Love this place, literally everything on the menu is on point. Have dinner at a friend who lives close weekly and this is always the cuisine of choice, never disappointed and the owners are super friendly! Can’t recommend higher

Never discount that the burbs can’t hold their own with their city counterparts when it comes to good food. Tonight I had the most delicious roti with sauce and massaman beef curry with rice. Nice blend of flavours and the beef was tender. The curry wasn’t too spicy and the size of the meal was plentiful.
The staff are so lovely and quick with service. Although a small restaurant, it could easily seat 50 people in nice decor that is a mixture of cushioned corner tables to regular stainless tables. I believe there is a small outdoor area as well and will return to check that out in the warmer months.
Notes: recommend booking on those busy Friday or Saturday nights, dietaries catered for, suitable for vegetarians, restaurant is wheelchair friendly, kid friendly, takeaway available and the parking is reasonable in the Main Street.
Was taken to Thai Lemon Tree for dinner today. To be honest, I had pretty low expectation at first because my 2 favorite Thai places are on the other side of town, they are really really really good and so far I haven't come across anyone that impressive. But TLT has absolutely almost blew my mind. We had pad thai chicken and tofu&veggies green curry. They are absolutely beautiful! Staffs are super friendly and the place is cosy. Definitely recommended!

We ordered Roti bread, Chicken Pad Satay and Chicken Penang Curry with coconut rice.
Food came out very quickly and was well presented and very fresh!

Beautiful ! Was a little pricy but overall great experience, only other issue was that we were given warm water. Apart from that food was amazing, staff were really nice and the overall feel was great.
Great little thai place off main street. Food is really fresh and portions are very satisfying. Service is great too. It's a little cramped inside but some might find it cosy. Food took a while though (i think around 40 minutes) because they were overrun with takeaway orders.
Only went there for take away, staff were very friendly and kind. Even offering water and refilling this for us, who were only waiting for take away. Excellent coconut rice and pork red curry as well as creamy tofu and vegetable green curry. If only we lived closer! The pad thai prawn was also nice, but it's the currys with coconut rice we'll be back for!
We were looking for a Thai option near our hotel and this was close enough not to drive too far as staying in the Yarra Valley. This had a good rating on Zomato so we called ahead to make sure they were open and not fully booked as long weekend.
The service here is lovely and they made sure we were enjoying our meal. Had the Pad Thai With Chicken and was filling and quite tasty. Friends had the Green Curry With Chicken & Coconut Rice and Pad Kee Moo With Beef. The spice levels were on point for them. They enjoyed the added spiciness especially the peppercorns in the Pad Kee Moo.
This seemed quite popular considering everything else seemed shut around them so they must have quite a following.
Very accommodating to our party of 7 right at the end of service. Food was great, very fresh, well seasoned. and each dish was distinct. This is now my favourite Thai.

Lemon tree serves some of the best Thai food you'll find in the Eastern Suburbs. While many Thai restaurants serve "same old same old", the Lemon Tree serves really flavoursome meals, and if you want it spicy you've come to the right place!
Four of us ate here and we sampled a variety of dishes. We ordered a few different entree's between us, spring rolls, satay sticks and battered prawns. All we great, and the "special sauce" that comes with them really amps up the flavours.
For mains we ordered a cashew chicken stir fry, the Basil Duck (two chilli hotness rated) and two chilli chickens (three chilli hotness rated). The two diners with the chilli chicken are experienced chilli eaters, and they gravitate to this dish for it's hotness. I had the duck and "two chilli's" was the perfect hotness for me, a little tingle on the lips and lots of subtle flavours. The cashew chicken went to a non-chilli eater who commented on the complexity of the dish and the variety of flavours.
We finished off the mean with banana fritters and mango ice-cream and green tea.
We BYO'd our own wine, so the total bill for all of this was around $45 / head.
If you are into Thai food I can't recommend the Lemon Tree highly enough, but a word of warning - the place is tiny, so make sure you book in advance!
The food there is sooo delciuos and the staff are so friendly and welcomeing my favorite dishes are the padh thai and ginger fish.

Absolutely delicious meals and great value. Have been coming here for years and highly recommend it. Probably the best Thai in the Eastern suburbs, maybe the greater Melbourne area. And Max the owner is a champion!

This restaurant may be small but the food is amazing have been there twice now and will be going back a few more times. The food is fresh and the service is really good,the menu is very good and if you want a bit of everything you can get a banquet. A very cosy local place to dine - good quality, good portion sizes and fast service. Nothing fancy, but reliable when youre after a satisfying meal. Flavours are plenty and prices are average.
Authentic Thai does exist in Croydon!!Lucky to have discovered this place since just moving to Croydon. It is now our regular takeaway joint as their takeaway is cheaper than eat in. Prices are not decent for this side of town.Green chicken thai curry, thai salad, thai fried rice and stirfries are my favourites at this restaurant. Very friendly customer service at the cashier too. Recommend to people in the locality.
The food here was quite good, not the best thai I've ever had but I certainly wouldn't fault it. The reason I'm giving such a high score however is for the service, the staff were extremely friendly and I loved that they constantly refilled our waters without even us having to ask. Nice cosy restaurant.
Absolutely delicious! Their food is always so yum & staff are really friendly and welcoming. Manager makes an effort to remember regulars and the food has a reasonable wait time. Only downside is the size of the place; for somewhere so busy it would be lovely to have more space particularly in winter but it is worth it for the food
Great little Thai restaurant, almost hidden away from the main drag. Had heard about it and finally ate there after being a Croydon local for over a year. Fabulous menu, ambiance, staff and service. Wish we made this our local months ago!

