Review Michelangelo's Aspendale Gardens - Dandenong

Update; we had a chat with Rahul (manager or owner) he was very respectful and took the feedback very well. He did point out it was market price and unfortunately prices are going up as a result and rib eyes are a bit more expensive. Anyhoo raising my rating from 3 to 4 stars due to that last great interaction ....... Excellent customer service and ease of change of sides with the steak to anything was delightful. However be ware the steak is extraaaaa extra expensive and had i know it was 60$ / a piece i wouldn't have ordered. There was no price at the steak....so that's prettry expensive and it was ok but not for 60$ !!! Kinda dissapointed with the bill to be honest 😕

Love coming here! Owners and staff are super friendly. Great menu with great portions & flavours at great prices.

Michelangelo's was one of those places I had often driven past and thought "I must try that place." However for many years I didn't. Then a couple of years ago we had a family birthday and I suggested Michelangelo's .So we went . Glad we did Menu is fairly extensive with a good range of dishes ; many with an Italian flavor obviously........(Pizza,Pasta and Risotto) with some good old Aussie favorites like Steak and Fish.. Everyone at our table enjoyed the meals they had. Desserts are also highly recommended. Prices are very reasonable.

Went for dinner on Easter Sunday here, was greeted warmly immediately, the older gentleman made sure we were looked after and the service was immaculate. Ordered the Prawn Linguine which was delicious and the food came out quickly. The baked gnocchi was super yummy- they also have an extensive kids menu. Will definitely be back :)

I absolutely loved the experience. Food was amazing especially the prawn linguine. Kids menu has a good range. Price wise its $$/p but service, hospitality and quality of food more than makes up for it!!

Great place to come enjoy wonderful meals. Always delicious with generous serving. The staff are very welcoming and always friendly. Thank you for looking after us especially accommodating us at the last minute to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Cheers to John and the fantastic crew.

I went to have dinner on my birthday and I was very impressed with the service and food. Waiters were very nice and patient, got the food within 15 minutes of ordering and it was delicious. Definitely will come back.

Excellent staff, service, and food must try place.

I simply cannot get enough of this resturant! Food is extremely amazing.. Due to the COVID, I had to do takeaway.. Food is always hot and fresh plus delivery is fast. Pasta and pizza are my favorites.. Cannot eat pasta from anywhere else now after Michael Angelos. Usually when my friends and I go here, the service is friendly and we are always greeted with a smile. So fortunate to live near the place. I highly recommend this venue.

First time I came her was for a family’s birthday dinner. I’d driven past every now and again and never really noticed.<br/> I had the aranchini and the baked gnocchi. Absolutely fantastic so good generous serving but I had to finish it all it was so good! <br/>The other week we came back from visiting Mornington peninsula and came back here because how much I loved it and the gnocchi and aranchini are better than the wineries plus it’s not too expensive!
Our Family
Great local venue. Unpretentious and delivers good value, tasty food. Little one loved the spag bol, and his highlight was the ice cream counter where he could pick a scoop of ice cream.<br/><br/>Mum and Dad enjoyed the garlic bread, our shared pizza and pasta, and the good value (just over $60, incl BYO wine)<br/><br/>Service was top notch, very helpful staff, and a great host. While this is not a fine dining venue or particularly atmospheric, it delivered perfectly for the families and groups there. Would recommend for a simple family night out

Had the panfrittas with garlic and aioli dip and they were awesome! Baked gnocchi was delicious with fresh gnocchi. Pumpkin ravioli was awesome too! <br/><br/><br/>Thought this place might be similar to La Porchetta (yuck!), but it’s actually an extremely good restaurant with great food.
Melbourne Food Spotter
Amazing food and extremely friendly staff! As soon as you enter your greeted with extremely friendly waiters. Large open space for birthdays, events, etc. I ordered the spaghetti marinara which was made beautifully and there coffee was also outstanding! The pricing is very reasonable as well so it's definitely worth it. Must try!

