Got recommended to beach shack and loved it. The staff were friendly and prompt. Couldn’t go past the breakfast burrito. It keeps me coming back !!
Really lovely view with the beach across the road and the cafe is nice and open with lots of light. We were both really happy with our meals which were large in size. Great coffee. Many vego options. Service was friendly and fast.
Lovely food! The tasting plate was devine, however 3 pieces of each serving but is shared by 2 people - go figure! Pizza's are great and live acoustic music however closes too early on the weekends!
Shack Attack!!!. A naughty waitress, fantastic view and fabulous food make this a place to return to as often as possible...
The calamari was the most tender we have ever eaten with a salad that was so fresh it could have come straight from the garden... the dressing was so delicious that we asked to waitress for the recipe....
Our caesar salads had more than enough chicken/seafood to have us refusing desserts no matter how appetising they sounded...
All this was accompanied with a crisp Twin Islands sauvignon blanc at a very reasonable price...
We left knowing that whenever we visit the Gold Coast this will be at the top of out list for a fabulous casual lunch!!!
Excellent location but a bit grubby. Three of us had a late lunch one Sunday at The Beach Shack.
We sat upstairs on the veranda watching the whales frolicking in the distance (I am not kidding!)
We changed tables at one stage after ordering, and it wasn't a problem to the waitress.
Meals- grilled barra, chips and salad- delish.
My problem with the cafe was that the floors and stairs (in particular) and the bathrooms were filthy. I mentioned to the owner, as a bit of feedback, and she said they clean once a week. (?!) Surely the cafe would be cleaned on a daily basis?!!
I always think... If the floors and the bathrooms are dirty- how often is the kitchen cleaned, where my food is coming from?!!
Otherwise, lovely staff, superb location and good food. Just don't look down or use the bathrooms.
Our first choice for lunch or a coffee on the gold coast.
Spectacular views, super friendly service and great food at good prices.
He had beer battered fish and chips/ I had the grilled barra and salad. We both had a crisp white wine each. Delicious!
He then chose choc mousse cake, I had the gluten free friand. Again, delicious, fresh, impossible to leave any behind.
Coffee - espresso of course- excellent!
Cannot wait for our next visit!
Great view of Currumbin beach and a great place to people watch. The Beach Shack has a good selection of modern cafe style meals. They are quite tasty but a little on the expensive side for what you get. The main attraction is it's location. Also good place for Sunday breakfast.
The Eye fillet was the dish of the night, with prawns piled high on top of a tender generously sized steak. The Grilled Barramundi and Lamb salads were also vibrant and fresh, fitting the beachside venue.
Excelent service, very polite and kind. The avo toast is impressive, delicious, simple, fresh. It’s a big dish to share at a good price!
Incredible. Some of the best food I’ve had all year. Would highly recommend the chicken burger and the spring rolls. The salads are also amazing. Left feeling satisfied and with empty plates.
Great food and amazing view. Friendly staff
BEAUTIFUL SCENERY
A beautiful location for a meet up or as in my case, a cuppa and snack. I stopped in here on my way home from a long bike ride looking for sustenance. I ordered a long black coffee and a apple crumble muffin (heated). The cafe has upstairs and downstairs eating areas and you can choose whether you wish to sit inside or outside. The toilets are through the Restaurant and out the back. Easy accessible for wheelchairs and walkers. But be warned, parking close by can be a challenge during peak times as the area is very popular. My food arrived in a timely manner with my coffee. A bottle of cool water was provided without asking. As Arny says, "I'll be back. "
The coffees are great and we really enjoyed the local feel of the Beach Shack. It’s hard to beat the great view of the ocean so we sat out front.
Upstairs has an even better view and we will be back to check that out next time. Thanks to the staff for the awesome service. The $10 brekky roll and coffee is a really good deal.
First time visiting the Beach Shack cafe. Saw it had good reviews so wanted to check it out. Called ahead and booked a table. We sat upstairs and could see the beach from our table. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. I got the eggs benedict with smoked salmon. I could tell the hollandaise sauce was made from scratch. My partner got the big breakie. It was a decent sizes. They also had oat milk for my coffee. Winning.
Pretty good. Great location, breeze and lucky balcony table to chill. Coffee was not really hot but I guess on busy Sundays that can happen.
