Review Big Mates Pizza - Croydon

I just bought and almost finished the Lamb Kebab and Ultimate Large pizza's at @BigMatesPizza. These where delicious 😋 and remind me of the classic NY style pizza , much better than expected and better than the big companies 😏😏. A must have Pizza in the Croydon area with very funny and sociable management and staff !!! A + 🤤🤤🤤😀😀😀🍕🍕🍕🍩🍩🍩

Very nice pizza. Had the family over and did not home cook so I ordered 7 pizzas. One had to be vegetarian.....I know right. Anyway she said it was the nicest veg pizza she has had, so I had to give it ago, and I agree. The deluxe pizza was lovely. Volcano is HOT and brilliant. And I love the gourmet seafood...look all was great.

Omg the pizza was soooo tasty! Best 'dirty pizza' in the area. Its been my go to place for donuts, but tried the pizza for the first time, and it's so flavoursome. Got the HS pizza, the chips were crispy, the lamb and sauce was the bomb. Will definately be back often!

Date/time of return visit: 11 July 2022 @ 7:15pm Review for the very first visit included below. This review is to re-affirm my earlier review. This time we ordered an Americana, Volcano, garlic bread, and lemon cheesecake doughnut. Everything was great. The lemon tang on the doughnut was wonderful, the garlic bread was tastey and fresh (not dried out). I love onion but for me (and my preferential tastes) the Volcano had just a lityle too kuch onion (only a little too much) and I would have preferred the onion to he cooked a little longer. But it was a great tasting pizza. Likewise, the Americana was a great tasting pizza with the right level of crispiness. The staff on duty this particular night were lovely, friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves thereby contributing to a great instore atmosphere. Date of first visit: 19 October 2019 Went here for the first time 19 October and was really impressed. Ordered the Kranky pizza and a garlic pizza. Both excellent! Kranky had great flavour, not oily and excellent sauce. In store it appeared very busy, and there was a steady stream of customers - it appears to be very popular, with good quality. There was a decent number of staff on duty to service the orders and those I interacted with were friendly.

Big Mates Pizaa is lately one of my favourite stop for Pizzas. Though I am not a keen fast food eater and pizza lover but once I tasted a chicken pizza from this place, I couldn't stop myself eating pizza from this takeaway shop when I have pizza craving, I have MacDonald's and few pizza shops near my house but I always go to Big Mates Pizza. When it comes to price of the pizza it's very reasonable and less expensive then any other place se per my knowledge considering the feel and taste of the pizza. If you haven't tried Big Mates Pizza, then try now, try today you won't regret.

My partner enjoyed his thick base BBQ meat lovers pizza and I enjoyed my gluten free chicken deluxe pizza with dairy free cheese, no capsicum and no fresh tomato.

This is one of the best pizza shops around! Top-notch fresh made pizza bases, delicious and fresh toppings and exceptional customer service!! 100/10

This place is awesome, great service. The large pizzas though have become smaller, so i guess instead of increasing the price, they have made them smaller, isnt that the same thing? The gourmet pizzas are good, just need more toppings, and the chicken could be more fresher. ill be sure to come in soon for a tandori chicken pizza yo or any of the chicken gourmet pizzas. i like dat you can buy daniels donuts from em. last week got 4 of them for $10 was so cheap , and so good with the pizza. i dont driink coz it tastes yuck and i am 4 months sober

Best pizza I’ve had in Croydon for a very long time. The base was perfect thickness and cooked amazing and it had the best old school pizza taste . My partner had “the works” pizza and loved it too. Said it wasn’t too fatty . We will definitely be going back for more 😁

Was recommended by a friend about this place. Menu looks great. Had the hot and spicy pizza, and was blown away by it. The best take away pizza I ever had. It wasn’t spicy which i don’t mind, but the sauce makes a great balance of sweet and salty. Topping ingredients are just great ratio and bread is nice too. Definitely will try other pizza!<br/><br/>Edited: tried their chicken deluxe and chicken bbq. They are ok. Chicken deluxe was nice, but I was expecting more pesto taste which I hardly tasted. And the chicken bbq was nice, but bbq sauce was not spread really well (some part it drips after you bite it, and overpowering the flavour) while other parts not enough. I think the hot and spicy pizza is still the one to go to at this point.

I reckon I’ve tried every Pizza place in the Croydon area and Big Mates is the one I keep coming back to. Perfect balance of crust, base and toppings!

Best pizza place in town. The place is friendly and relaxed, top rate service and the produce second to none. The owners have big hearts for fund raising in the community and they deliver service with a smile. <br/>

Definitely my go to for take away pizza in Croydz. Generous toppings, full flavour. Go to order is margarita with fresh tomato, vegetarian with pineapple and BBQ meatlovers. (Yes, we are&nbsp;weirdos.) Highly recommended. My only wish is that the online ordering process had the capability to process orders for the in-store deals (i.e. deal #3)

BEST PIZZA IN CROYDON! The bruschetta is the best for a tasty, vego option that is different from your standard capsicum, mushroom and onion veggie pizza. We love it and it’s the first place we think of when ordering pizza!

I think this is the best takeaway pizza in the area. We've tried most of the gourmet options and they're all amazing. The quality is consistent and have never been disappointed. Try the chicken and the big mates both were really good.<br/>Best of all it's near Croydon station.<br/>

Though I can not fault the service my pizzas were tasteless, greassy and way to cheesy! The magarita was pathetic, basically a cheese pizza. Wouldnt come off the box easy. Garlic pizza not much garlic at all. <br/>Even the cheese lacked favour. I will defintly not return.

Friday night Pizza is a regular for me and the kids during footy season or summer nights.<br/>Pizza here is great and easily the best in the Croydon area. Have always had friendly service and never been kept waiting or had a fault with an order.<br/>Fast and hot pizza. Recommended.

The pizzas here are very good and by far the best in Croydon.The service is friendly and efficient and the prices reasonable. The fact the rating is only 3.1 reinforces my concerns that this forum is becoming quite irrelevant.

Big mates is my mate. Now I love an Aussie...the combination of egg bacon/ham on a pizza is the business. However, as we are all aware it is bastardising a pizza. My big mate from big mates makes a good one..:.they will be our source/contact for our pizza. However, I must say the app really caked my head in...the user experience was hopeless! Morse code would have been more efficient than trying to navigate your way through that thing

We used to have Big Mates as our number one Pizza place, but lately.. it feels like either they have gotten bored with the place, changed  chefs or started getting cheap toppings... I don't know what it is, but they are just no longer worth getting. Really sad and I hope that they can start taking on some of the community feedback that has been circling. They do amazing work with charities and special events though.

Piss Poor Effort My Mates. No Mate of the customer, you must be kidding when I call up on a Friday at 7.00 pm, not taking any more orders by a very rude individual no mention of sorry customer service is very poor, just remember if it was not for the customer your business would be nothing.
