Review Red Velvet Lounge - Cygnet

Sonia
Nice spacious cafe in Cygnet. Staffs are all friendly and food was good. Having high ceiling and opened big space is quite nice as there are not many cafes having big space like here.

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious oat lattes, really warm service. I got the rigatoni - super tasty and had a great hit of fennel through the sausage. My partner got the lamb - delicious and so well presented. Wish we lived locally so we could go again and again.

Their food is amazing! We wanted to come here a second time but unfortunately they are closed on Thursday’s and the times on google were wrong. Make sure to check their website as we were a little disappointed. First visit Friday night was awesome! We came back for lunch and they had closed the kitchen early. Maybe give them a call beforehand to make sure they are open and still serving. Third time we made sure to came early and then found out they are closed on a Thursday. Their food and service was EPIC!

Had bacon pizza 🍕, not nice at all. Ate it because I was hungry but didn't enjoy it. Toppings on our pizzas was light on as well. We were told there was table service, gave up waiting and went up to the counter to order, when I could get someone's attention, I was able to order. $45 for 2 small pizzas, I feel this is expensive. Unfortunately, not a good dining experience all round. Certainly won't be back.

Friendly staff, but fish serving was too small for $29. Chicken dish wasn't really as expected. Could be described better.

Great menu filled with vegan friendly food options and coffee and cakes. Big space with a country authentic feel. Prices not bad, definitely worth the drive to check the place out and sample their food.

Came down to Cygnet to run the peninsula. When I had finished I dropped into the Red Velvet Lounge for breakfast. I came a number of years ago and it still has that old-charm that I remember. It really is a great setting. The food was very country as was the service. A highlight of any visit to southern Tasmania.

Great spot to catch up for a coffee with friends in a stylish and spacious indoor and outdoor space taking in good views . The staff a really friendly and quick help you find something delicious from menu or on display . The deserts hear are nice along with the chia tea so pop in and say hi and give them a try .
