Review Eastfield Coffee Co. - Croydon

On Sunday it can be hard to find a quality cafe open in the local area. Thankfully, Eastfield Coffee Co. is open for business on Sunday and it is the perfect place to soak up the winter sunshine whilst enjoying a late lunch. I ordered Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough ($11.00) with a side of Roasted Mushrooms ($3.50). My dining companion chose a Bowl of Chips ($8.00). My latte was delicious too. Service is very friendly and water is happily provided.

Come every Wednesday, one of the staff members noticed i had a bit too much butter on my meal without telling her, brought out cakes for me and my family to say sorry which wasn’t needed at all. Caring staff, even free dog treats front of house. Will continue to be my local for time to come

Very good coffee, and a delicious reuben sandwich. Venue could do with a bit more flair though! Some wall art, some cool vintage/industrial lighting, etc. A little lifeless inside as a result, but they make up for it with friendly and quick service. 👌

Coffee average - low tide (only half full under the cappuccino froth). But the price blew me away - $5.20 for a mug? Cheaper everywhere else in Croydon. This isn't South Yarra you know! I won't be returning.

We travel well outside of our way to treat ourselves with the coffee/delish food at eastfield coffee co. The staff are always incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating to not only myself but my fussy children. I even witnessed one of the waitresses helping an elderly customer who was so touched by her effort that they welled up. Definitely a cafe worth visiting!

Cannot recommend Eastfield Coffee Co enough. Great vibe, awesome staff, best coffee and breakfast wss amazing. From.the minute we walked in we were welcomed and felt at home. The menu is great and the breakfast burger was phenomenal. This is definitely my new local.

Friendly staff, great service, delicious food and perfect coffee, but what I noticed the most was how clean this little gem is. Definitely worth giving this place a go 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 Even my dog got a little doggy treat.

Your coffee is great but today I travelled from a half hour away just to purchase your coffee and it was closed upon my arrival, at 2:38 pm. You advertise a 3pm close time? It was very frustrating. If you close early to clean, etc, then just adjust your times accordingly. My partner even says your FB page says 4pm?!

I love the friendly service & the polite staff. Nothing is too much trouble. They also cater to dogs with a free doggie biscuit. It keeps my dog busy for a little while. I also really enjoy the coffee & the gluten free cakes.

Wife and I dropped in this morning for a coffee. One coffee was not quite hot enough. Manager, says, So Sorry. Comes back with a perfect coffee and a muffin to boot. She has excellent service delivery and manners. Couldn't fault the coffee or service. :-)

Loved everything about this place; staff, coffee, food and vibe. Best breakfast I've probably ever eaten.

Walked in sunday morning to a packed shop ordered coffee and breakfast for two 15 to 20 minutes later beautiful mushrooms and poached eggs were served to me and eggs bene to my friend then came over our drinks. Must say was expecting a much longer wait but was pleasantly surprised with the speedy friendly service. Coffee is always spot on as to the service as for the food AWESOME thanks y'all

First time at the cafe, we weren't quite sure whether it was table service or find yourself a seat and order at the counter. Most tables were occupied so it was quite busy. We quickly worked out it is order at the counter, so went there, friendly greeting, ordered two coffees, scones and egg and bacon muffin. Coffees served promptly at the table, very nice. Scones and muffin took about 10 minutes - ok. Muffin was really quite good and reasonably priced. Scones were a little too crusty on the bottom for my liking, but plenty of cream and delicious raspberry jam on the side. Extra coffee ordered and again served promptly. A good, local cafe that deserves local support. Join my Facebook group "Visit Random Melbourne Suburbs" and join me as I traverse over 500 Melbourne suburbs looking for places of interest. Croydon South was the second suburb randomly selected. Next week...Ashwood.

Waited 15min for takeaway coffee. They had misplaced my order. I was the only person waiting on bench opposite counter. No one asked what I was waiting for. As busy assumed taking a bit longer. Not until people that came long after me got their coffees that I realised I was forgotten. Apology offered, refund perhaps more powerful. Loyalty card might be getting a rest for a while. Sorry ECC.

Best coffee ever !!

$17 for sloppy pre made, re-heated mess + 2 soggy hash browns. 👎🏻. Taste was horrible, the worst brioche I’ve ever had. B&E one of the easiest things to make, yet this was sooo far off the mark.

