Wanted to check this place out as soon as I came to Kingscliff. There is lovely benches to sit outside to enjoy the sun and weather.
Salt Mill is such a cute hut type cafe that serves coffee, smoothies, açai/pipya bowls and avocado toast. There is also a variety of on-the-go meals including sandwiches and bircher museli. I had a soy latte which was perfect and strong. Couldn’t go without trying the açai bowl which is served with museli, fruit (strawberry, berries, banana and passionfruit), shredded coconut, cacao nibs and I added peanut butter as an extra topping.
Definitely recommend checking this cafe out to enjoy a lovely fresh and delicious breakfast and drinks.

The Best Traditional Acai Bowl on The GC!
The GC is home to some of the best Acai bowls in the world (in my opinion of course). These days everyone’s bringing forward a new idea to spice up the classic acai, but at The Salt Mill – they’re keeping it simple and doing it well.
📍 Located on the beach front in Currumbin, it’s the perfect beach snack/brunch/breakfast/treat... or all of the above!
🔆 The store is super small and squishy, so get your Acai and take it across the road to the beach.
This place was always packed every time I walked past so I was keen to see what all the fuss was about. If I’d been hungry, I’d definitely have tried the acai bowl because they looked amazing. I chose a freshly made juice – ginger, beetroot, pineapple (I can’t remember what else!) which was simply delicious. A decent size for the price (not always the case) and for the amount of people crammed in waiting for orders, they were surprisingly quick.
We returned the next day to try their coffee. Again, it was packed but for the number or orders they were churning out, they were very prompt. The cabinet was filled with delicious looking foods however we just came for coffee. Really good, smooth coffee – highly recommended. I can definitely see what all the fuss (and the long line!) is about.
I stopped for an afternoon coffee. I was disappointed that my long black came in a take-away cup (I was drinking in) and was slightly bitter. Still, I liked this place. The service was friendly and the decor rustic. The cakes and sweet treats looked divine and freshly made and all the juices are freshly made. I'd certainly go back and give them another chance.
Simple and delicious. My husband and I had the acai bowl w coconut and cacao which was quite sweet. We also had the first green juice which was amazing bright colour. Not much seating available so we took over the road to sit on the grass overlooking the beach.
Everything in the acai bowl is fulfilling - fruits are fresh, love the crunch texture, the base is not too sour yet not too sweet. It's one of the best acai bowls in Gold Coast! :)
Wow, best bacon and egg bagel!!! The chutney is scrumptious and the coffee is on point. With the beach across the road it's the perfect grab and go coffee stop with super delicious quality food. give it a whirl you won't be disappointed!!
Service wasn't the best, but the acai bowl was worth it. My favourite acai bowl so far; it was creamy, refreshing and filling. I loved the amount of toppings they packed into this acai bowl. I will return for sure!
well I don't know how it could get better an awning for sun protection. awesome food and coffee kept me sane while I was on this crazy busy gold coast.
Awesome coffee and smoothies. Only reason I didn't give a 5 was due to the fact the coffee (even being there largest) was what I would say is a medium (and no I m not referring too Starbucks).
Had a coffee this morning. Lovely location basking in the morning sun. Service was excellent and they do know how to make good coffee. My only gripe is that you have to drink out of a paper cup. Otherwise pretty much the best coffee on the coast.
Rough-hewn bench seats, fruit cartons and a wine barrel tell us that it's an earthy sort of place, which matches in with the raw and wholefoods menu. Food is a fairly new addition to the cafe, the couple starting with coffee, loose leaf 100% natural Prana Chai, organic sodas, plus smoothies and fresh juices made to order. The Allpress flat white goes down a treat. It's a four bean blend, full-bodied and smooth with shades of caramel. There's also an Allpress single origin, changed weekly.
When your acai bowl comes loaded with natural crunchy peanut butter at an affordable price you know you’ve found a winner. Bit of a wait as it’s super popular early in the morning when I went, but I didn’t mind. Would definitely go back and try their other bowls.
Best açaí bowls along the QLD & northern NSW coastline. Incredible! The perfect consistency and toppings. I get the original add peanut butter. Have taken all my friends here and you just cannot beat it. Such great taste with yummy fruit and good serving size for what you pay for.
The salty is a full 4223 experience. Currumbin’s finest serving up insane acai bowls, scrumptious baked goods & caffeinated bevvies to die for. Need I say more?

Don't worry about the big queue out the front, the staff at The Salt Mill pump out the coffees. Best coffee in the area and the Acai Bowls are delicious.
This was much first Acai Bowl and now I'm hooked.
Really nice coffee. The acaia granola bowl was very tasty! Really great little coffee shop. They also sell some great pottery and other home decor right next door. Highly recommend.