My partner convinced me to try another pizza joint in the area and must say we were pretty happy overall. The service was really good for takeaway and we'll be back to dinein at some stage. Pizza was cooked perfectly and packed with meat while my partners lasagne was fresh and a large portion size.
Elizabeth
Cutting cost like crazy in this restaurant.<br/><br/>Ordered a dish and they brought me another dish, apparently the kitchen ran out. No communication until I made a fuss.
Decent Feed
Takeaway from Micahaelangelo seemed like the perfect option after my friends and I were feeling a little peckish in the late arvo. Choosing the pizza meal offer, which included 2 large pizzas (Chicken and Hawaiian), a loaf of garlic bread and a choice of any soft drink we wanted, we thought this was of a relatively decent price. <br/>The pizzas were a reasonable size, with decent amount of toppings. I especially enjoyed the chicken pizza which had mushrooms, pineapple, and BBQ sauce drizzled over the chicken. <br/>

Decor is dated, although clean, staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the meals were a bit bland, and not much flavour. The panfritto was excellent. Pizza was a bit soggy and was a bit undercooked, the bolognese sauce and the baked gnocchi needed some herbs as the flavour was quite dull. Overall not a bad experience, but I'm not in a rush to go back. I'd give it a 3.5.
Lucky
Attended for a function and the staff were prompt and polite with their service. Pizzas and pastas were of a good standard. Prices at the basic bistro prices.<br/><br/>My review is aimed at my function experience. Probably a good space for 50 people.

This place is a large and spacious restaurant, with some great customer service! Good for large groups. <br/><br/>They do a great pizza, my fave is the Mexicana… so yum!!! <br/>I was also able to try the steak recently, I enjoyed it! It was a good size, they cooked it well and I loved the sauce! <br/><br/>Food here is Halal for those wondering (but of course not the salami and stuff) and there is wide range of options for everyone :) Including dessert! They do a DELICIOUS Volcano Cake!! <br/><br/>If you tell them it’s someones birthday they can organise a delicious dessert platter for about $25 (pictured). <br/><br/>This is a great local spot to meet for coffee & desserts or grab a take-away pizza :) <br/>

Nice abundance plenty of room in this restaurant the staff are warm and welcoming. Just a usual place for me for coffees which always satifys the morning cravings.

Only ever had takeaway from Michelangelos and I really can't fault them too much. Portions are big and the price point is reasonable. Will come in to dine sometime soon.

Normally very good food and service but we must of got the bad night of the week Pama was the worst I’ve ever attempted to eat , now let’s just say we have been 4 times before and it’s been fantastic. But tonight the pama was soggy & cold in the middle the chicken was not nice at all my partner could not finish her pasta dish as was tasteless and bland, now the entree cheese pizza though was yum . Service always good just really didn’t enjoy paying for a dinner we walked away from . Sadly I think that’s done it for us .

Nice place! Extremely friendly wait staff who accomodated for our needs especially with the entries. The food was quite nice and traditional if that is your way inclined. However, nice experience and will come back with my family.
Charlie Orlowski
Waitress was very knowledgeable on how to change dishes to suit my dietary requirements. She knew what was in each meal, and helped me add things. Great atmosphere and many options

The restaurant is quite deceiving, first impression was. Hmmmm it’s a chain. The clientele, well...you can preempt they are regulars and are greeted by name and a warm welcome. The owner always has a smile on his face making non regulars, like myself, feel welcomed. <br/><br/>We had garlic bread to start and it didn’t disappoint. My boy had the kids margarita pizza, which arrived with the starter; his reaction is a happy thumbs up 👍<br/><br/>I’ve ordered and will be having the pork belly and my partner is having the meat lovers pizza with some changes, which they were ok with. <br/><br/>So the pork belly came with crackling, red cabbage and rosemary roasted potatoes and balsamic jus. It was tasty but maybe a little too much cabbage. <br/><br/>The meat lovers pizza contained A LOT of onion, not sure the ratio was as good as it could have been, my partner ate it! <br/><br/>Our waitress, Rhian, was helpful and very accommodating. <br/><br/>All in all a good feed, filled my tummy. 😁
Meelee Chanthery
big restaurant so it's not crowed and you don't have to yell at each other if you are going for a catch up with friends. I had the 400gram rib eye steak cooked to perfection. meat was tender and chips crispy. $38 was a reasonably price.

Get the Lamb Pizza!, great food with great desserts and nice homely interiors, I highly recommend for casual dining, celebrated my 24th birthday here accompanied by close friends and family we all enjoyed the food and had a great time, back again soon.
Nay Nay
Good service but unfortuntly the food did not deliver. Pizza was very average in taste! The menu needs work as well as flavour. The waitress made it pleasant to visit!
Bianca Pivac
Good service, large choice of food from menu. The food isn't bad, however I got food poising after eating the pumpkin ravioli. Pizzas are quite soggy too.