Love the eastfield coffee co! Great coffee, lovely atmosphere. Staff always friendly even at 7am! Very dog friendly also which is nice. Food always good and menu gets updated frequently

Do not get the eggs Benedict. It's not on potato and there's more hollandaise than anything else on the plate .. I'm surprised they didn't say 'do you want any eggs with your hollandaise?'

hey folks...nice try...but nope...<br/>one girl serving at 8am in the morning? the poor chick...she needed help....3 people walked out on her in the 15minutes i waited for my 4 coffees whilst she continued to make small errors due to the pressure she was under!!<br/>the actual coffee isn't too bad....get rid of the salt out of the chocolate shakers for the cappachinos and yeh its drinkable.<br/>croissant was nice...

Got a coffee here because it was close to work. must say I missed the latte art and not a huge fan of getting a flat white when I order a latte but it was a nice flavour and easy drinking so can't complain.

Living around the corner from this cafe I give it a chance everynow and then in the hope their coffee has improved. Unfortunately, it hasn't.

Nice little cafe, coffee is good. The menu does change with the seasons, it is an all day menu. We has the autumn eggs which were great and a pulled pork burger which wasn't bad also. The setout of the place is basic but neat with extra points for pillows against the wall All in all, good little place for a meal and coffee, would come back.

Cold service and a warm milkshake. The staff really didn't seem to care when I walked through the door. I wasn't greeted with a hello of even a smile. I think table service would be a great addition. Really disappointed. Have been wanting to try this cafe out since it opened. I may be tempted to come back for another try as its so close to home, but it might be a few months.

Fantastic coffee and great atmosphere. I had the scones which were of good size served with fresh cream and homemade jam. Will definitely recommend this cafe and will be back to try the banana waffles which look amazing.

Will revise my rating once I've been a few more times and eaten food. The choc desserts in the jar looked yum so I cannot wait to eat here.<br/><br/>Very excited to see this new cafe open in my area, only hope it will live up to my expectations. This week I've had 2 lattes - one takeaway, one seated in. Both times the consistency and creaminess of the coffee was spot on. I do, however prefer my coffee stronger.  7/10

Really friendly staff but could definetly do with more seating! Came in for lunch today and really enjoyed the relaxing vibe. Food was great but the coffee was a bit weak. Definetly on par with a lot of inner city cafes I've been to so worth checking out if you're in the area. They sell beans too which looked really cool up in gold dispenses!

From the outside this coffee shop looked like it could make a decent coffee. Sadly I was mistaken. The interior of this cafe looks like it's been decked out at IKEA which is really disappointing for a Melbourne cafe. The coffee here was appalling the beans were burnt and the milk was too hot. Service was pretty poor as well. Won't bother going back here as there are so many better places to go in the area !!!!

We visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning, and knew something was amiss when we walked through the door. Instead of greeting us, the waiter(?) turned his back and walked away. We sat at a table and waited. No acknowledgement, no menus, no service. This is a small cafe, that was not busy. The waiter casually walked the length of the cafe, stopping to chat with staff, completely ignoring us. My wife eventually grabbed a menu from an uncleared table, and as we waited we picked through what looked to be a nice menu. Meanwhile another couple walked in, stood in the middle of the walkway, looking confused at being ignored, and similarly sat themselves at the table next to us. The waiter continued his leisurely strolls and chats, now ignoring two tables. After 10 minutes, the other couple left. I laughed when instead of doing anything or looking concerned, the staff all walked into the kitchen and continued to chat. We left shortly afterwards and found a much nicer, professional, place to eat. For a brand new business... What a joke.

Popped into this new little cafe with my family today. Our coffees (soy latte and long black) were decent but not outstanding. I enjoyed the mini cheesecake. Service was polite but minimal. I'm not in a hurry to come back in the immediate future, but could be convinced to pop back when it's been open and running a little longer.<br/><br/>Parent note: I noticed that there were extra stools and chairs visible, but I couldn't see any high chairs, nor were we offered one (we had a two year old and a baby with us) - we didn't need one, so didn't ask, but I'm not sure if they actually have them or not. Babycino was nice and frothy with a little sprinkling of chocolate powder, but no marshmallows. It's quite a spacious place, so should be able to fit prams in, although the high bar tables along one side wouldn't be great for sitting with a pram next to you.
