Review La Lorientaise Creperie - Croydon

Friendly service and exciting food on offer. Restaurant is located in a nice neighbourhood and the inside is very cosy and well decorated.

No doubt the best crepe in Adelaide. And I worked in a french crepe store before so you know you can trust me on this one! The savoury crepes are AMAZING, the buckwheat batter has such a good flavour and they make the crepes so thin and crispy, truly unlike any crepe I’ve ever had. I’ve come here so many times and brought so many different people here and everyone always says it’s the best crepe they’ve had.

Had the egg and cheese crepe here and my sister had the nutella and banana. They're both very delicious and the atmosphere in there was very calming. Definitely recommend coming here!

Really good place and food. I have rarely eaten crêpes as good as here. I'm French and from britanny so I really know this food. The owner Marie and the staff is wonderful.

Went there a couple of time. Very good food. Cutie area.

Delicious authentic crepes made with love. A little pricey, but big servings. Share a savoury and a sweet between two.

Best crepes in Adelaide. Lemon and sugar crepes with coconut ice cream or pomme (stewed apple crepe with their home made caramel sauce ). Great service and coffee too!

Great coffee and crêpes, all of them looked great from the kitchen. Was quite busy which is a good sign, but plenty of eating space

Was over there for work and went every second day. Wish this place was in Melbourne

When you love coffee you’ll love this place. Went by for a quick coffee ended staying for a while. It was unbelievable not sure what coffee beans they use but what a hit (not in the strong sense) just immense flavour

Magnifique! Coffee and food is special. This place is a gem. Everything we've tried I'm the menu seems to be better than the last. This is a must try.

Given the number of crepes I eat, I won't be surprised if one day I become a crepe. After being introduced to La Lorientaise by a work colleague, that day has definitely crept closer...I've now been many times! The crepes themselves are light, crispy and filling. La Bleue and La Pomme are my favourites. The staff are friendly and will spar with you in French if you're that way inclined. Also, make sure you get a flat white while you're there because the coffee is the bomb dot com.

I’ve been here a few times now. The Croque Madame is gorgeous, the crepes are phenomenal, and the staff are so cool. When you hear French from the kitchen it allows you to forget all your worries for just a second, and you can imagine yourself transported to a quaint Parisian cafe.

Great, strong coffee every time. Crepes are always on point, buckwheat gf option available. Last time had it with choc and banana, this time I wanted the buckwheat with just butter (more butter would’ve been better) and it was crispy and cooked perfectly. Was particular smokey this visit and didn’t get acknowledged upon entering and being seated, but usually they’re a lot more friendly.

First class, you will not regret dining here. Both sweet and savory options are amazing. The coffee the best I've had in Adelaide. Quality ingredients and great service. What a nice location.

Amazing experience ! Food and staff ✌🏼 French food best thing ever !
Come enjoy the good Crepes and coffees there.
I really like the mood, not really expensive and good quality :)

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. It is relaxed, friendly and the view of the crepe artist is right on view walking through the doors.
Food was delicious, great quality produce used. I ordered the la gourmande which was YUM! Coffee was excellent too!
Sorry I didn't take a photo, was too tasty to stop :)
Crepe didn't look super pretty, but gosh it was delicious.

Nice little place with friendly service. Stopped by with some friends for some crepes. Ordered the lemon and honey crepe, the La Saint-Jacques and La Coco. Putting it simply, all were great. The sweet crepes were good but the savoury crepe was brilliant - loved the balance of all the ingredients. Will definitely be back for more.

The very best crêpes I've had by far in Australia! The coffee is delicious (I've altered my route to work so that I can pick one up in the mornings), the service is magic, but the food is the standout... a must visit!

The star of the show here for me is the classic sugar and lemon crepes, which are most likely cooked in butter, as the flavour that comes through this basic recipe is amazing! I find the prices to be reasonable for each crepe.
I find the service and the coffee to be on par with the crepes. You just need patience, as they are a small team, but i've never had to wait long for my food and drink.