SERVICE: 3/5<br/>You will be ushered to your table fairly quickly however at times you will need to try and get the attention from staff for service especially during busy times. Once you have their attention, they are very accommodating.<br/>Food comes out fairly quick regardless of busy or peak times.<br/><br/>FOOD: 3/5<br/>I have been a few times over the years and have found the food is a hit and miss. I would usually come for lunch and haven't enjoyed it as much.<br/>Most recently came for dinner with a large group expecting average food again however dishes we had over dinner were quite enjoyable.<br/><br/>Chicken Parma - Nice cut of juicy breast coated in crispy batter. The napoli sauce also didn't sog the chicken and chips were piping hot and crunchy. Very happy camper here!<br/><br/>Baked Gnocchi - Bubbling hot right out of the oven. This dish was full of cheesy goodness but wasn't too overpowering or greasy to eat. Flavours were good in this dish.<br/><br/>Lasagne - Traditional Italian style with melting pasta sheets, tasty bechamel sauce, some fresh napoli and finished with parmesan on top. Thoroughly enjoyed.<br/><br/>Many others had pizza at our table which also looked pretty appetising.<br/><br/>DECOR & AMBIENCE: 3.5/5<br/>It is a noisy family restaurant environment but it does not feel too overwhelming as the layout is very open plan and spacious. Tables towards the front seem nosier and busier so if it's a quieter meal for two you want to have here, request for one of the rear tables.<br/><br/>KID FRIENDLY: Yes, high chairs and kids menu available

Came here on a Friday night with a reservation. Place is quite large though and while it did get a bit busy, there were plenty of seats (would recommend booking for larger groups though). The staff are really gracious and friendly, and this is a great spot for families to come for dinner and lunch. I had the lasagne and it was quite nice; pasta sheets were cooked well, portion was decent and flavours were there, although sometimes a little on the borderline of salty. Pizzas were a hit with everyone - definitely give it a shot if you are in the area!

Michelangelo's is a fantastic place to dine if you want good food for a reasonable price. It is not fancy, but definitely tasty with a menu with enough selections to satisfy everyone in the family. <br/>The chicken and avocado salad is no exception and if you are after a lighter meal this is a satisfying option, with well dressed salad greens, not so spicy Cajun chicken tenders and a fair whack of avocado your tummy will thank you! <br/>I am not a fan of their coffee and the pre-made desserts are not tempting enough for me to indulge, but the service is friendly and they make a mean lemon-lime and bitters!<br/>I would also recommend the Honey glazed lamb and the Veal.

Had an early Father's Day dinner last Saturday night. As always we were greeted by the friendly manager and staff who give you enough time to look at the menu and you never feel rushed. The restaurant was fully booked but service was spot on and all our meals which included pizza's pasta and desserts were delicious. Going to give the breakfast buffet a good workout this weekend.
Anna Astarlis
We ordered the fish special and we were disappointed with the servings. Not enough for the price they ask. We came here a while ago and the servings were definitely more generous.
Judy
Had a pleasant feed here, food was average but does the job for a quick feed. Chips were nice, salad was pretty good but the star of the night was the half and half pizza with the michaelangelos special and chicken satay. Overall, good food !
Chris Martin
Great place. We go there often and the food is always fanastic. Same for the service. Great portions and if you cant finish it you can always get it in a doggy bag. We love this place
Megha Koppa
A gorgeous Italian restaurant that have friendly staff. The food never stops to amaze me. Always ask for the specials because their head chef can create beautiful pastas/main meals. Would definitely go here regularly if I lived any closer to Aspendale/Chelsea Heights

