Went to Beletti's for a work dinner while on a business trip from NSW and have to say by far the best lemon pepper calamari I've ever had! And fantastic customer service. When I'm in the area again definately will be back.

Very tasty matriciana, meatballs were lovely, & the lava cake was nice & rich.
But the best (& most refreshing) part was the service. All the staff were friendly, super-accommodating of our 3yr old, and interacted really well. Small things like offering cracked pepper & offering more colouring pages to our daughter, that stuff rarely happens anymore!

Very nice place in an otherwise industrial area. Big servings and very nice food. I had the salmon, it was very nice, but the potato it came with wasn't cooked enough to eat. Would come back here if I was in the area again.

If you passing through Dandenong, Beletti is like an oasis in a very industrial suburb.
Italian cuisine that equals or surpasses anything you will fine more ‘up market’ suburbs and more reasonably priced. One word of warning though, the Chocolate Dome is a unique but glutinous delight so plan to give yourself a day to digest it!!

Went with a bulk booking from work - must have been 40 odd people. Wasn’t expecting much but picked the steak.
Service was really good and then the surprise arrived - the steak was bloody delicious. Great job.

Was taken here by my boyfriend for my birthday! What a lovely little cafe! The food was delicious but not mind-blowing... I had the seafood pasta and my bf had the chicken and avocado pasta (which was slightly tastier than mine)! The service was excellent and were very thoughtful as they helped me open up my crab!The chocolate lava cake was delicious, very rich and oozed out just the way a lava cake should!

Initial service was a little slow, wandered onto a table but had to get up and ask for a menu.
Got a cappuccino to start with, which was fine.
Highlight was the bacon and egg bun which I ordered; a refreshing take on the classic. Plenty of bacon and egg sitting on a crispy hash brown with a delicious tomato relish and tasty cheese. The bun itself was toasted crisp, but remained soft on the inside.
Well done with the food, would come again.
A very authentic modern Italian restaurant. Very busy. This is the second time we have been here. Happy with both visits. Veal scallopini with mushrooms is a winner. Very tender and tasty. Chicken parmigiana ok but had better. Serving of salad and chips a little light on. Would rather the chicken not served on top of chips as they always get soggy! I had the Crispy Skin Salmon with puréed sweet potato and veggies. The salmon was a little undercooked on the inside and when I enquired I was informed that you have to ask for it to be well cooked. This is fine but I was not given the option on ordering. However, they offered to replace it but it was already mostly eaten. My overall impression was good enough for me to want to return. They were friendly and attentive enough. I just don't get the very low chairs. Very uncomfortable.
I keep coming here for tbe great service, great food and superb coffee! If you are in Dandenong and need a good coffee or dinner it's a must!

The food. I dont think ive eaten better. Anywhere. To start, the lemon pepper calamari is just the best. It can be a main meal as well and i highly recommend getting it as one of your choices. The veal scaloppini is just amazing. Great portion sizes and not that expensive. Having been to a function here and seen all the other different types of food being offered just makes me want to come back everytime i want to eat out. The food is just incredible and I cannot rate this place high enough
It is impeccable! The attention to detail, the waitstaff, the food - there is not one thing I could fault. Got my $50 rebate since I used Liven on this resto. I would recommend this place to anyone, you will not be disappointed!
I had the pork cutlet it was pretty good. Very big serves. No room for dessert. Not complaining. Nutella loves will live the desserts here.
Clean, modern restaurant. We arrived for a very early dinner (5pm) so the main service staff hadn't arrived. Service, for the first hour was rather off-hand. But when the main service staff arrived at 6pm the atmosphere changed - they were friendly and on the ball. The food was, overall, very good. The natural oysters were fresh and delicious. The dips did not taste like in-house, home made dips but plenty of bread was provided on request. The pumpkin and feta ravioli was very tasty and looked delicious on the plate. The salt and pepper calamari was tasty but, sadly, it was calamari sticks rather than the real-deal. The rocket/parmesan salad was scrumptious. Portion sizes were very generous. The coffee was spot on. Overall, a good experience in a suburb that doesn't appear to have a wide choice of fine dining dinner choices.
We had breakfast here this morning and it was really good. The 'big breakfast' is really big and tasty, and the three omelette with chorizo was really good too. Service was prompt and friendly as well.
Have dined here a few times for both lunch and dinner whilst working in the Dandenong area. Food and service has been good every time. For lunch I had the calamari salad which was really fresh and tasty. I would order it next time with the aioli on the side as was too much on top of the meal for me but still nice. For dinner I had the lamb rack which was very delicious - the lamb was tender juicy and cooked well and I would return back for this one again. Also in the entertainment book so you get a nice discount at the end for food and drinks purchased. Will return, a neighbourhood goodie.