Absolutely adorable little place! The food was really lovely and the service even better. Perfect for a quiet evening and a romantic but inexpensive meal. Have definitely gone back after the first time and will continue to do so. Overall really lovely!

In the midst of Ringwood/Croydon where, let's face it, culinary gems are rare to find, the Thai Lemon Tree shines bright. Authentic and TASTY Thai food. We have been here several times and been served consistently GREAT dishes.
The atmosphere is very laid back and family friendly with a cute little area out the back for warmer evenings.
The only problem is that they no longer open for lunch.
This place is seriously good. I suggest making a booking too as they get pretty busy!!!
Great little restaurant really good tasting food every time , sometimes the service is a little slow , but always very friendly. We'll keep going as we haven't got through the whole menu yet .

CROYDON's BEST RESTAURANT. We frequently eat at Lemon Tree and always enjoy excellent friendly service, attractively presented food and truly delicious meals. Our favourite menu item is the Coconut Prawns which are beautifully presented in shot glasses. Although we dine out a lot, and enjoy many of Melbourne's finest restaurants, it is wonderful to have such a delightful restaurant so close to home.

Good Food Good Service. I went there to have my wife's birthday dinner. Wonderful food and very good service. Tom Yum was a real surprise. Soft Shell Crab highly recommend as well. After finishing meal, the birthday cake I prepared was served in time with candle lit up already. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Great local business. If we ever feel like thai and don't want to drive too far this is the place to go. Probably the best restaurant within the main st strip area.

We discovered this place just after it opened, by accident, and were amazed. The food is superb and there was no-one else there! The secret quickly got out though and now bookings are advised.
The owners are Max and Pauline. Max is a very friendly presence dealing with customers and Pauline weaves her magic in the kitchen.
No point in recommending specific dishes, as you can throw a dart into the menu and you'll hit something delicious. Just try as many dishes as you can and vary your selection every visit.
The ambience is pleasant without being ostentatious, the pricing is great for what you get, and the food is... well, it's simply the best Thai food you will find in Melbourne.
Best Restaurant in Ringwood/Croydon!. Thai Lemon Tree is my absolute favourite restaurant. Max and the staff are so welcoming and there isn't anything on the menu I wouldn't enjoy. We go here regularly and I've never had a bad meal. Definitely try the sticky rice with beef yum!

Best Thai!. This is definitely the best Thai restaurant I've been to, with delicious food and great value for money. However, the thing about Thai Lemon Tree that makes it special is the staff, in particular Max. Max is so warm and friendly, he makes the dining experience one to remember! I recommend it to everyone!
Fantastic!. It's a small restaurant that would be easily overlooked, but do yourself a favour and go! I had a duck dish (can't remember the proper name of it) and it was amazing. Tender and sticky with just the right amount of 'zing'. The accompanying vegetables were perfect and I love the curry puffs! All items are reasonably priced and the service is unintrusive but very friendly. If I lived closer, this place would be a regular.
So good. Lots of care with their food and with their customers. Tasty authentic flavours. The pepper garlic beef and basil duck are certainly highlights. Cozy eclectic comfortable dining area.

Perfect Thai.... I've now been to Thai Lemon Tree twice. Once to eat in and once for take-away. Both experiences were memorable.
From the moment of arriving at the restaurant and having one of the staff come to help you open the door, you know that you're going to have a good experience.
I've had the Thai Green Curry and Pad Thai, also the Satay Chicken Skewers. All have been above standard. Hands down, this is the best Green Curry I have had to date and I live in inner city Melbourne and have access to top notch Thai.
The staff are so accommodating and the food is top-notch. You're definitely missing out if you don't try this cute little restaurant.

NOM NOM!. We went here for the 1st time and we love it!!! We had a green curry with mixed seafood and a red chicken curry. Both were delicious! Ambience was nice and quite. Love this tucked away little place :) We'll be back again for sure.

The 'new kid on the block' very nearly good enough to threaten Thai Chaiyo down the road. It is small and cafe-like but the quality of the food certainly isn't cafe-like, it is freshly prepared and very much above average. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous and appear genuinely grateful for you custom. Take your own wine and beer and they only have a licence for consumption. I struggle to recommend a single item on the menu because frankly it is ALL excellent (so far!) and very well priced. Keep it up guys, you're giving Croydon a good name!

Had take out when they just opened. Good clean, fresh flavours. Recommend the Thai salads ( we had the minced chicken from memory). Good balance of citrus, fish sauce and chilli!). Not sure of the ambience for dining in (it's at the old Devon Cafe site) but worth a try for decent Thai in the wastelands of croydz.
I have now been there 4 times and the service is excellent. Red duck curry! Awesome! Prawn crackers and special peanut sauce is devine! Thai beef salad is really really good and Tom yum prawn has the best tasting prawns I have had in a long time. I will be going back!

Took my date for her birthday on a verbal recommendation on a Saturday night.
We were greeted by wonderfully friendly staff and had our option of corners in which to be shoved. The place was busy, fully booked, a little packed and obviously a tad loud.
Despite the busy room, our orders arrived in comfortable time. The food was wonderfully delicious, the service excellent, the staff lovely, the decor eclectic and interesting.
We loved Lemon Tree and will return.