Review of Calabrese pizza without salami, and chicken Parma. <br/><br/>The short of it;<br/>Great serving sizes, fantastic food, great customer service, short wait times, and dessert to kill for. <br/><br/>Our waitress at the start of our visit wasn't overly good at holding a section - she may be new, but she was spending far too long at one table and not paying much attention to her other customers. <br/><br/>I looked over the pizza menu and saw a lot of options that sounded delicious without the meat. I eventually decided on the Calabrese without the salami, and my sister went for the Parma. <br/><br/>Within 10 minutes, our plates had arrived, which was incredibly impressive given how busy they were. Serving sizes were huge, and admittedly my eyes were bigger than my stomach when I ordered the large pizza - boy was it LARGE! I got through half before giving up and taking the rest home. <br/><br/>My sister thoroughly enjoyed her Parma, and struggled with it, given how big the serving was. The chips were crunchy and delicious - I stole a few. <br/><br/>Towards the end of our visit, we had another waitress take over our table (we had noticed the absence of our first waitress for a while at this point), and was much more attentive to all tables around. <br/><br/>The dessert fridge had many options, but we eventually came to a decision. My sister opted for a slice of lemon meringue pie, which ended up being a giagantic slice. I chose the Bomboloni, and that is a dessert to kill for. The doughnuts are small enough that they're perfectly bitesized but still crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the Nutella sauce is incredible. I couldn't recommend this dessert highly enough.

Great food, great service, and byo with no corkage! New management has done wonders for this restaurant! Ignore the previous ratings and reviews from previous owners, I'll be heading back to this place.

This place has dramatically improved since change of ownership! Menu has some great choices. Eye fillet was one of the best I've had in a long time. Fantastic service and very friendly staff. Can't wait to go back!

We visited Michelangelo after it changed hand to new owners from Southgate. I have to say things have been improved dramatically i e service and food. We tried their parma and some salad and they both were terrific. Staffs were friendly and accommodating. We hope they will keep lifting their game and win over more customers in the future. Recommended.

Haven't been here in a while, found out it's under new management. Was taken over by the Intermezzo guys from Southland. The old Michaelangelos venue has been refurbished inside and the menu has been updated. <br/><br/>We ordered the salt and pepper calamari for the entree which was nice but didn't come with the any sauce even though it was listed on the menu, so we asked the waitress and she brought over some aioli. We had a blue heaven milkshake with the 400gm rib eye and the lasagne. The food was cooked very well and are both substantial sized meals. The steak was cooked perfectly and is a great cut however it lacked sauce as it was only lightly drizzled on top of the meat but it was very nice. The lasagna was very rich and very saucy but was also quite nice. We didn't realise the water was self serve so we asked the waiter for water who brought us 2 glasses and then explained to us it was a self service station but probably should of explained it at the start. It is a very large venue and looks like it would be a great choice for a birthday or celebratory function for a big group people.
Ally Midwood
Average food - service was quick. Although not everything needs to be drowned in balsamic. After eating the waitress didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert even after sitting at an empty table 15 mins. POS system is weird because they make you pay at their take away counter. Not interested in going back.

Like a Groove Train, bit of a barn style place big and cold. Food a mix of Italian, Asian, Mexican, Australian... Not a great wine list and whilst the food is plentiful it's not fantastic, soggy chips and brown lettuce leaves I had, big hustle and bustle of a joint with little atmosphere

Very nice place, great food !

YUM. The service here is excellent and tuesdays are my favourite cause its STEAK NIGHT which is extreamly mouth watering. my friend had ordered the pizza and she said it was amazing. definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Great restaurant. Fantastic service and food.

Fast Service Ever!!!. Loved the service, loved the food. Nice place to eat. Will definitely be back!
Pjbro5
Service was really good, nice smiley friendly staff and food was well portioned. Nothing special but the Parma hit the spot wonderfully.
Robin
Not much, pretty disgusting really. Lemon calamari salad: salad consisted of cos lettuce leaves, three cherry tomatoes and some cashew nuts with a foul balsamic dressing. Never again!
Maria Black
Definetly would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for great food, excellent service and terrific value for money. The bruschetta entree was one of the best I have had....beautifully presented and was as good as it looked. The mains that followed were of the same high standard. Will definitely be back.
KT
The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was lively. There were alot of families tonight and a few couples. We were seated in the far left corner of the restaurant, which was private and cosy.

Have been here a few times over the years, and it seemed to get worse on each visit. I had just about written if off completely until I was looking for a place for dinner this week with the family, and saw the comments about the change of ownership and that the Intermezzo owner had taken over. Hallelujah!!!!! Pleased to say the food and service has improved out of sight, and great to see a friendly and familar face greeting customers coming into the restaurant.....the little things make a big difference.........we will definitely be back!