We had to share the veal, beef ribs, aranchini balls and jaffa mousse. Aranchini balls were average. Nice flavour but Needed more cheese. It just crumbled when you cut it. I thought the veal was a bit oily but my friend loved it. I preferred the ribs, very fatty meat but very tender, fell off the bone. Nice Texas BBQ sauce. Potatoes were baked to perfection. The green beans were a little crunchy for my liking and no flavour.
Dessert was delicious! Mousse and marshmallows covered in chocolate with orange segments. I would have liked more mousse instead of marshmallows but still a nice flavour! Could definitely taste the jaffa!
Fantastic meal had the chicken ribs and rack of lamb. Service is faultless with friendly and attentive staff. Since starting this review I have eaten here a further two nights.
I have been coming here for years since they opened, always been a well presented, clean place with great service, the food however has been average. This limited my visits over the years.
In the last 6 months or so there is a new chef and the last 4 times I have been have been fantastic, it's amazing what a difference one guy (or gal) can make. Now I have a great alternative to the ever faithful Pavillon in Dandy. Edit, I have increased the rating of this place to 4.5 now, I have visited another dozen or so times and each time the food is getting better. So glad at the improvements made to this place, compliments to the chef and the management.
Went to Beletti's for the first time and I am happy to say it won't be the last. It's a great little gem for the area that hasn't got many options for dining out. Lamb rack was beautiful, I don't usual even eat lamb. The Parma was huge and the ribs were yum. The pan seared tuna was nice but mine was over done, not rare as described on the menu. The waitstaff were great and took off the garlic bread and bruschetta for the inconvience of the over cooked fish which was lovely of them. Looking forward to coming back and trying other things off the menu!
Went there this morning to get a coffee but they weren't open for another 15 minutes, the lovely lady opened cafe early just to make coffees which were fantastic! Great customer service.
I'm not sure if it's a cafe since many of the menu items reflect fine dinning experience. They did have the Beletti burger though which even though it was small it was still a good burger. Just don't expect cheap food but the quality is of a high standard.

Friendly service. Enormous meal portions. Scoth fillet was cooked to perfection as ordered. Pork belly was juicy and crispy with great flavours. Just that staff should have mentioned $2.00 charges for the extra mustard ordered. Shouldn't have charged as they were not able to provide the english mustard that was asked in the first place (was serve dijon). A bit pricy but, overall not disappointing.
Surprisingly good, even though it doesn't quite give the vibe of a place that can serve up really quality food. their pastas and meat dishes are really very good. the pastas are tasty, well presented and affordable, using fresh ingredients (particularly the seafood). I was also impressed by the service, which was very attentive and professional.
My first meal in Melbourne and it happened to be at Beletti's.I had ordered an Arancini ( a must try ) and a beer battered cod with malte vinegar sauce.The Arancini was something I had never tried before and I loved it.The tomato pureé and the cheddar cheese bits along with the balls of parmesan and vegetable mince were a mouthful of flavors.I thoroughly enjoyed eating it and I recommend others to try it as well.The beer battered cod was accompanied by boiled potatoes and mashed green peas.It tasted good but personally,I preferred the Arancini more . Overall,ambience, food and service wise I would give them an average initial rating of 4.

