street Market is an exception. The service, the food, the atmosphere and the friendly wait staff. We even got chatting to the owner - so much love and passion for the restaurant. On Monday and Tuesday night they serve $10 tapas, all great sized portions. Highly recommended the steamed barramundi and dumplings
A recent newcomer into the Crows Nest Area, Street Market Asian Tapas offers a variety of 'tapas' (or share plates) with an Asian spin. Given their good reviews, as well as a personal recommendation, I decided to check out this place and take up on their offer of their $10 (capped) hot and cold tapas (available on Monday and Tuesday nights)... I would definitely recommend people to come visit on Monday or Tuesday nights for the cheap $10 tapas, or try their $5 beers on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Perhaps you'll also be able to score the half-priced platter voucher as well.
Great little restaurant on the busy strip of Willoughby Road. All the dishes I have tried have been good to very good with fresh ingredients and variety. If you feel like trying lots of different flavours without blowing the budget, this place is for you. It is also BYO and with a bottleshop across the road, grab a bottle or two and enjoy!
Best dish: Tie between the Roti Chennai (Chicken curry) and the Braised Pork Belly pancakes
Can be a bit basic in the interior but good service and good food.
We had the banquette and there was more than enough for everyone.
It's BYO so recommend going to Bws across the road and stocking up
Sooooooo good ! Wonderful service ! Delicious food ! Loved the San choy bow ! And also had a cold chicken entrée in Soy sauce with red chillies .... It was superrrrrr yum ! We tasted the chicken curry which had sweet lychees .. The combination was wonderful 😊