Missing intermezzo, disliking this place. Friday visit. I loved intermezzo at southland and blackrock. Was disappointed by our experience. Staff were not friendly (except the bar tender), pricing was ave to high, food was ave. Sad to say, wont be coming back here again. Too places that are cheaper with better food or have good customer service to compensate.
Jack Biglietto
Loved it. It was the old team from intermezzo at Southland. Will be back.
Gerry H
Intermezzo has re-surfaced. 5 of us who were regulars at Intermezzo at Southland made our first visit to Michaelangelo's at Aspendale Gardens. Great to see the Intermezzo crew. We were there on Tuesday Night Steak night. Friendly greeting on arrival. The restaurant is well laid out with plenty of space between tables and groups from 2 to much larger groups can be catered for. Our orders were 500 gram rump steak $26.90, scotch fillet $24.90, moroccan lamb salad $19.90, avocado chicken salad $19.90, wild burramundi $23.90. The steaks and fish were served with mixed salad and chunky cut chips. Steaks cooked to perfection medium rare. Other dishes were given tick of approval.<br/>The sweet menu was perused but no room left but would be very tempting to sweet tooths. Meal was finished with coffees which were flavoursome and hot. Service was efficient, friendly but not intrusive. The menu is very similiar to what was the fare at Southland. What was Westfield at Southland thinking when they moved Intermezzo on and replaced it with the rubbish restaurant that is there now? Well worth the drive to visit Michaelangelos and on this our first visit we were not disappointed and will be back on Monday for parma night..
Tf323
New owners very welcoming and friendly. Not a lot of change to the menu but never a bad meal. Nice to see a positive vibe back.
Kerry
Relocated Intermezzo team found!. For those who enjoyed the consistent and well priced food of intermezzo at Southland for years, this is where they have moved to. Budgie and the team are offering up a lot of the familiar and some new items at good prices. The staff are friendly, if settling in a bit, the space is lovely and there are no problems fitting in large groups. We went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty busy so I think the locals are discovering this place. It is a great venue for our family that range in age from grandparents to little ones with something to please all. We will be back.
Jimmyed
Jimmy. Stay clear from that restaurant since it has changed owner. The pizza is horrible, the fisherman's basket more dough that sea food , a real turn away. The staff however were polite, smiled and were embarrassed with the quality of food when confronted....give us back Renato, the previous owner. Renato will cry an ocean when he visits his old establishment. Stay clear , .
Rpow
Quality in the suburbs. Went with a mate looking for a good meal without spending a lot. Food was excellent. No one left hungry. Good value too. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Lots of families with young kids too. Professionally run, quality food at an affordable price.
Minh
Went down to their steak night on Tuesday.<br/><br/>Customer service was semi decent, poor greeting and didn't smile.<br/><br/>Chips was just border line cold-warm and the mushroom sauce that was ordered with the scotch fillet was simply COLD and WATERY.<br/><br/>P.s baked gnocchi and garlic pizza is actually decent :)
MYNAMEISSAM
Hmm yeah it's just okay. Food nothing spectac!!
Nita Elpilysia
Ordered pork rib, the meat was hard and only 3 pcs. For $33 it is too expensive.