Non male per come si mangia in Australia... se vi capita di passare per Dandenong, vicino Melbourne (oddio non ve lo auguro, non c'è nulla) fate un salto da Beletti, l'unico ristorante decente della zona, anche perché "l'unico" nel vero senso della parola. Le aree limitrofe sono piene di postacci dove inizieresti volentieri una dieta dopo aver visto le vetrine e le foto del cibo esposto. Belletti è molto carino, arredato bene e accogliente. La musica rende l'atmosfera rilassante. Il servizio è impeccabile, i camerieri gentili e simpatici, ma dimenticatevi di voler cenare dopo le 21.00 la cucina chiude!!! Passiamo al cibo. Siamo partiti con delle bruschette, non male. L 'altro antipasto, come dalle mie foto postate, era formato da una valanga di panini accompagnati da due salse. Le salse non erano eccezionale e poi mi è sembrato eccessivo mettere tutto quel pane. Rischi di non gustare il resto. Come primo il risotto con l'agnello era saporito, ma solo per i primi bocconi, dopo stufava un po'. Magari se avessero tagliato l'agnello in bocconcini più piccoli sarebbe più parso un risotto all'agnello e non spezzatino di agnello con riso. Quando vuoi imitare troppo lo stile italiano?!?!? Il secondo era delizioso, pork belly, carne di maiale con foglioline di quadrifoglio, che da piccoli erano una rarità, qui inondano il piatto e una "mattonella" di sformato di patate che potevano anche evitare di accostare alla già saporita carne.
Great!. We had mum's 90th birthday lunch at Belettii and it was fantastic. Vera was my first point of contact and she made things easy. They have a great selection of food so there was something for everyone. Everything was fresh and delicious. On the day the staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. They were professional yet warm and friendly. Highly recommend them and I can be fussy.

We decided to take a stroll through Lonsdale Street to see if any place catches our fancy and Beletti, it was. Situated on 159 Lonsdale Street, Beletti Restaurant, Café and bar primarily serves modern Italian cuisine. Given the time, there weren’t too many customers inside save for a couple enjoying a cup of coffee outside; there is an al fresco seating area too. We were courteously greeted by the staff, who after understanding our late lunch needs, seated us inside in a comfortable area. The ambience was sophisticated, inviting with comfortable seats and sofas. There were two dining areas, the larger, stylish and plusher one reserved for large groups, parties and events.
Beautiful atmosphere but the service and food quality was by far the standout offering. The service was immediately attentive from opening the door as we entered, to knowing a smile in the waitresses direction knew we were ready for the dessert menu. Professional and friendly! The food was also fantastic. Partner had the swordfish special with sweet potato purée and parsnip, cooked to perfection and nice and succulent. I had the garlic prawns with arborio rice and a side salad. Perfect amount of prawns and was lovely. Dessert we shared the "gooey chocolate" which was a choc brownie sponge filled with choc mouse/fudge with a side of cream. To die for! The beverage options were ample, we stuck to the pepper jack Shiraz wine. They also offer the 150ml, 250ml or bottle options, which is great if you're not sure you could finish a bottle between 2! Will definitely be back, even for coffee and dessert!
Fantastic Lunch Menu. Fantastic lunch menu with so many Gluten Free options. Even the specials menu indicated which items were GF, making menu selection a breeze. As with most restaurants, the bread automatically served before the meal was not GF, even though we had just ordered two GF meals, so perhaps a GF option could be offered in this situation? Coffee here is always good and we were not disappointed today. A slight mishap with the drinks order was handled well.

Excellent customer service! Great food, atmosphere and meal presentation.. When I go to a restaurant I expect excellent service. Why? Because its something that in my experience is heavily lacking in Australia.
So when I finally find a place where to waiters, and waitresses are friendly, attentive and smiling I am shocked. Beletti Cafe is such a place. All of the staff members that I saw (along with my family, table of 6) were very friendly, making jokes, complementing the young ones drawings, and so on.
Furthermore, I wanted to eat one of the items of the menu, the Beletti burger, with an unusual request. I wanted to add an additional meat patty.
I was very appreciative of the staff member (Kane) who ensured that my wishes as a customer were met, and took the effort to ensure I could have the meal how I wanted it. Whilst I understand a restaurant has a set menu, I am grateful they took the time to go above and beyond my needs as a customer and as mentioned before believe it is something most restaurants in Melbourne are lacking.

St Simon's Christmas Function. This is the fourth Christmas Function I've organised for 25 guests and as always never disappoints, the meals all came out at the same time and were delicious. Very generous portions and the desserts are delicious. Very attentive and friendly staff nothings too hard, so thank you and I highly recommend Beletti's. See you all soon.