Sorry but am I missing something here? I don't remember getting a deconstructed crepe that looked so unappetising when I was in France.
So clearly, this place does great sweet crepes. My friends crepe was amazing.
I felt like something savoury but didn't want to pay like $13 or so for a specialty crepe so I ordered a ham and cheese crepe. That's something straightforward that can't be stuffed up surely?? The crepe should be thin, crisp and oozing with cheese. When I was presented with it, well I was clearly disappointed. A brown stodgy open crepe with thin melted cheese and decent quality ham plonked on it!! That was it. Frankly I would have been better off with a ham and cheese sandwich. It didn't even taste good.
Unfortunately my experience couldn't be saved by great coffee, my flat white was really ordinary. I ordered a large coffee and they didn't disappoint! It was delivered to me in a super large cup resembling a bowl which I had trouble handling. Because it was so large it went cool very quickly. Seriously awful and this place is only getting my generous two stars for my friends dessert crepe which she raved about.
I tried to complain about my crepe when the waitress took my plate away but it was lost in translation with the supposedly French speaking waitress.
So bloody annoying!!

Such a cute eatery in the trendy suburb of Croydon. We popped in for a quick bite to eat as we were in the area. Choice of sweet and savory crepes available as well as croissants to take away and croque monsieurs for lunch. I had a crepe nordique which was served with creme fraiche, chives and smoked salmon. The crepe was very tasty even though there could have been slightly more salmon. My husband ordered and ham and cheese croque monsieur which was ok, nothing wow about this one. It was pretty much just like a toasted ham and cheese sandwich with grilled cheese on top. The staff were very friendly and the creperie itself is really lovely inside, very typically French. They even have Perrier and Evian for purchase with your meal. I would go back again but would like to try a sweet option next time I go.

La Lorientaise Creperie is a new cafe that specialises in French crepes. Located amongst a variety of trendy and popular shops on the Elizabeth Street strip in Croydon they join other favourites Queen Street Cafe, Red Door Bakery and recent newcomer Croydon Social. The venue is large, spacious and completely decked out in wood giving off a very warm and inviting atmosphere.

We came here from a friend's recommendation and absolutely loved it! Same quality as France and perfect pricing - not to mention amazing crepes. The staff are so friendly and genuinely French which is also a nice touch. Great if you are looking for light or fuller meal, loved the vegetarian with creamy mushrooms. Will be coming back soon! :)

I love this place, the decor, the wait staff, the food and the coffee!! The restaurant is open and spacious with some outside seating. The menu has mainly crepes, crossaints, sandwiches and sundaes. Both savoury and dessert options. I had the banana crepe and it was delicious! The creep itself had a lovely, chewy texture and the taste was buttery and light. The toppings were just the right amount and it was nice to see that they don't drown your crepe with sauce. My friends had the savoury crepe and croissant and they were both very happy with their dish. In fact, I loved it so much I went back the very same week. It would be great if they were open late for dessert as well.

La Lorientaise Creperie has become a regular place for us. I wasn't really into crepes but I am now, they're sensational. Great coffee. The staff are delightful and the ambience is warm and inviting. Love the new fit-out. A fabulous addition to Queen St.

Came across this new venue by chance while exploring Queen Street Croydon. Felt like I was transported to Europe (or at the very least an on trend Melbourne foodie haunt)

This place rocks. The coffee is great. The food is top quality and made with a smile right in front of you. There is a great friendly vibe in the room. Great with kids. And the prices make it possible to return again and again without any pain. About half the price of the other crepe places around town and better quality. Winning deal.

Thanks guys for setting up shop in Adelaide. We loved the whole package you have on offer and will be back.

Coffee was perfect. Had a short machiato
Excellent acidity, strength , and balanced sweetness / bitterness

The sausage & egg buckwheat crepe was beautiful. Light but filling and really well crafted by crepe expert Marie.
The caramelized onions added nice sweetness to the SAVOURY breakfast.

The service was attentive & passionate.
The CREPERIE/cafe is light filled and a gorgeous place to sit & enjoy.

Really wish the every success & urge people of SA to get here

A new and exciting addition to the Queen Street precinct! Really well thought out with a very modern and polished interior, attentive service, great coffee and above all, amazing crepes. The menu is extensive and offers a mouthwatering selection of savoury and sweet options. We tried La Chèvre with goat cheese, honey and walnuts, and La Coco with Nutella, ice cream, and coconut.
Absolutely delish, can't wait to be back for more!