Great food. I was surprised that this place wasn't rated higher. I booked this place for my birthday and looked it up here on urban spoon to show my friends. They know i love good food and doubted i would pick a place for my birthday that wouldn't have good food and ambience. They all agreed that the rating was harsh as we thoroughly enjoyed ALL our dishes. Every single one of them were generous in size and full of flavours. Delicious and fresh too. and waiting wasn't too long. They made great cocktails too.
Somerlind
Cold Food. We were a large group (22) on two tables, the first table ordered second got served first, they then came out and said "due to one of the orders taking longer it would be another ten minutes for ours to come out, they were instructed to server the rest, by the time our food did come out, ( all at once, even the ones that were told 10 more minutes) the first table to be served were finished with there meal. My dish which should have been cooked last for the simplicity of it was COLD. was so discussed I told them to take it back and take it off the bill, it totally ruined my appetite , will never go there again and I will tell other not to also !
HonestReviewsFromMe
Gotten worse and poor service. First tried this in December 2013. <br/>Have come back about 5 times, but each time the service gets worse and worse. <br/>This weekend (22 Feb 2014) was especially bad – 1.5 hours to get 2 mains and a pizza. <br/>It was not a very busy night at all. <br/><br/>Some tips: <br/>When we are seated, please give us a menu at that time. <br/>Don’t make us sit at the table for 10-15 mins then bring over a menu. <br/>It took 45 mins from us sit down until we finally ordered our food. <br/>Meals then took around 50 mins to arrive. <br/>Desserts came out quick but were from the cabinet and it was almost 10pm by that time so many diners had left. <br/><br/>Pizzas are really good here. Every pizza we have ever had was delicious. <br/><br/>Mains Food: spring lamb rack/lamb crumbed cutlets at $33. <br/>The rosti was not at all fried or crispy, was basically a rounded pile of mash. Not enough other vegetables. 3 tips of meat is not enough. The biggest disappointment was the plate was covered in balsamic vinegar: nothing on the plate could be cut without dipping it in the horrid stuff. Not a pleasant dish. <br/><br/>Baked gnocchi at $30<br/>3 basil leaves on top, 3 small pieces of buffalo moz. Bland dish with stodgy gnocchi and what tasted like a tin of tomatoes added. Not an enjoyable dish. <br/><br/>Desserts:<br/>Are always nice quality from the cabinets. The Nutella and Marshmallow calzone: yumm! All desserts are a bit on the pricey side though, but cabinet cakes are a decent portion size. <br/><br/>Staff asked if our meal was satisfactory before we had taken a bite, then didn’t ask again. <br/>I’m not sure if this last experience has meant it’s our last time at this restaurant.
Karenjeffery
Dining michelangelos - never again. No gluten free pizza base on request when stated on the menu. Many dishes with feta cheese, goats milk cheese, plus other cheeses ?not cows milk based ( I react to othermilk products, anaphylactic reaction, but carry an epipen) Husband & I ended up having pizzas not a great choice for a special night out. Staff were rude abrupt & had no people skills. ASked if our meakll was satisfactory but did not wait for a reply. Told in paying the bill "Hoped we would return' obviously did not hear me say 'never again'. It used to be excellent, some years ago. Will not hesitate in spreading the bad word ---
Facebook User
Disappointed again. Just ordered take away Traditional pizza and it was hideous. 3 leaves of basil in total, 4 slices had no cheese at all and the other 4 had one small piece, plus a few cherry tomatoes. A complete rip off. We have had countless terrible meals from here but time passes and we think we'll try them again. Never has a meal left me so angry and disappointed.
Oemor
Friendly service - average food. Atmosphere was good, service was slow but when we were served, the waiter was friendly. meals took a while to come out. Food was average, but so are the prices.
Paula Blannin
Slow but friendly service. My food was great but my mates calamari was cold and floury, chips were yummy though
Tim S
Only had pizzas which were ok/good (not great) but menu way overpriced for what it is. Drinks very exy also. $8 for a Crown Lager...really??!!
Dani_y4
Bad service. Food was good but overpriced. This is after all Chelsea heights not south bank. <br/>I have never encountered such bad service. Garlic bread & kids meals took 30 min. It was not overly busy so not sure why it took so long<br/><br/>3 people on our table ordered dessert. One came out quite quickly with us having to chase the other 2. So the 2 cakes came out about 20 mins later in wait for it.......PLASTIC CONTAINERS!!! Meaning eat it at home. I was shocked!! I have never encountered anything like it!! When questioned the waitress offered no apology just a blank stare. <br/><br/>The bill had an extra dessert charged& the assistant manager again offered no apology just the same blank stare<br/><br/>I will never go back ever! I just found the plastic containers to be quite insulting
Katie.mclean
Great service. This restaurant has the best service, the waiters are always available when you need and quick to follow up. Food is great and the meals are well sized. The prices have really crept up over time and it has become quite pricy for a family style restaurant though.
Marcos
Finally, hopefully Michelangelo has its flair back. we were regulars until service and food went dramatically downhill.<br/>only due to friends taking us out for dinner tonight! we had no interest in returning after our previous experiences. food was horrible and cold, service, I have had better service at target!!!<br/>well we were impressed. la porcetta no more!! service was much better. The food was impressive. entrees were a good mixture, and mains steaks, fish and pasta bugs mmmm, and crispy pork that melts in your mouth. never seen pork like it... and the gravy is real, not like the once previous brown water. fantastic food finally, we will return for sure..glad we went.<br/>the thing is! will it last, lets see. the days you struggled to get seat. is this the return lets see. AA++

Fantastic! A+ all round! Wa.... Fantastic! A+ all round!<br/>Waitresses are extremely friendly and helpful, very courteous. <br/>Meals were delicious and reasonably priced. Very happy will definitely be coming back!

