Review Urban Paddock Cafe - Dalby

Fantastic cafe with several beautiful spaces inside & out. We were in Dalby for work and ate there a few times. Each time is was very nice. The coffee is great, the food is delicious, the staff are lovely & the grounds are beautiful. I tried the lamb burger & it was yummy & the Okonomiyaki Fritter - never had this before and it didn’t disappoint.

After a long absence I was in Dalby for my brother’s funeral. On my sister’s recommendation I came here for breakfast. I was blown away. When I was working I would check out all the Brissie cafes. This far surpasses them on so many levels. Apparently on weekends it can be quite busy - up to 200 people - and I wouldn’t be surprised, so you need to book. This has everything going for it: stunning building; great food and coffee; friendly staff; and relaxed and casual ambience. Top marks to the owners. It is only a block (small) in from the Warrego Highway and definitely worth the small detour.

The Service and food came out very quickly however the reason for the 3 stars was the "big breakfast" with a coffee for $37 this is what you get. Everything on the plate was ok but the lamb. The lamb had huge amount of fat with very little ediable meat, extremely disappointing and I left feeling like I wasted my money. Had no staff come up after finishing meal to ask how it was or to clear the plates while I finished my coffee. I feel if you're paying close to $40 for breakfast get the portion and quality of the meat right.

Great venue and great food, I had the chicken burger and chips and it was fantastic. The burger had a buttermilk fried chicken that was juicy and crunchy, with a mayo that was very tasty and the chips had some secret seasoning that was both sweet and salty but still found a way to have taste that was very unique. Food also came out very fast and fresh. Would definitely recommend visiting with friends or family.

Absolutely beautiful place. Service, setting & food n coffee was outstanding. If you are visiting Dalby you have to go!!

Vegetarians beware. Inconsistent and unclear menu options led to us two vegetarians having meat nachos served, which we only realised halfway through eating (as carnivores would also be disappointed with the small amount of meat). Not being from the beef belt, we had no idea what "brisket" was and there was no mention of Veg/GF status for the all day menu items. I even said "oh we'll go for the vegetarian options nachos and Halloumi fries then" and the teller didn't twig. Disappointing.

Attended afternoon tea with family on the 28th of May. We ordered two drinks (espresso frappe and iced mocha with cream and ice cream) and a meal (chicken burger with a side of hollandaise sauce and 1 hashbrown) We waited over half an hour for both meal and drinks, the meal was served cold, hashbrowns undercooked and hollandaise sauce was actually margarine. The mocha which was requested to have cream and ice cream, the lady at till asked if it was the iced drink ( ice cream and cream) instead of the on ice drink ( ice cubes) which was confirmed - yes. This drink was served as on ice..... My family and I are very disappointed in the quality of meal & drinks served, after hearing positive reviews & recommendations from friends about Urban Paddock.

Amazing breakfast menu, scrambled and bacon, big breakfast, fritters and omelette all on point and delicious! Coffee and service was on point! Great area out back for kids, highly recommend! Top shelf!

Had my lunch there today didn’t like my veggie burger 🍔 it was a very different veggie burger with eggplant , tomato lettuce lots of creamy sauces on the burger. Any way chips were okay . I try something else next time eaten there quite a few times always found other food I’ve eaten to be beautiful .🌝

A very big THANK YOU to Jess and the friendly staff at Urban Paddock for making our daughter's 9th Birthday Party something she will never forget. All the kids had the best time playing and eating in a very child friendly atmosphere. I would totally recommend Urban Paddock for any child's birthday party we had the best time and everything was taken care of. Thanks again Jess!!!

Great place to take kids to let them play while you have a cuppa. Food a little costly. Had the risotto which was hot. I would highly recommend especially for us living out of town and need somewhere for the children to play after a long drive

Had the most wonderful lunch here both Saturday and Sunday, great fresh produce served by happy enthusiastic young wait staff.. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to visit again some time soon!

Home for holidays and went with family for lunch. Great venue with good atmosphere. A glass of wine with very delicious food. We all really enjoyed it. Would certainly recommend. Have not been to Dalby for sometime and it is really good to see great things happening in town. Well done Urban Paddock!!

Have already spread the word on Facebook a must do if you are in Dalby or surrounds. Very family friendly the food was delicious the staff a delight. A perfect way to catch up with friends and family.

Attended a birthday party for a 4 year girl on a wet Friday afternoon. It was perfect, the kids had plenty to play with both inside and out in the rain. Would highly recommend.

Great food & coffee at very reasonable prices. I love that you've thoughtfully created a space so open & welcoming for families with safe spaces for our little people to play & enjoy their time. Makes it a great spot to be able to relax a bit as a mum when I know my children are happily playing with things there specifically for them. Thanks for bringing something like this to Dalby for the community to enjoy.

I don't think I've ever been to a better place when going out with my children! I am able to enjoy my food and company while the kids have an absolute ball (and leave me in peace!!!!) thankyou!!!

Beautiful brekky menu, decent coffee, set in the magnificent old Quambi House. The omelette was perfect. Definitely the place for brekky in Dalby.

Best breakfast and value for money. Service was excellent on a very busy Sunday morning. Coffee was excellent. The most welcoming and relaxing family cafe I have been to. Would certainly come again. 😀🌟🌟

Thank you so much for providing such a great child friendly venue! The kids enjoyed it as much as I did � Amazing outdoor play area and inside playroom when the skies opened. The food was excellent, everyone really enjoyed their meals. The staff were lovely & friendly. We will definately be back.

Visiting from Brisbane today and were taken here by friends. What a lovely place! Had the soup special which was so delicious! Had to walk past a Sale rack on the way in and scored a great shirt as well! Highly recommend if passing through town.

My family an I enjoyed lunch here today. I'm not that easily pleased when it comes to meals, but everyone of our meals were well presented and tasted amazing. Staff were very friendly and I just love the overall laid back, country, family friendly feel of the whole place. Well done to you all. Just what Dalby needed.
