Review Angel Fish Chippery - Croydon

Used to come here years ago for the “best chips around” Can honestly tell you the quality has dropped majorly and if I worked here, I would be embarrassed serving this garbage. I keep giving this place another chance thinking I’ve come on an off day. Sadly, will never be coming back. Don’t waste your money. Chips are gross and the flake is 10% fish, 90% batter.

Difficult placing order over the phone, arrived home and opened the smallest piece of fish ($7 King George Whiting) I’ve ever seen AND it was overcooked because it was so thin. I would feel embarrassed selling this. Chips were ok, doesn’t make up for it though. That was our first and last time. Lots of other places around, do yourself a favour and skip this one.

I always do a phone order and when I get there my order is ready. Friendly staff and excellent service.

Oh my goodness! Ordered for the first time with some trepidation... but everything had changed after we had it. I had chicken schnitzel burger with the lot. my hasband had same with a beef burger. SO GOOD! Potato cakes were very large and gave us some extra for our kids, the crunchy chips & onion rings were great.

To whom it may concern, I felt like treating myself for once in a while and I thought what better than fish and chips. This wasn’t fish and chips but it was oil and regret with a tinge of dust! I don’t usually leave reviews unless I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service. They started to argue, I don’t always expect a smile but not even a hello really hurt me! Therefore I will never be coming back to Dorset heights fish and chips again.

These guys have a great offering. Broad range for staff lunches, always fast and nice crunchy chips with a great crumbed fish. The HSP is great too for those days you don't feel like fish.