Haven't been in ages and it has had a complete turn around. The staff are super friendly and seem to enjoy being there. I had the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly and my partner had barramundi. Kids enjoyed the pizza and free icecream will definately be going back

Poor service bad dining. Lack of customer service<br/>awful<br/>will never return to michelangelo's and im a local in the area for 15 years<br/>Really disappointed with the staff and speed to bring out even a soft drink (30 mins)<br/>POOR SERVICE

This place has some nice food, but maybe abit loud
Lesley
Best Pasta!!. Loved this place. Haven't tasted pasta this good in a long time. The linguine was magificient. And the panfritto melted in your mouth. Yum. Craving some now actually. Can't wait to return when I visit this part of town!!
Peter Wood
Over priced!. We dined here for the first time. The food was adequate but very over priced and my partner's mixed grill was not even tepid; it was cold.<br/>It is just pub fare really and to charge $6 for a stubby of beer did add insult.
Mary Burnie
Went for dinner tonight with family. Food was terrible. Portions that were no bigger than an entree serve, were in fact main serves, with main size prices. Spoke to manager, who clearly did not have any people skills + clearly didnt care. Complained about the food, no-one came to ask why, etc. Service was terrible + so overpriced for such a low quality restaurant. Will never go back + wont be recommending this place to anyone. In fact, will make sure i tell as many people as possible about it.

I'd rather eat the menu. Have come here a few times now thinking it will be better than last time but everytime, I still get dissappointed! My last time was a few months ago now where I bought 3 people along with me! BIG MIstake! THe food was atrocious! The salad was limp and looked like it was recycled! The food came out at different times and it was way overpriced for what it was. I feel this restaurant is lacking something but not quite sure what it is! THe restaurant it self is lovely and inviting so it's not the decor! Maybe the food needs a bit more TLC! IT's is a upmarket pizza pasta bar to me and not much else. Eventhough I didn't have one, the desserts looked great behind the glass case. Can't say I will go back. Either the service needs to improve or the prices come down for the current quality!
Ilana
The food is very overpriced for what you get. An average bistro meal with above average resteraunt prices. My friend ordered the calamari salad and got a huge salad with 4 small pieces of calamari placed in each corner of the plate. Service was lovely!

Expensive but location great as there is not much of this standard in the area. Service was lovely and friendly. Not a great vegetarian variety, but the tapas were lovely - however all the vegetarian tapas were battered and deep fried, making it a tad bland. Overall, nice.

Have bern going there regularly for a couple of years and found the food good and service fine. Was there two weeks ago and noticed they've changed manager. First terrible experience i've had. Went with a group and service was indifferent to the point of rude. Manager brought food over we hadnt ordered and was surly and rude when we said it wasnt ours. Three pasta meals came out cold. Not just luke warm but inedible cold. Food was all brought out at different times do that half the people had finished before some had begun. Wont be going back for awhile if at all, was so soured by numerous aspects of the meal and service. Very disappointing

Been coming here for more than 3 years. Never had a bad meal, good variety. Friendly staff. Will be back!

They have a massive menu but probably compromise on quality a little. The restaurant is a glorified la porchetta I think. The decor is attractive but there are better dining options around.

Pizzas were great. Dessert was great.

Not impressed. I heard about this on ABC news radio and have always wanted to go. Went here with family and we were disappointed! I had the Moreton Bay Bugs which were stacked together and were tasteless and also a Margarita which was made like a sugary lemonade, I told one of the waiters "this isn't Margarita", which he agreed but refused to give a refund citing "this is all we have".

The food is very nice (especially the carbonara with penne pasta) and the staff seem nice each time I go there.

Food and service very good. Clearly selection of wait staff is to be applauded.

My heart sank a little. The meat looked overcooked without even cutting it, and the side meals… Well they were abysmal.