The food is good but it took over an hour for our mains to come out. They were very busy at the time though. The atmosphere is nice, the prices are acceptable (not cheap, not expensive). I would recommend this place to my friends.

Too Business-y. I have been here twice, once when it opened up, and today. The first time was quite average, but since that visit I can see there have been improvements! The deserts are amazing, coffee was a bit too strong for me, but my parents enjoyed it. It is an Italian restaurant, but that's not the feel you get when you walk in. It has a corporate feel to it. Very modern, clean a little bit too dark, which is probably why it feels business like. Overall, great food and good service!

Beautiful Beletti. Came here about a month ago with a girlfriend for a catch up, she recommended it and goes all the time with her family. I can see why.
The service was fantastic. I think it was the manager that served us, a slightly older tall man, and he was lovely!
I could not decide over the duck risotta and parma but i ordered the parma and couldnt eat it it was so filling but delicious. We also got a bruschetta to share which was beautiful.
We shared a strawberry cheesecake for dessert and lucky we shared because it was so filling! Ive never had a cheesecake with fresh strawberry in the middle, was beautiful.
We ended up being the last to leave as we were chatting to the manager for so long. He made us feel like we were one of his friends.

Nice Restaurant. We had a work lunch at Beletti's last week and all of us were happy with our experience. The overall atmosphere is nice, busy but not too noisy. The customer service was prompt and friendly, although the person taking the order didn't acknowledge my vegan comment, hence the creamy dressing on my side salad. Not a big deal though as the focaccia came as I had requested. My colleagues were very happy with their meals. Great coffee!
Happy dining experience!. I recently visited this restaurant with a friend for dinner and overall we were pleased with our meals and service.
We loved the setup as it looks quite modern and the colour palate is lovely.
We went on a Wednesday night with no booking, which wasn't an issue as it wasn't overly busy.
Our orders were taken pretty swiftly and the meals came out in good timing.
We had no issues with the food or service and would recommend this place to anyone for a nice, easy and tasty meal.
Pricing was also quite reasonable for the portion sizes and quality.
FYI - the saganaki was delicious.....drizzled with sambucca and set alight in front of you...yum!

A great fine dining restaurant with reasonably priced meals. The food is cooked fresh and tastes delicious. Service is also fantastic, and being able to split bills makes dinner with friends so much easier when it's time to pay the bill. I highly recommend this place.

It amazes me how many of these reviews are fake, and made up... Jil, there is no zucchini entree... If you want to give a bad review, at least make sure you know the menu!
Great for coffee & dessert. I'm yet to be convinced on mains. Had the worst risotto here twice (the vegetarian one). Tried the zucchini entree. No good. But lovely dessert. Management is great. Some newbie workers don't understand service but its good

Local favourite. I have enjoyed a number of dinners at Beletti's over the past year. I have enjoyed consistently delicious meals, the veal scallopini and calamari salad are my favourite. The restaurants decor is beautiful and makes for very chic and comfortable dinning. The wait staff are very polite and attentive, happy to answer any questions and accommodate my diet requirements. The prices are very reasonable. Overall, Beletti's offers a great dinning experience.
Very well done. The four of us headed in for a full dinner. Excellent circular booth is very comfortable (book in advance). We had a variety of meals and all of them were very good. The seafood platter was great, I had the scotch fillet steak which was tender and flavoursome, great mushroom sauce. Duck on risotto reported to be delicious. Sticky date pudding light, fluffy with separate sauce so you can adjust to your liking. Coffees were also made properly. Great service, staff know what they're doing and don't have an attitude. We had 12 courses in total, all different, all very well done. Will return.
Really, really, really happy with the service and coffee here. Waitstaff are friendly and have personality and charisma. Coffee is the best I've had in Melbourne thus far (granted, I've been here two weeks, but I drink alot of coffee!!!). Food has been good to excellent, poached eggs were perfect, Moroccan lamb salad was really really good. Moving a few suburbs away but guaranteed to be back. Definitely a favourite.
To all the critics of this fine cafe restaurant bout staff, make ur way down to belettis. New friendly staff on hand to make your dining experience a memorable 1.
