Review Crave Restaurant - Croydon

Ordered the lot pizza without shrimped however the chief mixed it up and served me the lot with anchovies. Manager was not apologetic and charged me for their mistake and blame the customer to return the pizza without accepting their mistake and having an incompetent chief in the kitchen. Not suggesting to dine in this restaurant and you will get below average food quality with restaurant charge.

Had the mixed grill and partner had the chicken breast with mushroom sauce. Mixed grill - no seasoning… steak was really dry, I didn’t feel satisfied at all! Sauce was also runny. Partners dish - chicken breast plain too, mushroom sauce same consistency runny. It felt a bit on the boring side.

Had a good experience. Pasta was good very creamy, zupetta was good too but contrnt could be better.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. we ordered a kid's fish and chips, brought it home and it was cold translucent and uncooked. Only the coating was cooked. We called and they offered to do another serving but by then, we had decided we would just prefer a refund. So we asked for one and the man still asked us to bring the fish in for him to inspect even though I offered to take pictures. He seemed to think we were lying. There are so many other good places with better customer service in Croydon. Sofia's is right beside it. Croydon Hotel is right down the road. Go to Holy Basil, Pidaya Thai, Exeter road fish and chips and Exeter pizza. We only wanted to try a new place to give business to other places in the area but your money is better spent somewhere else. Now we know to go to our favourite locals who treat us with respect and kindness and give us cooked and good food.

Don’t be in a rush if you plan to dine here… 45 minutes before even getting a drink to the table (that we had to ask for ourselves). The food took just as long once ordered. Some of the food was decent, some tolerable. But overall it’s safe to say I definitely won’t be craving to go back any time soon.

I took away a pizza in Feb which was acceptable. but we visited this restaurant yesterday and dined in with Caesar Salad and Marina Pasta were total disasters. We could not even gave 1 bit on the grilled chicken as the smell was bloody and awful. the pasta tasted like simple sauce from supermarket. the worst part is when we wanted to the full amount the kindly reminded the manager, she tried really hard to argue with us. Denial of problem is the most efficient way to kill the possibility of improvement.

We used to love getting a meal here but the last few times have been disappointing, I don't think we will be back 😞 The creamy salmon has been very oily, like it was leftovers reheated. This time we requested it to be saucy and not oily. It wasn't oily but it was not saucy at all. Hubby picked up to notice the main was an entree. "Oh I'll fix that". Got it home and it was an entree size just put in a main container and the meal was underwhelming. What's happened guys?

Pasta was luke warm when it came out and ingredients seemed like they were stored frozen, also include large amounts of uncooked garlic. Entree came out after one of the mains. Service was extremely sub-par with people waiting for service and the wait staff having to be asked multiple times for simple requests like they were flat out and understaffed, but the wait staff just standing around in the kitchen talking to each other. Only reason this gets 2 stars is due to the pizza, which was ok but expensive for the quality. Won't be going again.

I love Crave!!! The staff are friendly, prices are good, service is fast, and the chairs are really comfortable!!! The lasagne is my absolute favourite!!!!

The pizza’s are not good at all. The base is soggy with grease and the ingredients used are not fresh at all. The only appeal this establishment has is its discounted parma deal on Monday’s but if the quality of that is equal to their pizza’s it still wouldn’t be worth it.

Terrible experience never again! If I could give zero star rating I would. They seem to be more about making money than looking after their customers. There are much much better in the area. I would avoid if you do not want to be waste your money especially for take away delivery.

Have been here twice now. This time, I had a chilli burger and the wife had a marinara dish, while the kids had a small pizza between them. Burger was ok and chips were chunky and cooked fine.
We used a groupon voucher which said we could get the cheaper main meal for free - the staff said we could use it, but when we went to pay, the senior staff tells us that we can only get the kids meal for free, which is not what we told at the start, and not mentioned on the voucher.
Both this time and last time, senior staff told my kids off for watching a movie on an iPad while they eat. Seriously, when did telling customers' kids off fall under good customer service?
Then the same staff member berates a junior staff, right in front of us, for the way she set the table. This guy has never heard the phrase "praise in public, correct in private" - it is not a good look to treat a staff member that way - we felt really sorry for her as we could tell she was trying her hardest to do a good job.
On the way out, I said a polite "thanks for everything" to the managers, something that I would expect from a nice staff member to say to customers. Response was... no response! - the same management staff doesn't even acknowledge us.
Not sure if we'll come back.

I went there this afternoon for Lunch and I had a Ham and Cheese Regular Pizza and a glass of Sprite for $15 but the Pizza tasted like cardboard so I won't be going back there again.

We ordered through menulog on a Saturday night. Delivery was estimated for 6.35pm and everything arrived by 6pm. That's awesome - except my guests were not here yet.
We ordered a couple of pizzas, cheesy garlic bread, pasta and sides of chips. Food was great and definitely cannot complain.
Only thing I will say is the prices are through the roof for something that once was a la porchetta. I was offered 10% off our first online order though.
Very friendly service and great atmosphere on a Friday nighy. A great family restaurant. Great for celebrations. Love our cabonara pasta and garlic cheesy bread.

First time to this restaurant after management changeover and was pleasantly surprised by taste and quality of food, better than its competitor next door. BBQ ribs with bourbon sauce was highlight of our meal, meat was juicy and flavoursome. Salad was generous and great too with Pizza full of ingredients and great size and helping. Service by new manager Tony was great and even though busy, tried to get to know the customers. Overall a good experience, will be back.

Not sure if Crave has the same owners/operators as when it was a La Porchetta because it's pretty much the same apart from a more extensive menu. Normally I'd see this as a positive, but the overall impression is that of many offerings with none being particularly good. I can't speak for everything, but the Crave Burger was flavourless. It looked impressive but simply wasn't the sum of its parts. Bland patty, soulless bun, needed more sauce or a nice relish/mayo. Thick cut chips were underseasoned and nowhere near as crisp as I'd like. Tortellini alla matriciana was good overall, with decent flavour, though very slightly over cooked. Mediocre kids' lasagne served in a bowl which made it impractical to eat. Hopefully common sense prevails and it finds its way to the plate. Service was a little slower than I expected given the number of diners, but polite and not slow enough to be a problem. Prices good and some impessive specials.
I left full, yet somehow empty inside.
